The footprints, though, ended before they got very far outside and looked like someone had snatched the wanderer right up out of nowhere. Knowing what he did as a result...he probably wasn't going that way. "Who climbs through windows anyways? That's stupid. A man should just keep his feet planted firmly on the ground, proceeding forward. ...unless he's got a crowbar, and there are valuables on the other side of the window. Colm-Zama  Once Colm managed to leave the nightmare filled basement after his eyesight cleared up, he thought it would be smooth sailing from there. Oh how he was wrong, very wrong. The SEES member stopped as he heard a collective groan up ahead. This could only mean one thing, according to horror movies.. Zombies. He held his Evoker at the ready as he proceeded down the hall. Once the animated corpses came into view, Colm summoned his Persona and used his weapons to cut through as many as it took to make it through the crowd. He couldn't afford to waste too much energy on fighting things that slowly walked everywhere.. Quote: Zombies Killed: 21 Space 40 - Zombie Slaughter Mini-Game! Ninja Nix!  It was rather difficult to navigate in the darkness despite her body being a nightlight of sorts. Nix could only see a very short distance in front of herself so there was no use in trying to hide the fact she was nervous. There was no one in sight and it was pitch black.. Then suddenly a window beside her shattered, the fragments of glass falling to the floor and reflecting her.. well glittering. It helped her see the window frame but not what awaited outside. There was a chance that she could see better while outside but with her body glowing like this, that meant any unpleasant creatures outside could see her before she could see them. "Some ninja.. I should stay inside for now until I find something to reverse this ailment." Hopefully that would be soon.. Quote: 18 Zombies slainFor the rest of the game, you must proceed in darkness. Tharros-sama!  Tharros was honestly just following his gut feeling as he continued making his way through the manor maze. If only he knew how far he had come along without getting completely lost. He stopped to look around, only to be visited by a certain friendly ghost. It was Boo Dallas to deliver some more ghastly puns. "Are you just watching because you're a specter?" "Watchdog Man" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Even the most stout of mind would have begun to find this house disturbing by now, and the isolation of being separated from your friends, knowing they were also facing the fear and danger that the place had on offer was enough to make one begin to question what they were doing. It was enough to put the imagination into a state of unpleasant darkness, contemplating all of the worst outcomes that could stop your forward progress and prevent you from getting to the heart of the mystery at all. Escape could become your only motivation by the end, fear and uncertainty driving you, and that fear could drive you to forget the things that you needed so dearly to protect within the maze from the beginning. You'd escape, but at what cost would your salvation come? This...was the mindset that Hatsu refused to give in to. His single-minded progression did not make him immune to the uneasiness, however, or the fear that somewhere in his house, the people who were precious to him...the person that was most precious to him...could be suffering, hurt, afraid. He needed to find them. He needed to be sure that they were all right. It wasn't escape or salvation that he wanted more than anything, and he wasn't afraid. He wouldn't give in. Not yet...he couldn't. He had more important things to his heart driving him than his own safety. And that uneasiness that threatened to turn into outright panic...he wouldn't let it. Never.
He opened a door but as he stepped inside there was a loud ring of the wood slamming shut, locking itself...he moved towards the chalice at the center of the room and a screen came on, telling him that if he did not drink its contents he could not escape the room. His hands fell upon the vase and he lifted it to his lips, sniffing curiously before a familiar scent hit his nose. An eyebrow raised. "Dr...P...?" he sipped again, and then finally drank the entire thing in one smooth gulp and listened with relief as the door unlocked and the drink had no side-effects, seeming to have been exactly what he had thought from the smell. But just as he was about to move forward, it was in that moment that the door opened behind him once again, a shadowed form stepping inside...the door locked behind her but the dim light revealed her form and his eyes widened, his calm intensity melting into a small smile of pure joy and relief amid the darkness of this haunted home.
"Aa...! Seika!"
He was at her side before he knew it, paw on her shoulder, standing in his silly costume so close with this girl not giving a thought to what would come next for the two of them just yet. She looked...scared, troubled...but she was here, with him right now.
"I'm here now," the university student smiled gratefully, soft, furry costumed paw tightening slightly and threatening to evolve into a full-on hug, "Aa...I'm glad you're here." WYNN, the Multi purpose Anti-shadow weapon As WYNN was attempting to navigate through the area, a strange beast dove down at her. She was forced to back up a bit to avoid it's claws...But when she turned, another figure was waiting for her. "Aeroda-san?" she called, watching the boy pull out an axe. She quickly realized she was in danger, and as such, DARTED out of his warpath, heading back to the Bonfire for safety. Something had taken over him..... Meanwhile, further back, Al was going through a very similar situation... except her entire body froze as she saw the zombies, and countless memories poured themselves into her. What followed next couldn't really be called a slaughter, given that zombies were already dead, but it was absolutely true that a machete had appeared in Al's hand from somewhere, and she darted forward without even thinking. Heads started flying off of bodies as the tiny avatar of justice charged straight into the zombies and began sending them back to where they came from.Quote: Al Azif: Turn 7 Space 45 - Encounter a moving mannequin. Cheryl, Usugu, Ringo, and Sensuke"Welcome to the Greatest Tag Team in Haunted House History! Minus Ringo..."As Cheryl passed along the hallways, with a mind clearer than before, but still just as crazy due to that inane music, she had come along the hallways slowly, carrying behind her the axe she had. As she turned the corner, she had noticed that there was a monster at the end of the hallway that she was going towards. Having enough sense to at least not try and pick a fight with him, she hid off, waiting for him to go away.
As they progressed onward, Usugu noticed that she had met up with that one bad looking guy, as well as that old guy had caught up. Just as she was about to say something, she had noticed that a ghost had appeared in front of the three of them. Speaking up, Ringo sighed. "Have you come to bother me again?" Replying in almost a whimsical way, the ghost said back. "Not to boooother you, but to only moooooaaaahtivate you. Almost to retaliate, Sensuke swung his axe at the ghost, only to almost chop off Usugu's head. "Shut up with the annoying jokes! Just leave me alone!" And off, Usugu was, running away from the man who clearly went crazy from this house. Ringo tried to stop the man, but all he got for his troubles was an axe swipe near his neck.
