"Nawh."
Feather stated out loud even with voice of Kyle in head, sliding into the hallway with the most deadpan expression possible staring at the general group of people on the second floor.
"Can't convert me to your voodoo magic and using my brain for once. You can always make me stop by coming for food and drink yohoho."
Though thinking about it, Feather really should use the brain chat room thing, but at the same time it's giving them flashbacks to horrible jokes of ye youngin Feather. Never again.

[ATE: Good Friend Captain Morgan] [21] [Kyla: Kyla’s Bedroom> Mirage Arena: Second Floor Halls]
At long last, the door to the artist bedroom opened, admitting a more casually dressed occupant. She kept a more casual version of her attire consisting of her shawl/poncho draped over her usually bare shoulders. Carbuncle padded along beside her like some pet cat, tail swishing contently from side to side in step with her partner.
“Can you smell the munchies from here?”
“…a little.” Kyla admitted. She spotted ahead of her some more people- Bobbi, Kyle, Noelle and beyond them-
“Feather.” She said quietly to herself, the volume level only high enough to p***k Carbuncle’s ear.
Feather had a real courage she seemed to already be admiring. It reminded her of when Bobbi made tea. Or when they had ramen, of course- she wasn’t there for that.
Food and drink where waiting for them down in the living room area and all Kyla could do was stand there awkwardly. Her eyes settled on the group some little ways in front of her. There was so much left unspoken between herself and them, each – in her mind- was their own unresolved incident of miscommunication or missed opportunity. Truth be told she only had herself to blame for it too. It was this guilt that rooted her to the floor, like a gnarled restraint shackled somewhere between her ribs and the floor between her feet. And so she stood there staring awkwardly again, lifting the text she took with her till it obscured everything in front of her. Maybe she could just turn around and try some other time---
“Hi hi! Sounds like Feather gots some munchies for everyone! Count us in!”
“…you don’t eat anything..”
“I can watch and make sure YOU do!~” the summon sing songed before bounding up towards the group of three. “Good to see you, Noelle, Bobbi, Kyle, whats the skinny?” the creature pawed at Noelle’s ankle curiously.

[ ATE : Good Friend "Captain Morgan" : 22 ] [ Luke : Mirage Arena : First Floor ]Luke nodded to Feather's suggestion to try food. He loved mac and cheese, but would definitely not be eating it if it had bacon in it, so he would have to try everything else to make up for it and not be rude. He had no idea what she meant by "poutine" but he was definitely up for trying a new experience. At that particular moment, anyway. He noticed that another of their allies was speaking to him, and let out a loud "OH!" before setting down his book and empty glass and following her into the kitchen. "Sure! I'd love to help. Um..." He wanted to ask her name, but simply nodded at her mentions of food and family visits for now. He had been surviving off of berries and fruits gathered from bushes and trees in the forest for the first week after the... incident. Although he loved fruits and berries, he was definitely grateful to be able to eat cooked food again. "Word," he agreed. He wasn't sure what else to say - would it be rude to ask questions about her family, would it be rude to not acknowledge that she had said a thing? - so he did what he usually would do, and let the music take over. He began to quietly vocalize the melody of the song he had previously been singing as he continued to follow Sayrike's lead.

{ ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 23 } { Kyle : Mirage Arena : Second Floor Halls } He gave Feather a look that was perhaps some mixture of disapproving and disdaining. "If not for me, then perhaps as a consideration for the people who might be trying to rest after the day of training? Or respect for the wise ones up top?"
Given the day of vigorous training--more akin to military boot camp than anything he'd expected--it wasn't impossible that there were people who just wanted to crash for the evening. Hours upon hours of running, push-ups, pull-ups, and various other exercises wore the energies low for most. While the effects of the arena meant they healed faster and thus were 'okay' to progress into the next day (and weren't literally dying of soreness), it didn't necessarily replenish internal energy.
So it wasn't unheard of for people to just hole up in their rooms, take off their charms, and pass out. That was basically the closest thing to a mental 'do not disturb' for most.
Except, it seemed, for Feather.
"I'm coming, don't get me wrong, just... try to be polite for the rest of the house, eh?" he said, shaking his head and beginning to move toward the staircase when Kyla and Carbuncle came on out.
"Uh, not much more than food and drink and exceptionally loud noises, I guess?" he answered the pet, shrugging.

{ ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 24 } { Steven : Mirage Arena : Second Floor Halls } Deep bass reverberated from a pair of wrap-around headphones clasped over one ear of the summoner, the other resting just below the earlobe as he strode into the hall where the others were gathering. Under his left arm, Steven held a large tome: "Fundaments of Magecraft, Numerology & Geomantic Studies." Over his left palm floated a hologram displaying a number of diagrams and text that shifted and changed when his fingers twitched. Behind him, taking up flanking positions were two men clad in heavy plate armor. One had olive skin, a mantle made of lion pelt, armor tarnished gold and red, and hair of chocolate brown with a military cut, the other dusky skinned, disheveled, obsidian hair down to his shoulders, and matching black armor with gold etching topped with a dulled copper colored cloak lined in the inside a vibrant red. Each stood a foot taller than their tallest earthling and carried great swords at their sides. Beyond their monstrous height, a ring of spell script that floated above each of their heads identified them as one of Steven's summons passively accompanying him. Steven made a small smile to Feather and Kyla's direction before greeting the others who had gathered in the hallway outside the living room, "Good evening. I hear something about food and a Captain of some repute."((Music: liberate me by Syrufit))

[ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 25] [Noelle : Disney Castle : Mirage Arena] The gathering of two quickly became a gathering of three, four, and more as everyone seemed to be popping up at the mention of food. Noelle wasn't actually particularly hungry, her body usually balked at the idea of food so soon after rigorous exercise, but she knew she needed to eat at least something. It was Pangur's mealtime too, so she would certainly join them for her nightly tuna.
Carbuncle's delicate pawing caught Noelle's attention and she smiled down at her, trying not to revert to talking to her like she spoke to Pangur Ban, "Yeah, we were about to head down to the common room to see what the commotion was. Then the commotion came up here."
Feather was always a commotion, it seemed, but the energy was sometimes what the group needed to get through the training day. Sometimes. Noelle clicked her tongue for Pangur Ban to come out for dinner just as another commotion came up the stairs--two large but quiet ones.
"Oh, hey!" She greeted Steven, albeit a little awkwardly, "Yes, there was mention of a Captain of ill repute for sure, but not one any of us would mind the company of."

{ATE : Old Acquaintances, New Friends : 5} {Ashley : Paris : Outside Hati’s Mansion} “She is quite sassy,” Ashley laughed as she sat down in front of Hati. “Told me about how you are ‘saucy lady’ and how I am ‘coming back for more.’ That is not really the reason I am here though.”
Ashley cleared her throat before looking out of the windows and into the garden. “I was instructed to come here as a ‘test’ by someone called the Broker. That was an odd evening for sure. Here I am setting up in a particular part of the world and a cloaked person brings up my pizza. After a long conversation with them, I had to come to you for… advice? Companionship? I am not really sure how to describe it. I feel different then how I did an hour or so ago.”
Ashley slowly faced Hati trying to figure out how to phrase the next part of her long speech. “I feel like a new person. Not connected to the person I was once designed to humiliate. I am not really sure who I am anymore or what I can do. I did however discover I have a new weapon that is mine and mine alone. I can show you if you would like but I would feel rude just making it come to my hand. The only thing that I knew was that you were an ‘ally.' So I figured, since this happened to me and the Broker told me I could trust you, I would just try to talk to you about it and hopefully this will help this feeling.”

{ ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 26 } { Steven : Mirage Arena : Second Floor Halls } "Certainly not of ill repute if it's that captain. He and I will be quite quite close by the end of the night if I've anything to say about it," Steven allowed himself another small smile before turning to make his way towards the living/common room, the two escorts lingering a moment longer to look at those that had gathered before following without a word to anyone present.

{ATE:Good Friend Captain Morgan:27} [Kyla: Mirage Arena Second Floor Halls> Stairs]
"So it would seem! It sounds like Feather has a good idea in mind. I personally can't say much about the captain but perhaps my partner can indulge, if the first while of this new ' set up' hasn't made her too tired to keep company- that is." The summon replied with that final comment trailing back to her partner who hadn't retreated as first intended. [/colo] In fact Kyla had lowered her book in time to return Stevens smile and nodded toward him and... his ummons most likely who didn't respond very much. They didn't seem very friendly at first, but then again she couldn't be sure their nature as their likeness was surprising and she was trying to ascertain what summon they actually were. Meeting the gaze of the rest of them her face softened a littl and her shoulders relaxed. " I guess I could... if yd have me. I can't remember the last time I had such an indulgence." Not since coming here at least, so she made to follow to where the ' gathering' would take place in the company of the famous pirate.

[ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 28] [Noelle : Disney Castle : Mirage Arena] "It's been precisely," Noelle mockingly counted on her fingers, eyes turned up as if in remembrance, "Zero days since I've had such an indulgence . . . Based on a technicality . . . time shenanigans . . . what do you expect, I'm wine mom."
The agromancer giddily bolted for the stairs before anyone could so much as snicker, calling out, "Hey Feather! Please tell me you have some good mixers! But no chasers, chasers are for bitches."

[Dani :~: Beach :~: Mirage Arena:~: Day 8] Cue: OST Trinity Seven - LAST CREST Dani had been spending a little bit of time wandering the arena looking for no one in particular. She was not entirely sure why she was drawn to the beach but there she was. Before her, she saw someone currently having their face in a book with what to her at the time looked like a blanket. She casually walked onto the beach wearing a black tank top with blue shorts. When she finally stood next to the studying person, she saw what she originally was a blanket was actually the person’s white mage coat. She did the best she could of taking off her own jacket before folding it over across her elbow.
“Do you mind if I sit next to you? I kind of wanted to talk to you and catch up.” Dani spoke quietly as she rubbed her unoccupied arm in nervousness.

[Here Comes A Thought: 2] [Joseph: Beach: Mirage Arena: Day 8]
The white mage looked up from his book, his hair in his face from having been bent over. With a swipe up of his hand, it was moved, swished to the side and back. He was reading up on healing techniques. Nothing he couldn't properly handle, but he felt...behind, shifting this late compared to some of the others. So he was trying to brush up on his knowledge instead of winging it on instinct and practice alone. Still, he was somewhat surprised to see Dani here. They'd had some pleasant conversations before, but both Dani and Joseph tended to keep more to themselves. Well, Joseph was sure about himself, at the very least. "Go ahead." He even shifted to the side, patting his robes to offer her a seat. They were nice if he wanted to cover up, but for once he wanted some warmth and light on his skin, hence the blue shorts and blue tanktop, his feet bare as they just toed the line between robe and sand. But never usually in the sand itself. Then he'd just get sand everywhere. Once Dani got herself seated, he finished the page he was reading and closed the book, looking to his fellow water user. "So, what's up?"

[Dani :~: Beach :~: Mirage Arena:~: Day 8] Dani put down her own coat next to Joe’s robe before sitting on it. Since her coat was obviously not as big as Joe’s robe, she sat partially on his. “So I have been thinking a lot recently about things that have happened in the past,” Dani sighed before looking over at the water user. ”I figured if there was one person to talk to about this with, it might as well be someone who is considered a water brother at this point.”
She then focused on the ocean in order to calm herself. “I feel like I might have screwed up pretty bad during the last fight that we had with the darkness,” Dani said, curling up her knees into her chest. “A lot went wrong for everyone I assume. That last fight though, everything I did was used against you guys. My water, my abilities. And even then it felt so useless.”
”Do you remember when a bunch of water was raining down on us” Dani inquired. “That is one of my abilities. I screwed up when I was storing water mana into the ground. The darkness used it to do major damage to the party and form clones that even I couldn’t escape from. I also get the feeling that it may have used some of my statuses on people.”
"I got so upset and angry my weapon changed into… something that wasn’t good" Dani whispered. "It has been weighing on me ever since I first found out something that I have not really mentioned to the group. Thankfully my weapon at the time changed back to normal but it just goes to show I am… partially her.”

[Here Comes A Thought: 4] [Joseph: Beach: Mirage Arena: Day 8] Joseph nodded as he listened, eventually staring at the slowly churning waves as he was processing it all. He even somewhat understood what she meant by 'her'. Well he guessed. After all, he had a him. With a sigh, the male scratched at his stubble. "Okay so first things first, that darkness thing literally used everyone. Or most everyone. I try not to remember too hard. So I can't...exaaaaaaactly say 'don't worry about it'? But I do understand. And it sucks, I know. But at least try to remember it's not your fault."With another sigh, and another chin scratch, he continued. "As for the weapon...as far as I can tell they can change shape, somewhat. I mean...mine changed recently." In a flash of light, suddenly he was holding his whip a shield. "Plus the axes before. And the staff before that. But simple style seems...a bit more easily feasible without a dive. As for getting closer to her weapon..."He waved his hand in an almost dismissive manner. "We have to remember that the replicas come from us. They literally are a part of us, but only a part. We have the good to counteract the bad, while they have just the bad. So...yes. You're partially her. And partially Az...Azrael god his name is so pretentious who names themself after an angel of death what the hell..."The male blushed a little. "I got on...a couple different tangents. But the point is that you-we-need to remember that we are more than them. Better than, in a few ways. Does...does that make sense? Or help?"

[Dani :~: Beach :~: Mirage Arena:~: Day 8] “I will try to remember it isn’t my fault. This kind of reminds me of when I talked to Louis before he… met his demise so to speak,” Dani spoke before pointing to the ocean. “Fun fact: I briefly talked to him about her down at the bottom of the ocean in my space. It was weird… talking about her for the first time."
Dani finally turned to Joe before speaking. “I guess I never really talked to anyone about her huh. I met her. I just never really got the time before to say ‘Hey I met my replica!’ I was also somewhat scared before of what she did to me. Back in Atlantis was where I met her. It was during the giant battle in the ocean against the army of heartless. I don’t really remember where everyone was but all of a sudden, I was dragged into the center of that army. Finally she stopped and she… ‘chatted with me.’”
Dani’s face turned into disgust as she continued. ”She mentioned some horrible things to me. She played off of my insecurities about this group and then when she said everything and broke me emotionally, she did one thing that has never happened to me before. She took my arm and just broke it. Luckily she didn’t snap it in two but I have never broken a bone. At that point, she left and the heartless started to swarm around me. After that, I mean I tried to fight them one handed but I think I knew and was getting ready to accept death. I guess you can say luck or something told me to hold on because Kyla somehow found me in the sea of heartless and I was able to swim out.”
“Since then, her words still play in the back of my head,” Dani looked solemnly at the sand. “It has gotten better a little, at least until we fought the darkness. I can understand what you mean though that I am partially her. It just sucks that she didn’t just hurt me a little bit physically. She went for emotional damage and succeeded.”
“As for her name, she decided to play off of what my mother did and took my middle name. Her name is Ashley” Dani finally concluded. The weight of saying her name was heavy against her.
