Cracking his neck Toso would appear on the dojo grounds. He'd crack his neck but would come off as more of sproiiiing. He looked down at his previously bandaged legs. They'd healed, but now they showed visible scarring. "Ug...I've gotten pretty weak haven't I? Bloop." His eyes narrowed in on himself as pulled out his large trademark brush from his sleeve. "I suppose I'll take some time to 'Brush up' bloo bloo bloo." Toso would then begin his personal training corse to start refining that of which he already knew and picking up some new techniques along the way that were previously beyond him. Even if he felt as though he'd gotten weaker his recent run in with assisting that assasination mission proved to show he'd gotten stronger since.

It seemed that Toso's more career-focused mind did well to aid him in picking up the newer movements of the differentiating styles. He hadn't done much to serve the village lately, well aside from killing a man and busting that group of would be Jashinists. Actually, I guess he was doing a tidy job after all. Still resting on his laurels for too long again would likely paint him in a negative light. His injuries from then had indeed healed already and it was time to move on to the next thing. Training his core, and honing it further so as not to get too soft...eh suffice to say he was soft. Jyuugata senpu was excellent for cardio and Ja no muchi would help build up some additional strength in his arms and tentacles that had gotten lazily from lack of use.

Finally, he would start to sit down and collect himself. The Squid had winded himself with all his physical activity he would use this time to practice molding chakra, sharpen his focus, and think about how to better execute the many forms of which his brush could take. Similarly, he'd think about Unki, the plan to make her and a collection of other girls idols to try and get Ika-Shokuji out of the red quickly. He had no doubts his bartender was doing what he'd inspired him to do and that was to create things. Thinking back to it, it was humorous how a strange man came into his life uncertain how he was going to continue his fathers legacy.

Focusing inward managing his level of chakra as though he were breathing it in an out, matching it with the flow of his breathes until they were in perfect unison Toso would drift off into how him and his bartender met, and the circumstances that lead to how he himself became and took up the trade of becoming a craftsman. Over the counter of an empty restaurant, and an unmanned mini bar a Toso deep in thought staring at the large brush Modoru Gumo that rested on the table the Brush that aided in the sealing of the Gyuuki. "I simply don't see it...is what I'm doing truly right bloop? The act of sealing...fuuinjutsu. Living things. Stripping them of their freedom? I'd always thought it a simple method of storage..but nothing so...permanent."

Toso's chakra in the current moment spiked in an irregularity before he quelled it again returning to the memory. What aided in quelling it was the entrance of a masked man causing the bell to ring. "Ah, I'm sorry sir but we're close.." "Sincerest apologies. Je suis désolé, I am here for the position." "Ah...bloop. Yes the position of bartender." perhaps this is what was needed to get his mind off of things. Removing his brush from the counter Toso had invited him to show him for an interview which turned out to be quite the pleasurable experience with how colorful the man was...he was almost envious. The man was so expressive despite his mask.

A deep inhale in reality as the story continued to unfold playing back in his head as though it were only yesterday. "So you're a foreigner I'm a foreigner myself bloop." The two of them completely oblivious to each others verbal ticks. "Indeed bon! If you don't mind me asking monsieur you seemed to be quite in the doldrums when I arrived would it be rude of me to inquire why that was?" "Trying to get on my good side already bloop?" Toso would look at the brush on the ground next to him face changing to the somber. He'd been using Genjutsu to try and forget about the situaton that had been plaguing his mind. "I suppose you could say I've been questioning some life decisions." "I can relate bon! I simply do not know what to do with myself. I take to this place for employ as I've nary the idea what to do. My father has taken ill you see and he can no longer sell his goods. He was such the dignified craftsman bon." Looking at the clipboard in his hands the memory of Toso looked back at Trefles. "Well bloop, have you ever considered using his knowledge of crafting he passed unto you to create items to sell?"

Remembering the joyous memory Toso's chakra lit up all the more as he found it all the easier to control. "YOU ARE A GENIUS MONSIEUR! HO HO! I WILL SEE TO IT QUITE SO THAT MY SERVICE TO YOU IS UNFALTERING." At the time Toso had thought he'd made a huge mistake, that he'd hired a fool as a bartender. However, he couldn't have been more wrong the frenchman was not only an amazing bartender but an amazing craftsman. He'd be tinkering with things that not even Toso was aware of how they worked in his spare time. Drawing up blueprints and the like. It was quite refreshing being exposed to his positive influence.

It went without saying though that the frenchman would pickup on his employers well..negative aura he'd been having recently. It was only a matter of time before the masked man confronted Toso about it. "Pardon, me patron but I have been taking a notice you seem to be rather out of sorts bon. You did say you were an artist no? Yet I've yet to see you paint anything as of late. Forgive my directness." The memory of Toso would laugh. 'Bloo bloo bloo. Quite perceptive I suppose your right." It would then sigh looking down at the counter. "I suppose you could say I've been lacking in a muse lately." "Ho, then if I am not stepping out of bounds...what say I show you other ways to produce wondrous arts aside from brush and ink." The memory of Toso looking at an incomplete fuuin sigil would then look at the masked man...smile and nod "Sure, why not."

It was in those days did the squidmans way of thinking did change. He was skilled in tailoring but something held him back. To which Trefles would pat him on the back and provide him encouragements. Eventually, the truth came out between the two and since then Toso found a new love in creating things for the sake of others...as she would have done. Opening his eyes Toso smiled to himself looking to check his surroundings...the dojo was rather quiet for once. But the chakra that welled in his heartfelt all the more stronger in this memory. While he may have shirked his dedication to fuuin to a degree it was replaced with a new passion. Perhaps...if ever he did attain a demon he would gain a further understanding of them...but until then a deep determination to never seal another living being again would remain. How the two of them forked together, gathered, and stored materials with their talents, he may be a sealer, but he didn't have to seal living things himself.

Later Opening his eye's and standing he'd hear what sounded like the clashing of metal on metal. Intrigued by this sound the squid would investigate. It would be then that behind the Dojo he would see a man with a greatsword duking it out with a man with a shield. "A shield? Seems archaic bloop." He would say to himself, but he would then watch intently as these two forces duked it out. It was actually...rather enlightening. True, shields weren't something that came to mind when one thought 'shinobi' but maybe it was that very thought that drew him to it, to begin with. Moreover how the man held his ground against the massive sword where one would usually expect the metal of the shield to break was...inspiring. Toso would watch intently using the eyes of the studious spectator, replicating some of the movements would certainly prove simple enough.

Eventually, the spar with the two people concluded ending in a handshake as they intended on going their separate ways. Toso would then approach the shield-wielding man who had fallen on his haunches to get a breather in. "Pardon me bloop, you wouldn't happen to have some spare time would you?" Toso would then sit down with the man as the two of them exchanged banter. The man laughing finding it odd that a man who considered himself a squid with a heavy focus of agility and speed would ever want to use a shield. He would then lecture Toso on the intricacies of using a shield, types of shield, and what kind of defenses they could provide while showing the squid man the basics. It was a calm and pleasant session, even if he had no interest in using bladed weaponry the knowledge could prove useful if ever in a tight spot. In exchange, Toso would show the man some of his technique. Ideally, methods to compensate and still be evasive even while on the defense.

Before the man would leave he would impart a wooden shield to Toso. The kind that would typically be used by students. "Even a shield made of wood can prove a powerful defense in the right hands you know." "I've no doubt Hanase-nii." "You're a strange one you are. Take care Hojo-san" Toso would bow as the two parted ways. Now that he had an actual shield in hand and the knowledge to incorporate it Toso would wield Modoru-gumo in one hand to act as his 'sword' as he began to actually move through the techniques putting himself through the paces. It would have been undoubtedly easier to use a sword in hand but honestly, he didn't see why he couldn't substitute a blade for a brush. It may actually prove to spice things up rather nicely. Although he'd need to acquire himself...a more suitable shield.

To conclude today's work out Toso would make way for a small koi pond nearby. Having some leftover crackers from an earlier snack before he left Ika-Shokuji he pondered what it meant to be a shinobi again. A brief moment of additional meditation to think about life. Did Unki enjoy her time in Isekai-junsei? How were his parents doing despite not really being all that keen with them recently...and "I wonder what Captain Kosei is doing?" Tossing the last of the crackers into the pond Toso would dust himself off and head to who knows where.
