 ~ Chi-Chi ~ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬Codename: Oni ▬▬Team: Omega ▬▬Form: Human ▬▬Location: Omega Side, with Cam and Roland ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Just after taking out one of the turrets on her end, Chi-Chi felt the seismic blasts from a few others nearby, as Aftershock and the others were already making quick work of them. She barely dodged out of the way as the turrets blew up, tumbling far enough to avoid any flying metal scraps. She had to remember she was not just fighting on her own anymore, but alongside others. Not only that, but others who were also just as gifted, and more capable of dealing heavier damage than her. She was so used to fighting just for herself, by herself. Fighting as a team was challenging enough for her, but then adding all of the different abilities to keep track of in order to not get caught up added even more to the challenge.
She picked herself up off the ground, dusting herself off. There were enough people capable of destroying big things in their own ways. Some were just more explosive than others, and more effective. For now, it was best to join back in with the rest of the omegas to help with the push. As she made her way across the field, though, she heard Aero and Roland requesting aid with a few of the soldiers and turrets over the comm link, “Hold on! I’m on my way!”
Chi-Chi quickly made her way from her side of the battlefield, dashing as fast as humanly possible. She could warp over quicker, but she could end up landing in bad spots if she wasn't careful about surveying her own surroundings. From what she could see Aero was pinned down, hiding behind what was barely much cover, firing shots at a few of the bots as a turret laid waste to where he sat. Roland and Farren were offering assistance, taking out some of the soldier bots with strong enough hits.
Over the comm, Roland called out for possibly using grenades to help out, and her eyes lit up with a brilliant idea. A brilliant, but very dangerous idea.
On her way over, she quickly warped to the jet, picking up a belt of grenades and hastily attached it around her hips. She had only tried things like this once or twice in the simulations, but the few times she had practiced it, her timing was off and she ended up nearly blowing herself up. But this was real, and there was no time for mistakes. She warped in little jumps, putting away her gun and throwing it around her shoulder, focusing entirely on the destination as she pushed forward. Through the gunfire and dust of battle, she could see Roland using a makeshift bot-shield to draw turret fire away from Aero, but it was only a matter of time before the turret’s bullets would tear that apart, leaving him open. She'd have to act fast.
She called out over the comm to them, “I’m coming in quick, so get ready to cover this thing in oxygen when I call it." Aero's abilities were still partially a mystery to her, but if they could make the blast stronger, it would help. The next few steps would take only a matter of seconds, and they needed to be ready.
Taking a deep breath, her eyes turned black as night, locked on to the area behind the turret, as her body dissapeared into a wisp of smoke. She reappeared behind it, giving it a swift kick to grab its attention. She then pulled the pin on one of the grenades, shoving it into an opening in the workings, then yelled, “Bubble it! Now!”
She got out of there as quick as she could. In another puff of smoke, she appeared beside Cameron's cover, dashing behind it and sliding in beside him, yelling to the others, "Guys! Take cover!!" She wasn't sure how big the blast would be with his abilities added to it, but she hoped it would be a big enough blast to destroy it. Even though it was risky, if that technique could work on the small stuff, it might work on the big ones too. Though as she looked down at the belt, there were only a few grenades left, and they still had yet to get inside.
As soon as it was taken care of, she pulled her rifle back out and pulled down her mask, checking over the trio with the same expression as a worried mother. “Are you guys okay? Anyone get shot?" Some mutants were able to withstand a few bullets now and then, but most of them were still human.
“That seemed to work well enough for now. We need to find a way to push inside past these things, but if there’s bigger one’s ahead, we have to be careful.” As if on cue, Blake told everyone what was on the other side of that wall. Her heart dropped into her stomach, but she tried to hide her dread behind stoic eyes. Just on the other side of that wall, there were lots of big sentinels, just waiting and ready to rain hell on the first mutant that steps within their line of sight. It would be a bloodbath if they rushed in. And if that already was not enough, there were probably dozens of smaller soldiers and bots just waiting inside those doors. She prayed the Alphas were having an easier time getting inside than they were.
She reached up and called out to Blake over the comm link, “Did you see any other ways to get in? Maybe a window or anything? Even if we can just get the front door opened a little, I can try to get a good enough view to teleport inside and find a way to shut down some of these defenses.” That seemed better than her other plan. She was not a front-line fighter. Running head on into one of those Sentinels would turn her into minced-meat. Climbing up the side of the building to get to the roof for access might work, but if she were spotted, they would rain gunfire on her without any defenses. And even if she made it to the top, it would take longer for her to reach any kind of level with some kind of controls on it.
As she tried to think of a plan, her eyes caught sight of something... bizarre. Off in the distance, and approaching fast, was some sort of phallic sculpture... riding a skateboard. It was riding a freaking skateboard! It was almost too much to comprehend, as she tried to maintain a straight face while watching it, though her jaw was unhinged in pure shock. She had only heard of a few of the trickster's jinxes, but this was almost too cartoony to believe. It rode around and jumped in the air, and she barely had a moment to shout a warning, "Roland! Watch out!!"

Daylia had been quiet their entire flight, her eyes closed. Some may have mistaken it for sleeping, sadly it wasn’t. She was trying to combat the war going on in her stomach. Man she was never eating anything she and Gracie cooked up ever again.
The minute they landed her tummy flipped, gurgling loudly. She clutched at it, an ‘uh oh’ look taking over her features. As the others headed towards the exit of the plane she headed towards the bathroom, grateful that they had them abroad.
She had no idea how much time she wasted in the bathroom when she heard Aren’s voice over her com, claiming to need the use of her skills. This was one of the reasons she hadn’t decided to stay behind, just in case someone actually needed her gifts. She groaned, deciding not to answer the size shifter until she was finished, lest he hear her bathroom woes in the background.
A knock sounded at the door minutes later. Thankfully she was finished and in the midst of washing her hands. She rolled her eyes at the man on the other side. "Yeah I got the message, sorry I was too busy wiping my a** to respond." She said, sarcasm dripping from her words.
While she knew there was urgency in what they were doing, she couldn’t avoid the call of nature. Well, unless she wanted to s**t herself in battle, and god would that have been humiliating. No one would have let her live it down. As it stood, she probably wouldn’t live down actually making it to the bathroom.
She didn’t bother to dry her hands as she unlocked the door to step out. "Any idea what they’re made of?" She asked as she wiggled her arm in an attempt to make her uniform appear. "I mean, I’m pretty confident I can walk through just about anything, but given what this place is for..." She said trailing off, figuring he would understand what she meant.
Her uniform appeared, masking her face with a replica of her namesake. The eyes of the mask looked like they were going in two different directions, making the creature she emulated look derpy. She loved it, and giggled any time she caught sight of her reflection when it was on.
Content for the moment she moved alongside Aren to the exit of the plane. Hopefully, she could get through all this without needed to use the facilities again. On the ground she paused, remembering his earlier words. Her eyes scanned their surroundings as she continued. "Oh, okay so what was this monumen..." Her jaw popped open as she caught sight of what she assumed Aren had been talking about. "tal d**k?"
She looked from the moving statue to Aren then back again. "She did that?" She said, now pointing to the erection. "Are you fuc-oh my god." She said, her head tilting back. She lifted her com and changing to Gracie’s channel. "Girl, we need to have a conversation when we’re done here. This is not PG13."
If she hadn’t been wearing her mask, she would have facepalmed.
Aren took the lead as the pair picked up the pace, moving to where he had seen the prisoner. She wanted to ask more questions about the situation, but there would really be no point. It was obvious he didn’t know the person, else he would have mentioned a name.
She followed him into the building, keeping close through every turn. It wasn’t too dark, but it was dark enough that she didn’t want to get separated. They happened upon the cell, and Daylia couldn’t help but frown.
The conditions were terrible, that was evident enough from the poor woman's looks. "Why do they feel the need to treat us like animals." Anger laced her lowly spoken words. No one deserved to be treated like that.
Soon enough confusion crossed her face as she caught sight of a famously known bag. "Doritos?" She asked, slightly taken aback. She turned to Aren. "You gave her doritos?" He had to be the reason she had them. "Where the hell did you get doritos from?" Did he just carry an emergency stash with him? If that was the case, she needed to stick closer to him from now on.
Shaking her head she turned back to the bars that kept their new friend confined. She held up her right hand and flexed it a few times before attempting to activate her powers. She couldn’t see anything abnormal about the cell, but that didn’t mean they were not mutant proof. Taking a deep breath she jammed her hand through the bar and held it there for a moment before shaking her arm all about.
Satisfied with the test she stepped through. "Okay then, looks like we’re good." She said once on the other side. "Uh, hey there, I’m the Chameleon, I’m gonna help you get out of here. You okay to move?" She asked, offering their new companion her hand.

Location: Jet then the holding cells. Thinking: Whatever you do, don't s**t yourself. With: Aren and uh...

When she had come to the academy to better her skills with her mutation, the would-be ballerina never expected that she would face war, never imagined that the line between life and death would be so close. Chewing nervously on her hair, she sucked in a deep breath, closing sapphire orbs from the world as she tried in vain to tell herself that it was going to be okay. Her arm slipped, knocking ever so slightly into Lachlan, but it was still enough to jar him. Quick to apologize, her expression remained meek as she nodded in response to his question. “Always.” She admitted quietly, knowing it must sound so stupid for someone with her abilities to be frantic with fear. “But this is your first time in the field, right?” Reaching for a reassuring smile, her expression lightened considerably. “I know it doesn’t sound all that convincing from me considering I probably look crazy, but it’s not so bad. And from what I’ve seen in the training sessions, you’ll do great.”
Glancing out of the small window, she released a sigh. “We actually could have used someone with your abilities last time we were out on the field.” That had been a disaster in and of itself, and working with S.H.I.E.L.D. after they had attacked them left her less than trusting.
Bella gave a pep-talk as the jet descended, but like Lachlan, it offered little comfort to the blond. In a swift motion, her dainty mask materialized to conceal her haunting features, leaving the bottom of her face uncovered. Rising to her feet, her breaths became hollow as the ramp lowered and she realized that this would never be easy. Alex requested to stay with her, and while she nodded, she was once again touched that someone had confidence in her. Or rather, her mutation. Citing Alex’s various abilities, she smiled as she assured the little French girl that they would need her just as much. “I do too.” She said quietly, a knot forming in her stomach.
War always had casualties.
Mentioning her contacts, Aurelie let out a small laugh and nodded. “Yeah… I’m a bit near-sighted, and I don’t think I look all that cute in clunky glasses.” She admitted, letting just a touch of vanity show. “Actually, I look like an outright nerd, because I still have the frames from when I lived in Indiana.” Crinkling her nose, her expression made it very clear what she thought of them.
“I’m sure it won’t even notice.” She joked in regards to her nervous hair-chewing tendencies. She got quiet when she mentioned the bomb at the mall, her lips curving ever so slightly when Alex offered to listen if she ever needed an ear. “I appreciate it…” But she would probably not take the girl up on it; she didn’t want or need another person telling her that those deaths weren’t her fault.
They had fallen right into Mystique’s trap, yes. But had she not stopped the explosion with her telekinetic shields, those people wouldn’t have suffered. More could have been saved if they hadn’t been so intent on keeping her alive.
Dimitri’s remarks lifted them from the sobering conversation, and everyone involved seemed to agree that the one nice thing about their mission, was that they finally got to feel the real sun again. He started talking about killing, and Aurelie chose to ignore the ease he could talk about it, choosing instead to hone in on his “Master Play-Doh” remark. He explained, and she nodded, a small laugh accompanying it to conceal the fact that she didn’t quite get it yet. “Sounds fair.”
She slowly made her way down the ramp, instantly frustrated with how quickly they were being shot at. Alex directed her shields, and Aurelie obliged until the sound of metal twisting pulled her focus toward one of the newer members of their team. Even though they were only facing little robots and turrets right now, she worried about Wraith going off on his own. He said something in Latin that she didn’t follow, and the blond merely shook her head as he Leroy Jenkinsed into the robots. “He’s going to run out of power before we even reach the big ones.” She murmured worriedly, unsure on how to even respond. “Should I ask him to speak English so we actually know what he’s saying? She asked no one in particular, wondering if the phrase was that important to be said twice. The distraction of the new kid playing hero on his own caused her to be a little too slow to Finn’s request, and a few of the bullets barraged into his back before she could stop all of them.
“Sorry I wasn’t a little quicker on the uptake.” She apologized to Kraken via her comm, ignoring each hit her shields took for him even as she said it. As soon as Storm’s fog provided them a little more cover, Aurelie released two of her shields, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to continue to keep all of them up at once and still make it out of the other side of this fight. Dimitri’s construct was far more impressive than anything she had seen from him before, and she grinned. “Master Play-Doh. Now I get it.” The telekinetic started to relax, but the brevity of the moment ended much too soon when Alex alerted her to something coming their way. Lachlan did a nose dive in front of them, using himself as a shield for them. She picked up her own invisible force fields, throwing them up around the strong man as Alex asked if he’d be alright. Bending down next to him, sapphire eyes laced with concern.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry.” She said, now understanding why Bella usually had her go first… Even though Kat didn’t like it… she was the best prepared to face an onslaught of fire. Playboy and Tsunami’s transmissions reached her then, and she sighed. “Unsure. Rectify took a solid hit.” She said, wincing in empathy. They were barely off the ramp, and two of their boys had taken the brunt of a bullet.
Siege, Jedi and Wraith seemed to conglomerate, with Gabriel stating that they were headed inside. A part of her sagged in relief that Alex wouldn’t be by himself… last time Gabe had found himself alone on the field, he’d nearly bled out. None of the Alphas were soon to forget the importance of teamwork after that catastrophe.
”Halt. Mutant.”
Even from outside, the bass voice rattled within her bones.
“Damage detected. Mutant apprehension in progress.” Her insides trembled, and she closed her eyes in an effort to settle her nerves. “Sounds like we’ve got trouble.” She whispered, glaring up at the facility. “Rectify… if you’re alright… we should probably move.”

XX【 】 Name: Alexander "Lex" Magnus XX【 】 Codename: Wraith XX【 】 Team Affiliation: Alpha XX【 】 Location: Sentinel Outpost XX【 】 With: Siege, Jedi, Playboy XX【 】 Actions: Saved from Sentinel, moved into facility, created some dappled cover for team, examined surroundings Wraith had nowhere to go. Out in the open, he had no shelter. The blast was about to go off, and he could not go from a standstill to any form of momentum in time to avoid the blast. Having seen one go off previously, he knew the luminescence of the blast would negate any kind of strength he could put into a construct. Simply put, he couldn’t dodge, parry, or block. He was screwed. Looking into what was undoubtedly going to hurt like hell, he refused to blink. He’d at least be able to face his fate head-on. Only he didn’t have to. The Sentinel lowered its right hand as the left was charged and the instant before firing a miracle happened. A mass of heat like nothing Wraith had ever felt before blazed in and slammed into the wrist of his aggressor. The sentinel tried to fire, but the energy only combined with the heat-blast and utterly destroyed the hand that held the operational weapon. A hail of heat and metallic shards rained down at the robot’s feet, and around Wraith. He didn’t have time to consider his good fortune as the sentinel looked at its wrist quizzically. “Damage Registered.” Such were the last words it would ever utter. The automaton turned to look in the direction the heat blast came from only to receive a follow-up blast. A superheated attack enveloped the head and face of the towering robot, nullifying any ability it had to speak or offer verbal analysis. Through it all, the sound of shattering material could be faintly heard as Wraith rose from his prone position. The sentinel now had a broken emitter, a shattered arm, and a melting head. It was no danger to anybody. Through his comms, he heard ‘Playboy, Jedi, and Siege’ being identified as going in the building. Wraith was not pleased. He was being excluded?! The group titles were repeated a moment later by another voice he did not recognize. It was as if the two that were not familiar with him had no time for the shadow manipulator, and that stung his pride hard.
As that thought registered and the rage began to build, he saw several now-familiar shots rip and tear through the lumbering giant. Siege was finishing off the job. Wraith turned with his eyes scanning for the group. Here he was vindicated in his own mind. Siege was waving to him, urging to get moving as a group. A friendly cry that there were bigger targets to take on was quickly followed by another mention on the comms. The one that he knew from a couple chance meetings was there including him. Wraith was mentioned first- and perhaps that was by design. Perhaps not. Either way, it put a more determined push into the young man’s step as well as a stony look of aggression on his face. Not against his friend by any means. No, he was encouraged and ready to move on. Wraith began to jog to catch up to his companion and only smiled at the reunion. His mask covered his face from the cheekbones down, but his eyes showed enough facial expression to tell his gratitude. “Thank you, friend.” The phrase carried a lot of weight for him, even if it was short. He didn’t bother to add a fourth confirmation to the comms. Why bother? They knew that four were there and moving inside. That was enough.
Once inside, he was able to start getting the lay of the land. It was mechanical, artificial, and still designed for human-sized occupants. On the other hand, there was enough room for the larger units to move about freely. Siege took a leadership role and began to move them toward a possible goal. Wraith on the other hand got intensely quiet. This entire place needed razed. While his goal was nothing less than the rescue of his people, he also knew that the secondary goal was the complete annihilation of this facility. Jedi, Playboy, and even Siege can do as they need. Wraith was looking for load-bearing beams. He analyzed the structure and tried to think about the intelligence that spawned it. This was not so much an artificial intelligence as a developmental one. They advanced as needed when needed. More than likely, they had not looked into deceptive architecture. It was utilitarian- enough to hold up the roof with a margin of error in weight bearing. Gravity itself was their greatest ally. He looked at everything. Taking the last position, he let the other three take point. Still . . . it would be inconvenient for the Sentinels to find them.
As much as he wanted to be a powerhouse, Wraith’s talents truly shine when dealing with camouflage. “Let’s hope they don’t bother with infrared.” He worked his abilities in a far less intense way. Making shadows solid took a lot of concentration and effort. However, simply dappling the light around the four of them was by far easier. He only needed to push a small amount of energy into the ability. Insubstantial shadows were like carrying a small novel. Barely noticeable and easy to keep going. As long as the other three stayed within a few paces of him, being noticed was far less likely. All around them, it was busy and active as both machines below worked on creating an ever-growing army of killers. Towering full-sized sentinels were guarding the assembly line, though only a few. Most of the facility was being run by human sized ones. Even that was beginning to thin as the assault was heating up on both sides of the facility outside. Wraith was not going to count on backup. Reaching into one of his many pockets, he pulled out a small thin flask. Designed for alcohol drinkers to have quick access, Wraith just had some water in there. Something to wet his whistle after so much hard work to get here. It was at this point he wished he had invested more into noise reducing. His suit was not clinking metal, but the fact remained that their footsteps were loud enough to cause a problem. The shadows made them harder to see- not hear. He shook his head at the thought. The shadows would only help a little bit anyway. In any properly lit area down in major areas his attempts would be negated by bright light anyway. Opportunities for stealth were not plentiful and the issues were only going to be more deadly as they progressed. As they moved down corridors and followed Siege’s lead he couldn’t help but wonder if they would find the prisoner cells.

  “Hello?”
It could have been the most hopeful sound that she could have ever heard in her entire life. It could have been the words of God speaking to her as if this was the end to her suffering. And it was. Just not the words of the Angel of Death, but of a savior. Flashing red lights highlighted a face that had come close to her cell.
The next question almost went unheard as she looked at the most beautiful thing she had seen in this place in months, or years. She didn’t know how long she had been here now. “It’s not really a choice,” her voice was weak from exhaustion. It was rough from the lack of food and water that she was given. She had been slowly moving toward the edges of the bars, getting closer until he told her to stand back. She shuffled back in a clumsy crab walk before huddling herself down in the corner of the cell.
She covered her face when there was a small explosion, sending smoke and dust into the air. She coughed, her throat scratchy from the abrasive oxygen that had filled her cell. She wiped her hand in front of her face to try to clear the smoke. When she looked up, he was standing inside of her cell and her heart leaped with hope.
He reached behind him to pull out a bag of chips and handed them to her. She blinked and took it slowly, careful not to touch his skin. “Wait.” Her eyes were wide with panic, and then he was gone, appearing on the other side of the bars again. She got up as fast as she could and moved to the bars. “Wait!” She called out to him, reaching out of the bars in desperation but he was already gone.
She shrunk back into her cell, slowly taking the bag of chips and curling up on her hard mattress. She opened the bag with her teeth and slowly started eating the chips. They were dry, but they definitely tasted better than the combination of muck and vitamins that had been keeping her barely alive.
She looked up when she heard voices again. She stretched her head, trying to find the source in the blinking red lights. She chewed on her lip when a woman and the man from before came into view. She was still eating, trying to take her time with the chips without wanting to waste them since she didn’t know how long it was going to take for him to come back with whoever he had said was going to help.
She watched as the woman reached through the bars of the cell. Not just between them, but threw them. She blinked and looked again as she started waving her arm around. Once it seemed like the female was satisfied with her test result, she stepped through the bars as if they weren’t even a problem at all. Luci suddenly felt envious. She wished she had such an ability, to be able to pass through objects like that.
Suddenly, there was a hand reaching toward her and Luci looked at it as if she didn’t recognize the gesture. “I can’t…” She looked at the woman before glancing over her shoulder at the man behind her. “I can’t touch skin to skin… I could hurt you… or worse.”

Rectify Alpha-side || OOC: Sorry if I missed anything, just yell at me if I did. I've been skimming and am just trying to hammer out a post while on vacation so we can keep the story going! I'll happily edit if need be. ||
Hearing Aurelie's reassurance that she had faith in his abilities based on what she'd seen in the simulations humbled the already modest farm boy. It was nice to know that at the very least, she was nice enough to try and make him feel better. The fact she had paid attention to or even noticed him in simulations had also come as a pleasant surprise, given her critique. Lachlan couldn't say he'd expected a senior alpha as seasoned as Aurelie was to take notice of him. Maybe there was some hope for him.
A gentle smile touched the super strong mutant's features as he took his turn to reassure Aurelie, "It actually means a lot more than you probably realize, especially coming from someone of your stature. You don't look crazy at all. I feel like the grade 2 kid getting a compliment from the grade 6 kid. A welcomed confidence booster before being thrown into the fray is maybe the best way to put it?"
"I had heard a few things here and there that have seemed to elude to that conclusion. I'll do my best to try and fill that former void." The last thing he wanted to do was let anyone down but knowing what had happened to Bella in his absence on top of Aurelie now verbally acknowledging that his abilities had been missed on prior missions just made him feel guilty as well as pressured to perform to full capacity. He knew it hadn't been the former ballerina's intention, nor did she seem like the person who would expect the world of him but all the same, the fact he knew she'd kept an eye on him in simulations and had bothered to mention they could have used his abilities on their previous mission only served to make him feel he did have to live up to expectations.
The moment the alphas dropped off the plane, most seemed to naturally gravitate toward helping one another, one exception seeming to be one of the newer mutants he recalled as Wraith. Lachlan, unlike most who had dove into the action, had remained on the sidelines temporarily, deciding to opt for waiting to offer assistance to any fellow alpha that happened to require it. Initially the solo Wraith had been his concern but before he'd had the chance to accompany the lone alpha, the super strong mutant had spotted trouble elsewhere in the form of a sentinel blast heading toward both Aurelie and Alex after they'd been assisting Finn.
While the cover of the fog, provided by Storm and Marcel was certainly appreciated as far as cover, it was too little too late when it came to the sentinel that had locked onto both Aurelie and Alex. Lachlan had thrown himself in front of the two in order to shield them from the blast, taking a direct hit from one of the energy blasts before being staggering backwards with a loud gasp from the force of the blast.
There had been a brief page over the comms from Marcel asking how everyone was doing just before the super strong mutant had taken a direct hit from the blast. Lachlan hadn't been granted the time to respond beforehand and as it currently stood, he was dealing with the consequences of taking on a full on energy blast.
Small plumes of smoke rose from the alpha as he briefly fell to his knees, clutching his abdomen and coughing a few times in an attempt to catch his breath. Of course he hadn't expected the sensation to feel pleasant but the surge through his body had also caught him off guard. This had been his first time deliberately absorbing an energy blast so he couldn't exactly say he'd fully known what to expect.
After taking a few moments to gain his bearings again, the farm boy looked over to the two girls behind him and brushed himself off as best as he could before standing. "No need," the super strong mutant assured as he brushed various small specs of dust off his cheeks, "to be sorry."
"I'm," he assured Aurelie and Alex with a determined nod, "just fine, don't worry about me. I agree, though, we should get going. Seige, Jedi, Wraith and Playboy would probably appreciate some help scoping out the inside in case they run into trouble."
"But first," Lachlan said as he rotated his right wrist in order to crack it as he stared down the metal construct that had tried to take his allies out, "I think we have a problem to deal with. Time for me to get even, hopefully."

Aʆєxaηdra Ӎaʀiʆèηє AgηèȿCodename:Flairer ❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀ (()) She giggled slightly at the image Aurelie portrayed. “I have heard some people like people that wear glasses.” She teased with a faint smile. “But, I think I would worry about breaking the glasses if I had to wear them. I would be afraid of them sliding down my nose.” Her finger trailed along the bridge of her nose before giggling some more. “I cannot imagine any glasses to fit well on my face.”
After some mention of the hair-chewing, they did briefly touch upon the topic of the bomb at the mall. She offered to be Aurelie’s ear if need be and the telekinetic mentioned appreciating it. “No problem.” She smiled again at Aurelie. The topic changed though with Dimitri’s jokes, even if one of the jokes fell flat to her.
Alex nodded to Dimitri’s explanation. “Well, let us hope they do stay on easy mode.” She did not want to see the Sentinels coming after them in full force. It would be like the attack on the school all over again. Dimitri joined her and Aurelie and she felt like she was surrounded from all sides in nothing but shields. The tower like magma structure from Dimitri and the telekinetic shields from Aurelie. It was kind of nice in a way.
Alex heard the message from Wraith over the comm. She furrowed her eyebrows at the two Latin words. “Victus makes me think like….Victor….Victory….something like that. But, I do not know what the vae means. He lost me there.” She only recalled that Latin was an ancestor of English and other languages. Some words in Latin still sounded like their descendent counterparts. “But, maybe you should ask him to speak English next time. That way, I do not have to try and play Latin translator.”
Wraith kept on his forward march though, leaving her to wonder if he would be okay. Aurelie made it sound like he could run out of energy too quickly if he continued his course. However, the further he went, the harder it was to keep track of him. All she knew was that he continued to tear into whatever Sentinels he could. In a way, it was almost frightening how easily the man became so battle focused and determined to take down the enemy. But, she kept that thought to herself.
The Sentinel that had attacked and lead Lachlan to do a nosedive got taken care of by Marcel. In a somewhat amazing way she might add. Just seeing the machine’s head pop up like nothing felt a bit relieving. Dimitri added onto the damage with his own powers, making the Sentinel no longer a threat. Maybe there was a chance they would be able to take on these machines. Yet, she reminded herself that was likely one of many robots. No way would their powers outlast an army of those things.
“I am fine.” She answered back to Marcel on her own behalf. “The others…depends on what you consider fine.” Even with Marcel apparently using his water to help try and lessen the blow to Lachlan, the super-strength comrade still looked like he went through the ringer. Dimitri made a light-hearted joke of his current situation which was appreciated. This time the joke was one she could get behind.
A comm message came through from Gabriel, letting them know he and Jedi was moving forward into the facility. To think some of the Alphas had gotten that far already. She felt like she had barely made it off the plane before finding herself stuck in place. “Acknowledged.” Hopefully, they would eventually be able to catch up to them. As it was though, she wasn’t sure when that would be. Dimitri though looked to be going on ahead to meet Gabriel and the others. Flying like that was one way to catch up for sure.
More comm messages went through and her eyes widened. Not only at how quickly Gabriel, Dimitri, Wraith, and August had gathered together but at how they had gotten inside the facility. She swallowed a bit. “Wow I…do not think I could have done so as quickly as them.” She said softly. “But, I suppose a forward march is a good thing. Just I worry about what will await them and us.” Who knows how many Sentinels, awake or asleep, lied inside the large facility.
“Acknowledged. Thank you.” Alex made sure to politely respond back to the comm messages before lowering her hand from the comm. She closed her eyes and enhanced her hearing briefly, just to see if she could try and help the Alphas that had gotten into the facility. Instead, she opened one eye and tilted her head slightly to the side. “Um….why am I hearing someone singing in a foreign language?” She tilted her head to the other side, still hearing the language that was not familiar to her. “Must be just me.”
She shook her head and quickly unenhanced her hearing. The singing had been too loud for her to distinguish much of the other noise, even if she did have to admit the pitch sounded like something not even an opera singer could pull off. Whoever it was, she had to give them credit for that at least.
Unfortunately, she had no time to figure out the mystery of the strange singer. A terrible mechanical voice resounded, and she swallowed. One of those Sentinels had to activate, didn’t it? Aurelie made a good point and she nodded. “Agreed. I will try to make sure none of the human sized ones sneak up on us.” She enhanced her sight once again. If only she could enhance both her sight and hearing. But, she feared the distant singing would distract her otherwise anyway.
Lachlan acted like he was fine. She wasn’t sure she agreed. With all of them in agreement about moving, she looked in the direction of Finn and Colin. “Please stay safe…” She whispered and looked away from them. Maybe with Finn likely wounded and all, it was best for them to stay behind. She wasn’t sure though and that would have to be their call. “And just make sure to let us know if you need to bow out, alright?” She said now to Lachlan. “Fine or not, that was still an intense hit you took. Better safe than sorry.”
And they would need all the help they could get to face off against these mechanical monsters. ❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀ "We will drink our fill of Alpha Then, of golden sunshine that spills into Alpha side of the fight Till our brains intertwine with Aurelie, Marcel, and Lachlan (nearby Finn and Colin)"

Inside the compound Something within the wires and hardware of the behemoth registered that it was melting faster than the metallic armor could repair. “Damage detected.” The voice somehow sounded more mechanical, less menacing than it had when the shadow mutant had stepped into its crosshairs. Its emitter broke first, shards of glass and twisted metal fell to the production floor with a resounding thud, and the core system registered the problem area. What it didn’t announce, was the system initiating repairs.
But the imminent threat of a rogue mutant was more important. One appendage down, the robot still did not slow, choosing to continue the pursuit instead, while other processors focused on mending its broken pieces. Magma encased where its face would be if it were a sentient being, and the metal warped into an unrecognizable shape as it fell to the ground. “Apprehension failure. Rogue mutant still danger.”
What was left of its eye blinked several times, turning off and on rapidly, and then slowly, until it faded into darkness. It stayed like that as the mutants pushed past the remnants of what it had been, resembling nothing now but a heap of scrap metal. But inside the case, electricity still fired, the computer still ran, and underneath the layer of magma, the sentinel’s ability to adapt to mutation booted up, just in time to save itself. Its composition changed, creating a layer of tungsten, and another of chromium - both metals resistant to the temperatures that the magma put off.
Something sparked as the metal began to transform, returning to its former glory. One hand reached over to the other, and held it for the wires to re-attach. Sewing itself back together, it brought itself to its feet. “System repair complete.” Once again, the voice speaking sounded large, filling the room with enough sound that little objects on the floor shook from the vibrations.
“Halt. Mutant.” Raising its new hand, it took aim at the four mutants roaming around. “Multiple mutants detected.” Transmitting it back to the control room, several other full sized sentinels on the production floor woke up, their voices in sync. “Security breach. Mutants detected. Preparing upload.” And like a well trained army, their steps moved in time with each other. Left foot. Right foot. Left foot. They moved through the compound as though they were not several stories high.
Each synchronized step caused the building to sway, as though the foundation was pulling away from the earth on its own accord. “Resistance is futile.” Soon they would catch up to the lone sentinel, but for now…
It released its plasma cannon, taking aim at the cluster of mutants as though they were merely ants to be exterminated. And it was the pest control.
[shitty post. I have a terrible headache. if you have questions, please ask. treat as a playable character]

Feedback. That was the sound his comm was given when the Sentinel took the plunge. He was stuck awaiting on the others to respond after a plasma blast erupted in the area and with a combined effort of both him and Playboy, the giant tinbucket went towering down without a head to boot. It was crafty to say the least. It attempted to perform most of it's functions despite having it's head blown off from pressure and then being molten down. The African-American male walked through the foggy area, using the water particles in the air as a result to map out faces as he had done before in the simulation.
"That's totally not fair," his tone expressed a hint of tease as he responded to the literal molten hothead soaring through the sky. 'I wanna learn how to fly tooo..."
He was easing the mood for himself if nobody or nothing else more. After all, there was a certain someone (Lachlan)who took a direct blast for Alex and Aurelie both and to top it all off, everyone's favorite Jedi Knight was storming right into the Death Star with Wraith, Paladin and Playboy following closely behind them. Four to charge fourth, yet Marcel had to ask himself; Were it ever just that easy?
"I'll probably join you all a little later," he said to the four heading onward. I'll stay and assess the damage taken out here, though I trust you all to play it safe."
Slowly, but surely, their voices came on the comms. Allegra came first, followed by Flairer. Out of their own wellbeing, they both brought up the same matter: Rectify had taken a solid hit. Marcel wasn't as effective in trying to deter the blow when arriving, it would appear. Still, as he walked to rendezvous with them all, he heard the husky tone of one exasperated male. While he would like to place his bets on their shadowy mutant friend who charged relentlessly headfirst into the base of the Sentinels himself, only one person could say they truly had a reason to sound worse for wear already and that was Rectify himself. A sigh in relief had escaped the dark male's thick lips as he began moving towards them just a bit quicker than usual. From what he saw when arriving, it was Finn and Colin who were also under a bit of heat from the plasma assault. They were the last two he needed to hear from, but amid it all, he had heard the voice. It was deep, booming and robotic in nature. Then had come the creaks of metal cringing and the sound of heavy thuds reverberating against the ground itself.
"I"m glad you're...fine...?"
There was a questionable pause in his response to the strong male and perhaps to their ears it was quite apparent. It wasn't hard not to hear it nor see it coming. It was merely a surprise. He could see the eyes glowing in the distance, menacing in form and hellish with an orange tint. They were small, sure enough, but there was the larger tone he could hear from a distance or perhaps it was merely reverberating through his earpiece via the comms. They had a few options.
"Getting back to the jet probably isn't safe, yet staying here in the fog isn't either..." they had to keep moving in short, but the question was where could they exactly take a small form of refuge? While he was willing to be vainglorious in an attack like the rest who had gone forward, something told him this was merely the calm before the storm. After all, this wasn't his nor others first rodeo with the giant robots, from the day after the prom to them giving retaliation as a result. This was their third time and the fog served to not only delude the eyes with poor vision and cover against the opposition, but who among the teams could truly say they could see through it themselves? No, standing still so that the robots could not see them would not suffice in lieu of a T-Rex with poor eyesight.
That is what brought Marcel to the very one he assumed was taken out when arriving in retaliation against it attacking the group. It took it's cracked over fallen head and brought it towards the shoulders, the sounds of mechanical gears whirring stirred to life as it brought the head back to connect with the rest of it's frame. The orange lights to its eyes stirred back on as Lachlan spoke of retribution against it. As for how it done so, it heated off the gelatinous substance Marcel used to cause the head to pop off from pressure in the first place. Were they learning how to adjust to the mutants they fought? That certainly wasn't scary at all.
"This one is surely persistent if anything more." he would have to determine how Finn and Colin were doing only after this Sentinel was truly laid to rest. He looked at Rectify. "Ever been launched before?"
Oh, he was definitely thinking to pressurize water as quickly as possible to make it rupture like a geyser, which would send on super strong mutant flying at a walking heap of metal. Marcel wasn't above being reckless if it could pay off at this point and if being blasted by plasma directly wasn't stopping the male, then why not go for it?
((OOC: Posted from what I garnered as a whole with everyone else's posts. so hopefully it didn't come off as autocontrolling. Let me know if I missed something and will gladly edit or just need to edit in general lol.))

With: Team Alpha Where: Sentinel Base Wearing: Mission Apparel The vibration of bullets against his back eventually ceased and Finn released a hesitant sigh of relief. ”I’m okay,” he replied back to Flairer, trying to catch his breath. ”Thanks guys, move forward.” he spoke firmly into his comm. With his back turned to the rest of the group at the time, he wasn’t sure who had actually stepped up the to the plate. But the plethora of abilities sounding off around him made him assume that several members had no problem volunteering to aid him. Glancing back to the younger girl he had shielded, Finn’s eyes softened. At some point during the turret’s assault he had caught her signing to him. While he couldn’t fully understand what she was saying, the Australian could make out the thankful but worried look in her face.
”Don’t sweat it, Love,” he smiled as he shot to his feet and pulled her up next to him. The Australian peered over his shoulder in a failed attempt to look at his tattered suit. The mesh, now ridden with bullet holes, was clearly incapable of holding up to the mission. He could feel across his back a mixture of sensations but mainly throbbing, stinging pains. That and the occasional coolness of the breeze. Before pressing forward, Finn gave Amp a light squeeze on her shoulder for confidence. ”It’s going to be a long fight, don’t sweat the small stuff,” the Australian grinned cheekily, trying to hide his own anxieties.
Looking up, Finn nodded a thank you towards Aurelie. While his mutation allowed him to be one of the sturdier members of team Alpha, Finn didn’t like the idea of chancing bullets over a long duration. ”Don’t apologize, you saved my life,” he replied warmly to the telekinetic.
As the fog began to wither down, Finn stepped forward and out of it to gain a better view of the environment. Wraith, along with three other mutants of team Alpha had decided to press forward into the facility. Soon, their entry into the facility was followed by a pounding of metal footsteps – of which Finn could only assume was the rest of the Sentinels coming online. Finn grimaced at the thought of only four facing off an entire production line of Sentinels. As strong as they were – as strong as any of them were, the Sentinels were made for this. They were designed to adapt and to kill mutants. The odds weren’t favourable to begin with, but as a split unit the outcomes looked even worse.
Before he could go full stride towards the facility after the other four, a Sentinel had cut off the rest of team Alpha, causing Finn to stagger backwards. ”s**t,” he muttered under his breath as his eyes traced an injured Lachlan. Knowing time was of utmost importance, Finn decided to take a shot at leading – at least for now. While he wasn’t a veteran X-men like Bella, he had experience leading teams in his own right. The margin for error was much smaller now that team Alpha had split, and they couldn’t afford more injuries this early. ”It shouldn’t be much longer for Wraith and the others to be joined by the Omegas in the facility, so take them out of your minds for now. They’re capable and strong, have faith in them,” he spoke firm and commandingly into the comms, ”We deal with this Sentinel and press on together as fast as possible.”
The Australian’s ears perked at Marcel’s idea to launch Lachlan at and through the Sentinel. It was an idea but an complete one. If the Sentinel had any time to react to a frontal assault, Lachlan could be caught and physically ripped in half. ”Risky but we can run with that idea,” Finn smiled at the young hydrokinetic. ”Provide the two a distraction. We can’t afford to let the Sentinel see an attack develop in front of it,” he added as he ran towards and around the Sentinel, drawing its gaze away from the group. Reactively, the Sentinel began its march towards Finn and he could sense an energy blast being lined up at him.
”Don’t suppose I can get another barrier or a lift upwards?” Finn questioned into the comms at Aurelie and Amp.

Is there any just cause for feeling like this? On the surface I'm a name on a list. I try to be discreet but then blow it again.
Code Name: Siren Team: Alpha Location: Gym To X-Jet Ability: Sound Manipulation Thinking: .......... █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ IIsabella heard Blake’s apology before they boarded. There wasn’t time to respond or debate. Instead, she was merely left with a weighty feeling at the tip of her heart. So much had gone one between herself and the Texan that she didn’t even know where to begin understanding exactly what he was apologizing for. She wished could say that it was water under the bridge but that wasn’t the case. If anything, it had only flooded the area, and taken the bridge and everything else with it down the river.
Instead of dwelling, she tried to focus on the issue at hand, and take care of her team. Some seemed nervous, some seemed confident, but that was to be expected. She went from trying to comfort Finn, to watching bullets fly on the ground in a matter of moments. Seconds. That seemed to be all it took for a landing zone to turn into a warzone. There was little the songstress could do but try and destroy the ground turrets that immediately assaulted them. Her heart stopped in chest when Kraken, Amp, and some of the others were caught in a hail of bullets.
They were saved by a variety of shields and quick thinking.
After that it seemed that Storm had obliged to requests to give them cover on the ground and a deep fog rolled in. It wasn’t enough to obscure their vision, certainly not hers, considering she could see with her ears just as well as her eyes, but they were able to move forward. Some of the Alpha’s felt the need to strike out on their own. She wanted to remind them that they were a team, and that singular heroics were a good way to get killed, but sooner than later they all seemed to start working together.
She saw Rectify take a hit for Allegra and she could almost imagine what he’d been thinking. He was a sweet farm boy, for sure, and was probably terrified of hurting a teammate. He would rather take the hit versus try and knock her to the ground and injure her….But that was always his default status. Lachlan would rather die than hurt someone else. Her worries about any possible injuries ebbed away when she heard him respond to both Allegra and Flairer. He was fine, thank goodness.
The Alpha’s, for the most part, seemed to be rolling over the enemies like a swarm of locusts. She called out a warning here or there but otherwise kept back, for the most part, picking off anything they missed. She didn’t want to add unnecessary bodies to a fight that looked like they were already winning. She worried for some of them, however. A few were clearly pushing the limits of their abilities. Eventually, they would burn out if they kept running so hot. Report after report came through the comms about the teams moving inside the complex.
Now, was when they needed to be a little more careful. There were prisoners and enemies to deal with. Big explosive abilities could injure someone. Or worse. Another report of moving in to the core, or finding Master Mold came in from Siege, and she responded. “Roger that Alpha’s…Keep it tight and keep moving forward. Stay on the lookout for any of the Omega’s. You’ll probably start running into them sooner than later. Everyone should be trying to make their way to the production floor. We fight as a team.”
It was right about then that she heard robotic commands being executed. Apprehension failure, damage detected, and then finally system repair complete. If Isabella would have had the presence of mind to swear she would have done so. They were similar to the Sentinels that had attacked the Academy. They could repair themselves, with enough time, unless certain necessary components were destroyed. They could also adapt to mutant abilities if enough of the same thing was thrown at them. “Try to share the larger targets. Eventually, they can adapt to your ability with enough exposure. Also keep in mind that some of the units can self-repair. You are not safe—No matter how dead a Sentinel looks until we take down Master Mold.”
Isabella dropped down from her birds eye view outside the facility somewhere between Kraken, Allegra, Rectify, Flairer, and Amp. As usual, she overheard, and tossed the group a half-weary smile. She wasn’t certain she approved of lobbing Lachlan at the metal monster but if he could destroy the power cell in the chest, or the data core in the head, it might keep it down. That was how Leo had brought a sentinel down at the Academy. Removing the data core. “I can help with a distraction.”, she offered up to the group, emerald eyes taking in the hulking robot from behind a domino mask.
“The sooner this thing is out of the way the sooner we can make it inside…Just be careful.”, she warned them all, as she was want to do. She always worried about all of them. No matter how strong they seemed to be.
With that the songstress bound sonic waves about her person and lifted off to distract the Sentinel. Isabella opened her mouth when she reached eye level and screamed into glowing photoreceptors. Glass, polycarbonate, whatever it was made out of cracked and the Sentinel tried to bat her away but she flew up and over its head. She screamed again to get its attention on her and not on the group below.
█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I've lost and found, it's my final mistake. Loving by proxy, no give and all take. I should have walked away. OOC: Bad post is bad. Hope this works for you guys. Let me know if I need to adjust.

Name: Dimitri Otengam. Codename: Playboy. Location: X-Jet to Warzone On the battlefield a small slice of his attention went to Allegra when she finally got the joke that felt days "Right!?" he cried out to the telekinetic. Someone got gotten it thank goodness.
"Because Mold, Play Doh?" He pressed his free hand against the tower to fortify his position and to launch a projectile at the nearest turrets cannon. Enough time to tell her "Yeah...I know...At least somebody got it."
Their moment lasted as quick as an exhale. One of the sentinels targeted one of the Alphas and Dimitri took it to the skies to shut him down, before hearing the call over from Siege. "I always play it safe..." he replied to marcel. "Safe for the team anyway I can't speak for our fans." On the way he along with Siege assisted in also breaking down the wrist section of the hand ready to bring down Wraith for good. He landed and was on the move on the ground once more.
"Figured you guys could use some more firepower...And thank you." He replied to the Jedi between breaths with a hand to his chest in sincerity. Playboy looked back and the newcomer was on the tail looking to get more action under his resume. His suit matched the persona of his powers but his mask reminded him of a popular fighting game. Dimitri wasn't going to take all the glory, but he shrugged from the unadded gratitude. He tilted his head to Becker "Its the codename..." he muttered to the Jedi. "Its always the codename..."
After catching some breaths Dimitri wiped his face and treaded cautiously inside of the core building with the other 3 listening to Siren. The Production floor was the place to be. "No problem Siren." The ceilings were where his eyes were. His fists were up and he positioned himself so his back was either perpendicular or facing Jedi and Siege. "No way were getting ambushed" he said, unsure on to be sarcastic or serious in his tone. "Nope, not at all."
Suddenly it got a bit dimmer around them. Another attack? Instead it was a strategic move from the newbie; more supportive than the one man army perk this time. "I got the front." He whispered moving near the front of the group on his guard.
As they inched deeper and deeper into the facility he looked at the human sized sentinels at work with the manufacturing. Dimitri watched them through his peripherals and knew he wasn't the only one seeing this. "They haven't picked us up yet..." he mouthed to Siege.
Plus the fact that they were normal sized? Were they much faster since they lost size? Were their weapons different from their gargantuan counterparts? Each second they creeped it made Dimitri anxious. He could feel it in his chest. Were the human sized sentinels downgraded to just managing overview of the entire operation? Or did Wraith's trick earned more credit? He moved his focus ahead by Siege. This was beginning to become too long of a warm up "They're letting us in..."
Then he heard the booming metallic dialect, causing confusion, followed by a waterfall of fear in the Playboy. It was coming in the direction that they had both left the sentinel-
"Oh ******** had spotted them like cockroaches when the lights came on. The sentinel that the quaternary group had taken part of bringing back down was not only back up but nearly 100 percent functional! The hand that Dimitri had severed off wasn't just reattached. It appeared brand spanking new! He hesitated in his words. "Don't tell me it just did what I think it just did..."
"...That was my hottest attack....." The sounds of machines turning on and mechanical movement filled his ears. He could feel himself being drifted away, being pulled back into his last mission with the energy shield core. Taking that down took everything in his gas tank; barely having enough for a dash into the portal back. It was that whirlpool of self doubt that knew Dimitri's presence when he stepped foot into it.
And what did mean by upload? He wasted no time trying to play Family Feud but the game Blurt instead when his eyes widened from fear. "MOVE!" he screamed, almost coming out like an order. He busted into a sprint away from the incoming projectile.
"Playboy to team requesting Ba-" The communication was cut off, temporarily. All that would have been heard was a grunting sound coming from the Alpha. Dimitri didn't feel a thing-temperature wise. That meant that things on the other side were going to become much hotter. Siren's voice chimed in as he slowly rose up, one appendage at a time covered in debri. Afterwards the floor beneath them began to rumble in unison of steps like thunder. Playboy lost his footing just as he rose and stumbled to the back of the vibrating wall, unresponsive to the small cut on the side of his forehead and the tiny blood flowing.
"She's right." Dimitri spoke on the comm between breaths, now on the run to the nearest form of cover depending on who got more injured to assist them back up. "They've been looking at our wikipedias again. Requesting backup."
His bravado transitioned and he talked to the other 3 Alphas."We can't get to Master Mold like this...We gotta hold it down as a team in the meantime." He spoke to the other three on the com and formulated a base temperature sphere the size of a basketball in his left hand.
That solo s**t went out the top floor with no padding below. And that wasn't calling out the newbie he was stating facts. The omegas position was unknown to putting their entire pot on the table for them to save their a** wasn't happening. If they hit hard as a squad towards the sentinel, then there's a chance they'll stay down permanently. And if this building couldn't hold it's foundation from the way it was swaying, then everyone was staying down permanently.
"I can keep the main bot busy in the skies and give you guys a window. to hit em low." Then he blind chucked it from around the corner in an arc and its heat and glow quickly dissipated in seconds. It hit the floor like the molten rock that it was and ceased all movement. But what didn't cease was Dimitri's small concentration on it.
Little did they know....

Narcissa was mostly immune to the rounds of brotherly bickering that Aren and Felix fell prone to. Neither the speedster nor the shapeshifter could have the last word. It was an unwritten rule, somewhere, she assumed. Along with Felix calling her kitten. Why? For the bloody love of God and Queen—Why? Narcissa would probably never know. They rolled from the X-Jet easily enough but the fireworks didn’t start until Iceman decided to announce their arrival by poking the bear. Aero asked her if she could shoot ‘stuff’ that caught things on fire and the Red Queen blinked before nodding her head. “Something like that. I’ll keep you in mind.”
Indeed, she would. The blonde bombshell liked nothing more than a devastating explosion to liven things up. The turrets were made quick work of for the most part. When Aftershock snapped her ability out at the few in her direct vicinity they didn’t stand a chance. Fracture, Aero, and Paladin handled the first a wave of irritating mini-me robots. Narcissa didn’t understand their purpose—but she also didn’t care. They were just one more obstacle between the Omega’s and their objective.
Jinx was possibly the only one who made her stop her general perusal of the battlefield. Crystalline eyes watched from behind her macabre pointed crown-mask as one turret became a potted plant, and another, a skeleton man that seemed vaguely familiar. Jack Skellington? The sun goddess inwardly cringed. She had no want to be reminded of the alternate reality they’d been stuck in where her jaw could dislocate. Where Aren had been a blue gargoyle. And Dom had been a scarecrow.
Oh. And that was before she made a p***s statue. Aren was in stitches beside her and she had to try very hard to keep a straight face. His laughter bubbled up from the bottom of her heart and threatened to spill over. It couldn’t happen here—Not now.
“Too late.”, Narcissa responded in her comm to the hex-user, deadpan British voice stale and eloquent as ever. No one with eyes could miss this particular use of Gracie’s power. Not in a million years. The golden-haired heiress also lacked the tact to let it go. “Way too late.”
Blake came back from the inner buildings with a status report that made the Red Queen sigh. There were more of them. Much, much, more. And they were mostly the Big Brother sentinels. Great. “Understood Amarillo.”, she echoed Aren, wondering if they could be lucky enough to find a way to shut down the robots before they had a chance to rip their heads off.
She wanted to tell the Native American not to wander off on his own but he seemed fairly determined.
Aero called for help from his side, apparently pinned down by a turret, and she couldn’t be sure he’d gotten away. Just to ensure his safety she charged up a tightly wound ball of light, drew back, and threw it light a baseball. It blew through any of the remains and made sure it was out of commission. “Are you five by five over there Aero?”
After that, the battlefield had thinned, and she found her hands resting on her hips as they all tried to find a different way into the facility. “Our intelligence is limited. We have a basic layout but most of the tech in there is beyond me. Likely, beyond most of us. Even if we found the control hub I’m not sure we’d be able to physically shut it down.”
“S.H.I.E.L.D. brought us in firepower. Perhaps if we do enough damage, we can bring them offline, but that depends on the Alpha’s not waking them up.”, Narcissa went on as she walked forward, surprisingly agile in very high heels, on uneven ground. As if on cue a laser beam shot through the side of the building, from the inside, and she sighed in relative disdain. “I think the Siren’s pups have found the production floor.”
“If we find Master Mold and destroy him the hive mind might die which should cause the rest to shut down. I don’t know about weaknesses for the little ones…But for the big ones, its heart and head."
Narcissa headed directly toward the main building, not far behind Iceman, while the White Queen seemed to have her own agenda. She was ferocious with her diamond form, ripping the smaller bots limb from limb, but she wasn’t really fighting in the same direction. It would occur to her later that Emma was looking for a way to release the prisoners from their pens. Mutants, humans, it didn’t matter. All had been rounded up and collared with an electroshock piece to force them to behave. “We better get moving. If I know anything…It’s that the Alpha’s are probably in over their heads.”
Two of the small soldier robots rushed out the front door just as she was about to walk in. Solaris reacted quickly, and grabbed the first by the faceplate, while she open fired on the second. She left a hole in its torso that was large enough to see daylight through. When it came to the other she cranked the heat and watched as its face melted. She dug her hand in further and eventually burned all the way through its circuitry. When it dropped, she pulled her hand away and shook off the bright orange white hot melted material. At least these ones didn’t heal.
From there she headed inside, following the sounds of fighting, and the sudden robotic threats that echoed in the building so loudly that they made the floor shake.

Farren merely smirked and offered a chuckle when the mother hen Texan offered his concern for her in the form of asking her to be careful. It was a sweet gesture but it was somewhat lost on the kinetic user since she happened to be one of the more durable members of the team. It wasn't an unfamiliar experience for her, either, she'd actually lost count of the times where people had offered her unfounded concern. There had been plenty of others before Blake that spent their time worrying about her only to discover she was a fiercely independent and capable force to be reckoned with.
"Don't worry about me too much," she assured the Texan with a playful salute of her index and middle fingers pressed against her forehead before seeing him off, "like I said: gray hair on you would be a downright shame."
After splitting off from the two people she had become most familiar with since arriving at base, she decided to assist a few of her other teammates with some small fry sentinels. At least they'd been courteous enough to give them a warm up before sending in the big guns.
Farren was pleasantly surprised to find she'd managed to down the small sentinel with relative ease. All the practice she'd been putting into her simulations and sparring sessions seemed to have paid off. She'd managed to execute her switch from power to speed almost flawlessly, just a few seconds of delay, something she hoped to continue working vigorously on in the future.
Farren had sent out the call and a number of omegas had answered with their prior knowledge of sentinels they'd encountered before these. The heads and 'hearts' seemed to be the most susceptible vital spots for her to tag and she acted accordingly, not missing a beat. Mere seconds after she'd been issued the knowledge, the kinetic absorptionist cranked back to strength, quickly placing a fist through both the head and chest of her downed quarry.
"Copy that," Farren acknowledged in response to both Alice and Roland's advice on how to properly decommission their robot adversaries as she knelt atop a pile of what she assumed was now scrap metal.
She looked up in order to assess whether Paladin or Aero required further assistance. Farren wasn't forced to wait long to receive her answer: Aero cleanly maneuvered himself, ducking in and out of cover to keep himself from being hit by the turrets and managed to pull off a couple shots that lead her to assume this hadn't been his first rodeo. The calmness and fluidity with which he executed himself spoke of prior training of some sort. "Nice shot, I'll help you out with some of these pesky turrets," Farren announced into the comm before taking off to assist the marksman.
One quick blitz brought her to an unattended turret that made itself an easy target considering its focus was still on Cam. Yet again, she quickly shifted from speed to strength in order to pummel the turret into a crunched metal platform.
Oni had decided to take up assisting Aero as well, offering Farren a moment to breathe and survey the battlefield yet again. It was then that she looked onwards only to see a few turrets take some rather interesting and arguably random forms. One had taken on a plant in a flower pot, the next had turned into Jack Skellington and the final ... well, the final one had definitely caught Farren's attention as well as her mirth. Of all the things to conjure up, apparently Gracie had managed to summon a d**k on a skateboard. Who would have thought?
"Hate to break it to you, babe," Farren chimed in with a whimsical giggle over the comm, although by now it was probably overkill if anything to poke fun at the erection ... of an erection, "but that thing's kind of impossible to miss. Maybe if we have time to later we can all rate it from zero to ten. Ever thought about getting into that old school Greek and Roman sculpting? I think you may have a dormant talent just waiting to be discovered."
It wasn't long after that Blake broadcast the entire team to alert them to the fact there were at least twelve more large sentinels to deal with beyond the wall. Farren couldn't speak for others, but her energy supply, as long as she could keep taking a hit, was near endless. Of course, she was certain the majority of the others didn't possess such a luxury. She excelled in hand-to-hand but ranged combat, well, it was a lot more complex to utilize her mutation efficiently.
"Rodger that," she echoed into the comm to let Blake know she'd heard him loud and clear, "if we need some more front line support to bust in there and scope things out, just let me know."
Not long after, Narcissa paged over the comms, deciding to 'lead the charge' inside the facility. Her aloofness and the ease with which she dispatched the sentinels that arrived to greet her was definitely nothing to scoff at. It went without say that no one wanted to get on the bad side of someone with the ability to literally melt faces off.
"I feel like," she suggested into the comm as the omegas closed in on one of the facility entrances, "we ought to put a small recon team together to scope the place out while the alphas and majority of us keep the active sentinels occupied. I'd offer but considering I'm up for taking a few hits, I'm probably better off staying as a distraction and trying to soak up some damage to keep the others safe. That being said, I can front line for the recon group as well in the event we run into any problems. Any volunteers?"
