The only thing that was moving on Bad Boy was his face, as he had a look of pain and agony from the back breaker of a move. The move nearly paralyzing his body as any movement caused more pain to his back, and the blood lost from the match made it more of a struggle. Soon Matt's arm would be draped on his chest.
ONE!.....
TWO!.....
THREE!
The bell rang as Bad lay still on the mat, conquered by The Storm.

At the sound of the three, the audience became a sea of confusion. Many stayed silent, not at all approving of Bad Boy losing in his home state. Others booed loudly to show their disgust for the continuation of The Storm's Reign. Whatever response they gave, it was always overpowered...
BOOM!!!
... by the classic crash of thunder. The roar from the skies that signified that once again, Shanahan came out on top. "Short Change Hero" began to play through the air to confirm who the winner was for anyone crazy enough to buy merchandise or go to the bathroom during this epic match-up.
"Here is your winner, and still WWF:G Legacy Champion... MATT! SHAAAANAHAAAAAAN!"
The announcer's voice ripped over the speakers, barely noticeable over Matt's theme and the sounds of thunder raging above. Even with the announcement, The Storm stayed down on the mat right beside Bad Boy, his arm still draped over the man. He remained unmoving until the referee ran over with the title belt in hand and nudged Matt on the shoulder. Slowly, Shanahan lifted his bloodied face up off the mat to stare up at the referee through the red haze. With a grunt, he rolled away from Bad and began to sat up, his face pulled into a tight grimace with the exertion of effort. With the help of the ropes, The Storm managed to get up to his feet to accept his championship belt. After stumbling towards the referee to snatch it away, he looked down at his fallen challenger with narrowed eyes. This man pushed him to a limit he hadn't reached in over a year. This man, one that he knew nothing of and never faced before in his entire career, managed to put up more of a fight than any had in a long time. With a slight scowl on his lips, Matt turned away and began to limp towards the turnbuckles, intent on taking his title and going home.
Once he reached the ropes, he stopped. His eyes cast down to stare at the mat for a long moment, tuning out the music, the fans, and everything else in the arena. He looked over his shoulder to stare down at Bad one more time; this was the man that had given him his best match in a long time. The Storm turned on heel and walked back towards the center of the ring, standing near Bad, as if waiting for the man to stand up. The medical team that had jut arrived on the scene quickly halted their progress once Matt walked back towards Bad. Surely he wasn't going to add insult to injury already?!

The EMTs surrounding Bad, checking on the cut from the match earlier that emptied out a good amount of blood. The EMTs all backing away when Matt walked up. Bad finally able to move, slowly started to try getting up, but the only thing he could get up to was leaning on his elbow so that he was somewhat sit up towards The Champ, incapable of defending himself. Could he be going through another beating?

The EMTs scattered and left the two competitors alone. The cold stare of The Storm was fixated on the former WWF:G Champion, as if sizing up the competitor for another go. Instead, he did something no one saw coming; he lowered his free hand down to the man, an offer to help the man up to his feet.

Bad Boy, being completely taken back, slowly lifted his other arm up that wasn't supporting him and grabbed onto Matt's hand, pulling himself up to his feet thanks to his help. The crowd started to get to their feet and clap for the two combatants as they had destroyed each other throughout the match, and had one of the most explosive endings ever. After being helped to his feet Bad would also use Matt to help get to a sturdy base.

Matt paid no mind that the man was using him as help to maintain his balance; he wasn't exactly in his most capable form either. Once Bad was sturdy on both feet, Shanahan took the hand he had grabbed to help the man up, and lifted it high in the air for the world to see. A show of respect that many thought was beyond The Storm's cruel personality, but here he was, lifting the arm of his challenger.
