Hearing what was wrong, Alrik had a sudden flare of anger run across his body before feeling like his normal self again. Giving her a gentle smile, he would gently place his hand on her head and would pet it "Galya...Do you know where she is now....?" He would ask her tiredly, letting out a tiny yawn at the end of his sentence. Alrik was questioning why someone would do such a thing to a innocent girl...Whatever the reason, Alrik wasn't happy with it in the slightest; while it was not long ago since they've met and yet he felt as though he could find a little sister in her, that she was a little sister figure. While this feeling wasn't set in stone, nonetheless he felt like he needed to have a conversation with this person. "Did she give you anything I can grab her scent off of?" He would ask her calmly yet tiredly. A wolf could track a scent for miles away, if Galya did indeed have something of hers, Alrik would be able to find her no problem.

Rory strolled into the cafeteria, having to slightly duck his head under the doorway. His day had been pretty bland, since his classes were all fairly empty. He needed an energy kick.
Rory got in line and couldn't decide what he wanted. His metabolism was incredibly demanding, so he filled a tray with a variety of food. He smiled at the cashier, his boyish charm causing her to smile back. Rory looked around for a familiar face, but found himself unsuccessful. He found an empty table and began to eat. He was very neat and tidy in his consumption, for his table manners were very good despite his otherwise energetic and outgoing personality.

Chance eventually found the dining hall, which was flooded with people of all kinds of species. It was a bit overwhelming, even for Chance. Even so, he was excited to meet new people. After purchasing a hearty meal, Chance started to walk over to a crowded table. Before he could even think about how he would introduce himself, he noticed Rory sitting alone. That was just about the saddest thing he ever did see. Not really, but Chance still felt like he should sit with him. Rory was a lot of fun after all. Even though he wasn't a new person to meet, he was still worth interacting with. There was always tomorrow to socialize with strangers, and maybe someone will take a chance and sit with the two boys. Chance grinned and sat across from Rory, who was in the middle of eating. "Hey there, hotstuff", already with the puns.

Rory looked up from his tray as he swallowed some food, and his face lit up like a Christmas tree. He took a sip of water and smiled.
Rory stood up half way, and was able to reach across the table, and patted Chance on the shoulder."Oi, that's Mr. Hotstuff to you lad,"he laughed. He sat back down and drank more water."So, how's your first day of school champ? Are the kids being nice to you? Did you make any friends?"Rory addressed Chance like a caring father, changing his tone to a wanna-be serious one. He sat up and crossed his arms and looked at Chance, raising an eyebrow.

Right away, Chance knew he made the right choice. He laughed at Rory's reaction, "My bad. Mr. Hotstuff", he corrected himself. While Chance took his first bite, Rory started speaking in a mock serious tone. It was quite the good impersonation. To add to the hilarity, Chance started speaking in a higher, younger voice. "Yes, sir, school's goin' real swell" He could easily change his appearance to look like a kid, but if he was going to shift for a laugh, he wanted it to be funnier than just some friendly banter. Plus, he hadn't done so before in front of Rory, and wasn't so sure how he would react to that.

Rory sat up straight and pretended to adjust his tie. He pointed his finger at Chance."That's what I like to hear, son. Say, I have a mate who might help get you on a junior rugby team. Just make sure your homework gets finished young man!"he said, in his deep mocking voice.
Rory started laughing again. He slid his tray over, having finished his food. He placed his elbows on the table and leaned over them shaking his head."Man, what a day, huh? One minute I'm a kid living in England playing with matches and sticks, and the next minute I'm at this magical school where I find out I have a son who is my age."
Rory laughed to himself."What a day..."He was mostly speaking to himself at this point. He couldn't believe how much his life had changed in the past couple of days, and how it would only change more as he learned more magic and met more magical creatures. There was a whole new world out there for him, and he couldn't wait to explore it.

Chance grinned in amusement, taking another bite of his food. "Golly, thanks dad!", he managed in his prepubescent voice before he interrupted himself with laughter. He listened as his roommate went back to reality, only to make another joke. "Yeah, that's how it goes. First you're just playing with your stick and then you have all these responsibilities." Though he didn't mention it, Chance was pretty amazed with the academy himself. Meeting new people and having different experiences was very exciting to him, and he couldn't wait to meet all kinds of magical beings. He looked at Rory, who seemed to be pretty happy as well. "I take it your day has been pretty great too, huh? 'Sides from the whole getting sliced up part."

Rory smiled."Yeah, my day's been pretty alright. You won't be hearing any complaints from me at this table today, my friend."He winked at Chance.
The bell rang, and Rory stood up and grabbed his tray."Oi, looks like it's time to go. I'll catch you after school and we'll hang. That, my friend, is a promise."He laughed and nodded. He turned around to return his tray, and then left the dining hall.

He grinned at Rory's tame news. Though it would be fun to get some dirt on some of the students, Chance was happy that Rory was having a good a day as he was. Chance looked at the clock, realizing how little time was left for lunch. He shoved the last of his food into his mouth, somehow managing to prevent a choking related disaster. The bell rang and Rory was already up. He wasn't able to vocally confirm after school plans with his mouth still full, but Chance gave him a thumbs up instead. Chance wasn't all about etiquette when it came to eating like Rory was, but at least he wasn't gross. With that, his roommate was off to the next period. Chance figured he should hurry off too, it wouldn't be good to be late on the first day. The boy grabbed his tray and soon left the cafeteria.

~Dimitri O'Sullivan~  Dimitri stepped in near the lunch area, hands still tucked away in his pockets. The hall was neat and well taken care of even after the brief rioting of earlier.
