 Well it wasn’t going as well as huginn would hope. The slime would dart under places that huginn didn’t try to go under since his wings would get in the way and then get hurt and then the slime would get sad or mad or something and headbutt huginn in the leg before running off again. Where any of his mom’s nezubats this aggressive? Well maybe Muninn’s birds but ugh he was going to get a bruise on his shin at this rate and then trying to explain that to his mother, but then it looked so sad. Ah well he had a couple more minutes he could spare.

 Eva just remained sitting their holding her plushie tight as she thought of her family. She really wanted to be with them right now, but they were nowhere in sight. If one if these slimes were willing to befriend her maybe it could cheer her up, but they didn't like it. It only caused her to still keep on crying, tightly hugging her plushie more. No one, not even another nightmare or daydream came to check on her. Did... did no one really like her after all? Was it all an act? She sure hoped not. Eva couldn't bare the thought of her family not actually loving her.

 Coming to her room, it looked like her roommate had managed to scare all the slimes off, her going to her bed and laying down. Why did she have to have these wings of hers? They served no purpose. None at all! They weren't pretty like some of the other mutated fallen and chimera she had seen, and they were unable to let her fly. Serious, what was the reason for her to have these stupid wings? There was none! How could anyone like her with these stupid wings of hers?! Hearing a slime in the room, she decided to ignore it, just letting her own thoughts on her wings take over her mind. Her wings were useless... she was useless.

Luckily his persistence paid off as he was currently standing there with the slime in his hands. It had been kind of embarrassing as he had made a dive and ended up falling into a bush, which of course had pulled on his wings to know end and he had branches everywhere. Luckily a good phasing got them all out but it had started the slime so much that when it hoped over to see if Huginn was alright he lashed out and caught it. It was currently sitting there cooing in his hands. When huginn tried to release it, it just promptly jumped in his bag. Ah… whelp looks like his house was getting another familiar .

Exodus followed after the little thing just just slimed his hair. He decided to go for a scoop and grabbed it right up! With a grin, he finally caught a little pest, and it was a super cute one at that! He went to find his little boy and show him his little taste of victory! Matty was slowly recovering from feeling like he was going to sob, but certainly not on top of things as getting back in the game still. He made a couple more grabs here and there, but this was going to take a little longer at this point!Katinka quirked a brow as she grinned. The little slimes were pretty dang fast! She would have to work at getting faster as she tried her damnest to get after them again!

 Selkie blinked seeing the chaos that was his school. Well he had to admit this was not what he had expected when he had come to school today. He adjusted his bag and tried to wade through the chaos that was school life today or at least he tried to until a particular slime glowed at him and started jumping on his head… oh he hadn’t seen that familiar before… in fact know he kind of wanted it. Welp guess he was joining the other students.

Matty finally got himself feeling back up to feeling better, but man... he was really debating on starting to work out or something after this. He took a grab at a nearby slime, but completely missed again! "I will get one of you little things!" he said, laughing some.Katinka took a crouching position, long tail whipping back and forth as she stalked a slime close by. With a playful growl, she launched herself at it, but overshot the target, tumbling a few feet away. "Drat!" she said with a huff!Karma decided to join the hullabaloo that was happening at the school. Of course she ended up a bit freaked out as she touched a slime, giving a little yelp.

He had almost grabbed it, his fingers had brushed against the slime but unfortunately in their chase neither the familiar or selkie had paid attention on where they were running and had ended up running into an area where the floor was still wet, both the nightmare hybrid and the slime went sliding down the floor and the slime had gone sailing past selkie and out of his reach. Luckily that was not going to deter the nixie hybrid for long.

Unfortunately his next dive had him sliding past the slime even faster, although to his credit his fingers had brushed the critter once again only this time his momentum had him sliding into the door. Oww that really hurt…. He was starting to think that maybe getting this new familiar wasn’t going to be worth it no matter how pretty it was.

 Of all the things that Ashlynn had imagined might bring her back to the University, being called in as extra muscle for catching wayward slime critters hadn't even graced her Top Ten. And yet, here she was, armed with a bit of cloth that would double as a capture bag. How hard could this be, really?
She answered her own question as she edged her way into an infested classroom and saw just how many slimes were bouncing about. Thinking quickly, she leapt for one of the critters, slinging the cloth out to try and cover the thing.
What she wound up catching was her air as the slime rolled out of the way. Okay, this was maybe going to be a little harder than she'd originally thought.
 Well, Zahneel thought as she stalked a small group of slimes, at least this time I don't have to worry about possibly destroying Headmistress' office...
It sort of helped resign her to playing critter catcher again. Not that she really minded, but the way these things had spread across the school was more than a little daunting. If these things had just been more confined, she thought. But what did she know? Maybe it would have been harder if all these things had been stuck in one room.
C'mon, girl, she scolded herself. Less woolgathering and more hunting. With that thought, she felt her tail begin to wag as she crouched and watched the slimes. After a moment, she leapt, clawed hands out to try and grip one of the things. She had just enough time to let out a distressed squeak as the slime rolled out of the way and she landed hard enough on the floor to briefly knock the wind from her lungs. Bugger, this was going to a chore.

Ashlynn had tried to get the cloth over another slime, only to see the thing bounce out of the way. Mouth slightly agape as she watched the slime act like a demented rubber ball, the only thing the chimera could think of was how much fun her own children would have watching these things.
Well, okay. To be fair, she couldn't help smiling as the slimes did their thing. But however much fun they were having, they needed to be gotten out of the school.
She jumped a little as one of the slimes bounced off of her shoulder and turned, hands out and clutching as she tried to seize the thing. Sighing a little as her hands met empty air, she began to wonder if her professors would accept a thesis on slime creatures. Because she had a feeling that she'd be here for a while and would have plenty of opportunity for observation.
Breath more or less back, Zahneel had decided to try the sit and look harmless method of catching critters. Though really, it was more of an excuse to gently rub at and prod her ribs to make sure she hadn't really hurt herself.
While she sat, she watched the various slimes bouncing around and giggled a little. She had to admit the things were cute enough. She held still as one managed to land on her head before rolling off and bouncing off. For a moment, she laughed harder before chastising herself and not having tried to catch it when it had been so close.
But really? Given how many ere around? She would have plenty of time and chances to rectify her mistake.

Fanning her wings gently, Ashlynn had tried to herd some of the slimes into a corner, thinking that they'd be easier to manage if she could get them packed together tightly enough. But rather than being packed, they continued to roll and bounce about. In fact, to her inexperience eye, it almost looked like they thought her capture attempts were a delightful new game.
"C'mon, little guys," she cooed. "Be nice and let me catch you. You shouldn't be keeping the kids from their classes."
Not that the kids minded, she thought. They were probably out trying to help and having a grand time of it.
Nearly breathless with laughter, Zahneel chased after some of the slimes, making occasional grabs for them, and then laughing even more when they bounced. No, this definitely was not like the Headmistress' office round up. She didn't have to hold back as much, for one thing.
"Gotcha!" she shouted as one slime got within claws-reach, only to roll out of the way at the last moment. "Or not!"

Ashlynn had given up on trying to be clever. Instead, she'd gone through the classrooms until she found a yard stick and had tied her capture cloth to it, creating an improvised net. After that, it was a matter of simply chasing after slimes and swinging the net around, hoping that a slime might accidentally roll into it.
It wasn't the greatest of plans, but it was the one that had a slightly improved chance of success.
Tail wagging furiously, Zahneel was pouncing around haphazardly as she chased after slimes. Sure, the slimes were a problem and needed to be removed from the school, but this was still fun!

Ashlynn had decided that, given how many slimes there were, it was a little silly to run after them. So instead, she'd climbed up onto the teacher's desk and stood there, watching and occasionally swinging out with her rigged net.
Really, she thought, I have as good a chance this way as running myself ragged.
The more she chased, the more Zahneel was starting to notice somewhat distinctive traits in the slimes. Some were sort of snake-y, others looked like they had tiny, squishable wings. It was honestly pretty interesting.
Pausing in her hunt long enough to track down a water fountain and get a quick drink, Zahneel decided that with as many slimes as there were, she could take her time and watch the little guys. Maybe she'd be able to figure out if there were any really slow moving ones! It was as good a plan as any.
