He'd only just stumbled back to where he'd been prior to being crushed by a gigantic ship before Scamander ran into Pendour again - almost literally. He hastily retreated a step to avoid knocking into her, but gave her a friendly smile and said, "Oh, hello - glad to see you're all right. And, well," he made a flapping gesture with his hand. "It's fine, no harm done."
Mostly. His eyebrows rose at the mention of the rabbit.
"Well, at least it wasn't worse," he said with a laugh. "But I don' need a wish granted for tryin' to make sure you weren't stomped on. I'm game to get out of here too, if you're all right with that - should we just pick a place and go? I'll follow."

Aurostibite had looked away for five seconds while attempting not to strangle Kainite, and now Kainite was rolling around laughing again, Hydrus had been crushed by a giant ship, and Mintaka was...a skeleton.
Needless to say, this was not a very good start to his day.
"Hydrus!" Aurostibite shouted, but it was too late. The other man had already disappeared, and a few minutes later, the ship dissipated as well, leaving behind a wreck of chaos and confusion. He made a half strangled sound in the back of his throat, his arm still around Kainite's neck, and then looked back at his wife.
She sounded immensely distressed. Auro reached out a placating hand and touched her wrist. It felt very...bony.
"It's all right," he said soothingly. "We'll figure it out - it's okay - "
It was possible he should probably let go of Kainite by now.
Mauvian Wendell - [ exiting to sky bottle ] INVENTORY: x2 health potions (+10 HP)
He'd found another bottle, this one containing the same potion as the previous. Wendell tucked them into the bandanna around his neck and then darted off into the nearest exit he could find.

Death had sucked, but eventually he found his way back into the first bottle they had all been sucked into. He was extra careful not to get too close to any of the bottles floating around. After what had happened with Lacerta, he didn't exactly want to trust any of them. It was like playing Russian roulette, never worth the risk.
Relectucantly he made his way back toward the trial bottle where he had been before. It wouldn't be as bad this time, he knew what to expect. He took a deep breathe before stepping close enough to let it pull him in.

Lieutenant Aventurine is ENTERING
He had returned to where he'd been before, irritation bubbling beneath a carefully schooled expression. Eyes darted this way and that, looking for any of the people he knew. He had seen Sweetite be crushed beneath the hull of the ship, but he had not seen her in what he presumed was the afterlife in the dimension.
The afterlife that didn't stick.
He shook his head, focusing on his tasks ahead. The gravestone mocked him and he'd merely prove it wrong.
As he moved, he caught sight of a girl who looked like the picture he'd been shown. He reached for her arm. "Sweetite," he snapped, his grip harsher than it should have been. "General Zircon is in the sky bottle."
Last he knew.
"Come on," he barked, releasing her when he reached for a bottle, hearing the sound of rushing air like last time.
He reached for it and disappeared.

All right? Was she all right? She was used to bits and pieces of magic now, but not like this, not like this place where basic rules of life and death did not apply. Although, at least it was a little forgiving on that part.
“Right,” she said, voice soft. “at least it wasn’t worse.” That was usually a good way to look at things. “At least it isn’t worse.” Maybe she didn’t have wishes to grant, but she had a chance to make things right.
She eyed the bottles for a moment, run her fingers over her hair. “Okay,” she said, and nodded once, twice. She walked over to the closest bottle, the one that made her wrinkle her nose with how strange and musty it smelled, but she liked that at least it was honest about being unpleasant. She touched it, and was whisked away.

Malaise
You're no bird, why did it feel as though everything had some deep layer of meaning to it? Or perhaps that was just his way, a literary mind digging for something deeper that may not be - it didn't really matter, he knew. Intent was important, true, but outside perception could lend new and riveting levels to something quite simple. "Very well, then - lead the way."
Kainite wouldn't have really minded his general's arm wrapped around his neck like the bros that they clearly were... if it wasn't for the way he was tightening it, and with all the laughing and now being squeezed at just the right angle, he was actually kind of going a little purple in the face. The laughing was more like a wheeze than anything, and as much as he adored his boss/best friend, he did actually have a fondness for air.
So when another bottle came close enough, kind of desperately, he grabbed it, smashed it --

It was easier to get lost in her thoughts when everything else was shrouded in mystery. It seemed they had stumbled upon something's domain, and now they had to deal with its trials to get out. A movie come to life. But, what of the prize? Just their lives? Or was there something else to be gained by this strange overseer?
Loreley didn't know. When did she? But the only way to dispel the unknown was to traverse it. Thus did she approach the Bottle Sea, lured by the sounds of the waves as a siren call. Were it to lead her off the cliffs to join them, well, it might have been fitting.
Staying out of the way, for the most part, Nix found another bottle close by, and grabbed it. After only a brief hesitation, he popped it open, only to find a swirling mist float out. "Woah, what's this...?" he gasped, and...his hand disappeared! Pretty soon, the rest of him followed. He tested that he could still feel things. "Huh. Neat."
Still. Wouldn't do to dally here any longer...
Nope. Better get a move on. Beat some trials! Kick some butt! He approached one of the bottles, and rather quickly found himself getting sucked on in once again! "Here we goooo~"

[Corrupt Mab ENTERING]
Coming from the Graveyard, Mab looked much better than many of the others only because she had taken time to groom her person before returning. She was also utterly done with this trash-fire of a place, and so upon re-entering the hub grabbed the first bottle that she saw and yanked it open.
After some Escher-esque shenanigans, she was rewarded by pulling a bottle out of the first bottle and found an attack potion, which she promptly tucked away. Someone was going to have a really bad time of it. If she didn't find some better person to use it against, it might go down Versaille's ugly Edwardian pants just for kicks. Wouldn't that be entertaining. I wonder if he'd do the Can-can....
"What, no giant white whale to go with our falling ship? Where's Captain ******** Ahab?" Perfectly painted nails tapped against the sharp curve of her cheek as she surveyed the mess that was the central dimension - what the hell was this even?

She shuddered, and gave his ear a quick rub, hoping it would calm her friend some. "I don't want to do that again, though. It hurt, and then I was in a grave, and it's creepy, so creepy." She was controlling the urge to do some crying, herself, but one tear did leak down, because this was stressful and upsetting and her friend was crying too. The tear made a track in the smudge of dirt still on her cheek.
She bit her lip, thinking about his comment, and then nodded. "Yeah, let's see if we can help fix this situation. Want to go explore one of the bottles?" She gestured vaguely towards the Sky Bottle, since it seemed to be the closest. "Might be the fastest way to get out of this ridiculous place."

[ Giza - Entering ]
It wasn't space. Giza had noted that fairly quickly after their arrival, but there was no denying a visual similarity on cursory surveying. But what he'd taken for stars were bottles counting in the thousands. Suspended by glittering threads that caught the sparse light, but where they anchored he could tell. Nowhere, or nothing. Here, in this strange place, he was willing to believe it.
Pavo's gentle squeeze of his fingers drew his attention down to her, and he answered that searching look with a soft smile, reassuring. This place was a mystery, and they were very clearly trapped there until they had managed to complete the tasked laid out by the disembodied voice that'd floated over them when they'd appeared there, but they wouldn't have to proceed on this unknown journey alone. Where she led he would follow, trusting in her wisdom and experience to help guide there steps, and for his part, he offered protection against those that might harm them.
Or hopeful protection, he amended. Who knew what they faced here.
"I don't see as we have any other choice than that," he agreed, lifting his gaze to look past her. This place was filled with conflicting auras; chaotic and order. They flicked and flitted around like static, in and out of existence as their owners slipped in and out of the trial dubbed bottles.
And then, as Pavo was urging them forward, numerous beacons extinguished as something large fell from the sky. Giza didn't see what, not as he was drawn along, but there'd been a crash and a sound like shattering wood before they were disappearing from this plain and appear in the familiarity of a desert.
He nodded, sniffing hard as he took off his glasses to wipe his eyes on his sleeve. As he did and put his glasses back, he saw the smudges of dirt on her face. Reaching over, he used his jacket sleeve to wipe away at her eyes and cheeks.
"Yeah. Let's get out of here. I want us to get these trials done and go home." He said, pausing only to pluck another bottle that floated next to him.
Slowly getting up, he held his hands out for her to take to help lift her up. "Next time a ship falls, let me push you okay?"
