#15. What popular fall festival activity did the Romans bring to Britain when they invaded? Ummm, IDK, Saturnalia? The Late Autumn Holiday of Christmas would look very different had the Romans not brought Saturnalia to Britain. It is from that we derive a good bit of our Yuletide and Christian Christmas customs.. I mean, there was a Roman Holiday "Ludi Victoriae Sullae" (October 26 - November 1), but I doubt that is what you're talking about. http://histmyst.org/festivals.html

#16. The word Halloween is a contraction of what Christian holiday? Oops! Already answered! All Hallow's is an older term for all Saint's Day which is Celebrated on Nov. 1st. The Eve, or evening of that day was called All Hallow's 'een, or eve which is short form for All Hallow's evening". Shortened, it was termed, Hallows'een, further shortened: Halloween.

#18. In what two countries was “guising”, the tradition of dressing up in costumes, and going door for food or coins for Halloween most popular? IDK, Scotland and England? In Scotland Guy Fawkes day/night (Nov. 5th) is celebrated by children going from door to door soliciting, "A Penny for The Guy?". So I guess Scotland. Since Northern England was once part of Scotland I'm guessing the other country is England, at least the far north of it.
