March, 2018 Student name: Orphe Prompt: stop spreading germs Response: Please write a short IC post about what your student thinks will help stop germs from spreading. Orphe yawned and listened to the lecture as best as he could. It wasn’t like it was new information over the years and common sense and good parenting meant that you should already be aware of how not to spread germs. Still maybe people where just constantly missing all the other previous health days. Yeah… no. well at least it was a health day, he was way too tired today to do anything active. In fact it was lucky he wasn’t falling asleep. Then again he hadn’t fallen asleep in class yet and he sorta wanted to keep that track record. ‘Mmm focus on the question orphe’ was the mantra running through his head.
Avoid contact with sick people; if you are sick yourself make sure to cough into your elbow. Wash your hands and surfaces regularly with antibacterial soup. If you are sick just stay at home to limit the area you are exposing. Wear little dusk masks to keep contaminants away. Also keep your immune system up to fight off germs with the right vitamins and foods.
Yeah that would be a good short list right?

March, 2018 Student name: Muninn (junior) Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Muninn was a bit worried about the assignment today in class. After all he didn’t have the best eyesight and you couldn’t really use birds to help you for p.e so he had left his back in his dorm room. Still the teacher said they couldn’t fail the assignment but he didn’t want to do horrible either and get made fun of. The nerves were so bad that he kept fumbling the first couple of times. Maybe if he just explained to the teacher? Then again maybe he could suck it up and just try it, it wasn’t as if he could go secretly have his birds bit any one that did make fun of him. With that plan in place he took the stance like the teacher showed them, lined up his shot as best as he could see and let the arrow fly loose. Only for it to hit the bulls-eye. Muninn stood there blinking. Wait had he seen what he thought he saw… yep right in the middle. Yeah he would never pull that off again.

March, 2018 Student name: Pherein (junior) Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Okay so Pherein could do a lot of things but she had never tried archery. It looked a bit intimidating. However it could be fun right and everyone was always trying to get her to try new non pranking things. Unfortunately she also was in a bit of a funk because it was the first health class she didn’t share with Kieran and well this year a lot of her classes didn’t line up with her twin. So she was in a funk, or at least that was the story she was going to tell.
So when she lined up her shot and watched it fly, she watched it fly past the target all together. Yeah so glad the gym had that weird padding. Archery also wasn’t for her, now let her throw a ball by hand and she’d nail you in the forehead. Ah well couldn’t be perfect at everything. Now off to go hide, and prank people to raise her spirits. Kieran would totally be on board right?

March, 2018 Student name: Frey (senior) Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Frey wasn’t too sure about this. Litches and archery and reflexes just didn’t go hand in hand. Okay maybe that was a bit too mean towards fellow Litches, he would fix his statement to Litches named Frey and reflexes didn’t go hand in hand. Sure he could actually move pretty fast and he was pretty nimble. He had to be to cut hair and run around a salon as help after all.
However it was just one shot and then he would be done for the assignment right. One shot and it would all be over. So he took a deep breath and centered himself before lining up the shot as best he could. He didn’t really expect anything from it so it was a bit of a surprise when it went sailing through the air and actually hit the target. It wasn’t a bulls eye and was in fact a couple rings away but it was still a pretty good shot for him he thought, even if it was his first time. Yeah he would be okay with this.

March, 2018 Student name: Seraph (senior) Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Ugh why did it have to be archery? Whhhhhhyyyy. Seraph already knew that he sucked at archery having been talked into it when he was younger and there was a concert his parents sang at and… well the thing was that he knew he sucked and since he hadn’t practiced or touched a bow since then he wasn’t expecting any great leap of skill to suddenly appear. His luck was also quite horrid lately so he wasn’t expecting a miraculous shot either.
He just waited until no one was looking to quickly fire off a shot. He hit the target this time… but just barely. Oh well he did the assignment and he could quickly run away from the archery section of the gym and go message Arinas that he totally needed sympathy cookies. Stupid archery.

March, 2018Student name: Sylkie Von Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Sylkie grinned as her arrow flew towards the bullseye, hitting the edge of the red center. This was the best shot she’d ever gotten with a bow and arrow. She had to tell her sister later. (Brag to her, really.)

March, 2018 Student name: Jaret Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response:
Jaret watched as everyone prepared to shoot their arrows. Was... this even safe? He smirked, curious how good his aim would be. He picked up his bow and arrow, listening to the instructor on how to set up and what to look out for. With his eyes on the target, he shifted his arm out of the way of the path of his arrow. He took a deep breath and released the arrow as he exhaled, watching it fly through the air. He smiled big when he got pretty close to the center. Sure, it wasn't the center... but for his first time... Pretty great! He couldn't wait to tell Favrielle about this! Maybe she tried in her class too!

March, 2018 Student name: Kobe Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response:
Looking at the bow and arrow in his hand, Kobe's ears perked. He looked up curiously at his teacher, listening to them about how to properly shoot an arrow. He then stood up straight and pulled the string back. He twisted his arm some to avoid it being torn open like his instructor mentioned. He looked at the target, biting his lip as he aimed the best her could... letting the arrow go. He frowned as it hit the target, nowhere close to the center. He was bummed it wasn't closer but then again, it was pretty good for his first time... right? Practice makes perfect. Maybe.. if he got better his pack... Keagan.. will be really impressed!

April, 2018 Student name: Garet Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response: Now, this would be interesting. Garet couldn't recall ever trying to fire off a bow and arrow. Watching the demonstration, and several other students trying their luck he took his place. In taking a deep breath, he slowly exhaled as he raised the bow up. Drawing the string along with the arrow was tougher than he'd expected. With a soft grunt, he drew harder on the bow before firing.
While it wasn't dead on the mark, it wasn't bad for his first shot. A small smirk crossed his lips as he examined his handy work from afar. Perhaps with a little more practice, he could improve? Not that it was a real passion, but having another interest didn't hurt he supposed.

April, 2018 Student name: Crispin Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response:
Heck yea P.E! Now this was a subject Crispin could really sink his teeth into. He loved doing physical exercise of all kinds. He wanted to be a police officer one day after all! If he wanted to be able to do his job he had to be fast, and strong right? His tail wagged eagerly as he darted to class. When he found out they were doing archery, he admitted he was slightly disappointed. Why couldn't they have to do a relay race or something... he was good at running.
No matter, this would be fun too. Crispin scampered over to pick up a bow and arrow set, before taking place to line up a shot. Focusing his attention on his target, he took in a sharp breath and drew the bow as tightly as possible. The force of it was more of a workout then he initially realized. Straining to hold the drawn bow pose, he let the arrow fly. To his amazement, he almost hit the target dead on! It was just ever so slightly to the right, and not quite in the center dot.
Proud of his well-placed aim, Cris grinned nearly from ear to ear. This had been way more fun than he'd given it credit for!

April, 2018 Student name: Jacie Prompt: stop spreading germs Response:
Jacie sat in class, excited to see what his teacher had planned today. Rumor had it that archery was a thing! Listening to his teacher talk about germs, he sighed. Why weren't they doing archery like the other classes? Lazily, he laid his head on his desk. They had to come up with was to stop spreading germs. He could think of a few ways; washing your hands a lot, not touching your face, coughing in your elbow and showering frequently were what he thought of. If he had to think of other ways, maybe if you never leave the house and had no friends then you likely wouldn't get germs. He smirked at the thought, feeling like a smart arse.

April, 2018 Student name: Kinley Prompt: stop spreading germs Response:
Kinley sat down, listening to his teach talk about germs... Why aren't they outside playing a game or something? This was boring. The young grimm looked to Jacie whose head was laying on the desk then back at the teacher. They were supposed to think of ways to not spread germs. Kinley knew that washing his hands thoroughly with warm water and soap was the best way to not spread germs. Coughing in your elbow was another way but he wasn't sure what else he could do. Maybe staying away from people that are sick and cleaning up possible infected areas with disinfectant? He shrugged some, pretty content with the few answers he had.

April, 2018 Student name: Lilja Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark! Response:
Lilja walked into the gym. The weather was bad so she had assumed that basketball would be the game of the day. She looked at the archery stuff, biting her lip some. She had never even touched a bow before, let alone shoot one. She watched her instructor closely, following along with the motion. Once it was her turn, she pulled the bowstring back with the arrow and released it.... watching it go off into the distance, completely missing the target. Her shoulders drooped some, moving to the the movement again as practice. After all practice makes perfect and this could be a really good skill to learn.

April, 2018 Student name: Nova Prompt: stop spreading germs Response:
Nova listened patiently as the instructor engaged she, and the other freshlings of her class. Peering at her curiously, the young hybrid seemed surprised at how simple the exercise was. She had expected to have to go run around or do some other silly game...this was unexpected but welcomed surprise. Hmm...how to stop the spread of germs? Her eyes lit up, she knew this one! Washing one's hands with warm water and soap were important. So was sneezing into her elbow, both were great ways she figured.
Shrugging, she went back to her picture book, scanning the words and picture curiously to see what happened next in her story.

April, 2018 Student name: Kahlua Prompt: stop spreading germs Response:
Stopping the spread of germs was extremely important! Kahlua liked to keep everything neat and tidy so it was easier to clean and wipe things down. Living with so many brother and sisters, she was a big fan of ensuring to help out with Drissy and Lir whenever they cleaned up around the family home. Looking thoughtful, Kahlua considered all the ways she could to stop the spread of icky germs. Wiping down surfaces with germ spray, and washing one's hands with soap and warm water was really important. If you are sick, she also remembered you should cough into your elbow! Beaming she felt like her answer was well thought out as she handed in her work.
