As they entered the cave entrance Tatsuki was corrected by Charlotte about who she was. Tatsuki gave a apologetic nod, "Forgive my assumption, you two just seem close is all." With that Tatsuki left it alone, it seemed to her it was a sensitive subject that she didnt want to bring up any further. Focusing instead on the main objective Tatsuki looked around until she saw a tiny little candle flame, the only other light besides the cave entrance. She stopped herself from going towards it like a moth as she listened to what Finn had to say about there surroundings. A... Radar? Tatsuki looked around to see if there was anything visual for her to see to go with Finn's statement. However after a few minutes of searching she herself could not notice anything. As tatsuki allowed Finn to cut in front of her. Tatsuki could barely make out that he was trying to sense what the wall had before he stated there was something dangerous down there. Tatsuki looked at him for a moment before looking toward the flame in front of them. she looked around for any obvious traps before taking out her short sword she had on her right hip. With a swift movement she tried her best to throw the sword right next to the flame to see if there where any hidden traps over there. If there was some sort of line or movement traps she would hope that this throw would expose it.

______________The Narrator Snarls...| tab The girl snorted out a loud guffaw at Kagerou's response unfortunately too quickly for her to cover her mouth in time to mask it. Looking not the least bit embarassed she looked instead to the male at her side with a feral grin. "Ya know, darlin, this sounds interestin," she purred as she leaned onto him, arching her spin in a languid, feline maneuver to stretch out her body. Continuing to lean on him with her hands clasped together on his shoulder, her chin daintily resting upon them, she eyed Kagerou with a mix of amusement and judgment. "Alright, then. I've never been teased by a ghost before, this could be promising.~" tab The male spoke up for the first time, placing one hand on his hip while the other snaked around the girl's shoulders with a serpent's grace. His voice was a rich tenor as he responded to Sundance with a spark of mischief in his gaze. "I'm difficult to impress, though your ghostly charm has it's perks," he began, his tone sultry and just a tad bit excited. "Come, then. Use us as your test. I am as eager to see the results as you are."
______________The Narrator Snarls...| tab The blade passed through the flame without seeming to disturb it in the least, clanging to the earth on the other side with a resounding clang that clearly carried to Takeda within. The shadows failed to move in response to the new matter in the path of the light, giving credibility to the belief that something was quite wrong. tab To Finn's eyes the clang let out another pulse of mana, a wave of vision that echoed within the chamber and out into the caverns and city beyond. He saw the people, the tower, and below the dungeon in its entirety. It was large, very large, though the scope would likely be lost as something within the chamber shifted. Mana would well within the walls as a thunderous cracking of stone splintering unleashing a clangorous racket within the confined space. The stone changed color, becoming a dark, vibrant indigo that was completely at odds with the brown earth around it. It spread into the shape of a great snake, wrapping twice around the perimeter of the cave with ease. Twin orbs of emerald mana opened where eyes would normally have appeared on a serpent, and given it's immediate proximity to Charlotte this might cause some level of distress for the boy. tab As for Charlotte her head was turned towards where Finn had been inspecting, her trained eyes picking out differences in shadow from her history in stone work and mining. Back to the shadow, her attention solely on the whole where she had assumed the sound was coming from, she couldn't know that a stone serpent was rising behind her from above raising steel fangs, ready to bite down upon her. tab As for the flames themselves and the book, as the cracking commenced Tatsuki would witness words spreading themselves out through the book's pages, where once she would have sworn it was closed. Something was written there, something in fine script, something that she would only see if she leaned in close enough to read it from about a foot away: "Begone!"
「XXXX A clang from behind him snapped Finn's attention back to the room, although he paused in his turn as he caught sight of the ripple of mana that seemed to pass through the city from the sound. In his moment of panic, he almost brushed the ceiling, but remembered the webs as they came into view once more as well. However, his gaze remained fixed on the ground even after the mana pulse faded. "This place is... huge," he said barely above a whisper. And then something changed in the cave in which they stood. The walls seemed to fill with mana, and then somehow change, and move. The movement caught his attention from the corner of his eye, and he turned to see a serpentine shape loom over Charlotte, fangs bared to strike, and for the length of a heartbeat he could do nothing but stare in horror.
And then something inside of him snapped. That was the last thing he remembered.
Finn's form was engulfed in darkness as his body began to change shape. Another heartbeat passed and the darkness flung itself forward, past Charlotte, to strike the mana apparition that threatened his companion with outstretched claws. What had been Finn not a moment before took on the shape of a wolf--a massive one at that--, its fur writhing and dancing with shadows and what looked like exposed bone where its face would be. Round orbs of light took up residence as eyes, and similarly white light trickled from said orbs. Should the apparition not dissipate upon the wolf striking it, it would turn with the intention to attack it again and again until the thing was gone. XXXX」

___________________The Narrator Wakens...|| tab The lady with the strange fangs gave a weird look to the girl as she cast her eyes about the marketplace, only returning to her a moment later as if realization was dawning upon her. Sizing her up from the bottom of her boots to the top of her head the girl's friendly smile turned sad. "Ah," she began with a tone that matched her expression. "You've just woken, have you?" Sighing she gestured behind her stall, where the ears of a fox were poking up from behind the wood with the tips twitching slightly from side to side. A quick look from the Aryan girl would show her a young woman, slumbering, with the white fur and ears of an arctic fox attached to her body where it shouldn't be. Perhaps she would notice, too, the complete lack of human ears. The fanged woman crossed her arms to explain. "Like her you've just awoken to this world, I'm sure, but given your garb...you're not from an Era I recognize either." She turned back and gestured back to the girl again before meeting her eyes. "You're neither underdressed nor overdressed here, my young friend. Here we celebrate all life every day, for that we breathe is a miracle in and of itself. Still, I imagine this all confusing. How about you take a seat and we talk about it?" tab At this she gestured to a stool to her side, her expression not changing from one of sadness, though it did take on a tinge of warmth and softness.

First, Sundance got a wide-eyed stare as his outburst caught Kagerou off guard. Then the stranger girl got a raised eyebrow as pieces of her animosity slipped through her voice. Finally, just a look at the red haired fellow the girl leaned on. Kagerou half expected to see a similar expression of disdain and judgement, but he seemed completely absorbed in the activities at hand.
It was amusing. She didn't know how they got to where they did, but that didn't stop it from being amusing. "Somehow," it felt like to Kagerou, "I've become public enemy #1 in this group?". Not to mention, she no longer felt comfortable competing in this competition. She sighed, with a smile, at the difficulties this could cause, eyelids lowering until they were almost closed. She couldn't even apologize to Sundance with the way this conversation was going.
"Hmmm," she hummed in thought, the lighthearted noise rising and falling in tone like a snippet of a melody. She held her hands before her face, fingers outstretched and touching their opposite partner, with the pair of index fingers resting on her closed lips. After a moment, she made her decision. It wasn't the nicest choice, she had to admit, but no one would get hurt, either. Besides, it appeared that Sundance was really hitting it off with this pair. She wanted to help him a little bit, if only for the very short time they had spent together.
Bringing her hands down to clasp them behind her back, Kagerou nodded, her long green hair swinging with the motion. The red-eyed child agreed, "Fine then, I accept Sundance's challenge." She side eyed Sundance as she took a few few steps backs. "Gentlemen first," she insisted as she flicked her head from Sundance to the duo.
Tatsuki would watch in not horror, but interest as the walls around her transformed into a indigo serpent before her and her party. The emerald eyes seem to pierce right through the dark to her. Tatsuki merely scowled as she thought, "What a bother... I didn't mean to set a trap off like this yet here we are!" With that in mind Tatsuki grabbed into her backpack and with a swift motion brought out what looked like a collapsible Long bow. as soon as the bow was formed she stepped back a few paces and reached for one of the arrows in her pack. Upon doing so a mass of shadow and white light jumped up from behind her. Her eyes finally wide in terror at this wolf like creature tatsuki fumbled the arrow and had to retrieve it.
This took tatsuki a few moments before kneeling and getting herself into a position to launch the arrow. Tatsuki trained her line of sight at first to the wolf but then thought about it before and turned her attention to the serpent with emerald eyes. Firing off a arrow towards the serpents head she would hope it would hit its mark or at least hit its body to inflict some form of damage. This led to Tatsuki grabbing another of her remaining nine arrows to draw and hold wondering to herself whether she should fire on the wolf

______________The Narrator Snarls...| tab The serpent screamed in a voice that rocked the tunnel, shaking loose dirt and debris that showered down over the trio in earnest. The arrow struck true but lodged itself in the stone of its body, sending cracks spidering out around the impact sight with obvious damage to the structural integrity of that segment. The claws of the nightmare beast, however, did more damage than perhaps either would have anticipated as the claws carved through the stone in great slashes, causing incredibly damage from the impacts that forced the snake to recoil in pain. Glowing runes burned across its surface, building from its base and racing across the body until it opened its jaws and emeral light spilled out, taking the shape of a prismatic beam that launched towards the wolf. tab A shield of steel blocked its way, a mass of metal flakes so dense the light failed to pierce it. It held, Charlotte screaming from the pain as the mana surged into her spell from her inner reservoirs. The light finally faded, the attack absorbed as she dropped to one knee from the overexertion. Her eyes went to the wolf, whom she watched change, with an expression filled with fear and steeled control. She knew it was him, somehow, but she could only hope he retained his sanity. "Kill the b*****d, Finn!" she cried, not a small bit of desperation in her voice. tab Above the stones groaned from the weight of being shifted by the serpent, threatening to come down any moment.
[Sorry it's so short. There's not a whole lot more I can do atm. ; u ;]
「XXXX If the wolf was aware of the snake's retaliation, it made no move to avoid getting blown away by the beam of light it emitted. Instead the beast was single-minded in its effort to destroy the threat presented in front of it, the snake that threatened its charge. Only Charlotte's shield saved it from what would have probably been a painful end, given the scream that came from her. Bristling in rage, the wolf lashed out harder, swiping again and again at the snakes face before lunging forward and attempting to latch onto one of the creature's emerald eyes seemingly in response to Charlotte's encouragement. Focused on its task, the wolf remained unaware of the cave's impending collapse. XXXX」

A shocked expression came from Tatsuki as charolette yelled at the wolf to kill the b*****d. What surprised her as that Charlotte recognized the wolf as Finn. Tatsuki merely looked at the both of them for a moment before yelling, "NO WAY! that creepy wolf is Finn!?!?" This moment of shock was interrupted by the sudden shifting of the earth and what seemed to be the possibility of collapse. Trying to think of what she could do with her limited experience Tatsuki thought of only one option. Taking a long pause and a short breath Tatsuki went into her mind to shut off the pain receptors that would obviously come with what she was about to do.
Finally she was ready, pain offline, mana consumption readied, now all it means... is to not ******** up. "Okay here goes... Bone pillars!" With a major drain of her Mana Tatsuki began to pull, lengthen, and enlarge as many bones in her body to quickly go through the ground two create sickly blood soaked pillars along the walls and a few more to help support the ceiling above. By the time Tatsuki was done with her part she had created a whole elephants worth of flexible bone thick and tall enough to support the tunnel. from crashing down upon them.
With a tired gasp she pulled back behind Charolette and started to breathe deeply. the loss of mana inside her to create the pillars taking its toll. The pain however non existent as it was turned off by her for now. She knew that once she turned the pain back on she would most certainly feel it. Looking to Charlotte Tatsuki screamed, "I've only bought...*pant* a little time *pant*... go in and stop the thing...*pant* before the pillars break from the shifting earth!"
There felt a bit of hesitation from his partner but given enough poking and prodding from the ole Sunny charm and Kageoru cracked just he knew she would. Sundance couldn’t help but grin like a man on the edge. “Well thank you my dear! I promise you won’t regret it~ Just give that love a chance to flooooooow.” Imitating an ocean wave with his hand, Sundance let the movement carry him right into his first plan of attack. Being in the limelight was hardly a problem for the born performer, which left the monkey more than happy to take the lead! Rising his pinkie like some kind of noble getting ready to address the common folk he… he stopped short. The first time in a long time when his mouth didn’t just start running off without thinking.
It wasn’t that he didn’t know how to proceed oh no, Sundance had a million and one pick up lines ready to shoot off like a squirt gun at a… well you didn’t wanna know where at. But none of them made him feel like he could beat Kageoru, at least not in the way that he wanted. They didn't SHOW her what he wanted. So then that only begged the question, what was the best way to show he really was the god of love? Taking a deep breath in, Sundance straighten out any kinks in his posture. The change in personality was immediate and left Sunny an almost entirely different person. No more leering from behind his sunglasses, no inappropriate touching or invading body spaces, just a nice normal smile. His voice rolled off the tongue as a soft musical, hitting all the same notes as that one would find at home in a slow dance. He started out talking with the girl first but made sure to give equal attention to the male whenever their eyes met. “Ah, I’m sorry for the heat. I should have been more considerate before stopping you under this sun. If you don’t mind the trouble I caused you, then perhaps we could get to know each other better under some cooler shade and drinks in our hand~ Ahh you’ll have to forgive me again however, but I don’t think I caught either your names?”
Throughout his entire performance Sundance did his best to mimic what body language that he could, though he found the woman's feline-esque posture harder to replicate, leaving him to substitute for what subtle movements that exaggerated his own body. Even Sunny’s eyes followed suit, only making eye contact when they could and looking away when they couldn’t. All in all, it was the most serious he had taken something in a very long while. Hopefully he was up to par.

______________The Narrator Snarls...| tab Charlotte couldn't stop the girl as she began to grow bone through her muscle and flesh, spilling blood onto the earth as Finn, a massive canine and likely carnivore, tore into the snake that so threatened them. The bones did their work, however, slamming into the ceiling and holding it in place if only for a few minutes longer. Leaving the snake to Finn for the moment she reached into her pocket and grabbed...something, bringing it out as she spoke words of power and threw what she'd grabbed into the air: iron sand. With a cry she unleashed a wave of the material in a cloud to wrap around the bones, reinforcing them with steel and making them rigid as steel beams. tab As her back was turned, however, the snake fought with the enraged Finn with a desperation a construct could never display. The teeth sank true, and as it pulled back to retreat from the sudden assault it would leave behind the gemstone eye, along with a trail of thick black goop that spread form the eye to the gaping hole in its face. To Finn's eyes the black would have a hazy purple aura around it, as if a gas, and worse the gemstone tasted soul, as if made of rotted meat. The scent of something acrid and acidic would reach his nostrils, something that, oddly, would bring on a desire to consume the 'gas'. While the gem was terrible, the strange scent instead smelled delicious to the poor creature. tab Charlotte turned at the sound of liquid pouring from the wound and swore loudly before holding aloft her blade. "Don't touch the black, Finn!" she exclaimed with command in her voice. "It's poison! Drive it out through the exit, force it away!" tab Behind it the rumblings and movements had cast the makeshift blockade away, spilling in light from outside just enough to outline where the exit to this strange place must be.
______________The Narrator Snarls...| tab The change in demeanor caught both of them off guard, so much so that they exchanged confused looks before standing straighter and clearly taking this more seriously than they had previously. This was likely do in no small part with the joking being put aside in favor of more actual flirting. What was once a joke they now understood was anything but. tab This was a competition. tab Taking a deep breath the woman grinned, revealing a pair of razor sharp fangs for a moment before she closed her mouth and reopened them, revealing normal teeth. "I be Beranyain, and this be my Lesser, Frank," she began, gesturing to "Frank" who chortled as he gazed at her with love. The expression was returned with some level of the same, though there was a curiosity in her eyes as she took in the pair. Hearing Sundance's words she gestured over her shoulder with a toss of her head, still managing to keep her eyes on both as she did so. "There's a small social area fer drinkin' back 'ere. We could sit there, out o' sight o' this dreaded light, an' get ter know ea' chother better." Smiling at Kagerou, she continued. "Ah'd be intrested ter see how ye both do, if'n this be yer attitude, darlin'."
「XXXX The eye was dropped immediately from the foul taste of it, the wolf shaking its head vigorously as it tried to get the taste from its mouth. As it did white light not unlike that which fell from its eyes splattered like saliva, although the drops dissipated before they actually hit anything. The scent of blood from Tatsuki caught its attention briefly, but the overwhelmingly desirable scent that the strange goop released. Somewhere in the far reaches of Finn's mind Charlotte's words were heard, and understood, but he had no control of the creature he'd become.
Still, some small bid of sense must have made its way through, because the wolf turned itself away rather forcefully, picking up the disgusting eye once more, and bolted for the exit. Due to its size, the hole they'd originally come through was too small, so it simply crashed headlong into boards and made it a bigger one, releasing the creature and hopefully the snake into the market beyond. Once out in the open, assuming the thing followed it, the wolf launched itself back at the snake, latching onto whatever part of its head it could manage--although the goal was the throat. Despite the snake being made of stone, in the wolf's instinct-driven mind that was the best course of action to try to kill it. XXXX」

As Tatsuki backed up into what was once the exit she slowly began to recuperate from her en-mass bone creation technique and looked towards the battle. Tatsuki's eyes widened a bit as she saw her former bone pillars being used to make the foundation for steel ones. As she looked over to Charloette she was about to give a compliment before she noticed the Fin-wolf was charging towards her. Not wanting to become lunch for Fin's wolf form She barely moved out of the way for the furry thing to punch a bigger hole into the entrance of the cave to the outside of the market.
When she poked her head out, in a rather comical fashion much like a gopher sticking its head out of a hole it had dug, Tatsuki blinded herself in trying to see what this Fin-wolf looked like. All she got was a face full of stone and blinding sunlight. Even with them being in the cave entrance for such a small time frame it was hard on the eyes to suddenly have so much light fill in the retina's. Turning her head to face Charolette Tatsuki reached for her bag and threw it to her direction as she said, "Look for somethin that might help, I dont have much but I hope there is something in there for yea" If Charolette picked the satchel up she would find some flint and steel for starting a fire, whetstone, rope, and a peculiar object. Silver in color it was shaped like a wolf's head and seemed to emit a soft glow when hit by the sunlight.
