As the arm was rejected Kira wasnt to opposed to that, though he did smile in his mask as he saw the small kid like reaction almost everyone tends to have when they go out into the cold, breathing clouds of fog. To Kira personally they remind kira of the smoke from fire breathing dragons, making him feel like one during the winter. breathing a cloud of fog himself he said, "I quite like the cold... in the heat you can only take off so much but in the cold you can eat warm foods, stay close to people friends and loved ones, and pile on all the clothes and armor you like to stave off the amount of cold you can take" With that Kira would follow Karin as she talked about the true population of the city being around a hundred. Such a small number came from those who built the town and those from the crystals who decided to stay after there awakening. Kira started to feel... was it luck? Pride? It was some emotion along those lines that made Kira think he might have made the right choice to make this place his 'home'.
As they entered what looked like a Inn to Kira, 'The Silver Lyre' he saw the quaint looking tables and bar being used today. Catching his attention was a young lad about his age or less with blonde hair and black eyes. Kira tilted his head as he approached the bar. As Karin approached sat at the bar and looked at the bartender, 'Yuzuki' and gave him a nod when it felt like a introduction was in order, "I'm Kira...Hi..." Pretty much first impressions arn't well recieved with Kira. He felt like staying quiet this time and letting Karin take the lead for the most part would be the wisest idea. especially sense most of the time it seemed like he ended up making people pissed off at him.

tabHe didn't realize it now but the alcohol was begging to settle into his body now. The coloration of his face felt the soft brush of pink the intoxication, a moment of impeccable timing as it came just as Iiliya teased at his loss of composure. Had he been in his normal self, Aric might have allowed the jest to push him deeper into his inward seclusion, but this was his moment to speak free of the chains that bind his tongue! But first a little more of that liquid courage.. reaching for another swig of his drink, the stragari chuckled into his mug before slamming it back down again.
Not that he would elaborate on it, but the giant found it amusing just how well she would have fit in at his homeland. "Now you're starting to sound like my father. I swear the man operated on nothing but instincts. Taught me to do the same, though I suspect I have yet to master the art." His thoughts blinded by the nostalgia now let the words flow without care. "I do miss it there. Everything had a sense of purpose, you were given a clear objective and the means to do it. If you had time to think then you had time to work. Work and benefit the clan, that was your life. I remember most often how I was told to delve into the mountain for ore to shape for weapons. I was the most suitable due to my fire resistant nature you see, and at the end of every day we'd all come together into the great hall to eat together the food that the woman cooked for the clan." He would of course wouldn't realize it at the time, but Aric had perhaps painted himself in a rather negative, or at least traditionalist, manner when it came to the opposite sex.
Bright, unknowing eyes, snapped out of their glazey stupor to meet with Iiliya's own. "But." He paused before continuing. "Listening to me drone on of my childhood is probably straining that 'interesting' complement from earlier. I want to know about this lovely woman in front of me. Would you.. perchance be interested in playing a game with me?" More than anything it was a game of tug of war, playful but rough. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Aric that Iiliya had been reserved with herself. He wanted to free her the same as he had been, but sensed that it would take more than just a simple drink. Prying solemnly resulted in anything good, but maybe he could replace it with a give and take.
Karin's smile faded a bit at your lack of a response, but it didn't faze the barkeep. "Well, welcome to Ikeinasu, Kira." He turned away for a moment to clean another part of the bar. "What can we get you guys? Choices are a bit slim, but there's a few options. Pretty much anything with potatoes, beets, and a variety of meats. As for drinks, well, there's water." He laughed dryly at that.
The red-head spoke up again. "You've usually got some sort of stew going. I'll have a bowl of that." She glanced at you and her grin returned as she jerked a thumb in your direction. "He'll have one, too."
The boy nodded. "Coming right up!" Flashing another smile, he disappeared into the kitchen.

Kira watched as Karin ordered some stew for the both of them, As he turned his head he only caught it for a moment but he saw a faded smile before returning the one she had on earlier. Kira wondered why her smile had faded just for a moment he had guesses but he wasn't going to assume on the spot. As Yuzuki left to go put the order in Kira turned to her and said,"... I'm trying to not have people hate me. I have a tendency to speak and people getting annoyed with me, call it a very old habit..." with that Kira went to get and pulled out his coin satchel and placed it on the counter for the meal. Call it a mental tick but he would rather have the meal paid for up front than to leave it to chance and skip out.
When that was taken care of Kira turned back to Karin and asked, "Karin, I... I told the doc this when I was at the hospital, but this is probably the first place thats felt like home... Not even the village of the mist felt like home and i grew up there... I spent so much time distancing myself from my own village I forget how to..connect to people..."
Karin listened quietly, her gaze traversing the small supply of drinks behind the bar. That they'd managed to get any amount was pretty impressive, but very expensive. She looked toward you as you finished. "I've noticed a lot of the Wakeners face a similar issue. They either didn't fit in where they lived, or were loyal to the death. But I suppose that's the way with you warrior types." She flashed another grin. "I'm glad you could find a home here, though. It's our little oasis in a frozen and dangerous desert."
Yuzuki returned with two bowls of steaming stew, placing one in front of you and the other in front of Karin. He turned away and grabbed two mugs, filling them up with water from a barrel. These he likewise placed on the bar.
Quite happily, the red head focused on eating her food.

When Yuzuki returned with the bowls of stew, hot from being cooked, Kira bowed his head a little and said, Thank you...Yuzuki? itadakimasu.." With that said Kira pulled down his mask to reveal his scarred face and quickly delved into the stew and found it homely, granted he didn't pay much to the flavor even though he could taste it but he more so let the stew sink into his spirit letting it soothe him in the fact that this was the first real in such a long time for him to enjoy. So many emotions welled up inside his chest that he couldn't help but bring forth a small tear, small enough to just coat his eye
Rubbing his eye a bit he continued diving into the stew with vigour, savoring every bite as he did so. He turned to Karin who was also eating the stew happily and to kira that made Kira feel that spending his last ryo would be worth it. Soon however, and to his dismay, Kira finished his bowl of stew. Clapping his hands softly so that only the closest people could hear it Kira than said to Yuzuki "The food was homely, I thank you again" With that Kira waited a moment for Karin to finish her bowl before checking out or paying for another bowl for her. Kira did think of buying another bowl for him depending on the price after this first round though
As she made her way, she was slowly becoming more terrified but no. She wasn't going to show it! After all, the only way to defeat fear was to face it yourself! As she made it into the inn, a sigh of relief escaped between her lips as she was finally somewhere nice and warm. It was then that she had remembered she had Shea's shawl. With a surprised squawk, she turned to go find him but then paused. She didn't know where he was. All he did was point to the way back but was he really going back? Hmm. Perhaps they can meet again. With a self-assured nod, Lorelei turned back and knocked on the wood of the bar to get someone attention. Then the man came out, she waved and then froze. Wait. What was she supposed to say? She tried to remember Shea's words.
"Meal! Uh. Work.. no. Ah! Woke up." Lorelei then winced, was she going to get in trouble for asking for a meal? She didn't know all the details! But the man seemed to understand and asked her what she wanted. He listed off what they have and she understood it all! With a rather loud shout, "ALL. THEM. THEM ALL." The man was surprised at the girl's shout and demanding for all. He went back into the kitchen as he figured just to give her a bit of everything to keep the female satisfied.
With a content smile, she turned and saw two people sitting at a table. Both of them had red hair. That was a rarity! Though she didn't want to impose on them. Slowly, the panic was started to rise in her. She was alone. In a world, she doesn't understand. Well, the next thing she could do was to eat and then figure it out. Not like she had much of a choice anyways.

Karin refused the second bowl and watched in silence as someone new entered the tavern and, through a strange language barrier, sounded like she'd ordered everything on the menu. The red-head watched the barkeep hurry back into the kitchen. "He'll probably just bring her one dish," Karin said softly, just for Kira to hear. "We don't have the food to spare for someone to order everything on the menu. Same goes for you ordering seconds. That's not so bad, but try to be a little mindful. This community has only existed for about three months." She rested her elbow on the table and her head on her hand. "And the only real reason for that is the kid with the gift to grow plants. Ah, what was his name again...?" She shook her head. "Regardless, we're lucky for what we have."
Turning her gaze away, she looked toward the newcomer, gesturing for Lorelei to approach. "You look a little lost. Come have a seat." She grinned. "Food'll be just a few."
As Kira was about to ask Karin if she wanted seconds a loud noise from the front came that drew his attention. Kira's instincts immediately went to grab his sword but he then felt air and remembered he left it at Karin's forge. Struggling to keep himself calm over the fact Kira brought his face mask to at least try and cover his discomfort. It was then the loud woman spoke and it was.. very strange indeed. Not that Kira was one to talk he came from a secluded village from the past but he at least knew the trade language most often spoken. Upon hearing the words 'Woke up' he knew exactly what was going on. This strange girl had just emerged from one of the crystals, probably around town or somewhere close perhaps? In any case his discomfort turned to pity when he realized this and was able to calm down. However he didn't manage too get a single glass of water in before the strange woman yelled ALL THEM. A classic spit take occured and Kira turned his head slightly only to catch the gaze of the teal hair woman looking at him and Karin.
When the barkeep went to the back Karin pulled his attention back. As she talked about the shortage of food, it donned on Kira that this world, his world, and probably this towns whole world, was so new that supplies are scarce. He had thought about ordering seconds but getting slapped with the reality belt once more Kira decided agaisnt it besides... It was mostly a formality at this point for him to enjoy. Kira looked back up as he saw Karin invite the new woman to where they were sitting. Not that Kira minded but he wondered if the woman could enough understand them enough to keep up a conversation.
Kira looked at Karin and smiled softly at the fact that this was her as a person and not just to any customer like himself. Kira looked over and said, "Yeah come on up... Dont worry about paying I'll do my best to cover for it" The last bit was not for a good impression but more repaying kindness with kindness. That and maybe with this he could start to 'Trust' and "Be Friendly' to people instead of being that normal a*****e he usually was on missions or just.. how he was coming out of that damn crystal.

When the girl neither responded nor moved, Karin flashed one last grin to show the offer was still there if she decided to join them. As if on cue, Yuzuki reemerged from the kitchen, carrying a platter of food. Not everything on the menu as requested but still a good portion of a few selections. He placed it in front of the empty stool beside Kira.
Karin turned her attention back to Kira. "So," she said, leaning on her hand again, "tell me about yourself. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking."
Kira turned his attention to Karin when the mysterious teal haired girl seemed to either ignore or not able to understand what they where saying. Kira sighed a little and wondered if it was him trying to be nice now that was being offensive, there where plenty of people who he used to know that saw offerings of others as a slap in the face for one reason or another. But Kira's attention was diverted when Karin asked him where he was from. He looked at her with a moment of shock before looking at his empty bowl.
Well thats... complicated... Kira stared at his bowl for a moment reflecting on the life he had before Karin said that he didnt have to share. Taking in a moment to compose himself Kira shook his head, "No... I will tell you because I trust you, after all a person to rely on the smith that makes there arms and armor... But I dont know where to start.." Kira hung back a little on his stool looking at the cieling trying to think of where to start, "I'm guessing it doesn't exist anymore but I come from the Land of Mist... Kirigakure is nothing like this place, there's only a few places there that get heavy snow fall, the rest is just a cool mist, thick as any smoke but fresh as the ocean water we live upon. Kirigakure however... it always seems that village was always meant to have a bloody history to it." Kira took a moment to compose himself gripping the stool to the point of hearing cracking of wood before he released his grip on it,"Kirikagure will always be, in my opinion, The Blood Mist Village covering the heavy mists with the color of crimson that only blood can bring. It was in there academy that I was turned into this person before you, paranoid, quick to anger, rebellious to those of greater authority like the village elders, but that mizukage... If i couldve done one thing before being crystalized it would've been to kill that man... I'd rather not go into details on that yet... But in any rate the Hidden Mist was on the surface tranquil, but to the ninja there it was like a nightmare, A sort of deep ocean under the waves of its surface tides"
With that long explanation Kira pulled his mask down to slurp the rest of the stew before setting it down for when Yuzuki was ready for it. Kira probably gave more information about it than he really felt like doing but it felt thrilling to talk about it with someone for once. Looking at Karin he smiled his goatee slightly messy from the stew juices. He cleaned it up quickly before continuing,"I guess in this new world I dont have to worry about those things... but it feels like you have no purpose when you realize that. Kirigakure was never a home to me, but it was a place where I grew up the longest. So to that I am grateful. Now though I plan to protect this village and all of you in it.. I hope that doesn't sound to cliche or cheesy just... Never had a resolve like it before." Kira looked to Karin before pulling his mask up. Looking at the spread the visitor had Kira sighed knowing most of the ryo he had would probably bankrupt him. But he did offer it to pay. Whenever yuzuki came around for the bowls Kira just shoved the coin purse and said, "Its all on me... Yuzuki-san. I'm certain that this place will need to buy food and stock up after our new girls little feast there. I hope it helps" With that Kira looked to Karin and asked, "And what of you? Where do you come from, is it a land of red heads like you and me?

Yuzuki looked at the purse gratefully, but rather than taking the whole thing, he counted out what could be assumed as the value of the meals (50 each, 150 total), and gave the rest back. His expression said that he wouldn't take any more and, as if to prove a point, he walked away.
Karin watched him go for a moment, and then brushed her copper hair from her face. "I'm from the Land of Lightning, but from a small village out on the southern plains, near the border to Fire. Town saw a lot of business due to being on the way to Kumo, but my family was never well known or even wealthy." Her brown gaze shifted away, traversing the few decorations on the walls. "I would say there was a lot of war during that time, but the same could be said for our entire history. No, the these weren't wars. It was terraforming. Whole landscapes changed because of the acts people committed. Leaf was obliterated, becoming nothing but a volcanic wasteland, and that's what started everything." Her gaze dropped to the cup of water, which she tilted slightly, watching the water slosh around inside. "We were never particularly lucky and we... were caught in the fallout."

How much she agreed with Aric's father's philosophy was astounding. The man sounded much like her mother, who was the leader of her tribe and probably the strongest-- and most vicious --person she knew. Distant eyes watched the Strigari as Iiliya floated off to someplace else; what if she had met Aric before she had met Hesrik? How different would her live have turned out? She could imagine it, almost. Her mother would have approved, for sure. The woman had always wanted her to marry in to some other clan or tribe-- power and all that. Would she have become a quaint woman? Cooking and cleaning while Aric went out to work... the thought seemed far too alien. Iiliya had been born with a spear in her hand, taught to kill from the moment she could weild it, and had never known anything different othert than her time in Kirigakure... and well look at where that got her. Picking up her glass, the snake sept mumbled slightly intoxicated in to the rim.
"Look at you, a man after my own heart." That is, if she even did relationships in the first place. Her golden eyed cleared once more but had softened from the alcohol as Aric mentiined a game. The question peaked her interest, and the repitilian woman smirked softly. "Okay, Aric, you're on. But I have to warn you... I'm fairly proficient at winning just about anything." Another sip of warm liquid made it's way through her system, and her perception started to tilt. Had it really been so long since she had last drank that she had become this much of a lightweight? Aric had become, somehow, even more gorgeous than before. His hair gleamed in the low light like spun gold and his eyes much the same. God, if only she wasn't so emotionally dead.
For the first time, Iiliya adverted her gaze with a hard swallow, forcing herself to look anywhere else but this beautiful man in front of her. His innocence and stumblkng had been fun before, but a drunker and more emotional Iiliya felt guilty for spurring him along. All that laid at the end of this night was heartbreak for him; Hesrik had killed whatever part of her had been able to love. Or maybe it was the Echoes; maybe it had sapped from her every other emotion other than anger, fear, and regret. Did... she actually feel bad? Some part of her desperately wanted to feel that kind of connection again, wanted to be loved, to be wanted... but in doing so, it was possible she's burn Aric down like Hesrik had done to her. If she continued, what she had now relized was a date, how horribly would she crush this poor strigari?
Another sip, trying to block out the thoughts she didn't want. Perhaps she'd get too drunk and stop caring again. There was always a physical relationship and holy hell was Aric an attractive man.

• Blighteater: Working as a trained medic and medium during the last days of Kirigakure was horrific, but nothing more so than having to treat the unfortunate victims of the Mizukage’s experiments. As yuzuki gave him the rest of his coin purse, Kira looked up to ask why however he didn't get the chance for Yuzuki left. Smiling softly he dug into his purse and left ten ryo as a tip. When Karin started to describe where she lived and the time she lived in Kira was interested of how that world met its end. As she went on about how her village was unlucky for being next to the fire border Kira's gaze soften as he gingerly placed his hand on her shoulder as if for comfort. I am sorry that your village was caught in such a disaster... perhaps if the five greater nations hadn't fought in such lands things could have been much more different... as his hand retracted from her shoulder he set it down on the bar and thought for a moment before he scooted over closer. It wasn't for intamacy however, it was so he could softer without people catching it. "If it helps... my parents where also killed because of one of those great nations...my... My village killed a small faction of shinobi who wanted things to change, my parents where among them. the Mizukage didn't like the idea of change so in the middle of the night the other shinobi on his orders killed that small faction... I was only nine when they came into the house. the ninja tried to keep my eyes covered but when I was put into a horse carriage I saw them execute them, taking there heads. The other children thought it was rogue ninja and mizu shinobi helped them escaped, I was only the one who knew the truth. I played along with everyone so that one day I could have my revenge on that mizukage b*****d... But that goal is impossible now..." finishing his story Kira scooted back to his original spot and put the face mask he had to its maximum length covering even his nose. However it was evident there was some water in his eyes barely visible.
tab A mug slammed down between the pair a moment before a strong hand clamped on Aric's neck and dragged him backward, throwing him almost carelessly into the churned, muddy snow. Even as he landed someone heavier brought their foot down on his chest as he raised his hands in the air and roared in victory, much to the applause of toadies who followed him. A young, fair-haired man wearing the coat of a warrior the bearing of a brute quite intoxicated on his own, applied weight downwards onto Aric's chest as he leaned down with glee and cackled into his face. Flushed flesh, glassy eyes, and not a small bit of slur in his words her crowed his victory in stylish fashion. "Ayo! Down came the giant! Ayo! A pittance worth, not more!" A sing-song phrase, one that seemed to entail he was worth less than a pittance, and clearly one meant to insult. tab Behind him, his companions cheered and slammed their mugs together, slapping each other on the backs as if having completed a mighty hunt that all had witnessed. The stranger wagged a finger down at Aric's face with a twisted smile. "Ya know, I heard the giants like you were all brawn, that your mass above stole the mass from your c**k! It sure as ******** stole the contents of your brain, coming into my bar and poaching the ladies like that!" Bringing his foot up he would attempt to bring it crashing down on Aric's face, perhaps to break his nose and mar his face in the meantime.
