I don't.
I put a "when submitting your request to join please say WHY you want to join" notice on the home page. Do many listen? No. And about once a week or every two weeks I go through the member list and delete inactive members. Not only that, but I ban users who disrespect others or contribute nothing but BS to the Guild.
I'm a harsh Co-Captain, but it keeps this place clean.

I wish people would put themselves in Raoul's shoes for once (in the rescuing Christine scenes)

I mean he was stuck unarmed behind the portcullis trying to save Christine. If I was in that situation I don't think there was anything else more one could do than plead or bargain. "Do what you like" essentially he is offering his life for hers. He keeps telling her to leave and let him sacrafice his life for her! Very few actions are braver than that. My dad said he should have armed himself. It was in the middle of a show that she was taken, and no one expected the Phantom to be on the frickin stage! >.<;;;

Well if he hadn't been there Daroga would have died most likely (as Erik said no one cared he was in the torture chamber). Some may say Daroga never would never have been there if it wasn't for Raoul, well he might have gone anyways to try to talk some damned sense into Erik... like that's possible.
Also Raoul knew nothing of the way Erik's mind worked while Daroga did, so obviously he had to lead and take control. For all Raoul knew Daroga could have been an accomplice or something out to kill him. o_o;;

I don't post here as often as I'd like, so I've been rereading the last few pages. It amazes me, no matter how many of the diehard book fans I've talked too (myself included) every single one of them knows all the words to the musical, broadway and film half the time. Whether we love it or hate it, we can not resist Erik in any form.
I've personally been on a bit of a hunt for all the film versions. Just recently picked up the Robert England 80's horror version. It's a crap telling of the story, but I love it none-the-less.
Anyway, the reason I bring this up is that aside from the 1920 film version, Raoul is always treated terribly in film adaptations. Hell, several rename him or resculpt the role.
One thing that I'd really like to see in a film version is Raoul handled properly.
As for the ALW film version, the thing that bugs me above all about it is that they cut out a lot of Raoul's great musical moments. For instance, his singing in "Wandering Child"

Well I'm totally going to show Raoul in a good light.
And I love love love the Robert Englund PotO as it's own entity. Hooray for bad horror films! ^-^ But seriously Richard made me want to cry in that film. He was just,,, ugh.... a) he was ugly, b) he had none of Raoul's good qualities, c) he got killed. That's one thing Raoul was good at was not getting killed.

Everytime we get close to a breakthrough, she reverts to her her Erik love and WON'T SEE REASON. I almost want to be frusturated with Erik. Erik, you've closed the mind of many a phan! And yet...I still love you. crying ...... I still don't see were MURDERER, DERANGED PHYCO , AND POSSESIVE-NESS would turn fans on.... but somehow.... we all want to rape erik xd JK
