Paian still wants to pay them back for kidnapping two of our group..and then one they rescued before,"she explained to him. She reached over and kissed his lips again, in reply to his missing her comment.

Noah didn't want Dea's pokemon fighting teamrocket, knowing what they could do. He took her hand and gave it a squeeze, shaking his head. "Don't let them be captured," he said. He returned her kiss, seeming to calm. Just her presence made everything make more sense. Things were better with Dea there.
"Are you hungry?" he asked, rather than saying he himself was hungry. "Squirt could bring in food."

"Hon, that boat already sailed when they took Eilam and Lucy for awhile. Paian and the others managed to get him out, plus one belonging to a family member and a new baby for us. And Paian, could you please go make Noah some food please?"she requested. Paian nodded, before heading out of the room, to do what was asked of him.

Noah seemed to tense at Dea’s words. So they’d already been captured... but they’d escaped. He nodded. “Don’t let them capture you,” he said, after a long while. “I don’t think I could take losing you again.”

"I will certainly do my best, love. I do not have any plans to let them get me, I know they would not be kind,"Dea assured him. A few moments later, Paian came back in with a tray of food.

When Paian brought in food, Noah seemed to perk up. But when it was placed before him, he picked at it, taking small bites as if there wasn’t enough room in his stomach for even the smallest amount.
“They aren’t.” He said, and looked up at Dea. “Not kind.”

A look of concern came to Dea's face when she saw he was picking at his food. She reached over and place a hand on his forehead, he didn't seem to have a temperature at all.
"Honey, are you okay? You aren't eating much of your food and it is worrying me,"she whispered.

Dea was worried. Noah hated to make her worry, and he forced himself to take a bite. “I’m alright,” he said, after he chewed and swallowed. “I guess I wasn’t as hungry as I thought. This looks like a feast! I don’t think I can eat any more.”

"Honey, don't pretend with me..please? If I need to have Paian look you over, please let me know. I don't want you hurting or in pain, I have to make sure you are okay,"she pleaded.

But he didn't want to worry her. Paian had so many responsibilities, including taking care of Dea herself. He didn't want to stress her and be the reason behind her illness.
"I'm not in pain," he said, after a moment. "I'm just not used to all this food."

"Well, just take it little by little, there is no rush. I know you have to get used to things all over again,"she smiled softly.

It was true. He’d have to get used to people being around and food being available among other things. “I want to be well again,” he said. He wanted things to go back to how everything had been before he’d been taken, three years ago.
“Will you help me?”

"Of course, I wouldn't make you do this all by yourself. I know what it is like to have to rely on others for help. Just be sure to listen to advice when it is given, so Paian doesn't get upset,"she suggested.

“You know I don’t like listening to advice,” Noah said. But he knew how Paian got when things didn’t go his way. He was less fun than Noah remembered him being.
“It might be fun to tease him,” he said. “Do you think he’ll be upset that I didn’t eat?”

"I know you don't, but you have to remember it is for your own good. You just got to learn not to brush good advice off. As for Paian, he will understand if I explain it to him. Honestly, he may anyway, being a doctor,"she answered him truthfully.
