If you have someone blocked or are blocked by someone their threads still pop up in the pulse. Got it. it should be a relatively easy fix. Yup, I initially suggested we start with some general information about how to report off-site matters, what Gaia can do (as we noticed a lot of this activity was happening off-site but with regards to Gaians), and then general information on how to protect yourself, but realized that we could (and should) go a little more in-depth with the information we want to present. So we're planning one out that we hope will have a lot of useful information for everyone in terms of how to deal with these incidents, what to do, protecting yourself, identifying persons who may be trying to engage in this activity, where to get help, how to get help, and more. Along with that updating our Info for Parents and other pages with this updates information as well. Thank goodness. I hope this could put an end to throwing such matters out in public, since it generates a negative, uncomfortable atmosphere when it's not entirely something that gaia can do anything about the specific claims being made. And also helpful for any users that just aren't that aware of internet safety and how to properly report these things. I greatly appreciate you are going more in depth with it. :3 No problem! I agree that the nature of "outing" threads is negative, even if it does alert us to situations that we may not be aware of. We ultimately want to foster a safe environment for Gaians but understand that due to the nature of the internet we can't be everywhere and can't enforce it on every site and program. People will always use other means to try and get what they want. However, we can do a better job of surfacing information that users should know and letting them know how we can help. That's why when this initially came up I was quick to want to put out an informational thread, but knew that something quick and incomplete would just lead to us having to do even more adjustments. So instead of rushing it out, we want to take a little bit more time and make sure the information we present is accurate, complete, and helpful which means taking a little more time to do more thorough research.

There’s been a quite a bit of nasty stuff going on in the forums recently *cough cb cough* and I really think gaia could benefit from a few more FAs. I subbed an application a while ago but haven’t heard anything one way or the other. ;w; Hi there, I can definitely say that FA applications are being looked at, but as I am not in charge of that area I can't say when new FA's will be added unfortunately. Lanzer Queer Mishel More of a forums feature comment.8 U8 I don't post very often, but I'm having to click those matching box image captchas more than before... even in my own thread. And sometimes I'll have to go through up to 4 sets of image matching, although I get them all correct. I hope you'll consider using a different, less annoying/frequent captcha system in threads? It's been configured to show up about once a day for normal usage. If and when it happens it should be a one click effort, unless Google's Re-Captcha detect some potential problems. Might you be running any sort of VPN or proxy software?

October 31st, 2018: Lanzer houjun-san Bug How come captcha does not work on quick reply? When I do quick reply and prfor9the captcha, other just check or select picture, it will be successful but when o clock reply, it won't post So I had to click the reply button, go in and do the captcha and click post. That's the only time it'll post That's odd, I'll put that on the bug list. Lanzer 2sammygate misccan you have a note about the img="size" tags posted in the change signature section? people tend to not know they exist until told about them. The BBCode for images from non whitelisted sites are broken when you have "show_all_images" selected. It seems to be fine when "show_all_whitelisted_images" is selected under the settings. I personally don't use imgur since the issue that imgur/Gaia had a few years ago. I personally don't trust them not to pull that crap again. But Imgur is one of the whitelisted sites. I really don't want to have to click on each little Policeman just to view an image just because it isn't from a whitelisted site. I'm not the only one that is effected by this, but it is annoying since most of my post layouts are pretty much screwed over. I am pretty sure there are people who use other sites for image hosting when it comes to their profile layouts on their roleplaying posts, if not for their own profiles. I did report about the bug here. My question is this: Is this a bug caused by the server migrations? If so, when will it be fixed? That option was implemented when we had an issue with our third party solution for proxy hosting images. I'll check on that feature again and if it's fixed we will resume displaying all images. Unfortunately our old search engine is too old and we needed to re-configure a brand new search engine, so it takes a lot longer than I expected. Hopefully by Friday we'll have something up. Forum indexes will take more time to fill, probably middle of next week is when forum search is ready. Lanzer Athearn trouble posting it goes into a long wait then errors out Looks like a few web servers are crapping out. We're looking into it now.

December 19th, 2018: Lanzer Canicuss Forum postingEach time I post in the forums it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute just to get to the dialogue box to load, this has been an ongoing problem for me for the last 2 or 3 months, I thought it would get better after the migration, but that's not the case. It's really dampening my desire to participate in the forum discussions. Typically, this is the slowest part of the site for me as most of the other features work in a timely manner. Sorry there are a few things that we still need to optimize for the site after migration, and I hope that the mobile site will also help make things faster.

It'll just be stuck forever so, instead, i'll have to go to the reply page, redo the captcha, and submit. is there anyway you can get this fixed? literally just encountered a captcha for this post Forgot to add this to my to-do list last time, I'll add that to the list, will have it fixed this week or the next.

January 15th, 2019: Lanzer Shallotte Art / FeaturesMe and a bunch of others would like to start doing image based roleplaying. But it doesn't fit in ANY forum but the chatterbox- which is a bit undesirable to post in. I know one user want's to bring back Avatar battle- which used to be a highly popular thread(and the type of image reply based threads I'm talking about). And personally, I would like to do a similar project involving Gaia lore/NPC's(having each user contribute to the story), and to try to get a lot of the community involved in it. Can we get a subforum or something where image based role-playing/ image replies are allowed? That sounds fun! We'll work on that.
