Omorose Khan

The fact that the hulk was allowing her to to play with his face gave Omorose a certain amount of glee. She didn't know why, but the hip at her fingers made her tingle and she pulled them back. "Careful there." She tilted her head as Cav was called away.

"Have fun!" He wasn't the only one that left but it was nerve wracking to be left alone. She didn't see what Jericho saw but she stood just in case. Unlike most, she didn't stay put, following after him.

Lights blacked out and his light flashed on her. She meekly smiled at him, "I rushed out with no phone, so it looks like I am sticking with you eh?"

Richard Bell

Richard had been briefly distracted by the ticking sound he'd heard coming from the nurses' stand and had glanced that way, but seeing someone fumble with something wasn't as demanding of his attention as fussing over the girl in front of him with the concussive damage. For all he knew, that weird ticking noise was just a text tone, or an alarm or something the nurse had set up. Maybe it was her break? Well, she did sit back down, so maybe not, but either way Richard stopped paying attention to her almost as soon as he'd started.

"The bump is a bruise and some localized sub-dermal swelling," he murmured absently, gently palpating her head to watch for how tender it was. "Brain fluid leakage would be into the cerebral sinuses around the brain and down into your actual skull sinuses and maybe elsewhere. You wouldn't see it as a bump unless your actual skull had a hole in it. Is your neck stiff?"

It occurred to him that Ignacio and Raina were more concerned with that weird nurse than he was, so Richard chanced another glance that way. She seemed to just be sitting there. Which, yes, that was odd, but was it a cause for alarm? Ignacio's instincts in this were probably better than his, all things considered, so... Richard guessed he'd just have to keep an eye out that direction.

That being said, just where the hell was someone to take them back to have Raina looked at? Richard stood up, looking over the heads of most of the people there save for the few that were his height or taller. He couldn't see any medical staff headed their way. Just how lax was this place about head injuries? Did they often leave possible TBI patients just sitting in the waiting room? Richard was sure Raina would be fine, but imagine if she had a more serious inju--

The lights going out derailed his train of thought pretty effectively. Cursing on reflex, he reached out to where he remembered Ignacio and Raina being. His right hand found what he assumed to be Raina's shoulder and his left fingertips grazed through Ignacio's hair. "I'm right here," he murmured unhelpfully, moving his hand from Raina's shoulder to get out his phone and its associated flashlight. It was when the bright LED was lighting the three of them up, however, that Richard realized his previously mediocre signal was now completely absent. The white words "No Service" sat in the upper left corner, and trying to use WiFi calling was a resounding failure. In fact, his phone could no longer even find the network on the list.

Looking up, it occurred to him that the light from his phone wasn't getting much farther than Ignacio and Raina. He still couldn't really see anyone else in the room, though he could overhear things to the effect that other people were also bringing out flashlights.

The skin on his arms and the back of his neck began to prickle. If Raina didn't have a head injury, he would have taken his chances stumbling around in oddly thick blackness and suggested they leave. As it was, he didn't want to risk anything that would result in grievous injury. Lorna would never forgive him, or Ignacio. Ignacio might never forgive him.

He'd never forgive him.

So he shifted uneasily and tried to meet Ignacio's eyes. Did he have an idea of what to do?

Cassiopeia Lyons

She probably should have just gone to bed. Bored out of her mind, with the tv not working and her phone running low on battery, staying awake really just wasn't worth it. If she went to bed, then morning would come quicker, and maybe her doctor would finally let her go home.

At this point that seemed like wishful thinking. They were worried about her ribs. One of the breaks had been severe enough to have been pressing sharply into her lung. She'd been lucky it hadn't been punctured. She'd been lucky she hadn't died.

With a dramatic sigh Cassie flopped back against her pillow. Then the lights went out. Not just the overhead, but everything. It was like the entire building sighed out, and there was quiet. No machine beeps, no dancing needles, no nothing. The power had died.

Frowning, Cassie sat up again with a wince and a grunt, hand pressing against her side, slipped out of bed. A flick of her thumb turned the light on her phone on, and she used that to make her way out of the now pitch black room and out into the hall to find a nurse to ask what had happened.

Sadie Avamir

Sadie still wasn't feeling good, not quite, but seeing someone out in the hospital who was just trying to show kindness to her, to a stranger, was enough to loosen the knot in her core. But they were barely introduced before Grant was being pulled away.

It didn't seem right. He wasn't the one screaming and bleeding out. He wasn't one of the sick ones at all. Still, she hoped that he could find his friend, and she waved as he started down the corridors and then curled back up into her quiet ball. Maybe things would move now. Maybe she could get her antibiotics and go back to her apartment and not jump at shadows for a little while.

Well, that was too idealistic. The lights all snapped off at once. Sadie looked around frantically, but there was nothing. She could not see anything.

Before the flashlights could even flick on, she was tensed up, her fingers curled to fists and shaking, her breath bone shallow. The nurse did nothing to reassure her. It was just a power outage, she told herself. These things happened, she told herself. She was not blind. Still, with her one good eye straining to pick out the light from people's phones, she felt it would be best to get outside, at least until the power was back and maybe until tomorrow.

She stood, and with her own phone flashlight went picking her slow way across the room, towards the exit, but her field of vision was not good, and if it weren't for the sudden stream of curses, she likely would have bowled right into the woman standing in the doorway. Instead, she stopped in her tracks and stared, blinking at the person, no, the two people. "Oh, I'm so sorry."

The language could be excused in this situation, maybe, but she still tilted her head. "Are you, um," okay? That wasn't right, almost nobody here was okay. "That was. No. Um, can I just get out, please?" She squinted, trying to make out which lump in the wall was the door handle. It seemed like hospitals should have a few more windows.

Otto Moor

It really seemed straightforward enough. Leave, stop at a CVS on the way home and get more Neosporin, then head back to his apartment where they could hopefully salvage part of the night before going to bed. And in all honesty, if the latter part of that plan had to be pushed back to tomorrow night that was alright. Otto felt exhausted. Enough so that he almost ran into Dessy when she had to pause at the door because it just wouldn't open.

It took him a moment to realize what the jiggling of the handle meant, and he had the urge to reach out to try it himself, but Desdemona was one of the most capable people he knew, and if she said it was locked then he believed it. Didn't want to, but still did.

And that was more than a little troubling.

Electric or not, the doors being locked meant they were stuck in here, at the very least until the power was restored. But what it really all boiled down to was that they weren't leaving.

Sighing heavily, Otto slipped his hand from Dessy's, but only so he could place both on her shoulders, head dipping so his brow rested against the top of his head. The longer the night dragged on, the more and more and more he just wanted to crawl into bed. "I guess competency and functioning hardware is a little much to ask for free clinic."

He could feel the tension in the girl's shoulders under the warm weight of his hands, and he pressed his thumbs into her back, massaging gently before breathing a super soft, "Are you alright?" For her ears alone.

There had been no question - when they had brought Imara back into the next waiting area, Mathias was right on her heels. Unless they were about to wheel her away to some sort of surgery or imaging equipment he was going to stick by her side. Not, because he was being overprotective - because he knew damn well he was - but, at the end of the day, he wanted to be 100% aware of his wife's care.

That way he could glower at her if she tried to disobey doctor's orders - which she likely would.

And then the lights went out...

"..." Mathias stewed a moment at the sudden loss of light. The sudden silence. His mind recalled a similar... albeit more... intense situation he'd been in at a now defunct hospital not that long ago.

"I swear..." He hissed, leaning his head in close to Imara's ear so only she could hear him. "If this is another sting operation I'm going to have somebody's balls..."

The last words were a practical hiss of white hot rage, the tall man closing his eyes in the darkness, listening instead of relying on sight. Mainly because he didn't want to be blinded IF the lights came back up. One arm gently hooked around Imara's good one, both to let her know he was there - and to assure him of her presence as well.

Then he focused on keeping his breathing steady - and his rage suppressed to a dull roar.

"No..no one." So no one that they openly knew to be a senshi or a knight, not that he knew many outside those he lived with. But it also meant no classmates either, which was perhaps a good thing.

"If I had a computer I could try something...but my phone hasn't the strength or ability..." To hack into whatever system they had here. To try and figure out if there was anything going on, power wise, outside of this little place. She had to know what he meant, he made it no secret at home that he was a hacker. he'd taken over the major hospital so people could get into Lily's room and get her to the roof. He'd taken over their security like it was childs play, not that it really was...but it wasn't too hard either. He was good...but there was nothing he could do here.

"Even if I could do anything with my phone...I have no internet here...and nothing around I can connect to. it's like a blanket on the area....keeping me from finding any wifi to connect to." He whispered, keeping his voice low for only her to hear.

He already had checked his phone, even as she held his hand, he didn't turn on the flashlight app though. "The campus...destiny city university. They have something similar...You can only hook up to their wifi, can't use anything else unless it's your cell phone you are hooking into, and you need their password for it...and have the IP address of the tablet or laptop registered. It won't let anything use it that isn't registered." So this was similar but different as well.

"A wall to our backs would be nice...and away from the windows." He added as he stood slowly, fingers already working to send a text to Lily, Rose and Xander. "They won't get it till we get some sort of connection....and I don't think we're going to." H didn't think they were meant to.

Glancing over towards the small male who asked about a signal he shook his head. "No....and it's not just that." Motioning the other towards himself and Dessie.

Raleigh Jackson

This was exactly why Raleigh loved being a Senshi - it brought a sense of camaraderie and the fact that Briar had tagged along with her (enthusiastic or not) was aaamaaazzzinnnnnng~

Never mind their injuries or the fact that there was a dude who was literally bleeding out of a hole where his eye probably should be. Or that there was an entire waiting room full or injured or sick people. Raleigh's nose wrinkled, not at all disguising her look of disgust at the entire scene.

She was sure she was about to say something (she was always about to say something) when something moved in the edges of her vision. She blinked and glanced in the direction of the front counter where she was absolutely positively sure she saw something. Her eyes shifted back to Briar before looking back at the counter, shaking her head as if to clear it.

"Did you see that? Or am I totally crazy?"

Then she jumped when the bloody man yelled, her eyes searching for a doctor that was hopefully coming for him immediately.

And then the lights went out.

Pulling out her cellphone, she held it up in search of a signal that seemed to have disappear. With a sigh, she put her phone on her lap and shifted uneasily.

Mackenzie Taylor

Every few minutes Mackenzie's eyes flickered down to the face of her watch to check the time, then glanced down at her bleeding knuckles. Did she really need to be here? Maybe she could stitch herself or find another willing and able agent to do it.

Muttering under her breath and losing her patience, she stood up and marched back over to the front doors. Who the hell had time for this? As she reached for the door the lights went out and she rolled her eyes harder than possibly imaginable. "You have got to be kidding me." Looking through the window she groaned, all the lights in the parking lot out as well so there was no one she would be able to find her bike. Instead of trying to find a seat in the dark, she felt for a wall and slid down to sit on the floor and wait.

"Normally music might help, to keep everyone calm. But I think it's best we don't...in case we get instructions, or anything happens in the other room. If they are told anything." Or if anything happened to the people out there, like some sort of revolt or anything. "I wonder...they should be able to get out the doors. But what about the ones between here and the front room?" Was it some sort of magnetic or power controlled door? Which might just leave them stuck and unable to get out of here.

"Is there a backdoor? I mean so we can get out and maybe help the others if they are stuck?" If they were stuck...they shouldn't be though. They had the front and main door into this place. They should be able to just walk right out - right? So why did it sound like they hadn't? Why were they all still back here? It felt like they were separated and he didn't like being separated from the group....because together they could help each other and maybe figure this out.

Ignacio Araya & Raina Araya

When Richard started saying some big words to explain she was clearly wrong and this could be a different problem, Raina rolled her eyes. It was probably a bit immature of her, but she was losing her patience with this.

She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be home, playing video games, or something. This was taking entirely too long. Couldn't Richard have just asked her these questions back home before they came here?

-- Oh, right, he had. He was almost more paranoid than her hermano--

"No, my neck isn't stiff." And to display this, Raina opted to tilt her head all the way back, as far as her neck would let it go, and she blinked up at her older brother when she saw him. "See? No stiffness." For good measure, she reached up to poke Ignacio in the nose, who was still glancing around the room at everyone around them. He was so uneasy. Raina didn't understand it. He was a super powerful superhero, unlike her, who was basically a superhero-in-training as much as she didn't want to admit it. With his super powerful superheroness, they would be fine even if something really crazy happened like--

The lights clicked off when the clock struck midnight.

Ignacio couldn't help sucking in an uncomfortable breath of air, hands tightening into fists. It was fine. It was fine. He was just being paranoid. There were no bombs. There was nothing amiss about this power outage. Everything was normal. There was no need to suspect that the Negaverse was behind this just like they seemed to be behind everything else that he had laid his eyes on for the last ten ******** years--

Feeling Arra's hand graze through his hair admittedly came as a relief, and Ignacio's shoulders relaxed just a bit.

Only a bit, though.

Hopefully, nothing would catch on fire this time--

It didn't miss his notice, though, that Richard's cell phone light wasn't reaching very far, and that he wasn't moving to call anyone. Probably meant that he had no signal.

"Maybe we should leave."

Raina, who had been digging around in her bag for her portable game console, let out a happy, "Finally!" and jumped to her feet. She stood there for a moment, before suddenly plopping herself back down in the seat. Okay, she was feeling better, but maybe not better enough to be jumping around so much yet--

"Raina!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah... I wonder how many people are near the door?"

Felicity Allen

All it took was a sneeze. One single sneeze and Felicity lost her grip and was pummeling to the ground, hitting it with a thud. Thankfully the ground was decently padded, but falling from as high as she was while she was entwined in her hoop had her landing in a very awkward and painful way. Her instructor absolutely insisted that she go to the hospital to make sure her very swollen wrist wasn't broken, so she sat in the waiting room...

Sat and sat and sat, while people moved around her. Yellow eyes followed people around the room, staff and regular ol' waiting people as well. Her leg bounced up and down as she watched and waited, her heart going a mile a minute.

Just being there around all of the sick and hurt people had her stomach in knots. All she wanted to do was make all of these people better, and yet here she was broken herself. She chewed her bottom lip nervously, and clamped down a little harder than she should have when the lights went out and the entire hospital went dark and silent.

She took notice of the boy that was sitting next to her. As he curled into his chair, whispering to himself, obviously nervous- it practically made Felicity's heart ache for him and anyone else that was as upset. Mustering up a soft smile (even if he couldn't see it, she'd always been told people could hear it when you smiled) and whispered to him, "I'm sure the lights will be back on soon, no worries."

Brodie Jackson

It wasn't his fault.

Okay, he had been drinking - it was an arcade bar after all.

And okay, he might be a tiny bit of a sore loser. But like, only a tiny bit.

And that other guy was totally being a d**k so he absolutely deserved what he got.

But it wasn't Brodie's fault.

(It was definitely his fault).

Stumbling in to the hospital waiting room after some stranger dropped him off at the front doors, he stopped and swayed on his feet for a moment, taking it all in. He grinned at Raleigh and tried not to take offense when she chose to ignore him, not even registering that his little sister was at. the. hospital. He shrugged his shoulders and managed to make his way over to a seat, completely oblivious to the fact that he definitely didn't sign in with anyone and therefore his name would never be called.

Why was he there anyway? Was he hurt? He blinked a few times, trying to remember what exactly happened at the bar, then shrugged again as if he was answering a question that no one even asked.

"Whatever, dude," he said to absolutely no one. And then he started laughing. Like, a lot. Loud and hard, and it was even more obnoxious than usual if only because he was in a hospital freaking waiting room.

What a great night.

Looking over from where he sat he held his phone aloft, just enough that the flashlight let him see who was speaking to him. "I hope so..." But he didn't think so, if only because of past experience with such things. "I really do." Because the last time the nurse had died, and it sounded horrible, and he could remember sounds and being scared and locked in a room. It was all rather traumatic and left him with nightmares for weeks, maybe longer. He couldn't remember how long the nightmares had lasted.

"I'm Xi-Wang...ummm you are?" Not that she had to give him her name, she didn't. And he added that after a moments silence. "Not that you have to tell me - if you don't want to. I mean you can also...if you want."

Erich Jäger
It took all he had to not curse up a storm as he tried to look for one of the doors to see if they could get out. After searching for it using his hand in the general direction that he had remembered it being, he found the handle and tried to jiggle it. It was locked. "Okay, either the doors are locked because they do it automatically, or they did this on purpose." He said, not really caring who heard him and if he would freak anyone out by saying it. Since he was in the Negaverse, he wouldn't be surprised if they had come up with some way to infiltrate the building. And he also wouldn't be surprised that they could care less about potentially hurting their own agents.

He groaned and moved until his back was against a wall, and slumped to the ground, his arm still hurting and causing him pain. At this point he was seriously considering one of the people in here if they could try to force it back in.

Maybe he just needed to learn how to do it himself.

Either way, they clearly weren't getting any help now. He felt like he was going insane from the pain. "Can whatever is supposed to happen just happen already?" His voice came out sounding exhausted and he felt like just falling asleep. It would be easy to do so at least. There were no lights on and the only noises that were made were people moving around and talking. Otherwise it was complete silence.
