Her face whitened when Alois mentioned the dead nurse and she gaped, just a bit. What an absolute t**t. She made a mental note to jab him extra hard if he came in to get blood drawn. ...No, she couldn't do that. Unfortunately, he managed to knock her rather speechless. After a deep breath, Temperance turned to the people left. "If one of you is hurt enough to require stitches, please follow me to where I have proper supplies for your ca-" Her sentence was cut off by the sound of Connor yelling. Connor never yelled, not unless it was important. She pointed back towards the area where Nasir and Aleksy rested. "Go there, okay - ask for nurse Harris or me; we can dress you." And then she was off, running, dodging around people. It pained her to leave someone who obviously needed help, but it sounded like there was a worse injury. "Connor!" She skidded to a halt near the men, immediately dropping to her knees. "Gut wound? What else?" She scanned his body, digging out a neat pair of small scissors from her bag and passing them to Connor. "Don't peel off the fabric - it'll make it worse, but you know that." He already had Thorne in the correct position, but getting the half-delirious man to stay was another task. Quickly, she tried to bring up what she knew about gut wounds. Everything was so different when it was a real person! She jerked a thumb at Rylan. "You his friend? Keep holding that pressure - I'll prep some dressings." Temperance began to pull out gauze rolls and fold them. The neck gash might need packing, but he wasn't spurting so that... was that. She leaned down and spoke calmly into Thorne's ear. "Hey, I need you to listen to me, to the sound of my voice. Do not move; do not talk. We are helping you so do not move - can you do that for me?" The gut wound was more pressing than the neck wound, though both were serious. She sat back up. "Keep the scraps of shirt, Connor. Extra padding." Twisting open a water bottle, she began to dampen the pile of gauze she had. It could go down first, then the remains of the shirt, then... plastic wrap, she thought. Was there anything they could use in lieu of that?

"I'm yelling, because I'm trying to get some god damn help over here." Connor replied, "Now try not to move any more than you already have, and keep your knees bent if you can. Focus. I know it's difficult, but you need to." He wasn't actually sure if the guy could hear him, or was listening, but even if he couldn't, the talking helped to ground Connor, to keep him in the moment, to keep him working and moving and thinking about what to do next. "Ya, good, keep him awake." He nodded, while speaking to Rylan. Connor's mind was racing, even as his fingers worked to pull at the fabric, though in the places where it was stuck to whatever was beneath, he was more careful, though he became increasingly frustrated as his fingers slipped and fumbled against the soaked fabric. Scissors. He needed--- As if right on cue, Temperance had joined them, and was adding in her expertise on top of what Connor already knew. Nodding to her, he snatched up the scissors and set back to work, while answering Rylan's questions...even if he was just rambling to himself. "We can try and stabilize him. Pack his wounds, stop the bleeding, wrap him up, but from then on it's going to be a matter of ******** time. He needs a hospital, and sooner rather than later would be ideal." He finished exposing as much of the man's abdomen as he dared, his hands now slick with blood. Grabbing some of the towels, he attempted to wipe away as much blood from Thornes stomach as he could, as carefully as possible and held them there, not daring to press against them but just..doing what he could to stem the flow of blood until the dressings could be applied. "Don't suppose you know where we could get some plastic wrap, around here?" He said, to nobody in particular, voicing out loud what Temperance was already thinking. "Maybe that fat guy can find some for us." Hell, at that point he'd be happy with a ******** garbage bag.

Eve sighed defeatedly back at Nasir. "You're probably right. I might cause more panic instead of calming things down, and if you go instead that means at least one of us can get some medical help." Striding carefully forward -- she was getting gradually re-accustomed to legs, although each step meant a burst of pins and needles -- she came to sit down next to him and Aleksey again, quickly moving to pluck some of the abundant fur out of her tail. "But if this is going to work, you'll need to look more the part..." The fur was compared to the hair on Nasir's head. It was just close enough in shade to be convincing. "Let's fill out those eyebrows and add some extra touches." anyone who wants to help with this venture lmao

Nasir blinked and watched as Eve plucked up hair from her tail and then was biting at his lip. "If you think it'll work. I can do it. I don't like lying but ..." he took a breath and nodded at her. "I can do this so we can get help. We need to get people out of here, especially the ones that just came downstairs and Aleksy ..." He smiled at her, at little lopsided and tired. "So time for a hairy makeover?" ANYONE WHO WANTS IN ON THIS SHENANIGAN

Maeve limped into the mess and chaos with a grunt of effort, bloody and barely functional, but still kicking. Still ******** kicking. She turned her eyes to the area, surveying the crowds, smelling the sickly wet stench of blood and vomit and fear. She noticed a woman a few feet away, where another man was commenting on... a hairy makeover? "Hey," she said to Eve, "What are you doing over here? Things are getting worse upstairs, and I need to..." She worked her mouth, lipstick stained and indistinguishable from her blood. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She finally ended on. "Looks like this guy's about to get a lot hairier, and I know a few things about award-winning Halloween costumes." After all, Eve looked like a woman in charge her s**t. And she also had a tail. And she was also sane. cibarium crashes this party did someone say makeover azuredreams HEY THE MAKEUP EXPERT IS HERE hi

Eve looked up from laying bits of fur neatly down in a pile -- there was now a visible bald patch emerging on her tail -- to look at Maeve. "Hi," she smiled wearily. "I convinced the police outside a 'contagion' someone was talking about is actually someone with wolfman syndrome. Now they're asking for some living proof, and if they buy it they'll send some paramedics in to help us." Yup, that made total sense when summarized aloud.

Chester jumped like he'd been caught doing something he shouldn't have been, because... yeah, maybe sewing people up without clean tools had been a devastatingly bad idea. He went from bloodless and pale with shock to blotchy pink at the response from the guy with the suture thread, every word out of the German's mouth making him regret having come over here at all. He was usually rather stoic in the face of innuendo. It was probably the accent.
Ducking his head and muttering, "Sorry," at the women he'd disturbed, Chester trailed after the belligerent young man and watched as he pushed the call button. He'd been over here earlier pulling at the doors, but oddly enough, no one had tried actually summoning the thing the conventional way. "If it's coming from upstairs, there might be something unsavory inside," he advised. Well, that sounded idiotic. "Just watch out."

"Yeah, I need to look ... um, like what she said." Nasir was still biting at his lip every so often, looking towards Eve and then down to her tail and back to her face. Clearly so very worried about her doing what she was to her tail. "If you can help it look more realistic ..." His hand may have reached out to grab Eve's briefly and squeeze it momentarily.

Cataleen watched Alois go, mouth slightly agape. His large friend followed soon behind. She was relieved to see the both of them go. She didn't the large man would have actually held her down, but the other one... yeesh. Maybe it was just how he handled stress, but he seemed dead inside, if feelings had ever lived there to begin with. "That man has the emotional empathy of a napkin." she stated, turning back to Juniper and Temperance. She was so, so glad that there finally seemed to be someone with actual medical knowledge here! And then, just as quickly, she was gone, off to help someone with a more dire need. "Well, thank you for staying, Juniper. Do you think you could help me over to where she was pointing? Maybe Nurse Harris can see to me." she asked.

"Seems legit," Maeve replied lightly, even though her eyes said something else entirely. "Give me a second." Turning on her heel, she scanned the crowd. Thankfully, the booth she'd run was nearby - trampled and disorderly, but still there. Dragging herself as quickly as she could, Maeve retrieved the tote bag she'd stashed beneath the table and turned, already working to find her makeup kit as she returned to Nasir and Eve. "Sit still," she said to Nasir with a wicked smile, "Pretend you're on the set of a movie, little star." Because they needed some ******** paramedics. "Aha!" Maeve yanked a small tube of eyelash glue from her makeup kit and turned to Nasir, gesturing for Eve to give her some hair. "I have scissors if you want to make that easier. Small zip on the inside," she added to the other woman before getting to work. She wasn't gentle, pulling at Nasirs face and neck and applying fur where she could until honestly - he could either be a very hairy man or a very realistic version of Tyler Posey from Teen Wolf in full alpha get up. "Honestly, I deserve a pat on the back for this s**t," Maeve said, relishing in the familiarity of makeup application. "I should have been a ******** makeup artist." azuredreams thank god for eyelash glue maeve wears fake eyelashes all the time yo

In any other situation this would have been impressively hilarious, but as it were Eve gave a pinch of Nasir's new hair a curt tug to see if it would stay put, nodding in approval when it refused to budge. "I'm praying to every name I can think of this'll work. Thanks for your help. It looks like things have gotten serious upstairs, so I'm going to see if I can do something."
She got up, dusted loose bits of fur off her skirt, and made her way carefully upstairs.

So feminine hygiene products weren't exactly what he was looking for but hell if they weren't useful in a pinch. Ian took plenty, some in his pockets (those of his jeans and the shirt tied around his waist) and in his hands, at the ready. It seemed others found similar but the redhead didn't engage them for now and set to work on finding somewhere he could be useful. That somewhere came with a loud shout. He wasn't keen on getting into the thick of things, seeing as he had no formal training, but Ian hurried over with what supplies he had. Thankfully, someone with medical training was here and Ian was all ears for the blonde to give him directions. He surveyed their situation, their supplies; much of it was makeshift but there was nothing to complain about, it all was serving its purpose. Although... Ian had a similar thought to Temperance, then, and looked for anything else they had on hand to properly wrap and tie with. "Hang on," he said as he hopped to his feet and fished around one of the nearby booths. Some of them were decorated with a slew of different materials but the ones that stuck out most immediately to Ian were the cheap colorful plastic tarps across a few counters. He tugged one experimentally and, when the consistency seemed right, set to work on dislodging and carrying it back. It might have been colorful and likely from the dollar store but it would work in a pinch and that was what they needed right now. healz 4+1

Nasir went very still and sat very straight, especially when Maeve told him to and moved easily when she was pulling and pushing at him. He blinked and touched at his face when Maeve was finished and nodded briefly towards Eve (head leaning as she tugged as well). "Be careful! I'll, ah ... I'm going to do my best too," he replied and was pushing himself up to stand after giving Eve a briefly worried look. She looked strong and her walk, even if it looked a little unstable, was confident. The very slight swish certainly said enough about the woman. The young man gave Maeve a nod of thanks. "Thanks, but I'm going to ..." His hand flicked towards the path out, the one that had been barred, and he was heading towards the exit and the police cordon like they had called for. Hopefully, hopefully they would believe him and what he had to say because ... Well. Maeve had done a fabulous job and he definitely wanted them to get all the help they could. They needed out; there were too many injured. shibrogane Nasir is going out to the police.LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO THIS PRESH INJURED CINNAMON BUN. *quietly hopes police are not immune to nasir effect; look at this presh child why would he ever lie to you, he is perfect and wonderful and hairy and why did people hurt him?*

Rabbit had sank into sullen contemplation by the time he came across Wil's boyfriend being pawed over by an injured redhead he'd never seen in his life. Not that he recognized Nasir either, even though he had been speaking to him not a half an hour ago. He squinted as a third person, the patchy-tailed fox woman from before, took her chances upstairs, and when he looked back at the newly hairy young man, something clicked.
"Oh, hey! Trail Mix! Good luck." He had no idea what the kid was doing, but it seemed like the thing to say.i don't know if these rolls do anything without corresponding helping rp, but rabbit lacks the skills with which to assist so i leave the decision as to whether or not they count in someone else's hands yay

Like a boon from above or a short angel, Ian had descended upon them with a tarp. Which was exactly what was needed. "There's only so much we can do here." Trusting Connor to move his hands, she positioned the moist bandages on top of Thorne's wound. They couldn't have anything stuck to him there - it would make everything worse. Damp bandages, another layer for cushion, then plastic to keep the moisture. "Thanks," she said gratefully, glancing up at tarp boy. Finally, another person who was being useful. "Connor, can you and him get the tarp round his middle? Don't tie it over the wound." And with that, her attention turned to Thorne's neck wound. Temperance trusted Connor to do a good job, despite his a*****e-ish ways. She frowned - if he didn't have such an abdominal wound, she could have cleansed his slash with the vodka. But doing that now would only make me thrash and they couldn't afford movement that might make the gut wound worse. Those things could be sucking gaping things, riddled with infection and slow to heal. At least his intestines hadn't been spilling out. Still, it was a very, very good thing Temperance had an iron stomach. Slowly, she reached over and pressed her hands on Rylan's, trying to take over. "Let me." She could pack the wound and wrap it securely. It'd bled through any bandage before they were out, but it would do. It had to. In an ideal situation, she could stay with Thorne, monitor him closely. This was far from ideal.
