Kail listened to Marlo a bit disbelieving of the man when he said that he could fix their views by showing his spitfire. "You think that will work that I'll omega off as hot headed and they'll forget I had pitch as a dominant?" Kail questioned turning away a bit. When the man told him to look in front of him for a dominant he felt more disbelief. "Really, after every thing you would be my dominant?" Kail questioned.

Kail nodded when Marlo said that I'd he acted meek and naive w wry one would treat him as a child. "I don't want to not be myself." He commented. Hearing Marlo say he had planned on asking him when he returned brought a sad smile to his face. "No, I do want to be it's just what about your parents, my family has nothing like yours." Kail stated.

"I am not just looking on the surface. I don't have much that I can add to your world Marlo besides myself. I don't know what I want to do with my life, I don't have money. My family works for yours which is why I can go to this school and i'll be able to go to college. Without my parents working for yours I would be in a normal school system and I wouldn't be going to college." Kail protested. "I want to be someone that can live up to you, that can equal you and I can't." he continued with a sad look. "I don't want anyone to ever think that i'm using you to get higher in the world, I want it to be about just us."

Kail was going to say more when the man asked him if he was proposing to him. "What? I couldn't. You're probably already engaged to someone I know better than to even try. I know that this can only be temporary." Kail stated blushing deeply.

Kail didn't know what to think about Marlo's smile but when the man advanced on him he backed up until only the wall was left between him and Marlo. Kail didn't know what to say when the man said he could break it off if he was already promised to someone. His blush deepened when Marlo locked his ear before turning away. "Its not funny Marlo, your parents would never allow it and you would hurt the other person." Kail finally argued.

"I don't want to break up something Marlo even if its arranged. Not when its someone that is supposed to match you well." Kail explained. He didn't know if Marlo's parents would really be fine with it. He did know that Marlo's father liked to do things on the spur of the moment but he couldn't see how something they had planned probably for a long time would easily be broken off. "You don't get it." Kail stated when Marlo asked why he looked so hurt over it. "It'll never be me, it can't be and all your teasing it hurts because I know that even if I can have you it will only be for a little while. I can't decide what will hurt more not taking the opportunity or taking it and dealing with the pain when I lose you again." Kail explained. "When Pitch told me not to talk to you and then you didn't talk to me that night I thought you were abandoning me again. I thought you were mad because I had taken a dominant while you were gone, someone that you didn't get a chance to approve of or not." Kail continued tears coming to his eyes again. He was rambling and he knew it but he couldn't stop the words.

Kail looked to Marlo when the man said to march up to his parents and tell them that he wanted to marry him instead. "I only have one reason." Kail exclaimed tearfully. He knew now that Marlo had wanted him to call his name but at the time it had hurt and he could only imagine it would feel the same when he lost the man again.

Kail couldn't help but be stunned when Marlo told him to keep his reason to himself. Then that the man was saying that after the trial they would go see his parents and he could tell them his reason. He moved to the table hiccuping past tears he was trying to stop when Marlo gestured. "You don't want to know?" he questioned still surprised. "Thank you..." he thanked when Marlo told him what dinner was.
