Alfred "Alvin" MathisAlvin nodded. "I slept great! Your bed is really soft!" His room? Right....Teachers and other students. They were a thing. "Yeah. I have to shower and change, too. Can't walk around all day in my pajamas. Something tells me the others would never let me live it down." His bag was still in his room, too, so that was another reason to go back. Getting out of bed, Alvin grabbed the ring box and held it close. "...Again, I'm really sorry for worrying you yesterday." Alvin smiled softly before slipping out of the room, making sure no one was around, and going to his room to shower and change.

Vlad watched as Alvin left for his own room and he went to his closet to get something to wear. After finding something suitable he went and showered before officially getting dressed. He will say he was happy they no longer had servants to dress them. It was always rather annoying to have someone cloth him when he could do it himself. Once he was fully dressed and his hair dried and put up he went to prepare the morning meal for his guests knowing they were waking up soon.

Alfred "Alvin" MathisAlvin arrived back in his room, grabbing his bag. He showered and dressed before laying on the bed. The week spent here was the best week of his life. He really hoped his dad would let Vlad continue to be with Alvin. Er, well....Was that the best wording? Getting up, he took the ring Vlad gave him and put it on. It only fit on his third finger, which was a bit awkward but not...entirely inappropriate. Stuffing his pajamas in his bag and being the plush under them, Alvin left his room to wander the halls for a bit, looking at all the art. He particularly enjoyed paintings of Vlad's "ancestor". Eventually, he made his way to the kitchen and peeked in, seeing Vlad working on their breakfast. He looked....Well, he looked really hot. Sexy. Why was it so attractive to see someone you liked doing homely activities. Instead of bothering him, Alvin decided to continue looking at the art. Eventually, the others woke up and Alvin was joined by Jared. Who...must've joined them without Alvin noticing. "So, you must be pretty special. Having the room right next to the town's prince." "Shut up. He chose that room because it's the most comfortable one and he felt bad I had to stay in a motel all week." "...You're sheltered, so I'll let you in on a secret. Vladimir's a creep. The way he hangs around you. You should be more careful around him." Jared walked off and Alvin frowned. Yeah, Vlad could hover, but....Alvin liked that.

Vlad had sensed Alvin coming into the kitchen and heard the conversation between Jared and Alvin. He growled slightly but couldn't say anything. When everything was done he had cooked eggs, pancakes, toast, fresh fish both chilled and hot, sausage bacon, and many other delights. He was going to see them all off well fed. Servants entered with the trays of food and he looked at everyone. "I do hope you enjoyed your trip here and enjoyed earning about this town. It is always nice to have new faces come and learn about the history here."

Alfred "Alvin" MathisAlvin joined his class at the table, setting his bag next to his chair. He listened to Vlad's little speech and smiled a bit. "I enjoyed my trip here." Alvin gave a smile before taking a bite of the food. Vlad was an amazing cook. Remembering seeing him in the kitchen made him blush. "You looked amazing in the kitchen, by the way. A hundred times more attractive." "Hey. Where'd you get that ring, Alvin? It's pretty~!" Huh? Oh, right. He was wearing the ring. "It's....It's just something I bought on impulse the other day. It looked nice, so...." He felt...dirty for lying about it, but he couldn't tell them it was promise ring from Vlad. They'd freak out, and he didn't want to cause a scene. "It's kind of girly on you....Can I have it?" "...Sure. When the moon breaks from it's orbit." The girl glared at him and kicked his leg, clearly offended.

Vlad heard the conversation and he chuckled slightly. Before he walked to where the girl was. "I can find the store for you if you wish." He said softly before looking to a servant for a moment and looking back to the girl. Of course they wouldn't be able to find that exact ring, it was a one of a kind and only Vlad could have it made, but no one else knew that.

Alfred "Alvin" MathisAlvin was actually worried when Vlad approached the girl. He was worried he'd attack her for kicking him. But, he was...nice. Maybe cause it wasn't a real threat. "Well, at least someone's a gentleman. You should teach Alvin how to treat others." He knew how to treat others. He just didn't like her. "They didn't have another ring like this one. One of a kind. But, they had a lot of awesome selections."

"Oh, Im sure someone will teach Alvin soon enough." He said with a smile before looking at the ring. "Alvin is right though, that ring happens to be vintage and that is the only one made." He said looking at the girl. "I am sure there are other rings that are just as lovely though if you would like them? Once in awhile the shops here will get an item that only the royal family could have made. They are rare, but if your lucky you can get them for a good price. Of course, that ring looks like one of them."

Alfred "Alvin" MathisVlad was certainly quite the performer. Alvin continued to eat his breakfast as the girl squealed and ran off to do some last minute shopping. Jeez....Girls and jewelry. Alvin would never understand. Finishing the food, Alvin leaned back in his chair and looked over when Warren came in. He was mighty comfortable waltzing into Vlad's home. Then again, it wasn't like Warren had any moral code when it came to doing his job. "Time to go. If we leave now, we'll get home in time for dinner." "Not staying for the beach party this afternoon?" "Can't. Dad didn't sign that part of the permission forms." Jared had been unusually friendly whenever they bumped into each other. He didn't typically pay much attention to Alvin at school. Alvin looked at Vlad and thanked him for his hospitality before grabbing his bag and going over to Warren. The two left and headed back to town. "Will Vladimir be visiting the mansion?" "Yeah. I don't know when, though. Is that okay?" Warren repeated his knowledge on the kind of vampire Vladimir was, stating it was fine with him but reminding the teen Derrick wouksnbe happy to near about the close relationship between the two. Alvin sighed, but was sure Vlad could win his dad over.

Vlad watched as Warren came in giving the man a bit of an annoyed look, but that was it. Thankfully no one else would have seen it but the man it was aimed at, yes Vlad knew he was doing his job, but it was troublesome that the ex hunter was so comfortable coming and going in his home. He should show a little bit of respect at least. Once all the students left Vlad finished packing and prepared for the trip. Artix was fed and given plenty of blood to keep him from going hungry and he knew that his owner was going to be gone for awhile. Vlad tied up a few things that he had to get done and then he was on his way. He was going to stay at one of the hotels in Arabor knowing that he would be close enough in town to figure out where Alvin and his father lived. Not to mention he was fairly certain he could pick up Alvin's scent well enough by now. Once he checked into the hotel he was shown the penthouse suite. It was nice, though not as nice as his own rooms back home, but they would do. He settled down and unpacked his things before resting. The following morning Vlad learned where Alvin lived and waited another day before he actually approached the place. Knocking on the door he had another gift for Alvin, and one for his father. The gift for Alvin was a stuffed horse that looked like Artix, the gift for Derrick was an artifact for the man's collection. It never hurt to offer a gift to someone before you asked about dating, or more with their child.

Alfred "Alvin" MathisThe passed day or two were...not so pleseant. Warren and Alvin had to tell Derrick about Vladimir, and the man was extremely displeased with the information. It wasnt even that Vladimir was a vampore that angered him, which was actually a shocking but pleseant surprise. Derrick was pissed purely at the fact that Vladimir had chosen to pursue a teenage just shy of graduating from high school. And, that Alvin had so easily become so smitten with him. Alvin was, of course, grounded and Warren was lectured for letting it happen. But, his father had taken it a lot better than Alvin thought he would have. After a few days, as Alvin sat at the table eating breakfast alone, there was a knock on the door. He looked up as Scott, their butler, went to answer. The dining room was just right of the main foyer, so when Vladimir was welcomed in, he could see him and smiled. He actually came! It cheered him up significantly and he got up to go to the foyer to greet him. "Vlad, you ca--" Alvin stopped mid-sentence when Derrick came down the stairs, followed by Warren. "Have you finished your breakfast, Alfred? If so, then don't forget to pay respects to your mother." Alvin went to say something, but the glare in his father's eyes silenced him and he rubbed his neck as he turned to finish his breakfast. One of the maids gave him a sympathetic look, which didn't help even though he appreciated her concern. Derrick was soon down the stairs and standing some feet in front of Vladimir. "As cruel as it is, I was hoping your promises were mere teases and that you were just toying with my son. The thought of having to play host for a pervert like yourself sickens me; especially since it's on Alfred's request." He would be nice to the vampire for Alvin's sake, but he wouldn't pretend to like him. "We're going to my office. Scott, will you prepare a glass of wine for us? Blood wine for our guest, of course." "Right away, Master Mathis."

Vlad raised an brow at Derrick for a moment before giving a smile to Alvin and following the lord of the house to his study. He listened to what the man said for a moment and chuckled. "Considering how old I actually am going after you would classify me as a pervert too." He said after a moment setting down the gift he had brought for Derrick. "I can assure you I have no intentions of harming your son nor do I expect to do anything with him for a good long while. He should have a chance to grow up before settling down. And if he changes his mind in liking me, so be it. Im not going to chase a boy that isn't interested in me." He said after a moment. He did understand why Derrick was upset with him, but could he really blame him? Taking a sip of the blood wine he closed his eyes. "Not bad, certainly know your wines Mr. Mathis. Though I suppose that is also why you have an ex hunter as a body guard. It certainly was a smart move on your part."

Derrick MathisDerrick looked at Vladimir. He didn't seem to grasp how inappropriate his choice was. Or, he did and simply didn't care. "You'd have better luck wooing Warren or another hunter if that was the case." He took a seat at his desk as Scott returned with their wine. "Of course you don't. Even if you did, I wouldn't allow it." Regardless of what was the end result of the discussion, Derrick was forbidding Alvin from being with Vladimir until after graduation. Possibly college graduation if Vladimir displeased him. "A few of my business partners are...inhuman, put simply. Warren's former occupation has nothing to do with my knowledge on the otherworldly." Furthermore, Warren was his employee because he was the one who begged Derrick to hire him. Derrick actually didn't want him as an employee when he came to talk with him about it. "I learned at a young age that the world isn't home to just humans, and I was taught how to be a host to them."

Vlad listened to Derrick and nodded. "Understandable. I have no interest in interrupting his studies either, I just am serious about your son and I will do all I can to prove to you that I am worthy for him." He said taking another sip of the blood wine. It was rather good and he enjoyed it. "Well that certainly makes you an interesting individual. Rather interesting background and you kept all of that away from Alvin. Isnt he going to take over your business at some point?"

Derrick MathisSo, he was considerate of Alvin's education and don't plan to get in the way of that. That was certainly one point on his side. "Alfred has proven he has no interest in being a businessman or company CEO like I am. He'd much rather be an archeologist. I already have suitable successors lined up to take over for me. Dedicated employees who are training to take my place. If Alfred ever chooses to take my company throne, it's written in both my will and my company deed that he is to be given it. And, I've left a letter with the documents telling him of our unusual business partners." It was a very slim chance, of course, and Derrick was fine with Alvin pursuing his own career path. Regardless, every step had been taken to ensure he was prepared if he ever decided to follow in his footsteps. "I kept the dark underworld from Alfred because I wanted him to discover it on his own, not have it thrust onto him by his father as I did. It'd have been a much more fulfilling discovery for him, regardless of the dangers of it. Discoveries...have always made Alfred very happy and proud."
