Super Corrupt Amphitrite

Perhaps it wasn't quite concern... but bar Poppy, well, and Axton she supposed, so few had expressed it that the senshi readily recognized it in her voice. And although she was loathe to accept such things, lest anyone perceiving her as anything but strong and capable - well, as much as Amphitrite still did not want to be assumed weak by someone she admired so deeply, at the same time, it felt good to think she'd made enough of an impact that Alkaid cared. Her words made the corrupt super smile, and truly, there was no time for more than that. As someone who'd never known Metallia's true voice, to hear it now left her awestruck.

The suddenness of a hand in her hair, gentle and light, almost made her start. Her eyes widened slightly when she realized the tender gesture came from Alkaid herself, and something in her warmed, blossoming into her cheeks in a way she swore she was incapable of now. The hand lingered, settling on her shoulder, and the unspoken promise of a 'later' to be had made her smile, and this one was positively radiant, much more like herself than the last.

Although honestly, as Metallia spoke, some part of her couldn't help but think some of the disappointment must have been reserved for her. After all the effort to corrupt and train her, she'd been taken captive, been utterly useless when the Negaverse was in need. Guilt and regret churned in her, especially with the mention of Laurelite, her eyes downcast for a moment or two before she regained herself, setting her jaw almost stubbornly. If anything, the hand on her shoulder showed that others still saw promise - those that mattered most - and yes, most of all, Amphitrite knew she was capable of more. If there were any that remained unconvinced after this, they would know soon enough how wrong they were.

When Laurelite came back, she would be proud. She would be back.

The question was hardly uttered before Amphitrite knew the answer. "Of course, " she breathed readily, nodding eagerly. "I would love to, general."

Another general approached, this one with hair of black and pink. Although his interests were in Alkaid, it did not stop her from regarding him with a polite nod. Her eyes glinted as he asked the ascended senshi to take on two of his own, one of them a super senshi like herself that she'd not yet heard of. Glorious; Amphitrite was always thrilled to meet more of her own.

Lieutenant Kainite

Oblivious, dense, or just relieved he didn't have any gaping holes in his chest, Kainite lifted his hands in a pacifying way and shot Hydra a careless kind of smile. "Hey, hey, just checking. No offense meant magic lady. I mean, I know there's some weird stuff, but like... just, wow, holey senshi Batman, you know?" He took a minute to laugh at his own joke, edging over to nudge her gently in the side with his elbow like 'eh? eeeeeh?'. "But seriously. If I shined a flashlight in there, would I be able to unsee it? - would I be able to see your brain or something?"

He had to laugh, though, at his general's retort, flashing Aurostibite a chipper smile. "Of course it's not! Man, you're funny, bossman." He tapped his chin, slapping the fist of one hand into the palm of his other happily as he declared, as if it were a revelation, "Take all those blues and greens, though, swap them for black, and you'd probably make a pretty impressive Batman. Bossman. Close enough, right? - who's your Robin, though?"

Then he went quiet for all of Metallia's speech, maybe somewhat to everyone's relief. Mostly because he was listening. Thundering voices of superpowered Negaverse overlords and weird ghostly apparitions with no faces would do that, and he wanted to make it big here. That much he was legitimately serious about, for all appearances otherwise.

All said and done, choices laid out before him, Kainite listened as their general addressed them. Although really, given the situation, where else was he really going to go? - especially when Aurostibite made it a point to talk about attitude while giving him smoldering eyes like that. Definitely talking about him. The lieutenant puffed out his chest a bit, happy to be called out for what was clearly a stellar performance as an officer. See that? Watch and learn, newbies!

"I go where you go, bossman!" he declared eagerly, taking a wide step towards him.

Lieutenant Angelite

None of the options had sounded appealing, especially for a greenhorn Lieutenant with absolutely no hand-to-hand combat experience. Traps? She might be able to figure out how to defuse certain snares and pitfalls, but Angelite was no Indiana Jones by any means. If anything, she'd only be worth tagging along if anyone experienced superficial injuries - and even then, what sort of medical supplies did one have in a magical world full of shadow demons?

The stethoscope "weapon" remained in her pocket, the woman refusing to even acknowledge its existence. It had to be nothing but a right of passage, a hazing technique for the newcomers to the Negaverse. Useless weapons compared to their Captain and General counterparts.

Obsidian had laughed - of course he would - before declaring his intent towards conquering the Cave. Their great and powerful leader required a jewel from within its depths. Geez, this task was beginning to sound more Indiana Jones-like than she'd care to think about.

"That takes out the eeny-meeny-miney-mo, doesn't it?"

Her attention turned towards the dark-haired Captain, Angelite taking the opportunity to unleash a laugh of her own, a genuine feeling of ease coming over her and replacing the growing anxiety. "Regardless, I think I'd rather take my chances on his side, rather than the spider's."

One hand moved to cradle her elbow, both arms folding themselves across herself as she lingered close to the group, appreciating the casual humor during the otherwise very serious atmosphere surrounding the endeavor they were about to partake.

"Lieutenant Angelite, by the way." Introductions seemed odd, considering current circumstances. Knowing names might come in handy, however, should any of them have a reason to call for support. "Can't really say I foresaw myself spelunking by the end of today."

Eyes scanned the groups as they began forming into three sections. The half-youma in red and black seemed to have sided along with the Cave group, which added some relief to her concern, along with several others - none of which she knew, but that was an unfortunate side effect of being the newest recruit in their ranks. Surely despite the small number of participants heading towards the Cavern, they had enough power on their side to succeed with minimal loss?

Only time would tell.

Lieutenant Angelite is going to the Cave.

Eternal Sailor Atë & Guardian Cat Lyssa - late to the party as usual

Atë had sat back from the others, her eyes watching the crowd linger and talk, felt the surprise and panic, the curiosity and fear pouring off them all as they mused over what would happen in this place. She had not been here when the invasion happened, hadn't helped the Negaverse in their time of need. Instead she had been in some forgotten part of the rift, searching for some hidden clue that would enlighten her to the goal of ascension and nearly getting herself killed in the process.

If she felt ashamed at her failings to find anything it didn't show on her face, her emotions kept behind lock and key as she waited for the blunt hit Metallia was about to give them all. She knew there was only one reason to be called en mass after such an event.

Punishment.

And the corrupted didn't have to wait long to feel the voice of Metallia swim within her mind. She shuddered, the only reaction she gave to say she felt anything at the presence of her Queen. She knew the shadows were her as soon as she had appeared in the room, had felt the power, weak though it should be in a being such as herself, but it was unmistakable whose presence they were in. Now she formed in the shape of a woman, no features but again the power was unmistakable. Bowing she let her head drop in reverence as the Goddess berated them all, they deserved no less in earning her wrath.

Lyssa was sat on her shoulder, purring deeply, happy to be so near her creator and the walls of the Negaverse. Here she could hear herself and not the thousands of voices that threaten to pull her under out on the surface. Her she could help. She only had Metallia to thank for that and the cat purred even louder just in case her Mistress might hear her but the words she spoke in Ate ears were hitched with disappointment.

"You-U know, she could Kill you for such disobedience in failing her. I am surpRised she has even graced Us with her presence. If-f you were a weaker person Your deAth would be a small act of compensatiOn for such a defeat....but L-look. She gives you chances. Such...mercy..."
The cats whispers were almost too quite to hear but Atë did and knew the feline was making her aware that she should feel nothing but humbled and indebted at this opportunity to aid her Mistress. There was only one path she could take to do that.

"The rift...its takes my time up so much these days...but it is where I belong if I am to gain forgiveness." Standing she allowed Lyssa to fall from her lap and began walking towards the area Metallia had indicated. It didn't take her long to spot Alkaid, her eyes alighting at the ascended Senshi. Soon. Soon she would be like her. But first, there was a mission to undertake.

Captain Amethyst

Just as the officers, corrupted senshis and cats who had already gathered conversed among themselves while waiting for Metallia to address them all, Amethyst took to observing Xenotime, the relationship she shared with the two Lieutenants whom the General regarded as her own and the words that were carefully selected and tailored to two obviously very different individuals with a different set of expectations. Giving a nod to acknowledge Marcasite's name that was given to him, he found his attention drawn to Metallia who chose to speak the very next moment, altogether forgetting the fact that Natrolite never got round to introducing himself.

The recent invasion of NegaSpace, their base of operations, was a catastrophe. Metallia couldn't have put that across any better. Though he was spared the firsthand experience of being there when the Senshis and Knights invaded and clashed with their forces, there were the accounts of the many casualties who flooded the infirmary to go by, the sudden surge in numbers overwhelming the system entirely that it wasn't till close to a week later before they finally got on top of everything.

After Metallia was done telling them that they would need to split themselves into three groups for the tasks at hand, Amethyst turned his attention to Xenotime and awaited her guidance. He was not disappointed. "Understood General." He nodded his agreement to go along with what she had suggested, lingering just long enough till it was clear where the other three Lieutenants were heading. "Looks like we're meant to part ways for now. Good luck out there all of you."

With that, he started heading towards the group that had converged in the centre of the room.

Ascendant General Alkaid

Alkaid half-turned to a feeling of eyes upon her and seemed not at all surprised to find that her amber gaze met its golden counterparts in Labyrinthite. His approach was pointed, confident, all the things that marked a good leader and she found herself watching him, for the first time, as a General instead of the boy she had known so many years ago. Before he ever spoke there was a small smile at the corners of her lips.

It had been a long road, for them both.

When he stopped next to her and the rag-tag group of officers that had gathered near her or Obsidian, she let her hand slip from Amphitrite's shoulder to rest between the corrupt's shoulder blades. It was a small comfort meant to tell her that her presence was still wanted, no matter what Labyrinthite meant to speak next.

"Dia and Tourmaline.." Alkaid nodded slowly as she tested the names on her tongue, at the same time tracing her eyes out across the crowd until they landed upon the corrupt with large curls of cotton candy hair. That was Dia, no? Tourmaline must have been the one hovering nearby her shoulder. It was easier to keep track of corrupts than the constant influx of officers - but then again, there was also better reason for her to know them. They were important to her.

"Of course, General," she nodded as she met his gaze again, trying to read more from him than this business greeting, "be careful, would you?" Not that he would for her sake, or anyone's, but the stakes in this were higher than her calm eluded to. She did not wish to find him dead on her return.

There was a dismissive, polite nod before she applied a small pressure with the hand in Amphitrite's back and turned away from the General, urging the corrupt senshi to fall into step at her side. There was no backward glance for the General as she began an easy, graceful gait through the crowd - he would do what he would, live or die.

When she approached the small ragtag group, her eyes met both Dia and Tourmaline's in turn.

"I'm Ascendant General Alkaid. General Labyrinthite has requested you follow me to the Labyrinth," it was polite, but not up for debate if the small narrowing of her eyes was any indication. "Say your goodbyes quickly if you must." She let her bright eyes flicker out to the other agents standing nearby - they could follow, or they could leave, it was their choice to make. She had only been sent to claim the two.

"This is Amphitrite," a cracked hand raised and indicated the girl with tumbles of seafoam hair, "she will be joining us. I suggest you get acquainted - you will need to depend on one another where we are going."

Despite Alkaid's general affinity for elusiveness, Metallia's orders were not taken lightly by her. She was pleased, too, to see Ate moved to action. As Alkaid slipped past to join the group headed toward the Labyrinth, she managed to briefly catch Ate's eyes. All she offered was a small, approving nod as she watched her join the group in the Rift.

Alkaid is going to the Labyrinth

Corrupt Sailor Hydra

It was decided that the girl liked the red-headed general(Obsidian) and maybe even the older lady(Angelite) at his side. It was absolutely, positively certain that she liked them much more than the mouthy lieutenant(Kainite) who was still making comments about her physical appearance. She even liked the lieutenant(Bloodstone) who chastised her than the other boy. That one had at least been making comments out of respect for Aurostibite, she could respect that. Even if she didn't listen.

Of course, it seemed that luck favored Kainite when Metallia spoke and the voice rumbled through them oddly.

Like Alkaid, the presence of the all-powerful being was both thrilling and terrifying at the same time. She could feel the hair on her arm and the back of her neck stand on end, her heart rate thumping erratically in her chest. Her gloved fingers thrummed impatiently against her skirt as she soaked everything up.

In the end, all of the options sounded scary. She didn't want to go into the rift, she didn't know if she was strong enough to fight youma on her own, not yet. She'd only had one successful - and it wasn't really successful when that stupid old redhead lady showed up and ruined everything - practical combat exercise that wasn't training related. The Labyrinth sounded, sorta appealing, because Hydra like to think she had enough wits about her to do something but -

Staying with Aurostibite seemed like the smartest choice. Especially since Obsidian was going there too. "Where you go, I'm going," she said firmly to her general then she looked at Kainite with a glare. "Any more comments from you and you'll find my boot in your face."

She looked at the other girl at her general's side and offered an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I promise I'm not - he just - anyway, I hope we can work together well!" She liked the girl, she just didn't like Kainite.

Lieutenant Domeykite

A wave of relief hit Domey as he watched his General's eyes turn away from him to Aluminite - the only person in this place that he truly knew well enough to say he trusted him at his side in battle. Aluminite had done him countless favors and as he watched him accept whatever order he'd been given and head in his direction, he suspected he had just done him another.

Aluminite's words proved that true: he didn't have to deal with Labyrinthite - although, he supposed, it would have been safer to have had him nearby.

"Understood," he offered with a hesitant nod. ********. He couldn't bail out of this, could he? She would know, he thought, trying his best to keep his eye from twitching in the direction of their shadowy leader. She looked like something out of a lost Kingdom Hearts game - the final boss, maybe. His ability to relate his life to a video game didn't help ease his nerves in this situation and he only sighed as the broken china doll addressed the corrupt senshi at this side. He was all too happy to move on to the next part of this nightmare where he hoped against hope that everyone looked normal.

"See ya round, cupcake," he mumbled under his breath, avoiding Alkaid's eyes, "try not to get yourself killed."

He looked up at the older man at his side and jerked his head toward the crowd gathering for the cave. He was more than ready to be gone. As he fell into step, he knew Aluminite would be right there with him.

Lieutenant Marcasite

She would be a fool if she didn't sense the tension between Xenotime and Natrolite, nor could she miss the envy that seemed to pour off the man when their general spoke so highly of her. It did little to bother her, instead her lips quirked into a smirk and she arched a brow at him.

"Keep a close eye on me then, I wouldn't want you to miss anything," she cooed, going so far as to wink at him while Xenotime drew her closer and away towards the group gathering for the rift.

She waved her fingers at the captain (Amethyst) that took his leave, admittedly grateful that she wouldn't have too many additional eyes scrutinizing her besides the cheeky lieutenant who decided, ultimately, to join them in the bowls of the rift. "I do better with an audience anyway," she tossed at Natrolite cooly because, well, it was the truth. She made a living off of having an audience pay attention to her.

Maybe she'd fight better then too.

She looked at Prehnite as he decided to join their gaggle, even if she caught sight of corrupt with long beautiful blue hair (Typhon) tailing behind him, and grinned at both newcomers. "The more the merrier I think."

She liked the idea of having a group of people she could half-trust to watch her back.

Lieutenant Aluminite

It appeared that Aluminite did not need to relay their general's orders to Tourmaline and Dia because Alkaid arrived, introduced herself then relayed them for him. It was a relief to know that Labyrinthite cared enough to send someone to watch over the girls.

Well, someones considering who the cracked skinned woman had brought along with her.

He felt better about the whole thing, less bitter towards the man who'd forced himself upon Aluminite's life. Tough love was the reaper-general's way but he cared and in moments like this, it truly shined through.

"It's just you and me," he said to Domeykite, offering him a slight smile. They had a rockier relationship but it was built on trust and mutual dislike of Labyrinthite and he did, ultimately trust the green haired man with his life if it came down to it. Everyone needed someone who had their back, in this case, if he couldn't have Tourmaline, he wanted Domeykite.

Green eyes locked with matching ones when he looked at Tourmaline, "stay safe," he begged before turning on his heel and leaving with the other lieutenant for the cave.

General Xenotime

That was more of a reaction than she had been expecting from her oldest lieuteneant, but it was a favorable one, to say the least. If a little competition and blatant favoritism could get Natrolite to toe the line and seek to improve himself, then The fighter was definitely not above using such manipulations. She had begun to wonder if she really would have to kill him, or pump him so full of chaos it reduce him to the mindless obedience of a youma.

Amethyst took his leave with a bow, and the general smiles after him, pleased by the respect he showed her. Not a fighter, but smart, and an asset in his own right with that medical training.

So it would be three lieutenants accompanying her into the rift, along with Typhoon, who had finally chosen to seek her out. He also had a history of being a bit of pain in her a**, but not nearly as bad as the black sheep of her flock. They'd spoken, come to an understanding, and not had an issue since. "Where have you been hiding?" It'd been a while. "Off causing trouble and breaking hearts?" It was said with the quirk of a smile, a touch of laughter.

Cat Iolite + Captain Fangite

Iolite had half a mind to bite the fuzzy hand that, at times, fed her. She really really wanted too.

If it hadn't been for the fact that Evan had pried her claws out of the Captain's leg and had held them till she was nestled against him she probably would have taken a swipe at him instead. So she settled for growling and hissing at Sanidine from her newly acquired perch. "You best, is what landed him in this situation 'Captain'." The cat hissed. "I'd hate to see what happens when you're at your worst."

Fangite's lip twitched into a snarl behind his mask. "Keep it up and I will." He threatened. "I don't think you'd like the result of that though." Mostly because Fangite would make sure Sanidine wasn't a part of that 'something'. Nor would he be able to get to Evan again.

Super Sailor Typhon

"I wasn't hiding," Typhon responded, a bit of defensive surprise in his voice. How long had he been gone for anyways? What month was it? "I just re-subscribed to World of Warcraft and...oh."

"Oh," he repeated, the dreadful realization sinking in as the past few months flashed before him in a blur of dungeons, raids, Grindr hookups, 12-packs of Mountain Dew, and a haze of weed. "Oh ********, it's April. Oh, <******** paused and pulled himself together. "I mean, yeah, causing trouble and breaking hearts. You know how I roll. Lieutenant Natrolite

Marcasite spoke and the brunettes head tiled to the side, a finger pushing deep into ear and picking oh so unattractively. A gesture if you knew him was saying too much bullshit was clogging his ears. What a bit- "Mm break ah leg bay bay.." The man cooed when instructed to keep an eye on her. He'd do more than that, like laugh if she even so much as ******** stumbled. Cocky, prissy a** little thing had the gall to wink at him. Clearly Natrolite didn't play well when attitude was dished back, but that was ok it made everything so much fun!

So much fun, like when he heard the crack about an audience and responded with a chipper, "so do strippers." A wide wolfish smile spread lip and hands pushed deep into the pocket of his uniform.

Prehnite seemed to pop out of nowhere on him and gained a look of brief annoyance, then of course a proper look over. Not bad. He didn't seem nearly as intolerable as Amethyst the kiss a**. As they all walked along with Xe blues flickered across the various faces. There was at least a good deal of them now. Super Dia

She was almost too distracted to notice the two senshi approaching them, but the taller had an air of elegance and power that surrounded her on a level that Dia had never felt before. Metallia's had nearly been suffocating, this woman's was unsettling and strong. She walked with a purpose, her pale skin marred with not only familiar spots on her forehead and chest, but cracks and craters spread entirely across her. It was as if Metallia had been careless with her beautiful doll, dropping and shattering her skin - it was strange, unnerving.

Alkaid and the pretty seashell adorned senshi Amphitrite stood before the tiny group, the Ascendant General explaining her purpose for approaching them.

Dia felt her stomach sink as the instructions were dolled out. But Domeykite...the Pack...

Her hand had instinctively moved out to take hold of his arm, her grip gentle. It was nothing more than a symbol of Prissy's demanding tendency, her habit of always wanting to have her way. She wanted to argue, to stomp her heels over to Labyrinthite and point out that it made much more sense for them to go as a group, as opposed to splitting up.

Look at Scooby Doo, for instance. It never worked out well for anyone if the group split up!

"See ya round, cupcake"

He slipped from her fingers, making his way over to Tourmaline's angsty looking boyfriend (were they official yet? did it really matter? Dia didn't care - it was easier to refer to him as such and it'd be an extra bonus if it got KittyKat flustered). All she could simply watch as her sweet, frumpy little friend walked away.

"You better not get yourself hurt." She finally huffed after him, struggling to sound indifferent, maybe even slightly teasing. It was horrible, allowing her imagination to run wild and envision those she'd befriended becoming the next victims of this game of war they played in. It had been terrible enough to bear witness to the deaths that had occurred during the invasion, but to lose the ones she held close and dear?

Anxious fingers rose to stroke Lace as she confided to the kitten, "I would love to have you with us if you'll stay, sweetie."

She moved to sidle alongside Tourmaline, the only other soul she knew that was heading towards the Labyrinth, when she saw a blueish figure saunter his way towards the Labyrinth group accumulating.

"Grendel!"

The twenty-one year old dashed forward and unceremoniously plucked the fussy older Guardian cat up without warning, moving to cradle the larger feline and habitually bump her forehead against his. He was her oldest friend in this world of theirs and she wasn't going to let him out of her sight - not when they were putting their own lives at stake to run errands for their Almighty one.

He let out a small oompth at the gesture, but showed no resistance, save for maybe a reluctant glare when he noticed Lace on her shoulder. Dia was quick to return to Tourmaline's side, refusing the idea of being apart from her best friend. Head nodding towards the cat now in her arms, she introduced him, "This is Grendel - I've told you about him before Kit--Tourmaline, Lace. He's the one who saved me, the first night."

Covered in cats, pearls and a happier mood, Dia was ready to take on the task at hand...even if it meant she'd probably spend the majority of it worrying about both her separated friends and the chilling authority figure going with them.

Sailor Dia will go to the Labyrinth.
