Cody looked at her when she spoke, he thought it over, lightly smiling when she ordered her food. He ignored the man who she had pointed to, "Really, the one that smells like hes been around a few drinks?" He whispered a bit as he then thought over how the waitress looked but he gently smiled, placing his order, something similar to hers but a more plain. When she left, he gently smiled, "So why go to the maternity store, at least, what was on your mind?" he asked curious about what she had thought about.

"I just needed to see a different perspective, that's all." she said to him then sipped on her water. Emily sighed, "I thought kids ruined relationships and made everyone miserable. But seeing those mothers today, with their bellies and children, smiling, happy, excited, I wasn't scared anymore."

Cody listened to what she said, but he gently nodded, "That makes sense since you didn't have any experience with families, which the only family I had was my mother so I guess that I was a bit confused myself." He said softly to her, "But you wouldn't have any issues, I mean, with having children with me at some point, I mean, they might be like me." He said meaning that they could be tiger shifters like him.

"They would be very lucky to be like you." she told him, "I'm an only child, no experience with siblings at all. But a few of my friends had younger and older siblings. I can learn from them." Just then food arrived and her stomach growled, Emily gave the waitress her thanks and she was still checking out Cody. Man she was so obvious, trying to slip him her phone number. He was out with someone else you bimbo Emily thought to herself.

Cody gently smiled to her, hearing what she said, "Well either way, I grew up mostly on my own, my mother said that I was the best thing to ever happen to her." he said softly, which when the food was brought out he looked at the number she slipped him and he thanked her, putting it in his pocket so she could see but when she stepped away, he got his phone out for a moment, the paper falling from his pocket to the floor, "Oops." He said simply putting the phone that he hadn't even turned on back into his pocket, "Shall we eat?" he asked kindly to her.

Emily was quite glad of the little accident. She stepped on the paper for good measure and if that made her look jealous, then so be it. She cut into her food and took a bite. It was very good, like always, "So far, you are the best thing that has happened to me," she said, embarrassed. She stayed quiet through most of the eating, not wanting to talk with food in her mouth and it was too good to stop eating. But she wasn't stuffing her face, Emily was taking her time, making sure to cut out small, bite sized pieces. And only took another bite when she finished swallowing the previous one. She threw in a few sips of water here and there. "How is your meal? Your treating, right?" Emily teased

He saw her stomp on the paper but looked at her curiously, she seemed to be a bit more possessive of him or probably thinking more about their future together. Hearing that he was the best thing to happen for her, it made him blush slightly but that also made him think that she was probably just her accepting that she would be with him and be happy. He ate his food happily, it was tasty but when she spoke, he nodded, "Its really good, and of course I am, only the best for you." He teased back to her.

Emily smiled as she put down her silverware, her food all eaten, "Excuse me I have to go to the little girls room. If you need to use the little tigers room, go right ahead." she joked as she got up and headed for the bathroom. Once there she used the facilities and washed her hands and face. She took a look in the mirror and for once thought she was cute. Never really cared or considered her looks in a long time, she was thankful that she had good natural looks. Wasn't wearing make up either. She touched up her hair and left the bathroom, heading for the table.

Cody noticed that she had finished her food but went to the bathroom. He didn't go, he took the time to pay the waitress and tipped her for her nice service and because he was a gentleman who gives decent tips. When she came back, he smiled to her, "So would you want desert on the way home or anything else?" He asked curiously but she could have had an idea or something to make her first night moved in special.

"I think dessert sounds great, but not here. Do you know of a good place? Also I need to stop by the store and pick up something, something to celebrate me moving in." she told him as she collected her bag.

Cody looked at her when she spoke but he nodded to her, "Alright then, what did you want to pick up?" he asked curious to what she was wanting to get to celebrate. He soon began to get ready to leave, knowing a good place for desert.

[Lol you keep misspelling dessert. the one you are spelling has lots of sand. Desert, dessert. Lol its okay, I used to get them mixed up all the time.][Sorry, I'm a spelling nut] "Oh you'll see once I bring it out." she teased as they walked down the street. As they came to a good sized store she went inside, "Stay here." Emily went for one particular section she hasn't been allowed to shop in for quite some time, liquor. She has never really tried it before but now is a good time to try it out. She grabbed a six pack of Redd's Apple Ale, which she heard was good and a bottle of red wine. She got a large paper bag inside of a plastic bag, trying to keep it hidden from him as she got back outside, "Sorry it took a while. You okay?"

Cody looked at her but gently walked with her down the street, going to the store but waited outside for her. When she came out with the bag, he was more curious, "Really... you're keeping it still secret?" He asked smirking but nodded, "Im fine, the ice cream shop is on the way to the car from here." He said leading her there, allowing her get what she wanted as they got in there.

"Yes I am still keeping it a secret." Emily said as they walked down the street to a lovely ice cream shop. She got excited, "I've always wanted to come in here and get ice cream, but I could never find the time, or money. How I wished many times that I could have ice cream for dinner." she looked at him as they went in, "Not the best choice huh?" She went up and ordered a waffle cone with a scoop of strawberry cheesecake ice cream.

Cody looked at her when she spoke, he thought it over, "Really, well if things go how they are seen to be, that could be a situation." He teased jokingly as he moved, getting a bit of sherbet ice cream. When they got the ice cream, he walked with her to the car after paying for the dessert.
