Oh man... OH MAN the battles was SO CLOSE! They were both hitting and whapping one another, Kirby against Pit, the fight of all fights! And then it happened. One hit too hard, one panicked flying too short, and they were both tumbling off the map, off screen. Only Kirby fell first. Pit's face came across the screen, the other characters clapping off to the side, and Izzy groaned, flopping back over onto Toby's lap. "Dammit! I guess I lost! I thought you would suck! Guess I was wrong." His head was in Toby's lap now, and he looked up at the boy, grinning. "Alright, Mr. Toby. what do you want?"

Toby was certain he'd timed that last hit wrong, and that he had lost...but then Pit was on the screen all happy, and he whooped out a victory cheer. "Hah! I told ya you didn't stand a chance!" he declared...and then found his leg was a pillow once more. He looked down at Izzy, and patted his arm lightly. "Well, that is a good question," he said. He left his hand there as he considered a moment. "I think I want you to sing me a song," he decided. "A proper song, not something that takes 5 seconds to finish." Toby grinned down and nodded. "You did say you could sing, after all!"

"Oh pfft, whatever, it was close and you know it!" If he had started the game sitting up, it would be TOBY who was the loser, not him! But he still won, fair and square, and announced his prize. ... And Izzy blinked, unsure if he was serious or not. "Are you sure that's what you want?" He asked, patting that hand that was on his arm and holding it in place while he thought it over. "Cuz like, I'll do it, but I'd sing for you anyway. If that's what you want though, What kinda song?"

"Oh really?" Toby replied, grinning. "Well, in that case, maybe I should make you dress up again and sing for me?" he suggested. "I'll think about it...what sort of songs do you know?" Half his closet was filled with arbitrary cosplay, after all...

"Dress me up all you want, dude. I guess I'm your doll for now!" With sisters like his, he was used to dressing up, getting his hair 'done' and put in all sorts of sparkly dresses. The only reason he even got embarrassed that Toby showed up at the cafe was because it was specifically Toby, who he wanted to intimidate at first. Now, he didn't care, and just reached up to fiddle with the blonde's green stripe in his hair as he laid there in his lap. "Hmmm... HMMMMMM..... Good question. I dunno. Disney songs? Some Spanglish songs... A few theme songs to different shows. Most of what's on the radio these days, more ballads and pop than rap or anything. I think it's easier for you to name a song and then we go from there."

"Wow, lotta songs, then," Toby replied, and gently pushed Izzy aside. "Lemme see here," he said, standing up and walking over to his closet (each of the doors, naturally, and a variety of posters and printed artwork on it). He pulled open the left side, and a light blue sword fell out. "Oops," he said, and gently nudged it aside with a foot. "Disney and spanglish songs, huh?" he asked, and started shifting things around. "So, like, Coco?" He pulled out...a red hoodie, and looked back at Izzy with a smirk.

When he was pushed away, Izzy sat up, watching Toby carefully, curiously, wondering exactly what he was up to... Aaaaand there it was. That dreaded hoodie, one of which he had worn almost every day for a long while. “Of course like Coco! I have little sisters, you know. Little sisters who loved that movie and wanted me to sing it for them over and over and over again. Easy peasy! Just hand me that hoodie and I’ll get right to it. Hmm... You don’t happen to have a guitar too, do you? I know the chords for that too!”

Toby thought he saw a hint of dread in Izzy's face for a brief moment, but dismissed it immediately. "Oh, I don't, but..." He walked over to his little music corner and picked up a cymbal that was sitting there. "My dad does," he explained with a grin. He opened the bedroom door (showing that it actually blocked a fair bit of noise), and banged the thing for a few seconds until the music downstairs stopped. "What?" his dad's voice wafted up. "Can I borrow your guitar?" Toby called out. "Yeah, it's up there still!" "Great, thanks! Don't forget the pizza!" Something inaudible was mumbled, and then the music started again. Toby put down the cymbal. "Perfect," he said, grinning. "Got one for ya. Just a sec." He left the room then, and returned about a minute later. He left his costume collection wide open, but wasn't worried about it.

Welp. He did not see that coming. But honestly, he should have expected it. This was a musical house hold after all. In the time it took for Toby to call to his dad and run around, Izzy had the hoodie on, and pulled up over his head in typical Miguel in the Land of the Dead Fashion. It was tempting to go peek into that closet, but he remained, staring instead at the random posters on the wall. “Ooh, nice. I guess you want the whole performance then.” He took the guitar from Toby, strumming the strings to make sure they sounded right. Eh, good enough. “Now, important question. Do you want the movie version of my favorite song, or the Izzy version?”

Toby laughed happily upon his return. He offered up the guitar...a normal one, not a fancy painted one, and said, "Oh, there's an Izzy version?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "Absolutely I wanna hear that one." He nodded, and sat back down on his bed.

“Izzy version it is then.” Once Toby sat down, Izzy smiled, moving to stand up before the other boy. “Alright, this is for you, Toby.” He began to play the melody to Un Poco Loco, but slowed down considerably, to the point where it was nearly unrecognizable. Each verse was sung to match, soft and steady, much more like a sweet and loving ballad than the happy-go-lucky song the original version was. And not once did his eyes leave Toby’s, his gaze as gentle as he could manage. Instead of dancing about and having fun like the movie did, the young man simply rocked a little to his own singing, fingers deftly moving from chord to chord in a manner that showed that he had done this more than a few times. Towards the end, instead continuing to play the guitar, he set it down, taking Toby’s Hand and pressed a very small kiss to the back of it while crooning the last words with a grin. As he finished, he didn’t let the other boy’s hand go. “Well... How was that? Good enough a prize?”

Toby didn't really know what he'd expected, but it was definitely not this. Oh no. He didn't complain, though...he watched, transfixed, as Izzy basically sang him a love song. No, not basically. Definitely did. His face rather quickly managed to turn red again, although he had a smile on his face the whole while. And then, right at the end, Izzy took his hand and kissed it, making his heartbeat speed up again. He was doing this as a tease, right? It wasn't really... ...What ever the case, his response was to grin at Izzy, and lift the still held hand, twisting slightly, to provide his own kiss onto Izzy's hand, just to see how he'd react. "That was a perfect prize," he said softly.

Maybe Izzy tried a little harder than he meant to. What could he say? The moment Toby went tomato, he wanted to keep him that way. Sadly, it wasn’t the same, flabbergasted reaction he got when he was talking to Mr Yates and hanging off of him, but oh well. It was still amusing. Even the little kiss received on his hand was amusing. Though disappointing in a way. It meant that Toby wasn’t as flustered as he wanted him to be. “Good! I did my best for you, so you dang well better appreciate it! And you only get it once. No more singing for you tonight! Only Pizza! Do you think it’s done?”

It was about that point that Toby realized what he'd just done, and so he laughed nervously, eyes looking up and away. "I definitely...appreciate it. Though you know I've, uh, gotta hear other stuff you can sing now." He blinked. "Well... after pizza. Yeah. Let's go see if it's done yet." He stood up quickly...although unless Izzy pulled away, he kept holding the hand absently.

“Nope, you only get one song tonight. One thing per game win, one thing per bet made. Besides, you still gotta play for me too.” Was what he did too much? Toby didn’t exactly look at him, but at the same time, still held his hand. That was totally a good thing, right? People held hands when they wanted security or something, or if they just liked it. Maybe Toby was the kinda kid who was affectionate like that. It didn’t bug Izzy none at all, in fact, he laced their fingers together. “Should we grab the pizza and bring it up here, or eat down there with your Dad?”
