I have no idea who you are. Lazenca's countering relies on him getting hit and blocking with his bracers, which are metallic. Between having frozen water and metal, lightning doesn't fit his style. Twitch could deal with it though, she's more active and mobile, and would just try not to get touched from the get go. I was watching EVO through SaltyBet because hey, why not. I was holding off on getting Tekken, but I'm completely uninterested in UMVC and any of the anime fighters (save Skullgirls) so if I'm getting a fighting game this decade, it'll be Tekken 'cause they're doing huge things. Now we just need to have someone from Samurai Shodown (Kazuki Kazama pls) or Waku Waku 7 (Arina pls) and we'll be set for life.

Was she more of a speed character? I'm with you. UMVC looks awful. I was a little hyped for Jedah, but not full price for a game hyped. I imagine the gameplay COULD be solid but the game literally LOOKS awful. Whoever approved that needs to be shot. Tekken is just blowing things out of the water. They've confirmed that none of the DLC characters will be Tekken characters. My bet is on either a Samurai Showdown OR Soul Calibur character and a Rival Schools character. SC was my favorite fighting game of all time, I'd have to buy Tekken outright if that happened. But holy s**t bro, Arina?! You jumped straight in the way back machine right there, I'm pretty sure the FGC would just blow up if they tapped a Neo Geo game. I also hold out some secret hopes to see a Bloody Roar character - anyone but Busuzima. ANYONE. I'd even take Jenny. I will say this though. DBZF has me hyped. Tapping Arc System Works for that was genius. I'm not even a huge DBZ fan but the young boy in me who watched it after school every day just NEEDS to own that.

i miss soul cal 3. you could make your own character and go through a little quest story line leveling up. The best part was that your custom characters could fight against others and you could pass around the controller so people could each play their own character in quest fights.
the new console battle games, i dunno. everything wants to be a first person shooter, but those suck.

I meant MVCI of course. And yeah, Jedah will be good to watch and hope he remains in playable-tier, but it's not Talbain and I've just gotten tired of that format. So yeah, Tekken and all its DLC chars are what's up. And if they go Bloody Roar, I'm hoping for Long.
Twitch moves in bursts, even more than Lazenca. She's not a speedster, I'd call her a zoner who's going to punish you the moment you get too close, where Lazenca is a defensive and moves to punish via counter strings. Their fighting styles, Tenma ne Garo and Tenma ne Gato (Loveless Wolf/Big Cat) are both defensive, but Lazenca hunts and Twitch uses TKD, bojitsu, and a video game-based style, Xtreme Platform Jumping School. Where Laz is content to just stand there and watch you (because if you do it long enough, he's just going to Glare and you'll instantly lose), Twitch will come to you and keep making you react to her pokes.
The best example of her style is the last HoH, where she fought someone from Soul Eater who could flash step and split her staff in half, but she spent almost a quarter of the fight spinning around him through the snow just so that when she finally kicked, it could break the dude in half. He was being an asshat, completely ignoring what she was doing because anime reasons I guess, and missed and moved to grapple and she has basic knowledge but he started sawing into her so... she needs to keep moving. Then she fought Sieg in the semifinals and used Egami Evitagen to turn a swamp into a volcano, in that the Water Zone was now a Fire Zone and she got to use free magic.

Uberwulf X He also doesn't take passive lightning damage from being in the middle of a storm but he h a t e s fighting electricity, and Darth probably knows it. I was ready to catch that L, had he decided to fight. To be fair, Laz presents a pretty strong counter to Deitric. Deitric's used to being the bigger, stronger fighter, so Lazenca takes that aspect of his approach away. Laz also has claws (right?) and I expect some of his ice powers probably make it hard for Deitric to wade in and throw punches like he usually does. Deitric would have to fight a bit out of his comfort zone, just like when he had to fight Ebris. Although, that being said, his expanded power set does give him a lot more options in dealing with that sort of thing. Like totally-not-Yondu's-Arrow-from-GotG.

Talbain would have made so much more sense since there is no mention of Felicia. Or if they were going to bring in a male character I would have expected Dimitri. Even though I hate Dimitri. Man, Long would be so legit also if they just snuck in a skin where he's Shenlong. Hype.
So, Twitch is pretty much the opposite of Laz. I mean both defensive yes, but one plays at and keeps range and the other will close and as I saw, keep you there for a finish. I... actually had no idea she used fire. I knew she could stop time but damn, that's pretty legit!

Do explain, please. I can dig it. Laz does have more in his arsenal than he showed to Maxi, so yeah... between claws, shifting, hanging lines, and projectiles, he would have to be more active and he'd have the tools to do so. I just remember a Laz/Dietric fight where blocking meant taking a jolt, and not blocking meant taking taking a harder jolt, and Laz taking a few more jolts than he was prepared for. Fire is her prime element; she dabbles in non-elemental and her purple fire gets mistaken for being dark-elemental. She was fire-based before she became time/reality based, and those were only when she was part of her pantheon. She's since been fired for her directly helping people in LeviStad with those time powers, and can only use aspects of that power in Egami Evitagen. She also can shift just as well and quickly as Lazenca, but she doesn't do that or smile. The former because she doesn't need to-- she doesn't hunt or fight nearly as much as Laz-- and the latter because her natural smile makes her look murderous-- the president of a corporation needs to look appealing, so she restricts herself to smirking.

I have Noire's stats in about 4 systems including Star Wars, d20, and d6. Says of katana: DC d20+48 fort save or die, which i guess is only about 58, but then it says his BAB is only +15, reflex save +30, will save +68, fort save +0 (you read that right) AC 25/AC 40 (when dodging). I dunno. I'd guess he's worth maybe 5000 XP. The d6 system is so alien to me I'll just copy paste and hope someone knows what this crap means. This document is over 10 years old.
