If there was one sound the goddess of glory was not expecting tonight, it was screaming. Gripping her spear tightly she didn't wait for the mortals to speak again, she was off. "Kleta!" She called out to her twin, though knowing her she was already focused on this new development. "Kleta stay here a moment." Her tone was less wanting her sister to stay and more of a 'if something happens you need to be ready for it'. She gave her sister a small nod before dashing down the hallway of the scream before any of the mortals got any bright ideas to go themselves.
What had happened here? Oh no..Oh no no this was NOT good noooooo. Blood was not what she wanted to see tonight. Following the corridor just made the situation worst. Something had gone wrong here and she didn't know what. There were signs of struggling but...The bodies were gone what no no no no nooooo. Phaenna couldn't see anything that would cause this either. Whatever had been here probably left after the screaming. No no no not good not good not good.
The grace spun around on the spot and nearly flew back into the ballroom, straight to her twin. She tugged Kleta away to the side and started to whisper what she had seen very quickly. If that didn't put them both on high alert, nothing would...PLUS they had the mortals to watch after as well and this night was not getting any better.
Phaenna gave her sister a small nod before rushing over to the room her mother was currently pitching a fit in and stopped dead in her tracks. She rested her forehead on the door, let out a loud sigh and muttered 'Hades save my soul' before she propped herself up. Phaenna knocked on the door pretty loudly to try to beat the noise coming from within the room. "Mother, it's Phaenna. I need to speak to you for a second...It's urgent." Phaenna tried her best to match the level of noise coming from the room, she was pretty sure everyone in the ballroom could here her. If mother didn't hear her, hopefully one of the young graces did.HelMel LOLOLOLO Trying to get Venus' attention emotion_awesome

Haku's fur stood on end when he heard the sounds of a banshee streaming thru the ballroom. He briefly thought that maybe his parakeet had decided to to sing. Then he reprimanded himself. Surely the other's wouldn't be freaking out if his chicken partner had decided to repeat an aria. Grabbing onto the bird's arm, he nudged his head toward the hall and simply said "Seems there's trouble." Before releasing her and taking off at a run toward the hall. His little potted plant swaying with each step.Pelagious gave a small shriek as the wails riped thru the hall. Then he sidled up even closer to his Blue Beauty, attemping to throw himself in his arms. "Save me, my Lusty Angel!!" he cried.
If he had stopped to think about, he might have actually spared a thought toward Lannister but how could he when he, himself, was obviously in danger?! Haku let out a low whistle as he surveyed the scene. It looked like a horror film had gone off in here. What was with all the pink arrows? He thought those were a joke. Guess not. Leaning down to comfort Todd, he gave him a feew words solace. As best he could. If he kept screaming, his chicken might actually think he was prey.
Speaking of his overgrown peacock, where was she?

"No idea~! Actually, I wanna ask if they saw anything that night, or know of anycherub that saw anything; one of them had to have seen something, y'know?" Glancing over at Euphrosyne, she nodded. "Yup! Sounds like a plan! First cherub, then goddess."
However, plans didn't always go according to plan, especially when they involved Luminita.
They were so close, so-o-o close to getting to their (new) cherub friend/witness when a scream pierced the room. That didn't bother Luminita nearly as much as it should have. No, she was more frustrated by the fact that the cherub she'd been chasing after flittered off; not that she was about to let it get away before she talked to it! Changing her course without (or perhaps despite) considerations for Selah's opinion or the fact they were now running towards the hall the scream had come from, she continued to pull forward.
They reached the hall's entrance shortly after Phaenna exited with a fervent rushing that should have clued them in on the scene ahead.
Her steps decelerated quickly upon entering the hall, soon becoming a walk and then stopping altogether. Her grip loosened and let go of Selah's hand. As her pulse rose in tangent with her blood pressure, everything around her seemed to go silent.
Without moving, she simply stared at the scene before her: blood splattered, handprints, signs of struggle and eventual loss. Arrows. Turning her head slowly, she tried to smile at Selah in spite of the scene, instead producing an awkward sort of half-grin. There was clearly fear in her eyes.
"I-I... I don't think we're going to be able to talk to that cherub... Heh heh... heh..."Menelie Selah (meanwhile on Luminita getting pae into stupid situations)

Kaarina continued to sip her wine as the thought about the clues they had been given. The other pair who had been questioning Euphrosyne where interesting. She watched them run around for a moment before turning back to her partner.
The idea that the trap wasn't meant for Adonis was interesting. Clearly he had manged to get away if he had been able to stumble into the room and unto Aphrodite. Unless the killer had let him go knowing that he would die. "What if the murder was supposed to be some sort of message?" She mused aloud. "Oh? Well if it was troubling her I think it would be a good idea to investigate."
Suddenly there was a high pitched screaming noise coming from one of the corridors, she watched as a group of cherubs rushed of in the direction of the scream. "What the.." She wondered if there had been another attack, it seemed possible that the killer could return to such a big gathering to try and get rid of anyone who might have seen anything. "Should we check that out or take a look at the arrow?"

Tassos was a little disappointed. The three had seemed to flutter off after Venus before they could enact on his request. Damn. Guess he'd have to do more sleuthing the old fashioned way.
With all this talk about arrows, perhaps talking to the cherubs would h--...!
His attention was quickly diverted to the scream down the hallway. He followed the crowd to the grim sight and frowned again. This would not do. Things were just not safe here. Still, the call of mystery down the now bloodied hallway was greatly tantalizing... if not just as equally terrifying!
He stayed with the masses for the moment, not wanting to rush headlong into further danger without a group to back him up.Seneca sighed and followed her sister after Venus. There was a pause where she gave a sorrowful look of apology to the mortals they were talking to. They were only here to help and they were bailing on them to tame their mother. Seemed like a selfish thing to do, but the mortals wouldn't be able to stand up easily against one of her tantrums.
Once in the room, she tried her best to comfort her mother. Offering her presence if anything.
Her ears perked to something far off and distant.... a.... a scream?
Maybe?
Mother's wailing made it hard to determine and Seneca just shrugged as she put it to an echo from Mother's tantrum.
That is... until Phaenna came in looking panicked - yet still somewhat stoic - talking about something urgent.
Seneca rose to her feet, wings fluttering in worry. Phaenna knew better than to disturb Mother during one of her fits. This had to be something interesting.

Amaya follower Tassos, trying to figure out what was going on with all the screams and more drama. If someone else had been hurt or killed it was rather strange, after all a room full of people, all looking for the killer. What kind of nut would kill again in a situation like this??

Finishing his glass, Hjortur considered what she'd said. A message...? "That is entirely possible." He turned, returned his now-emptied glass to the table, and continued as they made their way towards the body. "There are many motives to kill Adonis specifically, and not just from the outside... Those close to Venus had enough reason to wish him gone..."
At the scream, he stopped with Kaarina, instinctively placing himself just between her and the potential source of danger. Given Phaenna's actions - her rushing both to and from the scene and the urgency in her voice when trying to contact Venus - and the horrified looks from the patrons who were witnessing whatever lay beyond, there was anything but desire to investigate. Looking at Kaarina, a deceptively calm smile on his face, he shook his head. "There are already so many responding there; we would be but in the way. If you do not mind, let us continue to investigate the arrow?"shadica Kaarina (if you can get something to me in the next 15-20 min or so, I can reply once more before work)

Well... now that a group was here......
He peered closely at the blood splatters and arrows. The direction of the trail was obvious. He plucked up one of the arrows and peered over it closely. Nothing too out of the ordinary. It was just an arrow after all... They all pretty much were the same, in that respect.
With an odd sort of grunt, he stood and cast a glance at Amaya. One that seemed to silently ask if she was ready.
Without an answer however, he started to walk - slowly, mind you - down the hallway, surveying the blood pattern and direction as he went.

Amaya nodded looking at the arrows and blood patterns, looking for any clue she could find. A scrap of fabric, jewelry, something to break this case wide open. She giggled thinking about her serious deactivate attitude about this whole situation. Amaya knew it was serious and people had been lost but she was still excited.

Shansa tried to help her mother calm down. She hoped that her mother would start feeling better once this whole thing was over.
It was hard to hear anything over her mother, she looked curiously at Seneca when her sister's ears perked. Had she heard something?
She was shocked when a knock resounded on the door followed by Phaenna's voice. The young grace wasn't sure if she should open it or not with the way her mother was but Phaenna sounded rather worried.
What in Dolander could be going on out there that caused her to try to come in during one of her mother's fits. She looked around at the others unsure what to do about the door.
She wanted to let Phaenna in but at the same time she wasn't sure if that was a good Idea with the way Venus was at the moment. She gestured helplessly at the door, hoping someone would decided what to do about the situation. She set her glass down as she watched the panic that seemed to be starting from the one who had gone down the corridor. Hjortur was right there did seem to be a large number of people trying to check that out. "Continuing on is good, We wouldn't want to miss a clue that the arrow might hold." It seemed likely that they would hear word of what had happened rather soon even if they did not investigate it themselves.
She was rather surprised when the other naiad put himself between her and the area that the sound had occurred in. Kaarina smiled and dipped her head at him. She wondered what had been so interesting about the arrow that Venus had seen.

Hjortur blushed ever-so-slightly as he realized that she noticed his movements; he wasn't particularly embarrassed to have done it, just a little to have it noticed. Nodding once, he lead the way through pae and cherub alike rushing to the corridor and towards the body.
Once they reached it, he couldn't help but pause.
So this was what it was like to stare at the body of the dead... It was a bit of a humbling experience to see, and he still could not help but feel pity at the arrows that remained to litter his body after so many seasons. However, maybe even that was a clue... After all, would this not be considered an insult to the deceased?
Glancing at Kaarina, he moved closer to look and examine the arrows. It did not take too terribly long before he found one arrow that seemed to be out of place: a single, dove-feltched golden arrow. Reaching forward, he carefully plucked it free from that chiseled back to bring it closer. "I think this was it..." He turned it to get a better look. "Where do you suppose it came from? It is clearly unique from the others..." he paused.
"...Could it be from one of Venus' retinue?"shadica Kaarina (thanks! now I'm off to work; will reply when I get off if you have anything for me :33)

Instead of a Venus, Phaenna received a pissed off looking Matriarch. Her eyes flashed, and her feathers looked wild. Something the female never let anyone see- it must be bad in there. “Do you not hear what is happening in here?” she hissed at the other. Another never- she'd never dare be so rude to one of Venus' own. That showed you just the gravity of the situation. Mayu immediately diffused though when she saw the look on Phaenna's face. “What is it, dear?” she asked in a softer tone.
Her eyes lifted when when movement in the corner caught them. She saw a mob of mortals gathering, looked at Phaenna, before quickly making her way over to them. She began to push her way through, “Move out of the way, please!” she said firmly, but all while trying to keep the thought of hospitality to their guests in mind. If such a look could befall the goddess then something big must have gone on-
When Mayu finally got through the crowd her heart lurched. It wasn't because of the blood, she was no stranger to it, but the sudden realization that she had been right. The murderer had to still be lurking the temple's halls or must have returned! Her feathers lifted off her body as a chill ran down her spine. The mortals could be in trouble! “Get out of there!” she yelled, actually unpleasant for once, to those who were making their way down the hall to 'investigate'. “Get out right now. This is for the gods and goddesses to look into now. You are not safe. Remove yourself from that place!” She stormed in after them, shooing them out. “You may be next or worst you could be ruining evidence. OUT!”
Once she was sure they were out she then began to shoo the crowd away from the entrance, “Keep our guests out of the way!” she called to Venus' children. “And some of you get in there and check on those arrows in the walls.” Her mind was working over time now. Who belong to those arrows and who was possibly strong enough to embed them in the wall? That was it, for the protection of Venus and their guests she couldn't keep attempting to sooth the raging woman. She had to help.
“Lilibeth! Caoimhe!” she summoned over the crowd. With a flourish of her feathers she pushed through the crowd and met them halfway “Come, we need to help them investigate this.” she motioned them to follow her down the hall. “The younger graces will have to care for Venus now. We cannot let this monster continue in her sanctuary.” She then lifted her wings and led her flock members down the hall. She would not set foot in the blood just in case she'd unknowingly cover an important bit of evidence.
This was getting worse. There was no telling where it would go from here.((Sorry if I miss anyone going down the hall and didn't quote XD Trying to head out for the day, but wanted to be sure peeps didn't miss this.)) Venus ushered everyone out of the room. She wanted to be alone anyway. "Go with Mayu. See what's going on," she bellowed, wiping cake crumbs from her face. Her attendants could hear the click of the lock as the door shut (slammed) behind them.

Tourmaline was feeling herself becoming overwhelmed by the situation. The blue God, Pothos, seemed so passionate about it being this Eris that he was becoming physically upset. Even his companion, the woman in gold, was considering the possibility, but was convinced that there was something more. Even Tourmaline felt that there was something more going on, but she wasn't going to dismiss this Eris person. It sounded like Eris was some serious trouble.
A tiny, tortured scream hit Tourmaline's ears, and she dropped Ky's hand and sprinted towards it's origins. She slowed to a stop as she saw the blood: it was everywhere, on the walls, on the floor, and in all shapes. Particularly little hand prints. What was most startling were the Erote arrows that were stuck into the solid marble wall.
Tourmaline's wide eyes took in the entire scene, her hands covering her mouth as she tried to calm herself and process what she was seeing. Drag marks and no bodies: the bodies were moved. She saw another Cherib fall into sobs and went to comfort him. She reached out and gently placed a hand on his shoulder, a look of sympathy and concern over her face.Antidia For TODD! As the other pae came to comfort the cherub, Haku sat back. Hell, he hugged his plant closer. This was a gruesome murder. He wasn't afraid of much but damn if he didn't feel like his poor prickly baby was in trouble.
Giving a sigh, he double checked that the new pae had this and slowly sauntered into the bloody fray if only to examine the Erote arrows. Only to be shooed back by another giant pidgeon. What was with all the damn birds in the place? Giving an aggravated sigh, he returned next to Tourmaline and resumed his comfort. Or his version. Which was to stare around the little cherub and hope he would eventually talk.
Did this mean that the cherubs were in on it? Returning his gaze to Todd, he knelt down and asked him why they would take his friend. He hoped that the other pae would soothe him enough to answer.Antidia For Todd. I'm curious too.
