Elation exploded within her! She had managed to land that last attack! Finally! This whole fight she had been dodged and or blocked, and even taken one particularly nasty attack right to the middle of her chest, leaving her with some very painful reminders of a need to be careful. All of that was wiped away in that single moment. The attack worked, not only that, but it worked well. It blasted the core off her feet, sending her flying a few feet away.
It might have been spur of the moment decision. Just a random thought that entered her mind, but it worked. It worked well too.
She stared at the fallen core with a bright smile on her face, dancing from foot to foot, clearly energized by this hit. Her joy and enthusiasm skyrocketed when the core rose to her feet and offered a nod of recognition. This meant the test was going well! Soon she would have her life-long friend and get to go on amazing adventures! All she had to do was wait for the core to agree, and this would all be over. Right?
Sadly, this did not turn out to be the case. As such, she was horribly surprised when the core she was fighting went from standing there, offering respect, to firing another several rounds of ammo at her. It was literally just luck that saved her from this one. Managing to get most of her vital organs covered just in time. She still suffered several gashes from the ones that grazed her, however they were mostly negligible.
Unfortunately, this left her completely vulnerable to the robot being inside her guard. Which resulted in a snap vibrating through her body as that heavy metal foot drove itself into her midsection again, hitting her lower ribs and finishing the job from earlier by breaking them completely. The sound resonated right up to her ears, leaving her without any doubt this time around.
She was not ashamed to admit she cried out in pain.
This pain, however, did not shut her down like it used to in the labs. This pain did something weird. It seemed to push her, adding more determination to her flames, even forcing more adrenaline to flow through her system to deal with it. In that moment, she learned the most literal meaning of her favorite saying. Boiling it down to the basics: No pain, no gain. Through this pain she learned more about herself than any of the hours of torture she had ever endured back in the labs.
It was due to this new drive, this spike and adrenaline, and the slow in the cores movements that allowed her to blast an arm up and knock the kick wide. Apparently, her opponent was capable of moving her body however she wished. Instead of being knocked off balance, it whipped around and sent a punch flying towards her midsection again. Apparently it was time to end this, if her new ferocity was anything to go by. She managed to dodge this one though, albeit barely. She stepped backwards, just outside the reach of the fist.
Only too late did she realize her mistake.
Suddenly her eyes snapped open wide, and her mouth stretched as wide as it could as a scream ripped itself from her throat.
The reason for this was unfortunately very obvious. There, in her left side, cut all the way through, was a hole in Thre's side. Fortunately, the heat of the plasma was so great that it cauterized the wound perfectly. Unfortunately, the pain was unlike anything she had ever felt. It was excruciating in a way that was currently indescribable with her current vocabulary, so she simply settled for the very easy method of screaming her lungs out.
All she saw in this moment was white.
When she calmed down a moment or two later, the core having apparently decided to allow her to regain consciousness. The pain in her side was staggering. The fact that she able to keep going surprised even her, but somehow she was able to look at the core and move her feet. She would be able to pull this out of the jaws of defeat, out of the jaws of death, she just would.
She choked back the pain, and readied herself for the coming agony of movement. This was what it meant. This pain was the price. If she survived, she would gain her freedom. Nothing was free. Everything came at a price. It all made sense to her now, as she stared possibly the scariest moment of her life. "I... Will... Not lose!" She shouted, and charged forward as fast as she could, the pain in her side radiating throughout that entire half of her body. She was in pursuit of the core for a solid half a minute, and each second was stretched into an eternity of pain.
However, as luck would have it, the damage from before was enough to substantially slow down the other core, enough that she was able to catch up to it slowly but surely. Desiring for nothing more than this pain to stop, she took the first attempt she could find, her arm swiping in a wide horizontal slash towards the midsection of the Omega Model.

The sudden maximum efficiency of her fighting style must have really caught the girl off guard. She barely was able to respond to the storm of metal that was sent flying in her direction, calling up armor that covered just what needed to cover. It was a great immediate defense, but at the same time nowhere near effective enough, the splatters of blood from where the bullets impacted was indicator of that.
Random fact of interest, her blood is purple. This led the Omega Model to believe the girl was not human. It wondered what kind of unholy combination they would make, regardless of who won. An alien and an A.I.? Sounded terrifying.
The Omega Model knew the fight was swiftly reaching an end, all the scenarios that ran through its specially crafted brain were all reaching a close, meaning that her opponent didn't have much left in her system. This was made very apparent when her first kick broke through her guard and cracked her lower ribs, which caused the robot to wince in sympathy. It was an unfortunate outcome, but a necessary evil.
The core was quite amazed when the little girl managed to move with a previously unseen speed, knocking her kick up and away from its target. Unluckily for her, the Omega Model had specially designed gyroscopes which allowed for her to never be caught off balance without significant force applied. Once more she found herself amazed when, despite the surprise that must have come with the lack of disturbance to her fighting flow, she dodged again.
In that moment the amazement turned to pure guilt, when the plasma it fired off cut right through the flesh in her side, a hole clean through. It couldn't believe it had landed that blow. She caused the little girl so much pain, so much agony that the scream that echoed through the whole area punctured straight through to her emotions, and would haunt her for the rest of her life.
It suddenly lost all the confidence it had grown to that point, and was positively shaken. This was why she stayed away from people and other cores. This was horrible. The sight of the hole in the girl’s body was enough to cause the Omega Model to want to shut down and never turn herself back on.
She stood there, frozen, as she stared at her opponent, disbelieving of what she had just done. How could she have let herself go this far? How could she have allowed herself to actually hurt someone else? It was horrible. If the core could be sick, it probably would be. It had never wanted this. It had been captured completely by surprise, while it was trying to hide from a different group of Baiters who had stumbled into her hiding place at the time. Now, now it was expected to not only fight, but possibly kill a child? Even an alien one was enough to weigh forever on the Omega Model’s conscience.
It felt an odd mixture of sadness and astonishment when the little girl brought herself back to consciousness. It supposed perhaps it was whatever caused her to have purple blood powering her forward, either way, the little girl was coming towards her at a pace that seemed too slow at first. Having absolutely no desire to fight any longer at this point, she started dodging backwards, determining eventually the little girl would tire herself out and collapse, and there would have to be no more fighting. It was that easy.
It was logically sound, on paper.
In practice however, that is not how it went down. The Omega Model dodged constantly, but was only able to stay out of reach for half of a minute. Somehow the girl was gaining on her at a steady and constant pace during that whole period of time, something the core didn't think possible. Apparently, that earlier blow truly damaged her, for she was far slower than before.
That was when it happened. The girl swiped her arm at the core. The Omega Model thought she was going to miss, clearly not learning from the previous time, for suddenly the alien child's arm changed into her scythe like fingers, slicing the core into two large pieces, with a few smaller bits here and there. She lay on the ground, in complete shock, which only grew when the child struggled over to her, and stared down at her with a smile of pure triumph. The core couldn't blame her; she had pulled victory out of what seemed like defeat through pure willpower. It was rather incredible.
As the world around them faded, the core had one thing to say before it was absorbed into the girl forever.
"Summer. My name is Summer."

As the Uni-Blaster managed to dodge through all of the woman's attacks, she seemed to get frustrated, and he chuckled to himself as she displayed her displeasure with the situation. She was cute as hell when she was angry. Damn, this girl had stolen its heart, and it needed to be with her forever. When she denied that she was into him, the Uni-Blaster was unaffected, knowing that women sometimes had to hide their feelings from the men they desired so that they didn't feel vulnerable. I WILL GET YOU MY SWEET! But then, as he was blocking her attacks, the Uni-Blaster heard her say that she wasn't actually a cat...and then she snarled...she snarled like a dog! She was really a dog girl? Oh man, why!? What did it do to deserve such trickery! DOGS WERE ASSHOLES. Cats are way better! He had managed to catch her in his smoke, but when he actually let loose the explosive shot, even though the stupid dog couldn't see it through the smoke, she probably used her stupid dog nose to smell it coming. "Man, like, dogs are such, crazy savage beasts, girl. You should have just stuck with the cat story. I'm sorry for your loss. But, like, if it's any consolation, you're still a babe, babe." He said, shrugging his shoulders in a sympathetic way before she launched toward him in attack. He saw her coming, and was ready for it--not letting her devilish charm break through its rock solid resolve to kick some doggy a**. "Come at me, Clifford!" The A.I. shouted as she charged in.
Her first attack that aimed for the Uni-Blasters arm was deflected by the Blaster quickly shifting itself and grabbing the woman's face. It held her tightly and then pushed her back, bringing its other arm up to strike the hand that came for its neck, deflecting that blow as he tossed her backwards. She was upon him again, quickly, striking in the same manner toward his chest, and he brought the cannon arm down on her forearm, not holding anything back as he struck, steel against flesh to knock her arm away from him. Then, she charged for him once again, aiming a knee toward its head and the Uni-Blaster dodged the blow, quickly shifting itself to the side as she flew over him, and then, immediately shooting itself forward so that when she followed up with her final attack, he had moved forward enough to avoid it completely. He was TOO DAMN FAST! His speed was incredible! His defenses were IMPREGNABLE. This was Blaster's match, hands down! It was time to WRECK ITTTTT. He spun around quickly to face her and narrowed its eyes. "You're going down, this time, pooch." He stated, charging forward and slamming the cannon arm toward her gut, shooting a blast at the same time to try to get a close range explosion that she couldn't dodge.

Alley noticed the AI's attitude seemed to change when she said she wasn't a cat. If she had to guess, it was almost sad at the news. She tried to resist rolling her eyes at the thought. Cats weren't that great honestly. Every cat she knew would try to scratch her eyes out, not including the experiment ones. She snarled at the AI when he said that dogs were savage beasts. Like this thing had a say about her nature. This things attacked her first. It threw the first punch. She was merely defending herself at this point. She didn't even know she had to fight. They kept that information from her, from Katya too. The test required to show your skills, fight what you will fight the rest of your life. She figured it was simply a psychological test to make sure you were sane enough to fight these things. She shook her head, not sure how to take the AIs words about her still being a baby, like it was a compliment. What the hell? How was that suppose to make her feel better. When she threw her last attacks, she heard it call her Clifford. Did it mean that big giant dog that was completely red? Oh this thing was annoying to matter what it was. If it felt affection toward her, it tried to grab her at any chance, when made at her, it gave her weird insults that were just annoying. She wasn't sure which she preferred. Honestly neither one, she would rather trade this thing in for something else.
Her attacks missed the metal robot once again, she huffed a bit, feeling a little tired. She only hoped it was feeling it as well or else she was in trouble. She realized that, and she needed to keep up the speed she had if she wanted to stand a chance. She watched it move forward to avoid her last attack, growling lowly. It quickly turned toward her, declaring that she was going to go down, having to resist scoffing at the thing. She stood there until it was close before grabbing it's arm, swinging under and over it, feeling the jerk of the canon as it fired under her hands. She twisted her body and pushed off the arm, to land behind the AI, slicing her claws at it's back three times once she landed. She jumped up, throwing her feet forward, using her heels to aim toward the center of the back shield in hopes of weakening it. It allowed her to push away from the AI a bit, landing on her back. She quickly rolled over, getting back on her feet. She charged forward and jumped up, planning on grabbing the AI's head with her thighs and throwing it to the ground with a flip.

The sight of a bisected core was simply astonishing. It almost reached into the realm of unreal, even perhaps fantasy. She was not expecting to win once those last two attacks landed, the damage she received was extreme. Even now it licked away at the edges of her nerves, waiting for her body to stop pumping adrenaline in such large quantities, that she may feel the full effects of how much pain she was actually in. So, when the sound of metal screeching through metal reached her ears, her eyes widened impossibly.
She stared down at the core, and slowly a smile came to her face. She had won. This fight turned out to be worse than anything she had ever envisioned. It was no picnic, no casual stroll, like many people made it seem. It was grueling, and terrifying at times, but most of all painful. Despite all of this though, she had come out on top. She won. It was a high unlike any other she had experienced in her life. Nothing could compare. Not when she survived a week in a portion of forest said to possess spirits who would drag you to suicide, not when she conquered an underground game of fears, not even yesterday, when she finally cleared one of the most dangerous mountains in the world.
Were she capable, she would have begun jumping around, giddy like a school girl with a crush. However, she could feel unconsciousness slowly claiming her mind, meaning she must have finally reached the limit of ignoring the damage she had taken. That did not stop the smile on her face from turning radiant when the core revealed her name to be Summer. "Hello Summer, my name is Thre. We're gonna be friends for a long time."
With those words she fell forward, finally incapable of maintaining an awake status.
Only for her body to suddenly jerk up from the table, suddenly quite awake. The poor doctor from earlier was startled enough to scream, sending her mug of what Thre could only guess to be coffee flying into the air. Her attention was not on that though; it was a passing notice as her whole attention shifted from waking up to her own body. She recognized this feeling! It was her body unlocking a new transformation! It raced through her whole body, setting every single nerve alight with the single most indescribable sensation, even when she tried. The best she could ever offer was, it was like every portion of her body was being squeezed from all sides by something that was covered in a syrupy like substance.
There was no screaming, but the sheer tenseness of her body, and the way it moved sure gave the impression of agony. There was no pain, but again, it definitely looked like it. Suddenly her body started changing, everything from her flesh to her clothing, the only exception being her backpack. It was gradual at first, but then quickly picked up the pace. Starting at the tip of her toes, fingers and head, her skin, clothing, and hair started hardening, and changing from their normal color to a terrifying looking black armor, until all that was left was what could only be described as a monster stood in her place. A faceless monster, made out of obsidian.
It wasn't done there though, for as swiftly as she changed into that creature, she changed back, to her normal looking self. This was followed by both of her arms going through much the same transformation sequence, except this time when all was said and done her arms no longer resembled normal arms. Her right arm now looked like a Gatling gun, attached to her body via some tentacles that pulsed with a dark red color. Her left arm grew in size as well, except her hand still looked like a hand on this arm, the big difference was there was now a hole right in the center.
A moment later, they were back to normal, and the little girl was hunched over breathing heavily.
Slowly the world came back into focus, and she became very aware of the fact that the doctor in the room was screaming like a banshee, looking straight at Thre like she had seen a ghost. There was a pang in her chest at this sight, but she quickly smothered it, used to this kind of reaction on the first time people saw her abilities. She had hoped the people here would be different, but that's life she supposed. She offered the lady a small smile, strained though it was, and left the area, now a full-fledged Baiter.
The second she was outside the office that thought truly struck her. She was now a Baiter. She was now free. No one could do anything to her now, no one could bother her, no one could force her to go back to a life she loathed like no other. Is this what freedom felt like? She guessed that was the case, because she felt amazing right now. She felt so much closer to what she imagined it had to feel like to be a bird.
The idea caused her to smile once more, and she set off on her newest adventure, ready to take on the world. Up until now she had been isolated, due to her running away all the time. Now? Now she could go wherever she wanted. That filled her with a feeling of peace she had never thought she would ever get to feel.
As she walked away, there was a similar warm feeling coming from inside of her, which caused her to start for a moment before she realized it was her new friend. She was perhaps too shy to speak now, but her feelings were apparently very easy for Thre to read, given that she was now within Thre's mind. Thre smiled again, nodding to herself, it had hurt worse than anything she had ever experienced, but it was worth it. Especially because now she wasn't injured anymore.

As the Uni-Blaster spoke to the woman, it could sense the confusion in her from the confines of her mind--a truly strange feeling, to be sure. But, at the same time, it was unnerving. Did that mean she would be able to feel its thoughts and feelings as well. Damn, she knew a LOT about the Blaster already, then, huh? As it aimed to attack, the woman jumped right onto its arm, hanging from it as it fired, the recoil shaking her slightly, sure, but not removing her from her perch on his limb. It was about to shake her off--or at least try, but she did the honors for it, and vacated the limb immediately. It was about to turn around to see where she landed, feeling a little bit slower than it had been moments before--was it really beginning to tire already...she was throwing a hell of a lot of attacks at it, but it didn't think it would be exhausted so fast. The woman was moving much quicker--as she had been all battle, and with this, it was not able to actually avoid the first strike that came its way. Instead, the blow dug in deep and gauged the armour on its back badly. It went almost entirely through the plating, just barely scraping the wiring on the inside of the panel. As the next two attacks came flying in toward it, the Uni-Blaster rocketed forward, avoiding the heavy slashes that would have torn its back to ribbons. Damn, she had some much ENERGY. ENERGY FOR DAYS. Man...it just wanted to get to know her now. Dogs weren't so bad, right? They were kind of like...bigger (sometimes) stupider, but more affectionate cats. Maybe....maybe dogs could be AWESOME if they wanted to be.
It had never really given it a second thought, but it was totally true. DOGS COULD BE AWESOME. They could be cool, right? Why was it thinking this? Cats...cats were adorable and sweet and fluffy and beautiful, and cat ladies were the sexiest thing possible. They were the ultimate! But...but it thought she was sexy before that, and she was still a dog at that point, so really, didn't it think dog girls were the sexiest. DAMNIT! TOO MUCH THINKING! It's mind was ready to explode! As the woman closed in on it, throwing herself into the air and trying to slam her heels into its back, the Uni-Blaster immediately veered to the side, karate chopping down on her leg as it came at him. He was able to fully deflect the blow, once again, thankfully, but as she jumped up toward him, he raised his hands in front of him, seeing her legs already coming at its head. It couldn't avoid...did it want to?! Was she really going to!? Her legs wrapped around its head, and it felt its metallic face being squeezed inbetween those muscular, yet soft, supple, thighs. Even as she was wrenching its head to the side and crushing it toward the ground, the A.I. didn't bother moving. "HEAVEEENNNNNNNN! DOGS. It settles everything! DOGS ARE TOTALLY BETTER!" When it hit the ground, it was fully dazed, completely taken over by the joy of the sexy dog lady slamming its head into her nethers. DAMN IT WAS A GOOD DAY! It lay there for a few brief moments in disbelief, unable to summon the desire to think of anything but those blissful moments. But it had to. So it lazily rose an arm and pointed it in her general direction without really trying to aim. "Please, let her do that again, please let her do that again." And with that, it shot the small explosive once more, hoping that it missed, she lived, and she pressed tis face back into that sweet, wonderful place.

Alley felt a slight glee of happiness as her first attack landed on the AI. Finally a hit! She could almost dance with happiness. She was feeling tired though, she knew that. Her happiness died slowly when her other attacks missed though. That was frustrating. Only one hit? For some reason she could tell the AI was thinking hard on something, using that to her advantage to jump and throw the robot with her legs. Though as the AI went through the air and landed on the ground, she realized it was a bad idea. It actually enjoyed it! What on the Earth was this things problem? She couldn't even imagine that being enjoyable.
She moved away from it, though she was slow about it, which was her first mistake. She turned hearing the explosion but didn't move in time out of the way. It shot slammed into her side, causing her to yelp, the sound of an injured animal coming her mouth instead of a human like one. That really hurt. She couldn't help the little whimpers that came, as she held her side, smelling some burnt skin and blood. That wasn't good. Not good at all. She couldn't do that again. She needed to stay sharp from now on. She couldn't take her time even if this thing was thinking about something so hard that it was letting her hit it.
She didn't take to long, lunging into the fight again. She charged after the AI, ready to tear into it and finish it. She had noticed her attacks left it very damaged, that was nice. She just had to keep hitting it. She could do damage to it, so better keep doing it. She slashed her claws twice at the Blaster's head, wanting to lobe it's head off. She was really annoyed by it and just wanted to end it at this point. She brought her head forward and tried to bite as it's shoulder, bringing her knee up to slam into his mid-section. She clenched her hand into a fist and aimed it straight for the Blaster's face.

As the Uni-Blaster lay there, completely dazed by the beauty of it's master's thighs, it could not bring itself to care about anything else in the world. All it desired was to be back, there, in-between her legs. But, as all good things had to come to a close, so did this. As it lazily shot off its explosive, there was a sudden loud yelp to be heard, echoing in the forest as the explosive actually hit her and blasted enough that it burned her skin and blood flowed from the wound. The Uni-Blaster immediately shook itself out of the shock it had been in and it rushed toward her. "Oh god! Sweet baby Jesus! I am so sorry, babe. I didn't mean to hurt you, really. I figured that you were so incredibly fast that a weak attack like mine wouldn't have hopes of hitting you. Maybe I was able to because I wasn't trying and you couldn't pick up on my bloodlust while I wasn't giving it my all. I am so so sorr-" The Uni-Blaster was cut short as the woman lunged toward it, slashing with her claws toward the Uni-Blaster's face. The first strike landed strong, as he was still mid-sentence, and her claws tore through the metal on the side of its face, leaving three large gashes across the steel surface. It reeled from the blow, rolling backwards a few paces on the wheel, and shaking its head, feeling the pain, though no blood came from the wound--nothing like that flowed through the Uni-Blaster.
As the second claw slash came toward its head, the Uni-Blaster once again moved its cannon arm up in the way of the blow, making sure that it could not be stricken down by this devilish woman. DEVILISHLY SEXY. God damnit...it had hurt her...there was no way she was going to forgive it. There was no way she was going to welcome it into the warm confines of her thighs ever again. It had ruined its own life. It had DESTROYED EVERYTHING. DAMNIT! Then she lunged toward it, lunging at the Blaster's neck with her teeth once again. Dogs were so strong...they could do some serious damage with that kind of attack...then again...cats could too if they were big enough. But...no...it couldn't get into that again. DOGS. DOGS DOGS. ******** cats! They were bastards! Rude, bitchy dicks. Yeah! This time, as she chomped down toward its neck, the Blaster caught her by the cheeks and stopped her from getting too close without having to punch her out of the way. As it caught her it pushed with both of its hands to keep her away from it, pushing her back a few feet. However, that wasn't going to stop this girl--no. She jumped back into the fray quickly, slamming her knee toward it's head, but the Uni-Blaster pulled back, rolling out of the way once again. The last attack was a straight-forward attack toward the Blaster's face--trying to knock its face in. The Blaster immediately brought its two arms up, crossed, in front of its face to block the punch, and did so successfully. It breathed a sigh of relief, even as the sparks showered from the side of its head. "I'm sorry babe. I have to keep fighting your sweet, sweet a** until you put me down. But believe me, I don't want to hurt you. I really don't. End my pitiful existence with those powerful thighs of yours, my queen!" It praised, levelling a shaking arm at her and unleashing another blast toward her gut.

Alley heard it apologize to her for hitting her, but it didn't reach her completely. This was a fight, why in the hell would it apologize to her for doing what it had been doing this whole time. She looked down at her side where she had been hit, seeing that the tank top had been torn and burnt along with the bright red skin underneath. Dear God, if she wasn't already use to seeing gore, she was sure this would probably shake her a bit. She hoped her real body wasn't damaged, that would suck. But the pain was real enough for her to almost believe that it could be possible that in the waking world, her side was blooming a red stain at the side. She really hoped not, she didn't have any change of clothes.
As her claws racked across the Blaster's face, she felt satisfaction from it. She wanted to destroy this thing, letting her blood boil in anger as her other attacks missed. Why couldn't she land another blow? She was angry enough, and the AI seemed upset about hitting her, surely she could land more than just one hit at a time. She could only glare at the Blaster as it continued it's apology, begging that she would end it with her thighs and even went as far as called her a queen. This thing was the oddest being she had ever met and she was around half animal experiments and an alien her entire life. She merely shook her head, dodging the shaky blast from the Blaster before lunging once again. It was at the very edge of it's life, surely one more blow was all she needed. Just one more, but hey she would be even more happy if she landed more than that.
Her first attack was a punch to it's chest plate, bring her other hand up and aiming to slash it across the face once again. She took a step back only to bring up her leg and quickly twist, trying to round house that robot. She stepped back up and brought back her claws, slashing at it two more times. Just need to finish this before it got worse.

The woman was able to defend against his attack once again, easily avoiding the explosive blast. She seemed to love the fact that she had dug her claws into the metal of IT'S FREAKING HEAD. Which was kind of rude, but he couldn't really knock her for it. He HAD technically ruined a piece of her clothing and burned her skin. So, he totally deserved it at the end of the day. As she missed her other attacks, the Uni-Blaster could see the frustration growing in her face and it chuckled as it continued to evade. "Aww, yeah. You're so sassy, girl. I love it when you're angry." He hooted as she looked at her. She was getting his cylinders all fired up. As she aimed her first strike toward its chest plate, the Uni-Blaster spun its body in a full circle, bringing its arm whirling with it to slap aside the strike, though the spinning defense left it rather dizzy and as it turned toward her her claws ripped up toward its head and struck it hard right under its chin, cutting through the weak connection on its neck and severing the head from the body. "Babe, noooooooo! What have you donnneeeee??" The head cried out as it flew through the air. As the head soared, the rest of her strikes landed true, crushing the A.I. as its body began to dissipate into the code it was made of. She had won--she had bested the exam. And the Uni-Blasters code flowed into the woman's body, absorbing inside her and as he flowed through her body, she would hear in her mind as she woke up. "Dayum..so that's what you look like naked. BLISSSSSS."

Mirai had pissed off a lot of people. People that you don't want to have against you without a little...or...perhaps, a lot, of backup. She had been in the gang world now for almost two years, and she had met a lot of the wrong people--and she had betrayed every single one of them. Half of them--the stupid or the slow--would likely be in prison by now, on their way to Rio for their sentencing no doubt, however, the dangerous ones--the ones who knew how to evade capture and how to hunt someone down and murder them--they were the ones she was worried about. By the time their weapons had misfired, however, Mirai would be long gone. She had left a note for her parents--told them that they were right, that the best way to help the world right now was doing one of the things they had taught her as a child. It was either cure or fight. She was no doctor--and she never had it in her to do that kind of job...but she had learned how to fight over the last year and a half, and she would put it to use. She had no other options, now. She had ******** up her life and let tragedy drag her to the pits of hell--but she wasn't going to do it any longer. At the very least, she had managed to keep her parents and their whereabouts a secret. The gangs didn't know where she lived, or where they worked. She had told them that she didn't have parents, anyways. Easier than explaining her life story and the resentment that it had built...no, no point at all. But now, now there was no more feeling sorry for herself, no more sitting idly by and watching her life fall to pieces. She would take control once again--do something nobody from the 'Graveyard Shift' had ever done...escape them. Any member who left, as they said you could do any time, was found weeks later, dead, and she would be no different if they found her. Unless, of course, when they found her, she was strong enough to fight them off. One on one, she had no fear--she had built enough gadgetry to enhance her fighting prowess, and it left her strong enough to fight toe-to-toe with any man. Bullets, however, were a different story. Not such a problem, though, for a person like a baiter. She had heard that people from this organization could catch bullets in their teeth, chew them up, and shoot them back at you. She would gain this strength--she would not let those around her tear her down ever again. She was strong--the woman that Kimi-Chan had wanted her to be.
Sure, she might have gone down the wrong road here and there--taking the long, scenic route to get to the person she now was, but she had made it none-the-less. She stepped up to the threshold--the stairs up to the entrance of the Shanghai B.A.I.T.R. Base. She would be able to take her test here--the exam that would decide her life--if she would live or die. But she had no fear of death--what did she have to lose? The glorious life at home with two parents that didn't care and every friend she ever knew she was either abandoned by or alienated herself. If she died, she would fade into obscurity, and nobody would really care--if she lived, she would have the chance to build something that she should have been building ever since Kimiko and Akio had shown her what it was to have friends--to be supported and to be unafraid of the people around her. She had thrown away the most precious gift that Kimi-Chan had ever given her, and she felt ashamed of it. As she opened the doors, seeing the hustle and bustle of the base took her aback for a moment. It seemed so chaotic and so organized all at once--it was like everyone was just running with no direction, but getting where they needed to go anyways. Mirai walked up to the front desk and told the stationed concierge that she was there to become a B.A.I.T.R operative, and the woman nodded to her. "Well, then, it's wonderful to see more people are coming in to serve our world. I wish you the best of luck." The woman cooed, giving her the directions that she would need to get to the labs in which she would have her test done. Upon arriving in the hospital-like room, she glanced around for a few seconds before one of the doctors approached her to ask what she would be using as her code core. "This." She stated plainly, peeling off the gauntlet on her right hand and giving it to the man. He took hold of the item and looked it over briefly, admiring its construction. He nodded to her and took the item to the N.I.C.E system, setting the gauntlet inside and beginning the scanning on it. After it had been scanned the doctor took the item back out and gave it to her--now ready for the A.I. Core that would be placed inside the gauntlet. She gripped her hand tightly, wiggling her fingers around to make sure it was fitting properly. She supposed the fight was going to go on inside her head, though, so there wasn't really all too much reason to worry about how her gauntlet was fit--but perhaps preparing herself mentally was the whole point.
The doctor lay her down on the table, and she took a deep breath as she stared at the fluorescent lights above her, squinting against the glare as she turned her head to look at the doctor. He nodded to her once again, and she could see the men bringing a strange vessel toward her. This vessel contained the A.I. Core that she would be fighting against...she wondered what it would be like--what they looked like and how they acted. As she thought about this, the doctor slipped a mask over her lower face, and the gas started to trickle into her nose and mouth. Her vision blurred, and she took a deep breath of the gas to speed the process, plunging into darkness--into the biggest risk and the biggest change she would likely ever face again. 'Let's do this, Kimi.'

It seemed as though most people who walked into the Shanghai Base to take the test had issues they were working though, or running away from. After so many years of working for the organization, proctoring many Half exams, and seeing person after person die and get taken over by the AI's they fought against, the doctor simply stopped asking. So when his next patient came in, he simply did his job with a stoic face and attitude. He had enough of kindness in his job, and enough of seeing people he had come to like die and be destroyed.
When the girl came in, asking to put an AI in a gauntlet, he treated her much the same as he did anyone else. Placing the gauntlet, that admittedly had a wonderful design to it, in the NICE system, an AI was placed into it and her battle would begin shortly. Once she was out, she was on her own. And he couldn't completely bring himself to care if she was going to die or not.
The Uni-Blaster, however, was excited to be given the chance to do something. Finally! It could get out and and do a BATTLE! Finally, it could do exactly what it was programmed to do. And, of course, it was going to have it's own battle music to go along with this fight. Ohhhh, it was gonna be so sick! Music started playing from one of it's speakers, a super sick trumpet beat coming out of them.
"One for the money, two for the show We got the party people screamin' out (hey - ho) - Let's go!"
It was an older song from a band called Big Bang, and the Uni-Blaster was absolutely getting down to the song, singing along, as it looked for the person it was going to beat up. The world was still forming, but it was still more excited for everything that was going to happen.
"On and on into the breaka-dawn I got a mic and I just can't leave it alone I be the T.O.P aiite! I represent the Big Bang big thangs feel me I bring 'em like Down and dirty you heard me it's straight whoa! People gotta have it, they really won't let go, huh Yo, I got it full control Indeed I'm ridin' high no need to lay low"

Mirai felt her consciousness waning--the darkness began to take over her vision, and she found herself beginning to panic. She had always been afraid of the dark--she couldn't help it. Having grown up alone, with nobody to tell her the boogy man was fake, and that the monsters in her closet were not real, she had developed an unhealthy distaste for darkness. She knew, now, that all of those things surely were not real...but it stuck with her. Her heart raced, she got paranoid, she broke out into cold sweat. She felt all of these things starting, and she was about to scream, but she couldn't--her mind was still in the process of waking itself from the drugs that had been put into her systems. She was foggy, and so was the land that they now lived in. As they came closer to her with the A.I. she could feel it--she could feel it in her mind before it even slipped into the gauntlet. It was screaming with excitement to get out of that damned prison...she could imagine. She had set herself in a prison of her own mind for years--but now...now she would be free. Truly free. Her breathing regulated, along with her pulse, and she opened her eyes to the swirling darkness around her. A scream once more caught in her throat, but she swallowed it, her eyes narrowing and her fists clenching. She was in her head. She chose the battleground here. A smile cracked her lips and she was suddenly standing inside the University Cafeteria. The lights were all on, the windows led to a bright, sunny day, and there was...music?
The trumpet started quiet, building as the A.I. was introduced to her mind--she could feel the change in the coding of the gauntlet--she could feel the foreign presence, and she smirked to herself. The thing was announcing its entry in style--she had to give it to whatever the b*****d was...he was pretty cool. She took a combat stance, listening to the music get louder until it sounded like she was listening to it on a radio close by. She bounced from foot to foot and took up a fighter's stance, the hand closest to her flicked its thumb off of her nose as she sniffed lightly--a movement that she had grown fond of when she had watched an old martial arts master in all of his 1900's grainy, awful T.V glory. She had learned to love hip-hop music in her days on the street--a lot of the Graveyard Shift members listened to it, and she had learned to really love the beat. She had, on many more than one occasion, smoked a joint and moved her body to the music. She had never even thought of dancing before, but it became something that she loved to do over the past year. She grinned as she bounced from foot to foot, anticipating the beginning of the fight. As the Uni-Blaster rolled in, the song he was listening to blasting around them, she had a smile a mile wide on her face, still holding her hands close to her bodies, but loose, not quite a boxer's stance, but close. "So, you're the one they've sent to test me, are you? Good...you look hard to break down." She stated, the same grin split across her features.
She rolled her neck, hearing a couple of healthy pops before she straightened up--she wasn't going to let this thing get her first. She was in her mind--this thing was in her world, now. She grinned as she dove forward, running at a headlong sprint toward the thing. She jumped, pointing her arms out in front of her as if she were diving into the water, but she planted her left hand strong on the table, and used the momentum to swing her body around, bringing her legs across and dropping to her back, spinning for a second on her back, on top of the table before popping back into the air with two arms this time, and swinging her legs over her head and down in a savage kick toward the top of the A.I.'s head. She would land after the attempt, on her feet, right beside the Uni-Blaster, and she would immediately pull her body back, in case of a counter strike, before snapping it back forward like a cobra, bringing a quick hook with her, slamming it toward the neck of the Uni-Blaster. She hopped back again, analysing the Uni-Blaster's movements before immediately throwing her body forward, planting her right hand on the ground and spinning into a cartwheel, her foot snapping out mid-way through and aiming directly for the bottom of the Uni-Blaster's face.

The trumpets continued, as did the old school hip hop music. As the surroundings continued to develop, the Uni-Blaster continued to nod it’s head to the music, rolling about the room, which seemed to be a cafeteria in a school? That was an interesting place to want to fight, though he supposed it wasn’t all that weird.
I'm psyked I'm rippin' the show Tight like kick in the doe That's right baby zero below You know the GD got ya city throwin' em up It's oh so - ficky ficky fresh! I give you nuttin' less And if you ain't known by now I be the best Ladi dadi we came to party yes yes And while ya freakin' ya shawty let's just…
It sang along to this K-Pop song, rolling up to the girl who it was set up to fight. She seemed rad enough, someone it could totally get down with. So, after she made her jest, the Uni-Blaster gave her a thumbs up and readied itself as the music continued playing.
Ahhhhhhhh Big Bang gon' raise the roof yall So you know what to do yall Just keep on rockin' em Ahhhhhhhh Big Bang gon' raise the roof yall Just keep on rockin' em
The girl did some awesome tricks, break dancing into her moves as she attacked it. Now, that was pretty sick. However, with easy head-bobbing movements, the Uni-Blaster deflected the first attack, singing along to the chorus of the song. It managed to reach up in time to not allow the kick to connect. Then, blocking the next attack with a very similar amount of ease.
Damn yo'm killin' the flow got it pack wall to wall doe to doe that's Quite incredible I know And everybody in the place be tipsy Amazin' what this be we blazin' it cripsy Ya honey wanna get down with this, I make her bounce to this Every ounce of this I sh*t'chu not And it's the sh*t'chu not you know I hit the spot
The second verse rang out as the girl threw another kick at the Uni-Blaster’s neck. Once again, it was a blocked attack, but only narrowly this time. However, managing this, it then did a spin to get away from the girl, backing up in the process. It wanted distance, and distance it would get. From its position now, it could let out some shots at the girl, so it took aim and fired once, the sound firing over the sound of the music blasting in the speakers.

Mirai was feeling it--the music, the adrenaline, the fear--it all mixed together to create the perfect 'get pumped' atmosphere. She felt her muscles flooding with oxygen and her heart entering a strange phase of strong, slow beats. As if she were falling asleep, though it was merely optimizing itself to give her body all the air it needed. The first strike that came down toward the top of the Uni-Blaster's head, it was moving to the music and bobbed its head backwards, avoiding the strike gracefully and in time with the music it was playing. The song itself was old-school, sure, but it had such good flow to it. She wanted to slide, to strike, and to live with every beat that rang out and she felt the vibrations through her whole body. As the first strike missed, she flipped up and landed, sending out the second attack, it managed to duck and weave once again. She thought she had been precise and clean with each strike, thinking there was no way that it wouldn't hit. This combination of attacks would have destroyed any of the gang members she had fought, but this thing was nothing like them at all. She took a deep breath as she watched the Uni-Blaster rolling backward, prepping itself to attack, and she watched the thing raise its arm, shooting a blast out of the cannon attached, and she watched it as it came toward her, narrowing her eyes and swinging a vicious uppercut that contacted with the belly of the bomb and sent it rocketing upward into the ceiling, exploding against the tiles and raining debris down on them.
She managed to duck and weave through the debris, being careful to avoid it as it fell, and then as soon as it had all landed, she grinned toward it. She knew she didn't need to voice her opinion to be heard. She reached out and gave a thumbs up back to the Uni-Blaster, then she bobbed her thumb up, motioning it to turn the music up. And as the music played--continuing to thrum through the cafeteria, she smirked and blasted forward once more. She leapt, springing off of the side of a cafeteria table, and flipping mid-air to bring her foot down at its shoulder in an axe-kick. If she landed it, or not, she would land on the ground, though she would land on her hands, keeping her legs in the air, parallel to the ground, and then she blasted her feet forward, kicking out directly at the thing's joint above the wheel, hoping to break the movement of the A.I. quickly. As soon as she had kicked out, she recoiled, flipping her legs over her head and rolling backwards, springing back up and then dashing forward toward it. She moved in quickly, ducking and weaving like a boxer to avoid any incoming strikes before she ducked left and her right hand came with it, bringing the momentum as she struck a vicious punch at its side once again, hoping to break the armour that surrounded its more important components. Besides, with these gauntlets on, her punches would be incredibly strong--way stronger than any human's normal hits. It would be like Silvester Stallone quadrupling his muscle mass and then sucker punching you in the teeth. And she was stoked to be able to throw the punches like that. She was strong--she would be stronger. This was the beginning.
