Rawr!! Fact: Ancient Corinth in Greece was incredibly strategically significant. It had a massive monolithic acropolis and two ports on an isthmus, which controlled trade for the surrounding areas. In war time, they could also have cut off the peninsula's access to the mainland or vice versa. And yet, we hear about Athens and Sparta more...

Rawr!! Fact: Those Danishes you might have for breakfast aren't actually from Denmark--the pastry was brought there by Austrian bakers when Danish pastry chefs went on strike in the 1850s.
