As Ora responded, saying she wasn't sure she would ever see him again and that she had to give the traditional greeting, Garret would smile. Not fully one of arrogance for one, though it would quickly fade to one. He had no intention of dying anytime soon, and they still had that duel to fulfill at some point in the future. Likely when we himself was a bit stronger, especially after her show of force just now. 'Shes grown stronger since last we met.' He silently thought to himself. While he knew he did as well, it was not as much as he would have liked. Especially with the effect her mere headbutt had. Still, despite how much of an argument the two had in the past, it was nice to see an old face again. While he knew she was alive, as he liked to keep tabs on his rivals, he hadn't known anything specifically about how she'd been. Now he did, and was eager for when their match would happen.
After speaking of his suggestion to Rachel, he heard Ora's...distinctive voice mentioning she may not be best for the mission. Thinking on it to the result of last time of her nearly killing him on false pretenses, he would have to agree. But he left that up to Rachel for now as she may not even pick Ora. It was then Rachel would toss her bag of jerky high up in the air, only to rip off her mask as it fell and eat it all in one fell swoop. "The predator finally shows its teeth. Bit more brutish than needed. Couldn't she have monologued while waiting for it to fall before eating it? It would have made for a far more dramatic entrance.' Garret thought to himself with a slight smirk. It would've been something he would do if he had the strength to throw it so high. As she went on afterwards, taking his suggestion even though he knew she preferred a more simplistic one in all likelihood, he would watch and study all the students she would list. The first one was a person in a giant mechanical suit who had only recently walked into the area. Garret could see why she was chosen...however he didn't know how different his reasoning was to Rachel's. 'She seems imposing with her bulk, and her first layer of defense is all mechanical. She should be able to take a good few hits from any Grimm at the very least. No matter how detestable machinery is for combat.' Garret silently thought to himself. While he understood the benefits to machinery, there was no honor in it. Anyone who relied heavily on it was sacrificing the honor of testing ones body/mind against another in combat. She was one person he did not have any desire in dueling for that very reason, so it worked out that she was going on the rescue mission. The next person she listed was pretty plain like Rachel had called her, but being listed as a team leader showed some promise at the least. 'Should she utilize the mech effectively to distract the enemies, she should take advantage of it to land some blows herself.' He thought to himself as he was judging all members of the team. At the very least it would be more experience for her. The last person she chose was a girl who was reading a book...who then headbutted the horned male faunus in front of her, causing him to fall to the ground. 'Intellect and some fire to her. A sharp mind and body are always a good combination. It should serve her in battle.' He thought, his final judgement placed. The team would have a chance to succeed...if they knew how to play to their strengths. Then again, what those truly were Garret did not know. He was only making visual assumptions thus far.
Rachel would then continue on telling them of their mission and how they would pass the class. It was...less than motivating to say the least. He was surprised she didn't hand them their gravestones and say to mark where their bodies lay to find them later at that point. Lancer himself didn't have a scroll on him at the moment, as he preferred to be without it most times. He trusted, at the least, that the prospect of combat for Rachel would have her eager to join them if their was a significantly challenging fight. 'Which in turn would leave me in charge of all the others. Lovely.' He thought to himself. Having an inkling of how Grimm reacted to Allister, he hoped they would be concentrated there versus the ones here. He could not be in all places at once if a Grimm fight were to occur, no matter the fact of how many Grimm he desired to fight. Rachel would then continue on with the rules of the game, saying how her teeth were the points by firing them into a nearby tree with her weapon. Doing a quick count of the teams and the teeth on the tree...he knew there was not enough for him to get one. Rachel he didn't include in that since she could generate infinite teeth. He kept this to himself for now however as he listened to her explaining everything. How the team with the most teeth would win, how those who lost all their teeth got a second chance in the form of lancer or Rachel, and lastly after a long pause which he could tell was more forgetfulness than anything, none of their own weapons. As she finished speaking Lancer would turn to face her as a few students were already depositing their weapons and one voicing how he had not expected this to be included in survival class. Which, while Lancer agreed, he preferred it this way personally. "Seeing as there is not enough teeth on the tree for me and all the teams, as you so graciously included us in having a few, may I request that you open your large maw so that I may gather a few? If not firing a few more into a nearby tree would work." Garret would ask of her in a calm tone with no hint of arrogance for once. Though he had a feeling more teeth were in her weapon, he felt particularly daring today for some odd reason. It was almost as much a test for himself in daring as it was Rachel in self control for him to grab a few. She could always say no and he would get them the next time she fired the weapon, but strangely enough the idea of it being fresh teeth the students were vying for seemed to interest Garret more. His mind had a few idea of what he could do for the students to get the teeth. One would be to string them up as necklaces in hard to reach area, or even around the necks of Grimm. Another was to duel one member of each team and only the worthy get one. All idea were enticing for Garret, and so depending on circumstance he may do a blend of them if he were able. ✘ Post count: 34 ✘Semblance timer: 0/5 ✘ Recharge: 0/5 ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Ora would listen to the choices that the teacher made for those going on a mission. She was glad that she had not been listed. For some reason, that man was able to goad her into anger so quickly last time that she had to bring him back to the medical tents, instead of helping in the battles. Ora had dented her armor from the weight of them both. She would feel the weight of Lena's hand on her back, but then the dreaded words came. No weapons, and the teacher was looking at her directly. s**t, her suit of armor counted as a weapon...
Ora would go over it internally. She needed to pass this class, but to do it, she would have to expose herself. She would sigh silently, then hearing Zed ask her if she and Lancer knew each other. "Yeah, we met on my first day to beacon. I tried helping him, and he refused, but we stayed together until we got to the school." She would fail to mention that she had nearly killed the student that Dusk was going to save. That was a story for another time.
She had to do it. She had to expose her skin to the air, for the first time since she had been to beacon. Yes, she did shower, but showering was different. She would sigh, and start to take off her armor, before she took off the first greeve, she would look up to Lancer. "You ready to see what you are truly up against?"
She would then take off the first arm piece, exposing her arm to the air, and she would hold it up to her face, showing the difference between the heavily scared arm, and her scarless face. "Are you afraid?" She would then start taking off the rest of her armor, every bit that she took off, revealed skin that was scared, not with bite or scratch wounds, but by longer items.
When all of her armor was off, she would stand there, in a red bodice piece, that covered her like a bikini, going down to a skirt around her hips, exposing even more scars. On her legs, there were stockings that went down to her feet. She would then go into a small bag that she had brought. Her skin almost being pulled tight as the scars would fight her movement. She would pull out a black shot coat and she would place it over her body, covering her arms again, as she pulled the white furred hood over her white hair, her horns still sticking out a bit. She then would pull out a pair of boots that went up to her knees, with metal studs in them.
Before all the students, she would turn from the heavily armored woman, to the heavily scared woman that wore armor. She would then look at Zed, waiting for a response, as it was everyone's first time seeing Ora's body without armor, except for Lena.
Everything seemed alright, at first anyways, but things changed when the teacher sent three people after a student. What got her was the fact that she couldn’t use her weapons, which was fair for her, though she looked to Ora. It meant Ora would reveal what she'd been hiding all this time. Seeing her girlfriend take off the armor only to reveal her scared body made Lena nod. "Okay...okay." Taking off her harness she turned the piece around, removing what advantages she had for movement. The harness folded up as it was placed next to the armor plates. With the tooth now in hand she looked to Ora. "I could always... you know... but if I do that I’d need help bringing my gear back." Unholstering her paint guns she placed those next to the harness, the outskirts would live without seeing bright neon colors.

WILD HUNT Semblance ▐████████████████████████████████████████▌0 / 15 Aura Status - Active / Inactive Aura Efficiency▐████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████▌100%
After Remus and Chloris made their way into the clearing where everyone was gathering Remus peeled off from Chloris. She seemed to be checking out the place and those there. Remus wasn't interested in that really. Instead he made his way over to the others. His attention only wandering when he looked back to see that Chloris was indeed following him towards their teammate, if at her own pace. He managed to walk up to the tree just in time to get a good seat to watch Henryk get headbutted out of the tree and land what mostly seemed to be face first on the ground to him. Course Henryk was a natural acrobat and had some slight of hand skill so Remus wouldn't be at all surprised if he had managed a flawless save from such a face planting landing. Chloris went on ahead of him with a concerned look on her face. Ella herself would probably be up in arms with worry and apologies as well so he left the team leader to the girls and instead got settled leaning against a tree.
He only then paid any attention really to the rest of the clearing. He scuffed softly at the run away student's comments. Chloris on the other hand seems to be casting worried glances after the direction the kid went rocketing off in. What the teacher, or teachers as he wasn't completely sure he could rule out the guy with the spears as not being an assistant teacher of some sort, had to say was much more important. It was also a tad unexpected. 'Fighting in a survival course? Getting through combat sure was an act of survival but wouldn't that kind of survival be taught in weapons class?' He thought to himself. From what he had seen at least two of his teammate could use a bit of wilderness survival training. Though to some degree of fairness he could at least apply some benefit of the doubt in the shape of new arrival status towards them. He mulled it over in his mind. 'Fighting isn't too bad though, but putting that aside that rescue team line up... Did she actually put any thought into it at all? She's a teacher so she must of had some reasoning in mind, right?' His thoughts asked him questions as if trying to convince him.
He looked at the others and walked over to Ella who had hopefully recovered from any head trauma by now. She really didn't have any say in the matter. She would be stuck having to go. He reached up and grabbed her shoulder for a moment to stop her from running off right away to go get that buffoon. If Ella looked back at him fast enough she would manage to catch a glimpse of a bit of swirling mist like substance disappearing into her hair or onto her back. He wasn't sure how she would feel about most small critters but if she saw the mist she should know what it was from their time on the beach, and if she couldn't make out what it was then that might be a good thing. Chloris and Henryk would be able to though. It only showed up for a second, a small phantom like mouse sticking its head out of Ella's hair for a second before retreating back out of sight. Remus had effectively placed a 'bug' on her. "Take her with you Ella. Since the teacher has it in mind for us to do some combat survival training it isn't actually still connected to my semblance anymore. So ride along is about all she will do, but I supplied it with a reserve of aura so she won't vanish for a few hours. If something happens just feed it a little of your own aura and she will reconnect to my semblance like flipping a switch on." Remus let her should go after he finished explaining. He watched her and the others assigned to go get rocket coffin boy head off.
He then headed over to the tree with the teeth wedged in it. He collected three of the teeth. One for each of the remaining team members. Chloris seemed like she didn't intend to give up her staff. It was just a wood pole after all so Remus wasn't sure if she would need to. That might be why she was hesitating as well. He wasn't sure why he needed to give up his weapon either. His eyes moved over to the stuff Rachel had mentioned. They were simple weapons. 'Nothing really special here compared to what I've already got. Nothing really different either. Never mind Chloris... Guess I could ask the teacher about it.' Remus headed over to Rachel next. He stopped near by and pulled one of the two sabers sheathed behind the quivers of arrows. "So I have a quick question. Just to verify you said we can use what is here or fashion our own. But looking at what's here would all our weapons not pass for use when compared to those? Mine's just a pair of sabers, no mechanical components or anything just a simple blade much like the others you have brought. And even in ranged mode all it is is attaching the sabers and stringing it with aura to make a bow." He tapped the tip of the blade on the quiver holding the arrows when he mentioned the bow form. Then he slid the drawn saber back into its sheath. "As for the only other weapon I'm sure our team brought it is just a wood bo-staff." He gestured towards Chloris and her staff.
If these were simple enough to pass Rachel's use basic, simple weapons as Remus thought and hoped they would then great. If not he would remove the sheath quiver from his belt, put it with the armor and other mechanical weapons the other students had took off and move to plan B. Hope that Chloris could use her semblance to grow more staffs, or a bow. Either way he took out his scroll and began working on a message as he walked back across the clearing to the others. He made sure to send it to them before he actually gave them each their tooth. The message they got was identical on both scrolls. 'Make sure you keep it somewhere safe, but don't put it anywhere until we are away from the others. Which we should do post haste. As for where to go... Without Ella we cant rely on a water defense, so perhaps somewhere over grown where Chloris could shine. Henryk you should be able to manage to move about in the tree's easily enough and thick underbrush would hide my eyes and ears better. Hiding int eh trees also could give us a height advantage, but up to you Henryk. You're the team leader so it is you're call.'

Henryk did not get the reaction he had been looking for. Mere moments after his enthusiastic greeting...His ears bled from a high pitched squeal right in front of his face as well as the feeling of Ella as she headbutted him with no real warning in his mind. Despite being an Ibex faunus, he did not have the experience of headbutting others with as most others may and so the blow got him right in the forehead instead of his horns. Henryk saw stars for a moment as he felt his grip with his legs temporarily fail, and his entire body slid down from the branch above. He crashed in a small heap right in front of Ella, his horns impaling the ground first before his body followed. Slowly, and with a groan, he would right himself into a sitting position right in front of her with his hand on his forehead. "Oww...thats one way to greet someone..." He would say is a slightly pained voice, a little dizzy from the unexpected hit. "Also why are there stars around you...Oh wait thats me...I think." Henryk would add, a disoriented. He shook his head to try and clear his mind and closed his eyes for a few seconds...then when he opened them the world was spinning far less and there were no mystical stars beside Ella. As he finally gave some thought to his antics...he remembered a similar reaction from Ella when he had just walked up to her at the beach. Finally putting two plus two together...He gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry...I sort of forgot its lethal to approach you while you are reading hehe..." He said, hoping she didn't decide to follow up with more after the headbutt. It didn't help that while he was acrobatic...he couldn't flip away in time if she decided he needed another blow so he was in the danger zone currently.
As Henryk was making his apologies to hopefully increase his life expectancy, he noticed a rumbling sensation, the sounds of panicked birds and trees falling. Slightly worried that the forest had come alive and was about to come and claim their Victim, which of course had to be him, he watched as it approached closer and closer...till he could tell it was some giant robot. He blinked as he stared at it a few times, never having seen anything quite like it before. It was then that his attention would be taken by something else entirely...the result of Ora's headbutt. Whoever she was headbutting had crossed his spears in front of him and had the ground give way a little under him as he was pushed back. Henryk gulped imagining what would happen if he were ever headbutt by her when he thought Ella's hurt. From her reaction though...it wasn't even one of anger but... 'A greeting? Wait a second...' If that were a traditional greeting for her then...He gulped as he realized she may do such a greeting to him in the future. He was glad they were friends at the least...if he were her enemy he didn't want to imagine what would happen.
He vaguely heard a loud voice yelling quiet, his gaze briefly traveling to a short girl, before his attention turned back to the teacher as she spoke rather loudly. Apparently, her first order of business was a rescue mission for the person who took off in their coffin. Henryk hadn't fully bought the speech he had given, more so believing it was an excuse so he could ditch class. Which made him wonder why he was even in the class, but that was not something he himself could answer. As he listened to the people, he saw the robot was chosen first, along with another girl he did not know... "Ella!?" He said surprised as his gaze turned back to her. He had just greeted her, and thus just been headbutted, yet she was already leaving. It was like the beach all over again. He quickly tried to hide his surprise, or at least distract her, as he began to speak in a more confident voice. "You'll do great Ella. If any Grimm happen to come your way, you can just headbutt them into submitting!" Henryk would joke, gesturing with a small one of his own though no where near to making contact with hers. It was then that he noticed Remus and Chloris arriving, Remus specifically as he put his hand to Ella's shoulder and a small phantom mouse appeared. It was such a cool semblance that his team mate had, and immensely useful as he explained it. "And if you ever need any help we will rush to your aide." Henryk would add as he noticed Remus give her a phantom mouse as one, even explaining how it worked. There was no rule they couldn't help them yet as far as he knew in his mind. He would rise to his feet and offer his hand to Ella so that she may rise as well, if she were still seated. If she accepted he would help her up. "And welcome back you two, you made it just in time for her lesson, hopefully." Henryk would say in a cheery voice, glad to find out they weren't eaten by the forest and that they were back.
As he listened on...he wondered if he should make a speech himself for the students leaving given how...bland the teachers was. But he stayed quiet as she began to list the rules for the class. It was interesting that they were doing a point system...with her own teeth to boot. He flinched a little as she fired her gun and embedded the tree with teeth...but found it to be cool and flashy nonetheless. What stopped him from going to get his immediately was the chance she may fire again. The objective of the class seemed simple enough, get as many teeth as you can to win and don't lose yours. He was about to go and get his own when she paused for a long time...too much for a dramatic pause...and mentioned they couldn't use their own weapons. Henryk was disappointed and didn't want to give up his...but as he reached for its familiar spot he realized it wasn't there. Looking around the area to see if it fell out when he climbed...he suddenly remembered what else he had forgotten that day. 'Well thats one less thing to worry about.' He thought to himself with a smile. It would have been far worse to have forgotten it here. Looking to what she gestured could be used...he was unexcited at first as it all seemed to be simple weapons...Until he noticed a net. A grin immediately sprang to mind as he hatched a plan. 'A net will do nicely.' He thought to himself.
Before he could go ahead and claim his own, several things happened that made him pause. First off was two other students walking up before him, one having a lot of hidden ones and commenting how he had not expected this of survival class. Which, now that he had time to think, Henryk agreed. He had not expected combat with other teams but he could see why it was considered part of survival. The other person mostly remained silent, though she seemed a lot more meek at least in the presence of the teacher as she left a scythe by her and took her tooth. Then...Ora took off her armor. As Henryk saw all the scars he felt a little queasy for a moment...there were a lot. His earlier sentiment to her when she had told him she had them felt woefully inadequate. He had to look away after a few moments lest he feel too sick. Seeing Remus go forward and grab a few teeth, he saw he did not have to get any as he awaited his return. He began speaking to the teacher but he wasn't sure of what specifically. Henryk suddenly felt a vibration in his back pocket, and lo and behold, his lost scroll appeared.
Reading the message, he would glance towards the approaching Remus and nod. As he accepted the tooth, he thought of where he could put it without others really noticing. He thought of a way he could hide it without anyone noticing and smiled, but for now kept the tooth in hand. Henryk would begin typing on his own scroll, taking a few seconds to find out how to do so before he sent his message. 'I've got an idea...I just need to grab a few things from that pile over there.' He would then walk up to Rachel, move in a circle in front of her and patted himself down to prove he had no weapons, before he would grab a net, rope, and a simple wooden club from there and casually walk back to his team. 'So i've got a few ideas of what we can do with this useful net and rope here if we find a good place to set up. Traps are something of a specialty for me. I do like your ideas though Remus, so i'm all up for hiding in the trees if you two are. We just need to play to our strengths and coordinate.' He would say, gesturing to the net and rope as he mentioned them. He paused, and sent another message. 'Though a good distraction always works. If you can make something bigger Remus...we may be able to lure them or lead them to us without them knowing where we are. Either way we should get going before someone takes our spot. Since you came up with most of the plan Remus, I trust you to lead us to a decent area. If you see a really good spot or have a plan of your own Chloris, feel free to chime in. I'm open to all suggestions and backup plans are always good.' Sure, Henryk could be a forgetful goofball at times. That didn't mean he didn't know how to execute a well laid plan. Its why he was so good at pranks. And why he survived pulling off so many in his life. Backup plans save lives. ✘ Post count: 12 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC:

Tch... No weapons, huh? Zed would say. He unsheathed his blade from his coat and unloaded the clip from inside, keeping that with him at least. After dropping his gun blade to the floor, he noticed that Ora was being pretty hesitant about taking off her armor, which was also her weapon, and virtually her clothes that she wears all the time. He never really did see her without the armor in the first place. Then again, Zed hadn't seen anything that had surprised him lately. Although, just at the moment Ora took off her wrist armor, and showed the scars, that's when the guilt just sunk down on him. He was scared to know "they" did this to her, but too late now. Oh... That's what you meant.... Zed would say, when she asked if Lancer was afraid. As she took off the entire armor, and changed into regular clothes, he saw how she had a ton of blade and whip scars riddled across her body. By the look of them, those didn't look like they came from battle. More like they came from slave beatings. Zed knew those scars perfectly, as he had some on his back. That's it? Zed asked with a somewhat unconcerned tone. Look, I'm not going to get into your business, about what your past was if you don't want to. But whatever happened in the past shouldn't get in the way of our friendship. We're a team, and we shouldn't focus on what was, but we should focus on what is. And that is to beat these assholes so we can get the rest of the teeth and win this game! Zed would tell the Wasp and the Sheep. He had this somewhat determined, overconfident, and mischievous smirk all mixed in one. A trait that was very befitting of Zed, that Dusk knows about. Taking three teeth off the tree branch. Armor, weapons, whatever! We're still gonna kick their a**, right guys? Zed asked the two with a smirk.

Ella Fletcher "Would you like to go for a swim?"
Ella instantly grabbed her head once it made contact with Henryk, her vision went blurry for a few seconds as she made a slight groan. She had totally forgotten that she had brought Henryk down rather harshly and instantly opened her eyes once she ragained this short memory, "Oh dear! Henryk I'm so sorry, I just, my book - you know not to do that!!" she said, not able to justify why her reaction to a fright was to headbutt someone, she definitely wouldn't do that in a fight. Henryk seemed to take it quite well, he laughed through the awkward scenario which made Ella let out a slight chuckle too. Placing her hand on her forehead again, she could feel the blood rushing to the place of impact and could tell it went red.
Ella remained sat down, she could see Henryk thinking about something. "I'm just glad I didn't contact your horns, I suppose it could have been worse.." she said, trying and make some humour from this. This experience was soon shattered, as her attention was drawn to the teacher who pointed her finger right in Ella's direction, addressing someone as 'bookworm'. She looked around her, and when Henryk followed on by saying her name and telling her she would be 'great' she was a little stunned to say the least. The bottom of her stomach dropped and she felt a little sick, she had been chosen to go with strangers to recover someone - sighing a little as she mumbled 'why me'.
Ella gave Henryk a small smile, she was uncomfortable with the while situation. She took his hand and pulled herself up, nodding in thanks as she then turned her attention to Remus and her other teammate she was yet to meet. Ella waved towards Chloris, letting out a friendly smile "Hey, so I guess I'm leaving you all for now to go and drag someone back!" she said, a little irritated on the inside as she tried not to show it.
Suddenly Ella felt a slight tickle around her neck as Remus attached something to her, she let a little chuckle out as it then calmed down and watched as the small mouse came from her hair and then back in - lucky she had thick silver locks to keep the mouse in place. "Oh, thanks Remus - I'm just glad it wasn't a cockroach you placed there!" she said, smiling to her team. Henryk was full of compliments and motivating words, and at least she got to keep her weapons.
She waved at her team, "Be careful, and just... survive" she said, as she walked off to meet the others she had been paired with, ready to retrieve someone from the woods.

XXXHuh, neat. There were no direct objections to her lesson plan! Man, she was certain someone was gonna get riled up about the whole thing and she'd have someone's face to beat in. But alas, everyone was pretty well compliant on it. One by one, students would come up and begin to disarm themselves and leave their weapons at her feet. There was an odd bit of satisfaction that came from it. The first up was someone who pretty well masked themselves up, it reminded her of her younger days. Except... He was much more formal with his words than she ever was. Throwing her arms up, she could only agree with him. "I mean, I was originally supposed to be a combat teacher. Pretty obvious, right? Dunno what happened. Suddenly I was slapped with a survival title and thrown out here." Bluntly honest, she'd lower her head just a bit in his direction and cup her hands around her mouth. "I'm a head-on kind of gal, but there are plenty of ways around it. Ya seem pretty witty, I'm sure you'll be fine~" With the boy departing, a much less talkative girl seemed to follow his stead. Less talkative? Actually, she didn't say anything. She just seemed to squirm up, then melt away just as quickly as she approached. "Ya got this Pinkett! Keep it up like that and no one's gonna catch ya!"
It continued on with more students disarming themselves and preparing themselves for combat. There were a few that were interesting to see disarm themselves. Those of team DOLZ were dropping suits of armor, however, the one she referred to as Mutton earlier was particularly interesting. An intense variety of scars that were much like her own, not caused by combat from the grimm they were destined to challenge ... But those done with horrible intentions. A series of memories would flash before her eyes, causing her eyelids to flutter rapidly; one would almost think she was epileptic. She saw images of her former master, beating her to her knees and starving her until she finally complied... Time and time again. Though briefly, a memory flashed of two kids with matching horns, and that's when she snapped back to reality. "Tch... Get out of my head, Zaffre.." She'd mumble, leaning against her anchor as another student came up. .. One that finally questioned something. "Ah. I see." Just as she did before, she'd lower he head down just a smidge... Funny enough, this student was just as tall as the other one. "I don't care, you leave them here." Straightening herself back up, it seemed she had another declaration to make because of the nature of some of the weapons... As well as a common wonder of what combat had to do with this class. "Alright! Just some clarification! I honestly don't give a **** what weapons you have with you, you gotta leave them here! Even if its some dinky stick! Why?! Because sometimes you just gotta make do with what'cha got!" Holding up her arm, she'd flex her wrist as several shark teeth emerged around her vambrace. "Example. I call these "The Nomz". Rad, right? Not the point! These little guys here were inspired by a weapon I made during the 7 years I spent living in a fighting pit below the surface of Vale. I was beaten and starved unless I won, and all I had was the clothes on my back and the teeth in my jaw. And let me say... They weren't nearly as pretty as they are now. Dental is important kids." Lowering her arm, she began shaking her head. What was the point of this? ... The pause seemed longer than it should have been. It was originally done for dramatic effect, but... She actually lost her train of thought for a moment. "Where was I? ... Right! Pit fighting! Yeah. So. The situation was a complete and utter shitshow. Trust me, if some guy named the Collector offers you candy to play with his friends, DON'T TAKE THE CANDY. IT IS NOT A GOOD TIME. I remember the first fight I won. This dude packed one HELL of a punch! I got to bite him and rip off his fancy leather, but I'm pretty sure he broke my jaw, and knocked out a TON of teeth. Dude decided to gloat and hype up the crowd, and... Well. That gave me enough time to assemble the prototype Nomz. Just poke some teeth through the leather, tie it around your hand and BAM. Asshat didn't know what hit him, aside from a fist of teeth punching through his chest. Ya see what I'm trying to say?" Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Short point was, no, they couldn't have their weapons. She didn't have her weapon when she was sold to the Collector, she didn't have a weapon when she was forced to spin nearly a third of her life in a fighting pit. Actually, maybe that name would ring a bell for some people. "The Collector," someone who was once a big name in the crime world revolving around Vale. "For me, survival was making the best of a shitty situation. For instance, here you're not gonna have your normal go to weapon. You've gotta make do with whatever you find here and have to improvise your team comp now that you're all down a member. Fight, evade, trap. I don't care how you do it as long as you survive. I'm sure some of ya are just gonna disappear until the class is over and show up with your teeth. WHATEVER. THAT'S FINE. Boring, but fine! Alright, speech over. Drop your weapon and get out of here." She had enough of them, and had enough of being 'inspirational.' If that could even count. At least she finally gave a bit more definition of why a combat course counted as survival, and that was because she learned 'survival' from that same way.
... What was this now? Ooooh. Lancer boy wanted some teeth, and she hadn't provided enough for either of them. A smirk crossed her lips as he recommended her opening her maw. Something about the concept of someone reaching into the mouth of a beast and trying to pluck out some teeth greatly amused her, it reminded her of those silly boardgames she saw in town at kids stores. Where they would take or press something, but it was a game of roulette, and eventually... One would trigger it to jump, explode, or in this case... Bite. With a wide, and frankly terrifying grin, she'd nod in compliance to Lancer. "I'm down. How about we make a game out of it, hmmm? We each need three... You've seen those silly games right? Pluck a tooth, the jaw flexes. See if you're fast or lucky enough to get them or lose a finger~ Sounds like a blast, right? Riiiight?" Honestly, she just wanted a chance to screw with the guy. Sure, she wasn't supposed to eat human. But she wasn't going to! It was an innocent game of if you mess up, you just might lose your hand! That's all there was to it. Excitedly, she'd tilt her head back and open her wicked maw... There, he would find multiple rows each lined razor-sharp, jagged shapes. The sight must've looked odd for any onlooking students that didn't quite know what was happening between the two. Thus... The games would begin.
It was odd, feeling something in her mouth that wasn't either being eaten or wasn't her own tongue. Very lightly, delicately... She'd feel his finger bouncing against her teeth, lightly tapping each tip with precision around the razor-sharp contact. Every time he touched a tooth, her jaw would react by twitching ever so slightly. ... It was a psych method, trying to intimidate and threaten to bite down and end it all. The real psych was when he finally acted and tucked a nail under her tooth, popping it out rather seamlessly and into his palm. Her jaw would do a larger twitch, both as a psych method and reaction to the teeth actually being dislodged from her jaw. Surely his hand would retract, or nearly do so at the threat of losing it. It was followed with a raspy but unfiltered laugh, choking on the sharply inhaled air. 'Oh man, this is great. Why don't I get to do this more often? ... I wanna make him piss himself.' The edges of her mouth curled more in a grin but obscured with her open maw. It began again, the bouncing and twitching ... Until he swiftly popped out the second tooth. This time, however, the moment the roots broke, her jaw would begin a much more violent twitch. As if someone flipped a switch, her jaw would suddenly snap shut. With the widest s**t-eating grin, she'd look upon Lancer with excited eyes. "Damn boi, I almost got you! You've got some pretty speedy fingers ... Come on, again, again!" Following the previous setup, she'd tilt her head back and open her maw for him to explore. ... Nothing was too different. Bouncing fingers and occasional twitching. This time though, he seemed pretty unphased compared to their previous round. Twitching got no reaction, and even the first tooth plucked was done so with ease without even a flinch at her threatening to bite him. This time, she actually slipped on her own ... She hadn't meant to bite down, but on the second tooth, her jaw suddenly snapped shut without any taunt like she had done before ... Fortunately, he seemed just as speedy and snatched the tooth away effortlessly, now with his own s**t-eating grin. "Whoops, I snapped early! Sorry, not sorry. Come on, let's go one last time. Aight? You've got 4, just two more!"
It was the last round that things would get interesting. She stopped twitching and flexing, and just let him feel around for the most opportune tooth. They had both gotten used to their patterns and were now in a tactical game. ... When to pluck, when to snap... It seemed that Lancer had a different plan up his sleeve this time. For she felt the pressure on two teeth at once, and her eyes widened in response. "No... Two at once?! That's... That's impossible!" Surely enough, he was going for it. The pressure on both teeth grew and grew until the loose roots disconnected, and the teeth themselves began to slip from their sockets. Clenching her eyes shut and her lips curling back, she felt them finally starting to leave her... This was her last chance! As both teeth came loose, her jaw would snap with no mercy, no remorse... Much akin to a bear trap, the process was almost instantaneous. Almost being the word there, as Lancer's fingers with teeth in hand seemed to effortlessly weave through her maw and emerge. It was on the last jagged tooth that it all ended, and his finger clipped her tooth... Letting a crimson drop seep into her mouth as her jaw slammed shut. ... The delectable flavor coursing through her mouth, reawakening her long slumbering taste buds with a long most desirably flavor that she had lost long ago ... Human.
There was no snarky remark this time. As her jaw slammed shut, her eyes went wide and empty as the flavor infected her tongue and salivating began. "... s**t..." Sure, the injury was only minor. Lancer had gotten off with the slightest cut on his finger but could celebrate his victory of acquiring all 6 teeth without losing a finger. ... But this game had been reckless, and Rachel didn't understand just how much she missed the taste of flesh. It was an addiction that drove her to work under her former master for years, and the last time she had tasted the forbidden meat was when she ate him herself ... Since that day, she had been clean all this time. She had to be clean, or else there was no place for her in society. All sound around her would dim to nothing but the sound of her own slow, but a powerful heartbeat. Tu-tum. Tu-tum. Each time it beat, her pupils dilated more and more. Looking around, she found herself in darkness.. Before her stood a cage, and behind it was a mirror image of herself with glowing red eyes. 'I can't.. I've been good..' Tu-tum. Tu-tum. But it tastes so good..' Tu-tum. Tu-tum. 'They'll get mad at me..' Tu-tum. Tu-tum. Surely one bite won't hurt anyone..' Tu-tum. Tu-tum. 'I'm not like that anymore..' Tu-tum. Tu-tum. 'You will never change' Conflicting words would crash together in her fragile mind, one that tried desperately to hold onto her sanity, while the other tried to ease her into letting go. In an attempt to keep herself under control, she'd grip the bars of the cage and stare directly into the eyes of herself as she started to scream. 'You don't belong here! You should've died with him!' As she screamed, she'd begin slamming her head against the bars of the cage. Over and over again, she tried to break the imagery that was in front of her. It didn't exist, she wasn't like that anymore. As she tried though, the shadow of herself wrapped its hands around hers that held the bars. 'You can't escape your true nature, no matter how hard you try to bury me.' The words resonated all while a sharp pain pierced through Rachel's hands. Mortified, Rachel looked down to several of her own teeth tearing through her hands while the shadow gripped tighter. 'You try so hard to fill the void, stuffing yourself sick... But you can't.' The bars would begin to creak and bend as the shadow of herself began to lean forward, forcing her arms apart. The shadow was a monster, an image of her former self that had developed during her captivity to endure the pain, to keep going... Without it, she wouldn't have survived. 'Embrace it. Just be empty, and let me ease the hunger...' Not a demand, but a suggestion that was greatly amplified with the taste of blood staining her tongue, burning her throat. Rachel's own strength couldn't contain the creature behind the bars any longer, and with a flex of its own strength.. The bars would snap under the pressure, and Rachel found herself staring up at a large, shadowy maw before consuming her whole.
Suddenly, her body began to jerk violently as if she was having a seizure of some sort... Though it was just her internal conflict. Her eyes flickering back and forth between cyan and crimson. She had even stumbled back off and away from him, before swiftly reaching to her side and slamming the steel-plated mask against her face. It was her last defense against herself, at least... If she had grabbed the right one. "Lancer.." She paused, the jerking and twitching stopping as her cyan eyes finally finished their transition to a bloody crimson. "You should run." Behind her mask, a wide, toothy grin grew as her insatiable bloodlust kicked in. Scales began to outline and detail her body, making her existence as an aquatic faunus everso more obvious. Rachel had never gotten the chance to take off her vambraces and guards, and now.. She wouldn't. Instead, on all four, sets of teeth would emerge to brace herself for combat. ... Then, with a duck down, and begin shifting back and forth... Her body wiggling in a means similar to a predator getting ready to strike, as came with her primal fighting style. With that, she'd kick off the ground towards Lancer. The ground would crack and cave beneath the force she kicked off with, and in that same moment, Lancer would find her ducked down by his right thigh. Her finger tucked beneath her mask as the mask sprung open and she snapped at him with her savage maw. She wasn't going to hold back on what she wanted; another bite. It seemed that the class had really begun, and Rachel was participating whether or not a team needed her.
"No" Feng said simply "Give me teeth, you keep a distance while I wander. I knock out the ones that come for me, you come and finish them off. " Feng stood up and rested her case in some shade before walking toward the testing grounds. She clearly had very little faith in the team as a whole, or at least not as much faith in them as she had in her own ability.
A curious sight befell Garret’s eyes as he was waiting in the clearing. At the mention of the students getting rid of all of their weapons, he noticed Ora too seemed to be preparing to join in. He had remembered her saying her weapon of choice was horns last they met. ‘Perhaps they were fake horns?’ He thought to himself. It may explain a bit why she was able to take down a tree and why he had only just barely held her back. However, her gaze oddly enough seemed to be on Garret as she began to remove her armor asking if he were truly ready to see what he was up against. ‘Of course I am. Nothing could stand against me in a duel. Though I am curious as to what she is referring to.’ He mused to himself, thinking maybe she had more weapons or some other bizarre thing hidden beneath it. As she takes off her arm piece first, and oddly enough raises it up next to her face, Garret realized what she was asking if he was ready for. While her face was completely unscarred, her arm was another matter. There was barely any flesh left unscarred on it. He recalled briefly of what he assumed were only mental scars from their last encounter, but perhaps she had indirectly referred to this too with him not knowing. She then asks if he was afraid and proceeds to take off the rest of her armor. That was when Garret saw the rest of her body matched her arm, and her face was the exception. He studied it for a while, wondering how she had received those wounds and survived. ‘It was either the sign of many battles, or a more cruel origin. For her to survive such things would take mental and physical fortitude many others are lacking.’ He thought to himself. To Ora, he would merely give her a nod of his head in respect…before shaking his head. “That does not frighten me.” He would simply say. He did this one, because a warrior to have survived that much at least deserved some acknowledgement. And two, because he preferred having the distance between the two, which is why he merely said it did not frighten him. ‘Lest she finally succumb to her wounds in my presence.’ He darkly thought to himself. Anyone near him tended to die, for the most part. He already had many battle veterans dead because they found his life worth more than their own. He needed no more.
It was then, as students were questioning things in desire to keep their weapons, that Rachel became unusually…motivational? Or at the least she tried to in any matter, which was apparent with her long…far too long pauses. And her getting side tracked. But none of that particularly interested Garret except for the mention of her being a pit fighter. Garret had never asked about her past. It was a quid pro quo type of thing for him, no one would ask him of his if he never asked of theirs. So to get this information freely was about the only way he could, and happening on it gave him some small insight on Rachel. She was loud, obnoxious at times, and particularly crass, but she was that despite, or perhaps because of, her past. It also enlightened that if he ever fought her, he doubted it would be like the duels he was accustomed to, both in hearing and experience.
The time finally came for her response to his request. He was not quite certain which option she would choose. Any normal person would chose to fire the weapon again but with Rachel…it was typically whatever amused her the most. His thought was justified as she grinned in an intimidating way, for most, though for Garret it only flared up his arrogant grin at the thought of it. The more frightening she would try to make it, the more he would enjoy the challenge. She accepted…but put a twist to the whole thing. She made it into a game. Challenging him to collect six teeth, three for each of them, and that he had the chance of losing a finger. Knowing how literal she was, he knew she meant it when she said he could lose a finger. But he was already fired up and committed to this. Without any hesitation, he spoke. “Challenge accepted. Perhaps I shall get a few more, to make a necklace out of to remember you by.” He would arrogantly add to show he was not fazed and thought there was no chance for him to lose any limb. With the challenge being issued and accepted with conditions, Rachel would tilt her head back and open her mouth to reveal her teeth. Though Garret had seen occasional angles of it due to her not to clean way of eating, and her nonexistent tableside mannerisms, he had never seen the full extent of her opening her mouth before. He never had a particular reason to before. Her teeth were numerous, sharp, and seemed to be in rows. His nickname of Jaws for her seemed to have held true under scrutiny. However, there were still bits of her meal wedged between some of the teeth as he suddenly regretted challenging her shortly after a meal. And, despite her lengthy speech, her mouth seemed far from dry. He had never reached a hand into someones mouth to pluck a tooth before, so he had no idea how to even imagine it would feel save perhaps being unpleasant. As he reached his left hand in tentatively, he felt the air around his hand grow warmer and far more humid. He ignored that feeling though and went about trying to pick a tooth, tapping and feeling around on a few to try to see if any were particularly loose. However, each time he did he found her jaw would twitch as she threatened to snap, and each time his hand would twitch back lightly in case he needed to retract it.
So far though, she did not seem intent to bite so he went about trying to pull one out…and after carefully positioning, unfortunately touching her wet gums in the process and wondering where he could wipe the saliva off of later, he managed to take one out. However, as he did so her mouth twitched to a much larger degree than usual, and Garrets hand had left her mouth quickly thinking she was about to snap. He did not have an amused look at Rachel’s laugh, realizing she had tricked him into pulling out early and wasn’t even going to bite. With a determined look on his face, he moved the tooth to his right hand as his left hand reached back in. He found a suitable second tooth much faster, and retracted his hand equally as fast as he noticed her twitch quickly becoming more than a twitch as she snapped her jaws around where his hand had just been. He was beginning to think she may not differentiate between a hand or a finger at this point. If he were smart, he would quit while he was ahead and had a few teeth. But he accepted the challenge under her conditions, and thus had to see it through. Her s**t eating grin as she mentioned almost getting him, and then asking him to try again only fueled Garret’s desire to best her. He did not hesitate this time as he quickly took out the next pair of teeth, not twitching or anything and in no rush to retrieve his hand before she snapped shut again. He knew what to look for from the first time, and so he felt confident he could predict it so that he would not embarrass himself in doing so. He was correct as he gave her an arrogant smirk of his own, to match the s**t eating grin she had given him. Even as she said she snapped early, sorry not sorry which was the most contradictory thing he had ever heard, and that he had one more try to get the last remaining teeth. Smirking all the while as he felt confident, he transferred the teeth now to his satchel and reached in again with his left hand. She didn’t twitch whatsoever this time, figuring out that he knew those were false alarms and that he could ignore them to a certain degree. Garret had a plan of his own though now, one that may catch her by surprise. 'If she snaps on the second tooth, and she expects me to get them one at a time…Getting them both at once may work.' He thought to himself, smiling arrogantly at his own plan. This time he carefully chose the teeth, the same method he did last time, but looking for two weak ones besides each other. It took him only a few seconds to find it as he felt the familiar thrill of adrenaline. She may react differently this time because of it, so while he felt the teeth with his hand he kept his eyes focused on her jaws for any movement. He was also trying to avoid using his semblance to keep this fair, though the victory conditions were hardly fair given he could lose a limb and she lost nothing really. It was still the principle of it in his mind, even if it wasn’t expressly banned.
He did not hesitate and went from inspecting one tooth at a time to working on two simultaneously, weakening and loosening both in harmony till they were loose enough to take. He saw her lips curl back slightly and in his peripheral her eyes clench shut. ‘Perfect.’ He thought to himself with a smile. He hadn’t even considered that the feeling of two being plucked out rather than one would cause her more discomfort that she would not be prepared for. However, once he took them out of their sockets…he noticed her jaw closing much faster than usual. Thanks to the adrenaline he had at the act, he reacted quickly enough and just barely retracted his arm so that she did not get a finger. She did, however, manage to cut one of his fingers. He did not see the drop that fell into her mouth but saw the tip of his own bleeding once it was safely out. He smiled in arrogant victory, slightly annoyed it hadn’t been a perfect operation due to the cut, but still a victory nonetheless as he put the remaining teeth in his satchel to further taunt her later. However, glowing in his victory as the high of adrenaline was slowly beginning to fade, he heard Rachel say s**t and at first thought it was because she lost. But as he looked to her, seeing her eyes widen…it wasn’t in defeat or of being surprised he won. It was more…well something different, and not in a good way. Then she began to jerk violently as her eyes seemed to be…switching from cyan to crimson as she stumbled a little away. “Rachel…?” He asked, genuinely a little concerned and worried it may be something lethal happening to her, even using her actual name rather than a nickname. He did not approach her, one because he did not know what to do, and two because in her wild jerkings he may be more of a detriment than help. He wondered what had happened though, and worried if she was alright. Then, she slammed a mask onto her face and called him by Lancer, immediately grabbing his attention.
The jerking stopped…but her eyes fully changed to a bloody crimson as she said he should run. He was temporarily confused. “Why would I-“ He would begin to say, but the question would never be finished. Rachel began to have scales appear on her body and go down to all fours, moving more like a predator than a person. In the moment she kicked off from the ground, severely damaging the ground she had just been on, it began to click in his mind. ‘She is a shark faunus, and she may have had a taste of my blood. She talked of eating others, and being a pit fighter…this may be her bloodlust.’ He thought, for once incredibly worried as she sprung towards him. It was so fast that one moment she was a safe distance away, and the next she was beside his right side, her jaw open and looking keen to bite. Eyes wide with surprise and slight panic, Lancer reflexively activated his semblance and just barely withdrew his leg from the surprise attack, jumping backwards to clear out of her way a little. ‘She may actually try eating me…or the others.’ He thought, suddenly realizing the students were in danger as well. He had to keep her attention on him. As he moved away from her, he bit into his bleeding finger a little more so that it remained free flowing. ‘If blood had triggered this, I may be able to use it to control her.’ He reasoned to himself. Not even glancing at the rest of the class he spoke rather loudly and with an authoritative tone. “The exercise has begun! Disperse while I claim my own share of teeth. None of you are to interfere in our battle. If you do, you and your team fail.” He would say, trying to disguise this up as a challenged battle. Many students were far enough away that it could be confused as such, and he knew Ora would not let him go alone if the threat were of a more serious nature. While trying to keep his distance from her, he would sprint into the nearest part of the forest to him, his enhanced speed helping him stay alive. He clenched Heir tightly in his right hand. He had always wanted to fight her, but he had not intended to use semblances or for it to be to the death as it was now. He would be zigzagging and using the trees as partial blocks so she did not have a clear line to him, trying to avoid all her attacks and keeping her far away from the rest of the class. “You didn’t tell me you were so bad at this Rachel. Had I known how slow you were, I would’ve just snatched your teeth without you noticing. What kind of predator can’t catch their prey when they have the element of surprise?” He would speak loudly, taunting her even though he believed she probably would not respond. He had to keep her interest in him. And he had to choose his terrain for the point where he eventually had to fight her.
"Finish them off with what exactly Lady Feng? Our charm?" It was spoken almost venomously. This would one of the few if not first times Daenerys would see the man actually come off as verbally displeased. This only comparing to the time he almost started a duel with the gentleman in the Cafeteria weeks if not days ago. They had no weapons, Jentel had no true hand to hand combat experience, and as for Daenerys he wasn't all that sure of her either, away from a water source. Though he caught wind of someone else on the premises who may also have an affiliation with water. Odds really weren't in their favor. They were likely the weakest team comparably by far. Placing the majority of the burden on Feng in combat already made her a target, it was foolish to entrust her with all the teeth when she would actively and willingly participating in the brunt of combat where in the teeth were most exposed.
A long winded story from the instructor would be used by Jentel to calculate the surroundings they currently had. The trees would have to suffice, as he recalled there was a river somewhere to the eastern thicket. Then the sudden excitement kicked in, Lancer and the Instructor going at each other. If that wasn't a flag that signaled go then he didn't know what was. "You're right Dae. Disperse." He kept it short. The other teams likely caught on as well that this was a signal if any to begin. Jentel seemed reluctant but he yielded the teeth to the tiny terror Feng...save for one he slid beneath his sleeve with sleight of hand. He'd entrust the majority of their teeth to Feng, the exchange between them occurring quickly enough that there wouldn't be time to analyze that one was missing before Jentel headed off into the thicket of trees. Using his agile body he'd keep to the canopy and let Feng do her thing....but as Jentel watched the Instructor from a distance a plot in his head was developing. In the mean time he may not have had any weapons but he did still carry his hand bag, and the memories it contained for a survivalist. He would begin to fashion a rope of vine, break a thinly aerodynamic looking branch, and collect the seeds that were in the process of growing. They were not much, but with aura anything can be attributed to dangerous. He would have to utilize a talent of his, he was after all a professional javelin thrower, swimmer, and fisherman. "Play to your strengths he'd say" quietly talking to himself as he was reminded of his master oncemore.

The petite young woman's attention, for now was mainly on her teammates. When the other female of her team, Ella, waved to her, she returned the wave with a kind smile. She hoped the girl would be okay, after all, there were Grimm in some parts of this forest she gathered. She was pleased to see that Remus had given the girl something for safety, it would be easier to regroup later then. Or so she hoped.
Chloris quietly observed as the other students slowly began to place their weapons and other items before the teacher. Her mossy green eyes followed Remus as he grabbed the teeth before walking to Henryk then herself, handing one to each; she nodded in thanks as she took hers. She then watched as he walked to the teacher and seemed to ask a simple question. This would soon be answered, as she figured, by a long and unnerving, yet inspiring story of her past, but it got the point across; no weapons from before Survival class. She would then sigh quietly and head over to the teacher to then place her quarterstaff by the others.
Reluctant but complying, she left her staff there before making her way to the others. It was as she was walking that she felt a small tickle in her dress pocket. Curious, she took her scroll out and read the conversation with interest before responding slowly; still not really used to the texting type."Should be good,"She sighed softly, but kept the tooth in her hand before walking over to some of the weapons they were presented with. Taking a rather tall branch/stick that seemed a few inches shorter than herself but sturdy before rejoining the boys."I don't know about shine, but I'll try my best. Please, lead the the way to the trees you feel are best."In reading Henryk's response, she pondered quietly then shook her head."So far on the way here I didn't see anything of particular interest...I just need a location that will give us the entrapment and can be easily guarded when and if one of us needs to rest...semblance-wise,"She added the last bit before sending and placing her scroll in her pocket since she was beside the boys now and would leave with them to find their perfect spot.

of course Feng would disagree with Jentel's plan. She had feared as much, expected it. The tiny terror that was their captain didn'thave much faith in her team, if any at all. Dani could fully understand why Feng had no trust in her, because how could one have confidence in a person who held no confidence in themselves? All for good reason. While Daenerys may have been a force to be reckoned with near the water or even with her scythe, without the two she was practically useless. She had no real physical strength. The girl was dainty to the point she looked fragile. An elegant and willowy form, but a so petite she looked as if someone could have easily snapped her right I half if they wished. She was quick, but also clumsy, constantly tripping over her own feet. The only time that changed was when she was in the water. That was the only time she was leased with any sort of grace, and it was a beautiful sight to be seen. However, that required a water source and the hope they didn't run into anyone with a semblance rivaling her own. Still, while Dani could understand Feng being wary of her own weakness, she didn't understand why she thought so ill of Jentel. While his semblance may not have been particularly strong in means of combat, he was smart and resourceful. It was exactly what they needed in a situation where the odds were stacked so highly against them. Ulysses was surely their strongest member, but she was long gone at this point.
Jentel's venomous reply surprised Dani. He wasn't usually one to speak out against others in such harsh tones, least of all their captain. The closest she had ever heard would have been the day he'd nearly gotten into a duel with the boy in the cafeteria, and Dani hadn'texactly witnessed that event first hand. Not to mention Jentel had no real recollections the scenario, seeing as he had destroyed the memory just before coming to speak with her. Even so, he didn'tseem anymore willing to argue the subject then Daenerys was. He had a good point but she doubted Feng would listen to it. Dani was far too timid to be much of a charmer, and even so, she doubted anyone here would fall for such tricks. Not when their grade was on the line. The best she could hope for was that whatever team they came in contact with thought to take it easy on her. Once again, that was wishful thinking. Despite his unwillfullness to argue, violet eyes didn'tmiss him slipping one of the teeth under his sleeve. Possibly they could get lucky and go unnoticed as they planned. If that were the case, they would still have one tooth left in the end.
Daenerys didn't hesitate when Jentel spoke to her, agreeing that they should disperse. With the battle that was breaking out between the lancer and their teacher, Dani was a bit antsy to get out of the way. So many pointy teeth... it would be easy to accidentally get caught in the crossfire and the little faunus would have never considered interfering. What good would she do anyway? She would last all of two seconds before falling tragically to a rather gorey fate. She stuck close to Jentel's side as they maneuvered through the trees, but gave him enough space to go on with the tasks at hand. An observant amethyst gaze followed his every movements as he collected supplies from the wilderness itself and crafted it all into something workable. Resourceful as ever, but she wouldnt have thought any less. When he told her to play to her strengths, she very nearly retorted with a simple 'what strengths?' But snapped her mouth closed before the words could break free. Sighing softly she simply nodded, turning her gaze outwards, looking for something useful. Anything. "I'll do my best." She agreed quietly after a moment, and that she would. Fragile maybe, but determined not to be completely useless for the sake of her team.
Observing Jentel's own motions, she fashioned her own makeshift rope of vine. Nimble fingers moved deliberately, but the action took her much longer than it had Jentel. A lack of experience. She had to start over several times, but eventually managed a suitable rope, matching the length on her chain scythe. She knew she wouldn't be able to find anything near similar to the blades on her scythe out her, but with her aura it was possible she could at least land a suitable blunt hit. Surely it was better than nothing. With the rope fashioned, she looked around once more, eventually coming across a large tree limb that had fallen. The bark was rather rough and the limb had several smaller twigs branching off. If she snapped it in two she could fasten one to each side of the vine. She couldn'timagine it would feel pleasant to be smacked with. Placing one dainty foot in the center of it while grabbing the other end with both of her hands. She tugged once, twice, a third time... and nothing. The wood creaked slightly but no real damage had been done. Letting out a small huff of air, she looked to Jentel, her cheeks warming slightly.

A basic plan was established and they were ready to go. Remus looked over to the teachers once more when the guy with the spears called out that the games were beginning. He also forbid the students from getting involved with his spar with Rachel over getting his teeth for the game. Henryk told him to lead the way since he was cool with the idea and had gathered what he needed. Chloris and him had to leave behind the weapons they brought so all he had was the quivers. He would need to keep an eye open for useful bits that Chloris could renovate for their use. The team that has the short girl that had yelled out for silence the moment she arrived much like what you would expect of a coworker stumbling in 3 minutes late for their shift with a killer hangover was already moving off into the trees. Remus followed suit, taking point for team HARE.
The first thing he did after the trees had obscured their vision of the clearing and the others was to pop open the pouch of his multi-tool. He shoved the tooth he would be carrying deep down into the back of the pouch behind the multi-tool. As he pushed his fingers against the flap until the button that holds it down clicked shut is aura began to rise up. Clinging to the ground and swirling about their feet like they were walking through some kind of unnatural glowing blue mist. Three song birds rose up on silent wings and darted off ahead of their group while another set of three small animals did the same. All looked like rabbits and they vanished into the undergrowth just as quickly as the birds had vanished among the trunks. Last two spectral wolves manifested at their flanks, one beside Henryk and another trotting beside Chloris. "Don't wander off now. It wouldn't be good for us to get separated now." He commented. The wolves seemed to be watching and listening to their surroundings mostly, but they were also giving the other two a means to not get separated. Particularly Chloris, since she had accidentally wandered off once in these woods today already.
Once he had his scouts out Remus set a quick pace. Even though they were moving quick the path was remarkably easy. It seemed to turn at the most opportune moments to avoid forcing the group to go over any terrain that was rougher than was absolutely necessary. Every so often one of the wolves would slink off into the trees and return dragging along a stick. That ended once Remus had four tucked under his arm of various lengths and thickness. "Ah! They found it. This way." He comments before he took off into a run
They would need to run for about four minutes to find what he was talking about. Remus came to a stop before a wall of brush. Tangle brier vines loaded with thorns. This plant had been here for a very long time as the wall of nastiness ranged in height from four feet to seven in places. From within it one of the rabbits he had sent out before squeezed out and hopped over to his foot. Remus stepped back with his left foot to turn his body ninety degrees tot eh left as he looked back at the others. "Here we are. Well almost. If you could be so kind, Chloris. There are a number of trees growing out of this thing, but we only care about the five growing in the clearing nestled near its center. It's choked out most of the new growth of trees so growing over it in the tree tops is possible here and there but if you can open up a path it would be much faster. Once we are inside we can get a defense set up, also I'd like it if you could try and turn these limbs into weapons we could use. The short one in particular is really springy and green still. So if you could make a bow out of it with your power that would be perfect." Since from this point on they needed Chloris to handle getting them to where they were going he moved back and let her take point.

Feng whirled on Jentel and pulled him down to her level by the front of his shirt. With rapid snapping movements she tapped her fingers to various parts of his body. "Eyes, liver, diaphragm , pancreas, trachea. Vulnerable areas , weakest spots guarded the most." She suddenly brought her thumb up to his eye from between his arm and chest and gently pressed against it "Even small pressure" she pulled away letting him see the blur and color distortion effect it had on the single eye "Cause problem can be exploited." She pinched the sides of his adam's apple in her small but steely fingers "Grip here, pull, make choke but hard to do. Strike side of hand or open hand right front and you make choke, not need hard but just fast. Choke much and hard."
With a sigh she released her grip on Jentel's shirt and rapidly struck out with the tips of her fingers at his liver then diaphragm, just hard enough to display the effectiveness of what she meant. "Hand, fist , foot and knee, good strikes here, hard to breathe, hit with bottom of palm or first two knuckle for good hit. Understand?" she suddenly snuck a leg behind Jente'ls and pushed him over it while hooking her own back, sending him tumbling to the forest floor before suddenly hopping onto his chest and looking down at him. "Not hard fight mask boy." the mini musician smirked at him "Need strength yes, but even no training not mean you can't fight. You listen to Fēngniǎo and she teach how to be good fighter, if she do without weapon you do to, you much bigger than she." Fēngniǎo Hopped off of Jentel's chest , opting instead to march over to Daenerys and pull her away from what she was working on. "You" she felt the pinkette's arm and frowned "Not much strength here.Strength here" she reached up and tapped her finger in the center of the girl's chest before placing a hand on her hip "And here" To emphasize her point Feng pushed on Dani's pelvis, giving it a guiding nudge to show her how to twist and pivot her standing leg. "Not much muscle, that okay" she guided the girl with her hands "You clumsy and jiggle like jelly, not need strong step all time. Feng learn from cousin how she small, but hit sharp and fast, you, you not strong but watery" the tiny captain took a step back and made a wave motion with her hand "Feng move fast and sharp like bird, she quick. You move smooth and over, you like water, hit like water. Hit here, here and here" she tapped her temple , the side of her neck and the space around the back and side of her knee "Move when hit, move with hit, hit not hurt so much. Take move with hit and move around, then hit back. Momentum, move like water jelly girl" She gave Dani a quick look up and down before sighing and walking over to pick up a particularly sturdy looking stick and began to grind it against a nearby stone, sharpening one end into a flat spear end. "I teach make weapon and trap. Set many at home, need to ....others come for Feng...not like her and she not fight good because she smaller."
