just beat the game a min ago xd . the game...........was okay sad . overall, the intro theme was horrible gonk . i didn't get any chill's or nothing stare . they should have just went with the trailer on gametrailer.com . thats what really excited me about the game. i feel like the suikoden series is losing something but i don't know what yet. i really didn't like how you could only use 4 people sad . i thought that would be kinda neat too have all the knights do some 6hit combo. i thought the little water base combo of the knights was a little goofy xd . snowe really suprise me at the end cause i didn't think he was a good player at the beggining but, at the end, that true friendship combo was awesome 3nodding . i couldn't get his pirate clothes though but i got his noble clothes. the only tough thing about the game was getting money cause i didn't have the prosperity orb yet and it took me along time to save up to make my weapons stronger. Ted was pretty cool in the game. i didn't just notice untill now but, how did Ted get any older after he got his rune? he was 6-8 years old when he got the rune in suikoden 1 when they went threw his past. viki, lenakatt, mcdohl look the same with there runes when years went by. it looks like jeane gotten older in the other suikoden series unless they didn't know what they wanted her too look like whee . was it really necassary to make those so big heart xd ? i'm hoping in number 5, you can use 6 characters in battle again, the intro has more feeling instead of mixing french music with japanese....terrible mix xp . a better rune that doesn't try to kill you when you use it lol. i would really like to see mc dohl again or the hero from suikoden 2 again 3nodding i've connected with both of those games and the hero's personallity really well and its like there my best friends or something confused . its weird i know, but, there true runes fits there character perfectly and there really strong. i would love it too use those two again in another suikoden adventure heart

1 - La Mer was a fitting and nice intro.
2 - I always have and always will say "At least you can control more people than in Suikoden 3"
3 - Leknaat actually changes in look a couple of times. And Ted only aged because even though they don't die, they do age, but at a slower pace.
4 - The rune of punishment hardly kills you in game, and I think this rune was cool. So far we have alot of TR covering alot of entities. This only showed another one.
5 - You want to much of Suikoden 1 and 2 in the new games, but like any series, you really shouldn't do that. Then the game will be ridiculed for being a carbon copy of the old games.

To end it, I also agree that Suikoden 4 was okay, but those things I've clarified are not the bad things about the game, IMO.

1. it doesn't match the feelings of the suikoden series of music past down. number 3 was the best intro i ever seen. 3nodding .

2. are you talking about the ship battles when you can switch between 3 parties?

3. yeah, that just hit me at the last min. that maybe they age super slowly including it was like 150 years, something is bound to happan in that time xp .

4. yeah, the rune never came close to killing me, but, sometimes when you have in mind to use it one more time, then heal him, the monster always does some attack that kills you and you think ' if i didn't use that rune, he still be alive'. i mostly just use the rage orb. the everlasting move was pretty cool cause it didn't take any hp.

5. yeah, i kinda like it the way it was before. number 3 was pretty good. number 4, it just felt weird cause the suikoden series were base on alot of caves, dungeons and ground war fights. they really flip it on us with all the fresh air kinda thing sweatdrop . it was kinda like a fresh start but, theres something missing and i can't put my finger on it sad .

1 - But it's not meant to mimic or be like the previous ones. Every Suikoden theme went with the game it was currently in, and Suikoden 4 did the exact same thing.

2 - No. If you think about it, in Suikoden 3 you was only able to control 3 characters. In Suikoden 4, obviously 4.

1. well, when you put it that way, i guess the intro went with the game, but still, i didn't feel any emotion too it.

2. yeah i know what you mean now. i don't have number 3 anymore and i completely forgot about the battle system sweatdrop . yeah i guess its good that you were at least able too control 4 people.

lol i wish i took off all my equipment when i beat the game so i wouldn't have to worry about it when i start a new game. even though i have alot of money, it would run low as soon as i upgrade my equipment and weapons sad . including, my prosperity orb was still on one of my characters when i beat the game crying . that would have been great to have two of those 3nodding

I still didn't beat the game yet, but I'm getting there. I just want to know how do you use supporting characters? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question. sweatdrop

Supporting characters are used automatically at the end of a battle. The only thing you need to do is select which supporting character you want in your party at the moment (a healer, a treasure hunter, etc.)

The only thing I dislike about support characters is that they don't tell you how useflul they are as did Suikoden 3. Now you just have to guess who you think is the better healer, etc.

Ohh,I was in fights waiting for the supporting characters to heal and they never did. Well that explains everything sweatdrop Thank you!

You'd think the doctor would be the best healer...but who knows. Silly Suikoden IV never mentioned who was better. If not the doctor, I always went with Rikie...since ya know, she's had previous experience with the rune. She seems more like a part of the storyline then any of the other healer-supports.

Ok

1) Acording to the guide (not fog ship one) Ted has been on that ship serving that thing for 150 years or so

2)I did like Controling 3 different people

3)I agree that 3's intro was the best

4) I did not like having to fight 10 then 10 then 20 battles to upgrade my characters Combos.

5) Keep Rita-pon, it's addicting!! xp

6) Kill Micky, and .....well really no one else

7) Is it just my or did some things get a little repetative

8. I prefered the Group Battles (replaced by naval) in S3, though it was nice for a change

That's about it whee

True, but then when it went to others that really haven't much status in the game, you have to figure it out.

For instant, the treasure hunters. Most of the treasure hunters, don't really seem like treasure hunters.

I'm sorry but I have to ask this... sweatdrop I'm on the middle of Chapter 7 and I'm recruiting people. Does anyone know where the Deserted Island is? Because a little north east of Morodo Island, I found an island but it won't let me land...is that it?
