Emily reached the ice, and stared only breifly, eying it over before beginning to resume her run. And within moments, she proceeded to spew a few swears as her feet slipped out from under her, and she fell flat on her frozen cold bottom, squeaking as she spun. Getting up wasn't much better - she kept skidding out, and moved across the ice, occasionally falling, or wobbling. Overall...
No. She did not like ice nor know how to move on it.

The ice was not funny. Ally frowned, glad her shoes were grippy before slowly reaching out. The ice was slippery and cracked, and Ally wasn't convinced she wouldn't slip, despite good, grippy shoes. Very slowly, she moved, stepping around cracks and crevaces, wincing as some grew, and some shrank, making a face before grunting, nearly tripping on one as she walked.
"Bleh." She murmured, stepping around one person who fell on her bottom, sighing softly.
Jeremy did not want to fall, and while he didn't care about the castle or the decorations, he just wanted to get to the finish line without falling on his a**. Myles was close to him, so he knew he wouldn't lose his brother once they finished the race. He just had to make it there.

The candy seemed to have entranced Myles; he was incredibly distracted by the sheer beauty of the castle. He carefully scooted across the slippery ground, taking more time than he needed just so he had an excuse to admire the intricate work for longer.
Man that castle was impressive. . . . Gala hadn't expected anything nearly as grandiose looking, though wasn't this here to start with? She couldn't really remember. There was a frown but she couldn't help but laugh as she had fun. When she entered the castle she realized the floor was slippery and slick. Oh wait, she could use this! She started sliding around the floor, there was a bit of a zig-zag pattern but it didn't help a lot to get her in the front, but the girl knew she passed a couple of people.

Kata and Zoya Spectating
Zoya hadn't been expecting the castle, but thankfully they had a good view of the tv monitors that were showing them what was going on. Well they were more like set up projector screens, but still. It showed everything and she cheered as she watched Gala slide on. "That looks like fun!"
Kata was laughing as she watched her sister slide through, "Oh my god, she reminds me of a penguin." She was trying not to laugh so hard she couldn't breathe but this was great as she watched everyone else too, not just Gala.

And, they're back!
The race is coming to an amazing close! There have been some remarkable feats of dexterity, and certainly everyone who participated is a winner! This was, after all, for the children--and donations have poured in following the broadcasting of this event!
The Charity Run has collected a grand total of four hundred pounds of food, three hundred unwrapped toys--and Destiny City Memorial Hospital will be collecting just over one million dollars to help in expanding and improving their pediatric wards! They'll be delivering thanks to all the corporate sponsors that matched donations (and went above and beyond with their own), all the individuals who ran, and everyone who donated while watching the race broadcasted live.
The winners will recieve personal thanks from the coordinator of the race, the medical director of Destiny City Memorial Hospital, and the mayor herself.
Coming in third place is Kailey O'Carroll. In second place, Jeremy. The first place winner of this race is none other than Tom Wolf! Congratulations everyone, and thank you for your participation!
