Minori buried the lower half of his face back behind his scarf again when he was finally noticed, like a little groundhog spooked by a shadow. The single eye not veiled by his black hair had a glint when he stared back at his dad, he was grinning wide in the folds of the scarf and preferred to hide the childish expression, a quirk of his he didn't quite grow out of. He ran to them still, the coat flowing behind him as it barely hung from his shoulders as he jumped with a slight skip with a few gestures as a ninjutsu sign was made with a single hand as a heated gale howled behind Minori as he jumped the rest of the distance with a shaku-fuuton jutsu, a boom echoing behind him as leaves scattered. It was a eight foot jump at least, scarce amount of chakra and a wind tousled head of a hyperactive nine year old before his parents, the air warmed with the dry shakuton chakra still emanating off. Smiling still at his little feat, the boy rocked back and forth on his feet, arms swaying forward and back opposite of his feet rocking. He wordlessly pursed his lips in a mock pout at his dad's astute observation, a shake of the head as he both both hands palm side up like a see saw to say maybe, he wouldn't confirm if he was watching.
The boy tried his best to play dumb but stilled himself when the sword was offered to him, the smile went away and his eyes settled over the scabbard. He held the weapon in both hands in almost a sense of bewilderment, and he looked at his mom then dad and then he looked back at the sword once more. With a snap of the finger and a small gesture, Minori dropped the blade so it fell an inch before a soft current of wind swirled underneath it so it would levitate in place as he signed to papa.
Fear, he perceived danger in his father's sword as Minori signed the language for pain and danger and then grabbed the sword again as he shown an interest in it still, slowly pulling it free from its protective sheath. Minori was weary of anything that might put him close to others as he hesitantly held it away from himself, awkward in how heavy and large it was in his hand. He tucked the scabbard in his belt then and took a swing with one hand, other performing a flowing seal and it was done. A thin blade of wind swept across the air while the air as flames followed in its wake, the crescent slash sailing harmlessly off in the water while the burning embers fizzled out in mid air from his display of his mothers bloodline mixed with his mastery of wind.
Minori awkwardly held the sword still as he looked at his own reflection in its steel, gloved fingers touching the cold steel. Fear. Amazement. Both emotions were strong in him, he was ever so impressed with dad's weapon. Soon, he returned the weapon to its scabbard, slowly. No smile, but a small grin then as to say he enjoyed it at the least.

Yashima didn't experience another attack from Sonyo....so he could only assume that she stopped. Still completely helpless he felt bad about this...really bad. This wasn't something he'd ever experienced before...and it would only be made worse not long after. He was still unable to see, he could not tell where anything was....or what was around him. He at least had maybe expected Sonyo to come help him seeing as she knew he was blind and while deaf he was literally incapable of anything. Instead of the feel of skin on skin, of being pulled up, or anything he was ready for however he felt the slimey scaley? form begin to touch him from out of no where. Small bugs he was ready for, that was normal, but some lizard probably the size of his hand he was not. He quickly and in a panicked state jumped up and started to flail his arms around completely shocked by the being that decided to begin crawling on him. Hopefully his flailing would cause the beast to leave his form and he would make like a tree and leave. Running in god knows what directions but away from whatever was just crawling on him in a panick.

Sumika's puppet circled down over the trees, depositing the woman onto the roof of one of Takijinsei's many abandoned buildings before poofing away into nothing. She slid slightly, sending a few ancient looking roof tiles scattering, before gracefully hopping off the roof, gracefully catching the edge with one of her hands, and zipping through one of the broken windows. The interior of the apartment was rather clean, all things considered. She couldn't take back the wear, but it wasn't a tough task to make it a place she could at least visit. Especially not with her new ability to manipulate Mokuton. A chair of fresh wood was the most notable addition, though she had spent the night here on temporary creations a couple times over the years. Sumika's outfit began to slip away a moment later, coalescing into a cube under the window she'd entered via and leaving her in her harness and slim fit coveralls. A gesture and the chair shifted itself into a strange looking lounge rooted to the floor at a single point. And inviting relaxation aid that the puppeteer gladly settled into. Hopefully Cobalt would be back from his excursion by the time he woke up.

And so Maki followed. An agent without her mask who was still in the basics of her uniform. She ditched the cloak somewhere along the walk. The JUEI uniform breathes ambiguity with pattern greys, dark tones, and a cloth hood that could even suppress the immense, matted locks of the mountain hermit Masato to a slick silhouette. As per design, only the wearerโs form and voice could define individuals despite the coordination among uniforms.
Makiโs mask was still on its clip at her waist. Her hood was still withdrawn at her neck. Pursuing someone who took to the skies made tracking a trip and the intricate web of foliage dotting Takijinsei was a natural labyrinth, no, fortress of timeโs reclamation. Maki had help, at least. No JUEI agents followed her. Besides, there was no use roping the hotheaded rooster or the stubborn boar into this. The help at Makiโs disposal was a small, ordinary mum fleet of field mice endemic to the continent and the forest. The mice Maki could call upon were naturally intune with nature and intune with Maki. No special abilities, really, beyond the natural wonders of little mice. Being normal, trained mice made them special in their own way for the work of a JUEI agent. They were little acrobats at times too but the grass mouse circus was a side hobby they werenโt readily going to squeak about. Their adventure through the shady underbrush of forest litter, paddling through puddles, dirt, and along shadowy tree trunk pathways to meet the grumpy genin theyโve been so thoroughly told about. Innocuous critters that carry on mostly as benign, foraging regulars of the forest floor but harboring a goal to lead their friend where ever need be. A scent in the forest stood out to the field mouse fleet more and more about their scurry. Not the heavenly aroma of dirt, no, but among the sweet fragrance of fronds. It was a feat that the field mice had even closed in on and entered the decrepit, reclaimed ruins. The fleet conveying silent, mousy signals and questions to one another: is it safe? No big birds? Go check! Be safe! I hope we can go home soon, Iโm hungry. Itโs nice and dark here, letโs go see it! Their language was subtle, soft, and uniquely field mouse. Their actions, despite being creatures so small in size, were bold and daring like they had the courage of great brown bears. At least two mice squeezed their way into the interior of ruins. The two met snakes and birds who would stalk them and yet seem to scurry over the pane of a broken window and tumbled after the other. They took a chance on following a strange scent that made them think a little of Maki, just on the other side of the broken window. The bird on their tail changes coarse suddenly outside. Sailing past the broken window screeching.
The petulant puppeteer sensed the mice and their strange movements, picked small pieces of their conversation out - though they weren't quit the same as her rats. It seemed the village didn't see fit to leave her alone. Or the JUEI pretender was here liaise with the Rat Queen herself. The woman sighed as she slid off the lounge, a few seals and that wood was shifting into a chair and desk to prop her feet up on. She fiddled with the black bodysuit to fix the paces where it had gotten a bit twisted, before plopping down in the desk opposite the window to await the arrival of whatever was coming her way. Time for round two. Ideally this wouldn't start with a fight, but who knew what the orders directed at her would be. Sadayo had already threatened to dump her into a hole, and Sumika obviously wasn't taking a chance of letting just anyone do that.

The two mice rolled across the floor until their momentum gave way to a stop and piled onto one another. The larger of the two had a tan nose, short whiskers, and scrambled to shove the second mouse away. The second of the two mice sporting white round ears, a pink nose, and certainly proving itself the more nervous of the two as the tan nosed mouse stood erect to study Sumika. The larger mouseโs large, black eyes seem to twinkle while twitching its nose upon squeaking, โitโs a human girl.โ โIs it our human girl?โ The smaller mouse inquired softly, squirmed before rolling onto all four feet and looked up toward Sumika. No reply came from the larger mouse as it paused to wipe its nose instead. โOh! You hear that?โThe second mouse squeaks and rolls its white round ears about, โthat rattle.โ At first, the rattling noise the field mouse was muttering about wasnโt audible but until a moment later. The rattle carried on as an echo which reverberated gradually into a clacky crescendo. The forest of Takijinsei was alive. โThatโs a good noise,โ the tan-nosed mouse cooed and darted for the climb up to the broken window. In the window, the tan-nosed mouse was inadvertently signaling his own safety to his fellow "fieldlings" watching from far away but couldnโt help but crouch and cower away from Sumika nearby. His ears fan and swerve as he was risking his life to catch a glimpse of the living forestsโ rattling choir. The field mouseโs demeanor changes instantly with a cheery peep crying, โkodama!โ He turns his body to check on Sumika as she sat at her desk, โAre you friends with kodama? Kodama are friend.โ With his whole body, it seemed, the field mouse took in Sumikaโs scent and twitched his nose, โyou smell like a friend. She said to smell for a friendโฆ hmm.โ This conclusion that Sumika must be a friend made the tan-nose field mouse almost prefer asking her about the clattering kodama until the smaller mouse crawled up to the window. Curving its little white ears forward to take in the song-like echo while hiding behind the larger field mouse. โSilly. Not every human girl can hear us! But human girl should hear the forest. I think kodoma are telling us something but I donโt speak tree!โ โMe either.โ Kodama were spirits. Yamabiko, yokai even, which are responsible for natural phenomena in the mountains that are often heard but rarely seen. They felt the call from many miles away but sang instead about their beloved forest. These benign creatures were bound to their trees and happy to be. This unusual instance strayed the field mice of their task of scouting out Sumika. โWe should tell Ma-mi about it. Ma-mi smart. You think she could tell us what theyโre saying?โ hummed the little pink-nose. โSheโs not a tree either.โ But the cowardly pink-nose wasnโt losing hope looks upward and over the neck of the other mouse toward Sumika. โWell. Is she a tree?โโI โunno. She doesnโt have walnuts on her arms. I donโt think so. โ
A figurine, sitting discarded in the corner of the room began floating about, but Sumika felt a shift in the world before that happened. It didn't take exceptional sensory abilities to detect the ebbs and flows in the broader stream of chakra when you'd mastered multiple sage forms. Curious she popped up from her chair. A hand gently brushed the floating object, studying it carefully as it bobbed about in response. A quick motion brought forth one of her summons, the young Barnabas, even as Sumika continued her observation. "What's going on?" The rat chirped a response to the demand a moment later. "We felt it in the sage lands too, but it's much stronger here, Miss Sumika. Mistress Ink Eyes said the Yokai are coming." The puppeteer couldn't say she was terribly familiar with whatever the hell a Yokai was, but knowing the way of the shinobi world it was unlikely that it'd be a good thing.
It seemed her fellow rodent would not be making an appearance just yet, content with letting the mice chatter away. At least the rat sage got the more intelligent species, cute as they were. Besides, the little creatures would have the arrival of Cobalt to attend to, as the now slightly irritated panda emerged from a thicket of bamboo significantly less thrilled with the arrival of the Kodama disrupting his snacking. The bear's head tilted side to side a couple times as he observed the squeaking creatures among the clacking ones.

One of the other academy students of the village would wander in from the academy, carrying a bundle of scrolls from her time spent studying outside. Her tiny arms had nearly lost its grip on the mountain of paper in her hands, scrolls quivering at the top threatening to fall onto the ground. The tiny tot's feet took her up and over towards the one place where she could get her precious chakra back up after a good day of practicing her jutsu. Of course, the Academy would have probably liked her scrolls back but Yui had a pretty good track record and returning what was borrowed. It wasn't like she could hide it back home anyway with sharing a room with multiple kids. She went over by a comfortable looking rock and dumped all of her belongings there in a neat, orderly fashion. A light brown container was opened, alongside a quaint package of miniature wooden puppets to practice with.
The first jutsu that was up would be the cornerstone of Puppet users everywhere. Yui's hand was held up to the puppet, five strings divided by her fingers would latch onto the puppet as the faceless being would soon come to life. Its movement was slow and maybe a little janky due to the age and misuse this thing had probably seen. She played around with it for a moment or so before moving on to the next technique. Next on the list was something for multiple puppets, something that Yui probably wasn't a big fan of. Controlling one was already pretty difficult for her, so the concept of two felt like some sort of cruel joke that you could play on somebody. Still, she focused her efforts on both dolls nearby and implanted strings into a second one. With a swift rooster hand seal, the puppets would would vanish for a split second and reappear where the other had once been at. [ Indigo Secret Technique: Tragedy and Comedy Learned ]
With her second puppet in hand, Yui began to practice a simple pseudo summoning technique, but for her own puppets! It was as simple as just throwing out two hand seals and then focusing on which one she had wanted to summon more! Well, the girl did just that and...nothing happened. Mostly on the part of her not having saved any kind of puppet before. But she totally didn't end up trying again and again for ten minutes before that fact came upon her, nope! The inverse of summoning was sealing! or at least that's what Yui had picked up from school. She went to one of the puppets with the scroll and sealed it away with a rush of two hand seals. The third puppet now vanished into a plume of smoke, absent from its place once the fog had cleared. Although not precisely gone without a trace, Yui had at least a faint idea of how to better summon things now. She summoned the puppet out again and would continue until she was confident enough. Yui began to practice dodging with her little group of puppets here next. She began to yank them to the sides and leaning in and out, mimicking moves she had seen some of the older ninja doing when sparring. It was more like throwing a bunch of dolls around on a string but it was still good enough practice! She went for another five minutes or so before calling it a day. Ending with a flourish, Yui recalled the strings to her puppet and instead, took aim at the nearby rock facing nearby. With her index finger pointing outwards, she cast out a string towards the stone, much like any other puppet she would be controlling. Instead of acting as a normal string, this one was thicker, and likley worked reverse of what a puppet string would act like. She tugged against the strong connecting her to the rock and felt a tremendous amount of weight applied at the other end. No way she was breaking this thing! [ Grapple Hook | Rank E Learned ]

Now it was time to practice the fundamentals. Yui put her puppetry stuff into the scroll and would then go on to quickly shuffle through the scrolls. First up as one of the most used jutsu out in the field. Using a simple hand seal, Yui cleansed her mind of any genjutsu that would have been affecting it at the time. But since none were affecting it, it was just a simple feeling of refreshment. [ Kai | Rank X | Learned! ]
She went to the next technique and would take an image of the orphanage matron in her mind. With a moment to focus on her intricate details, Yui vanished in the blink of an eye. An older woman in her mid 50s would take her place, with a stern, unapproving stare. Yui took a moment to experience what it was like her be tall and would recall the technique. And now came for her favorite maruton jutsu. This jutsu only took a snake hand seal to activate as a copy of Yui would appear directly beside her. The two looked one another over for a moment before the student recalled the clone. She had no idea it would be so life like, especially with how it had been described in the scrolls. With another flick of the wrist, Yui discovered another academy level jutsu. This one was one of the substitution techniques widely known around the village world. She closed her eyes, imagining an attack sailing past her allies and directly towards her. She imagined a rock that was nearby, swapping places with the rock when she re-opened them a short duration later. She performed the technique again to return where she was originally. She grabbed a nearby piece of large cloth that was nearby and would make a seal which exported chakra into the cloth's fabric. An imagine that camouflaged almost perfectly with the background was made while Yui observed it for a moment. While it was impeccable that anybody could be fooled by it on a first glance, it probably wouldn't make for an end all disguise. Nevertheless, a good trick in her arsenal of jutsu. While not mandatory, this supplementary technique would at least make staying up late easier. Yui used the bench nearby to practice feigning that she was asleep while others watched. The faintest amount of chakra was used up to fool her body into thinking it was asleep as she was wide awake, which in turn would help her rest easier. Well this would be rather difficult without being tied hostage, although she would still be able to practice. All it took was a few shimmies of the wrist here and there. She practiced the movements stated in the scroll's face. While a few bystanders would give her rather odd looks about what she was doing, Yui paid very little attention to what they might think. Yui focused the flow of chakra to funnel down towards her feet while taking a few steps closer towards the waters below her. After one rather long fall, she came to find herself on the surface of the water, chakra forcing her legs to sit above water. Now came the light jog up. With the chakra still on her feet, the academy student would slowly lift her foot from the water and plant it firmly onto the stone face. Once both legs were there, Yui would be scaling the cliff face without too much hassle as she would able to traverse up it with very little issue. Yui had spent a pretty long time on studying for her exam that she decided to take a break. Her smaller feet picked themselves up and would roam around with each and every scroll tied up nicely into its large sack that she had taken from the academy. She had been walking for a bit before she noticed that the large riverbanks of waters in which the purified liquids ran, they had come filled with all types of containments. Leaves, insects, even various kinds of discarded human trash, such as wrappers to chip bags and crushed soda cans. The mere thought of them polluting the waters here was enough to make Yui cringe in disgust. Her eyes shot towards a nearby waystation shack with a door that would have a sign which read, "Employees Only". The academy student would scurry off towards the opening in hopes of finding...there it was! A long white net that likely would have provided the staff here with some way of keeping things tidy. She jumped over the desk and would pry it free from its slots before using it to vault herself back over and land safely on the other side. With her net in hand, Yui began the long task of roaming around the pools of Konoha's falls. Her eyes locked onto the stray plastic bag floating down the center face of the falls rapidly, bumping into the sides during its ride. Yui had to break into a sprint to keep up with it, dipping her net into the pond to scoop it out. The bag was heavy and for good reason: a fish would flop out and splash back into the waters below. It swam upstream and raced towards what was most likely his home again while Yui continued to fish other things form the stream. She worked her way from the shack towards the inner waterways, first clearing out any trash before starting on removing the natural debris by hand. Every time her net was filled to the brim with material, she hurried over towards the nearby trash can and would deposit her catches inside. It took her about an hour to finish with the first waterway and move onto the second. Time had gone by quickly once she was putting her mind to something other than just learning jutsu all day. It was hard and tiring work for her arms, but the waterways would definitely seem a lot more cleaner thanks to her timely intervention. Just as she would be about halfway done with the third stream, a shadow loomed over the girl during her work.
A swift yank to the girl's shoulder while she found herself pulled away from the edge by a larger hand. "Hey, kid! What do you think you're doing with that?" The male voice asked, Yui looking up to be greeted by a man in his late 20s with a rather disappointed look on his face. "Don't you know you're not supposed to be looting the-" He looked at what lied in the net that had been freshly dipped from the waters, with her doing the same while trying to explain herself to the bets of her nonverbal ability. Water dribbled down the pole of her net while she gazed up at the member of the staff currently belittling her. "Wait a minute, I caught an academy student breaking into our shack...to work for free?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. It was a pretty strange prospect all around. The two shared something of a quiet moment while Yui looked back at the waters and pointed to them. The man did inspect her handiwork and spun back around with his report. The overall cleanliness wasn't as apparent in some spots but certainly better than it had been. "Well, this is a first...and I can't exactly punish you for helping the village out." he mulled to himself, crossing his arms. "Great job then, but next time ask us for help or tell us about it. Can't have you students running around and getting hurt." With an eager nod, Yui handed the net back towards the village representative and the two parted ways. Yui would stop by where she had left her belongings and pack them up, slinging the bag over her shoulder before walking back down towards the village mainland.

Upon being scooped up and tossed on his shoulders, Sadayo immediately made her body ridged and blew puffs of broken syllables for words she couldn't say. She used every ounce of her energy to exert herself against gravity and grabbed two fistfuls of his hair. Meanwhile, every fiery gasp sounded a puff that were clearly curt objections featuring an incoherent threat to pull his hair out that lasted just shy of thirty-seconds. Then gave up. "I'll never make potstickers again." her eventual reply was drained, defeated, and came as she slunk over his shoulder for a time. All he had on his mind was food and not whatever expectations came of her new title. Masato was off and on about his sprightly springy trip toward the falls.
Prior to reaching their destination, at least, Sadayo had actually attempted to describe supper plans to the back of Masato's head: something regarding a grilled chicken marinated in miso, a shiso rice bowl with some assortment of flavorful, green bits, and blanched spinach in sesame sauce. "I might be feeding a small pack of hungry wolves but she hasn't made a fuss about greens yet! I'd say that's a victory!" Sadayo's exclamation almost came with a "victory kick" but following through with one could have been disastrous! Instead, she managed to clack the heels of her boots together and continued detangling one fist full of Masato's hair. " That's more than I can say about you, Mr. Carnivorous."
The falls were a sight for anyone to behold. Grand falls that spanned for miles and greenery throughout the area. The devout to Evergreen picked a lovely sight to revere the Lady. It was easy to forget Evergreen's touch on this swathe of woodland sometimes. The party would arrive to find their walk was devoid of humankind as if the police had managed to round up and redirect visitors to safer grounds. The space wasn't at all a stone's throw from the mansion but a lengthy walk where one could spy indications of offerings of thriving, flowering plants in earthen pots which have long overgrown and broken their bounds. What the party needed was sufficient space for one monumental monster in a clearing or a pool.
Meanwhile, Sadayo could only hope that finally arriving to the Falls could somehow, miraculously enable the Storm agents to forget how she was transported there: flopped over, the trio of ponytails askew and out of place, her finer clothes all a mess. Fighting him jump after the jump would have been a waste of energy.
Ultimately, she was better off waiting out the humiliating loss haunting her: the privilege she had to look like a stoic leader to important guests was suffering. The Nidaime Hokage may as well have been wild game, slain, and slung over a hunter's shoulder.
At last, she could hope that ride was over. "Put me down, please." Whether or not she dropped off when asked, Sadayo still directs her attention to Byakko then Kameyo and voices a question. "Is this space going to work? This spot is a ways off the beaten path but I wouldn't dismiss the thought for working up defenses." She eyes the greenery around then while gently fluffing and brushing her appearance back in order before fishing out one scroll from the bag at her waist. "Lead the way."

Byakko didn't bother with any small talk as he followed the crowd further into Mother's territory. Although he was not away from the group since doing so would undoubtedly peg a target on his back, he did his best to garner as much distance from the others as possible. It was explicitly clear that everyone here had an agenda for being here which wasn't the safety of the eight tails. However, since Sadayo did give her word to ensure its protection, Byakko would hold her to that. He couldn't trust Kenshin or Kameyo, as that moment passed. One raised a weapon in the church and the other came up with a nonsensical reason, at least to him who admittedly knew little of the anatomy discussed, for why she could not hold the demon within herself. Masato could have been someone he trusted, but his relationship to Sadayo left him questionable at best. Considering that he was relying on Sadayo's word he felt as though Masato's courting of her should secure him an ally in his mind. Instead, it just creates a new possibility that, should Arashi decide to backstab Byakko and they do try to kill the demon, that Masato would not allow Sadayo to be harmed, and in return they would rebuke the deal they had. These incessant thoughts scrurried in his mind like a hornet's nest, and before he knew it he had smoked nearly half his pack in order to find a moment of clarity.
The nature domain also did nothing to soothe his mood. As the party moved closer into the woods, each person would feel a different sensation from the fauna around them. Kenshin, avatar of Evergreen, would undoubtedly feel a sensation of clarity and comfort. Flowers blossomed around his feet as the woods felt warm and inviting. For Kameyo and Sadayo, those with confusion of the faith, the forest offered a sense of guidance. There was a gentle brush in the fauna which seemingly mirrored the sensation a mother would give to their confused child. Masato, the abandoned son of Evergreen, would feel nothing from the forest. It offered no call nor ushered no gestures of acceptance toward him. Its existence was felt by his innate powers, but there was a gentle undercurrent of contempt which he could divine from the location. Finally, all Byakko and his tiger from the forest was condescension. He, and only he, could feel the holy lands laugh at him as he was forced to abide by Evergreen's demands and finally be her sacrifice. Ever touch of fauna caused his skin to itch ever so slightly. His arms rubbed nervously against one another as the daunting pressure of the forest nearly screamed into his ears what kind of a failure he was. Despite this presence, Byakko forced himself to remain stoic. He refused to allow the Goddess to know that she won, and when Sadayo, who may or may not be still perched on the back of Masato, asked if this location would do, the man forced a calm persona and addressed the crowd. "Should do fine. Just remember that it's not just me with the demon. When we met it the demon was split; ying and yang. Byakko and I shared the seal, and thus we share the burden. You're going to have to do a seal connection to merge both of the pieces back into one." He said. He then laughed slightly to himself. "Apologies. Byakko's also the name of the tiger. It's a long story." He said, as he knew one would really care for it at this moment.
โฑโฐโฑKenshin felt a deep connection to the falls as he neared them. This connection felt almost ethereal to the human sage and reminded him of the first time that he became sensitive to natural energy. He focused his tenseigan sight and his mind's eye from sagedom on further attuning himself to the natural flow of the universe. It would have been a perfect moment of internal philosophical inquiry if not for the disruptions caused by Jashin's interference in this world. As a result of this focus, he thought little of Sadayo's squirming while being hauled around by Masato. It somewhat reminded him of his tendency to pick up and twirl his own beloved wife. His cheeks colored somewhat as he reminisced of his spouse who he had not seen much of in a few days. He commanded his own composure to dismiss those intense feelings to remain subuded for the task at hand. Kenshin tried to ignore Byakko's use of cigarettes as those were another temptation for his attention. The sentinel had fought in two wars and was raised in a prison and yet quitting smoking was one of the most torturous tasks of his life. He found that his intensive meditations helped him abandon the vice altogether. Kenshin walked through the forest toward the mouth of the waterfall slightly beyond the trees. When Byakko offered instructions to Kameyo and the others on the sealing instructions Kenshin quietly nodded. He would stand with Byakko and the tiger in the center of the falls. Water imbued with potent natural energy flowed around them as they stood on dry land in the center. The water's current was loud but soothing in a sense. "Let's get this over with. There's much to be done." Kenshin would allow his spirit sword, Getsuruito, to dissipate as he sank to the ground on his knees. He took a meditative and passive position to make his posture as conducive to the transfer as possible. The sentinel used his tenseigan to focus on the demon's chakra as split between the man and the tiger. He saw the corrupting influence of the bijuu's mighty chakra of Jashin's making. The sage had no interest in keeping such power for himself. If anything he saw being a jinchuuriki as a liability and that was far from productive in his role at the citadel. However, the man of conviction had a much larger vocation called unto him that went beyond his desires at the moment.

Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. Moving along, Sadayo continued to rattle off dinner details, to which Masato wasn't entirely listening to but absentmindedly nodded to as he continued to observe the group he was moving with and the chosen location. He remembered listening to the bat lady rattling on about how his mother had chosen this place or some nonsense then as they stood before the falls, declaring this the new home of their people. He hadn't actually paid any mind to it then, but now with this group of people who either followed Evergreen or had fallen from graces, he knew that she was too involved in what would come soon to ignore further.
His mind snapped to as he heard the commonplace nickname she'd given him as Mr. Carnivorous, seeing as he lived on a diet primarily of beef, pork and chicken with very little fruits and fewer greens. He nodded. " Seems that way." he said, clearly having no idea what was just said. Masato was never one to directly ignore a conversation, speaking over someone he disagreed with yes, but this behavior would be somewhat strange for Sadayo to witness. Her request to put her down was obeyed subconsciously as he remained lost in thought.
' I'm gonna have to meet with Ma' again.'
Sadayo seemed to be getting every ask she brought up, granted it was done with that strange distant demeanor. Upon mention for defenses, Masato would nod, slamming his hands into the ground and commanding his chakra to create three Rashamon doors, forming a triangle pattern surrounding the group's location, each fifty foot barrier door was staggered roughly fifty feet from one another. Masato would stand once more, bringing his index and middle fingers together on both hands and crossing them before him, the classic Kage Bushin hand sign. With this, two identical Masato would pop into existence, staggering themselves between the other two gaps he wasn't currently standing within. " This should be enough, right?" he asked plainly, each clone silently drawing chakra from Kurama's reserves to steady themselves and prepare for the potential efforts to keep the demon sealed, eyes colored red.
Kameyo's nerves made her sick, but she continued until they came to the clearing Sadayo picked out. It would work fine and everyone seemed in agreement, and even Masato had produced clones to protect the area in case Gyuki was a problem, but Kameyo was sure she could unseal and reseal quickly enough that Gyuki would not have enough time to resist.
She cocked a brow at Byakko's answer about the tiger but said nothing. She listened to his instruction and connected the split-seal before performing a routine - yet simultaneously anything but - unsealing. She had no idea what the unsealing would feel like to Byakko. Then, Gyuki manifested in the open space behind Byakko and Kameyo didn't spare a moment to even look up and see just how tall a bijuu was in person. Tendrils slipped from a few of her stitches as she focused completely on sealing the demon, kanji wrapping around its limbs in the blink of an eye before she clasped a hand on Kenshin's shoulder, sealing kanji spilling out from her palm before they glowed.
She held her breath. Gyuki seemed to disappear behind her, and she took a step back as if daring the seal to break upon Kenshin. When it didn't, she exhaled the breath she'd been holding and still felt the threat of bile. She shook her head in defiance of the urge. "Okay, okay, not so bad, huh?" She moved her head towards Masato, inclining her head with gratitude at the protection he'd offered with his clones. Turning back to Kenshin, she waited to see if there would be an adverse effects for her to treat. A demon was like an invasion of mind and body and she couldn't imagine it'd be easy to take it, but Kenshin certainly had the fortitude for something like this.
