Kursha is on Assault The Colonel HP: 39 - 1 = 38 Grandmaster Demolition: x x x x Novice Intelligence: x
While the Colonel flew off in search of murder victims, Kursha decided to relocate. The bench made a terrible hiding place—anyone could see him through the wooden slats—and it was directly beneath one of the alarms. He was pretty sure he was going to be permanently deaf by the end of this. Unfortunately, the sirens were going off everywhere. Kursha tried the west side, the north, the south, the east... everywhere there was defeaning sound. He lost his patience.
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!!" He screamed, hurling rocks from a nearby planter at the device. It was a futile effort but it helped to relieve some of his anger. Or it would have had he actually been able to break the alarm.
Rasali is on INTEL Coord Rolled: Mansion Peaks (Loyalist-Controlled) Kappadad's HP: 13 - 1 = 12 Grandmaster Recruiting: XXXX
[ Even with all the noise and fear, Rasali was beginning to feel herself doze off. The racks of clothing weren't the worst place to take a nap. Sleeping without sopor slime, however, would prove to be another matter entirely. ]
Skaeys is on ASSAULT Taldad HP: 33 Master Construction: X X X Master Demolition: X X X
Skae yawned and rubbed at his eyes. He'd dozed off somehow and as usual he had no clue where Taldad had taken him. Absently itching at his arm he grimaced as he felt something start to peel off. A closer look at it told him that it was a sopor patch, which he promptly left alone. He didn't remember putting it on, which meant that Taldad had probably done it, somehow.
He crawled out from under one large white wing, earning himself a rumble of warning from the corvus. He dodge the attempts to herd him back under the protective cover and peered out at his surroundings. The mall. Huh. Oh...oh no there was so much glass. And it was daytime.
Cringing Skae went and crawled back under Taldad's wings. Yep. He could deff nap for a while.
Taldad took 0 dmg and did 0 dmg Skae is back from AFK. Ignore the roll.

179/475
LOCATION: COASTAL BASE TARGET: CAPTAIN PUCHEN
New kid rules:
NEW RULES OF NOTE: Kid battle mechanics have changed somewhat for this battle event.
If you're a kid on assault: Roll 2d6 for your first turn after the boss attacks. The first die is the damage you take and any effects that happen, and the second die is your (lusus') damage roll as normal.
Additionally, at half-hour opportunities between rounds, lusii can attack. They roll 1d4 damage that automatically hits. Lusii cannot be healed or support trinketed.
Nightbreak. The rebels, quiet and anxious with rest from the day before, made their way to the Coastal Base. The base, having been cleared of many of its defenders, was unassuming and ripe for conflict. The forces made their way to the innards of the Coastal Base, and at the very core stood one Mapuye Puchen. She was in full uniform. She had not been caught by surprise. Captain Puchen frowned.
“You’ve all made it, I see. Look at what the rebellion has been reduced to. Pathetic.” She spat. Her hand ran down her side to her radio, and she brought it to the side of her head lazily. It buzzed on.
“Reinforcements have arrived from the Coast, Captain. We’re all clear to demolish the remaining rebel bases.”
She looked amused, almost. She put the radio back on her belt and strode towards the group, giving quick glances left and right. Royalist defenders were stationed all around the circular arena. They readied their weapons efficiently. “You’re too late. Old Hemisect is ours. You’ve driven us to violence, and now you must pay the price, yes? What is it… The Phoenix Initiative? Don’t make me laugh. There will be no coming back after this night!”
With a swift stomp of her boot, Mapuye’s troops descended from higher stories and poured out of the entrances. She revealed a peculiar firearm from under her jacket and wasted no time in her assault.
Quote:
FINAL ROUND ABILITIES: These abilities can be used by exhausting your remaining charges of a skill all at once. The X refers to how many charges you have left of the ability. You can only use one of these abilities, so pick wisely! You can use these abilities during the dodge roll by adding the number of dice to the end of your dodge roll. Trolls with 0 HP may also use these abilities. You cannot pair this ability with other abilities, however.
Example: Troll A has 3 unused charges of demolition. They used Artillery. They roll 3D6 damage. They cannot use any other abilities (fortress, probe, catalyst)
Example 2: Troll B is SUPER dead, but has 2 unused charges of recruiting. They used Catalyst during the dodge roll. They roll 4D6. The first 2 dice is the dodge roll and the sum of the third and fourth dice are the amount that they heal. They cannot use any other abilities (fortress, artillery, probe)
FORTRESS (construction): Consume all charges of construction to void extra per-turn damage for XD4 number of rolls. ARTILLERY (demolition): Consume all charges of demolition to deal XD6 automatic damage. PROBE (intelligence): Consume all charges of intelligence to roll 2XD6. For each friendly coordinate you find as a result, gain 2 HP (includes lusii). For each enemy coordinate you find as a result, deal 2 damage. For each dead coordinate you find as a result, get 1 extra roll. CATALYST (recruiting): Consume all charges of recruiting to heal XD6 HP (includes lusii).
ASSAULT TROLLS: TAKE 1 DAMAGE PER ROLL (excludes dodge roll) DURING THIS ROUND AND DEAL 1 EXTRA DAMAGE. INTEL TROLLS: DEAL 1 EXTRA DAMAGE PER FRIENDLY COORDINATE AND TAKE 1 EXTRA DAMAGE PER ENEMY COORDINATE (excludes dodge roll coordinate)
Roll 2D6! For your dodge roll, listings go as follows: If you roll a 1: sharp, whistling needles shoot out of Mapuye’s gun in rapid fire. They are hot yellow, and look incredibly dangerous. Unfortunately, you end up in the crossfire. You begin to feel weak from the poison coating the deadly needles. Take 7 damage, and take 1 additional damage per roll. IF YOU ARE INTEL: You manage to remove the needles just in time, and are near enough to the supplies to stop the adverse effects from occurring. You do not take the additional damage from poison.
If you roll a 2: The chaos ends up with a deadly needle, but fortunately you find cover before things get too bad. Take 5 damage, and take 1 additional damage per roll. IF YOU ARE INTEL: You manage to remove the needles just in time, and are near enough to the supplies to stop the adverse effects from occurring. You do not take the additional damage from poison.
If you roll a 3, you attempt to subdue Mapuye directly. She’s well trained in close combat, and ASSAULT trolls take 4 damage for their efforts. INTEL trolls deal 1 damage instead of 2 on friendly coordinates.
If you roll a 4, the additional royal guards cause havoc. If you are ASSAULT, you take 3 damage. If you are INTEL, you manage to stay to the back of the fray, but the confined space makes it impossible to avoid damage. Take 2 damage.
If you roll a 5, and are INTEL: your quick thinking has allowed you to position rebels to be able to efficiently counter-attack the opposing forces. They were prepared for an attack, but you were prepared for anything. Rebels are scrappy, dammit! You take 2 damage, but deal 1 extra damage this turn. ASSAULT: Dodging Mapuye’s initial attack, you find an opening when she reloads. You assault her directly. Take 2 damage, but deal 1 extra damage this turn.
If you roll a 6, you rush in – everything has prepared you for this moment, and the adrenaline kicks in as the battle begins. INTEL: You don’t take damage from enemy coordinates this round, and deal double damage. ASSAULT: You don’t take damage this round, and deal double damage.
THIS ROUND ENDS AT 11:30 PM PST AT THE LATEST
THE FINAL BATTLE IS AT HAND
[2,2] [3,3] [4,4] [6,6] if one of the above coordinates are rolled by intel trolls, all trolls deal 2x damage. If one of the above has already been rolled, each subsequent roll will deal 6 damage (before doubling) instead of 2. • • • – – – • • •

ODETTE is on INTEL Coordinate: Lighthouse [6,1] HP: 20 Intel: X
Odette was driven mad by the sight of Mapuye shooting at her fellow rebels. How dare she attack them so carelessly, shooting at mere children— and their lusii. She was so unaware of the preciousness of life. All highbloods were so careless, so uncaring. Horrible, terrible, unthoughtful trolls. She clenched her knuckles and her cheeks puffed with anger. She'd put an end to this tyranny. Tonight.
Stryke is on Intel Coordinate Rolled: N/A! Negated. SkinkDad HP: 16-? = ? Master Intelligence: XXX Master Recruiting: X X X
Was it really going to end like this? They'd been cornered by a fearsome troll who had a gun. Terrified he moved himself out of the line of fire before he and his lusus met the end of the gun...he had to think.
These trolls were so loud, so VERY LOUD, it was such a rush Vremea couldn't THINK at ALL. It was as if her mind was going crazy, and they were screaming so loudly... Not only that but they were attacking from every direction... She couldn't help but thrash wildly, barely hitting anything while she panicked.
Vremea is on ATTACK HP: 12-3-1 = 8HP Grandmaster Recruiting: x x x x Support Artifact Style A: x
ODETTE is on INTEL Coordinate: Dead Fields [1,3] (gives reroll) and Beach Shack [6,6] HP: 20 Intel: X
Odette weaved her way through the rebel crowd and organized some of the children and their lusii behind makeshift covers to protect them from shots. She did so while keeping track of the rebel radio waves, still searching for coordinates that may give the rebels an opening, or more importantly, an escape.
Stryke is on Intel Coordinate Rolled: Dead Fields [1,3] SkinkDad HP: 16-7 = 9 Master Intelligence: XXX Master Recruiting: X X X
Poking his head out from behind the spot he'd been situated at, the flurry of bullets had infact..not stopped. Screaming in terror he threw his hands up in front of his face, but it was his Lusus..and not he who took the reign of pushing blows. The creature wasn't dead, but he certainly didn't look good. As he was so close to the medical equipment and tears stinging his eyes he quickly picked out the needles from the bullet spray at at least was able to remove the source of poison his lusus would have otherwise suffered from.
The skink-lusus seemed wobblie, all the effects of war and battle were beginning to wear on him.
Strykes lusus deals (3)*2 = 6 damage . He takes 7 damage! Can re-roll. uh..i just realized 1,3 was destroyed...so no damage dealt!
Finally. This was all Kursha had ever wanted: a fire fight. Forget all the politics, all power grabs, all the social injustices, and all the other bullshit. He just wanted a good old-fashioned shootout. That was the whole reason he joined the conflict it after all. And what was so wrong about that?
Kursha rolled behind a stall, just narrowly avoiding one of the stinging hot needles that shot out of the Captain's gun. Somewhere above, he heard the Colonel screaming. He cursed under his breath. There was only one problem with the current scenario. He did not have his rifle of course. It was kind of difficult to have a fire fight if one of the combatants was missing his gun. Still, Kursha was not one to sit about idly. He looked around wildly for anything he could use as a weapon.
There. The stall next to him. There was a crate of scavenged parts that had gone unused. He took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself. Then he jumped to his feet and sprinted for it. Something buzzed past him. Then another something struck him in the arm. He stumbled but managed to keep himself upright.
When he was safely behind the other stall, he investigated the damage. A needle had embedded itself in his forearm, rewarding him with stinging pain. He grit his teeth and pulled it out. It was small enough that it did not hurt much when he did but... oh... His vision spun.
That b***h.
Kursha hurled a pipe at the Captain. "Pretty ******** cheap!" he screamed, pitching more garbage. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Colonel erupt from a cluster of soldiers, with her beak, talons, and wings stained in a rainbow of blood.
ODETTE is on INTEL Coordinate: Four Fronds Highway [4,5] HP: 20
Odette ran between covers, trying to find pieces of information the royals may have left behind. Something hit her in her temple, but she didn't notice with all of the adrenaline pumping through her blood. She didn't feel a thing until she felt something warm trickle down her cheekbone.
Stryke is on Intel Coordinate Rolled: N/A SkinkDad HP: 9 + 14 = 23 Master Intelligence: XXX Master Recruiting: XXX
No. Seeing his protector bleeding because he'd been stupid enough to look when a crazy woman was busy shooting off a spray of bullets just didn't work in his books. Stryke wasn't ready to give up, nor in and without his lusus he was useless in combat. Putting his energy into it, and effort, putting his time and resources..all those trolls he'd tried to talk into recruiting..all the practice he'd done back at the Wood Sanctuary into this task.
It was risky to stop and try and do anything and everything within his power to keep SkinkDad safe..his push biscuit thudded like a dull roar. Leaning back he admired his handy work feeling guilty but glad at least the creature didn't look so weak. Satisfied they both were as safe as it was going to get, the pair moved away to a safer location behind a transporter
Stryke uses Catalyst!
He heals up his lusii for 14 HP and used all his recruitment charges.
Milieu is on ASSAULT OwlMom HP: 32 - 3 = 29 Master Construction: x x x
It was happening. They had reached the coastal base. Milieu trudged up the side of the mountain, her body aching and battered. Whatever happened now... it was meant to be. So many friends were gone, or harmed. There were bodies everywhere. Was this really the legacy they wanted to leave behind? Could Alternia only be changed through violence?
What of the trolls on this side, anyway? What about Stryke and Kursha? Hadn't they been teammates, friends, compatriots? And yet... Kursha had attacked Stryke. Had used slurs and bloodracism against him. Wasn't the initiative about abolishing the system? Yet those inside of it, inside the initiative, were still upholding it.
There she was. The Queen b***h, sitting on her hive of broken dreams. Grounding her teeth, Milieu grasped the short stick she had been using to fight with. Owl mom hooted angrily beside her. The leader of the royalists was strong. Her firepower and aim were impressive. Bullets grazed over Milieu's skin. She'd never been shot at or shot before. It was terrifying.
In a moment when the captain reloaded, Owl mom swung in to land a blow. It was just a gaze, but it was better than nothing.
