As I showed you yesterday, this pursues the 80s revival to its natural conclusion... And I can't wait for Transformers. Total Film had quite a lot of favourable things to say about it, which makes a change. DW

Given what we were just looking at, that isn't seeming as implausible as I'd like it at the moment...

I wonder if anyone will think of a Dangermouse revival? I'm unsure whether to hope that they do or hope that they don't.

At one point rumours were flying that there'd be a DM CGI series, thanks to a screen grab. I *think* it turned out that Cosgrove Hall had produced it in order to demonstrate the capabilities of a new piece of animation software and they categorically were not going to produce a new series, movie or anything else.
Besides, I swear they couldn't. Who could possibly imitate Terry Scott properly?
Better merely to get the DVD boxset and enjoy the 10 odd series that we had throughout the eighties...

I remember that screengrab. Made at least one magazine frontpage.

...That Teddy Ruxpin movie would be a freakin' awesome one. XP
Though, joking aside...think it'd be something more up the alleys of directors of into the whole acid-trippy-fantasy genre.

Just got home from seeing Transformers.
It's not smart, it's not clever, but aside from that, it's utterly made of pure win. smile
I do pity the 95% of the audience who left before the credits ended though. wink

The more I hear of Hellboy 2, the more I'm convinced that it;s going to be amazing. And Stardust. And Coraline.
I just wish there was some Third Mother news out there somewhere.

Stardust I think you've mentioned before; Hellboy 2 is pretty self-explanatory. But what are the other two? In the meantime, I'm considering seeing Rush Hour 3 at some point smile And this autumn I may see "Day Watch" - the sequel to Russia's "Night Watch". There was a nice advert on the back of this month's "Total Film" for it. DW

The novel of Night Watch is much, much better than the film, by the way.

At the moment, there isn't so many movies that I'm waiting to come out, as there are ones that I've either already missed out on in theatres, or ones that I'm currently missing...
Pirates 3 and F4: Rise of the Silver Surfer come to mind, and I'm hoping that I can catch the Simpsons movie (though I'm worried that about half of the dang flick's been shown in just the trailers alone..) and Rush Hour 3 before it's too late.
On another note...and I'm sure anyone who's seen Transformers will get this, who's intrigued by that "Cloverfield"/"1-18-08" movie coming out? I'm dying to see what the creature looks like....

I just got back from seeing Transformers. It rocks amazingly! I love Bumblebee and the humans weren't actually annoying. I could go way more fangirl than this, but I just got down from my endorphin high smile I need to go see that movie again. And it is definitely one to own on DVD.
Yeah, there are bits that are brash & American as hell, but they don't grate too much - I guess I was in a forgiving mood.
And thanks to the trailer & Total Film, I now know a little something about Stardust. Looks OK.
