Deyanira Zaboonski Strafe >> N E E R A "You're welcome." Neera muttered wearily in response to the "green-haired" man's sarcastic expression of courtesy. In the predicament they were in, she was in no mood offer any voluntary signs of apology to anyone.
Whatever amount of time it took to get here, it had allowed her bones and muscles feel stiff. She shifted her aching muscles and swore loudly as the men forcefully pulled her out of the vehicle before she could recover her blood circulation in her legs. Neera could hear the objection from the "green-haired" man next to her and she reacted responsively to the movement of one of the bad men coming on towards her. Neera was full of protests as they lead her along with the other hostages into the cold room.
"For gods sake touch me and I'll knock your teeth out. On behalf of both of us DON'T touch me." She snapped distastefully at the closest man to her. As he removed the bag over her head she mockingly added a mutter loud enough for everyone around them to hear "...but then again why should I improve your looks." She mocked him, as he was a large grotesque looking man with a crooked nose and patched scars stretching across his eyes.
"Why you--I'm going to break your skull before you try anything like that you loathsome little girl" the large man snarled he grabbed her by a handful of hair and dragged her across the room before lifting her off the ground.
"Just try it." She challenged in clenched smile shrugging through his grip, "What, can't handle a little girl?" She was doing well at hiding agonizing pain coursing through her scalp. In truth she knew he probably did indeed possess the strength to carry out his threats, but it did make her feel better by bruising his male ego a bit. Two other accomplices quickly rushed to the situation and wrestled him off of her, slamming her against the wall painfully to subdue the situation before it got out of hand and tossing her into the crowd of other hostages, landing not too far from Alec. One of them cocked a gun at her face, threw the clothes at her and threatened her to stay silent.
Ironically enough, Neera was the first to willingly undress with little protest, unashamed of the guards "monitoring" her as she did so under the dim lighting. The other women wept and tried to conceal themselves out of embarrassment but Neera was brazenly unaffected by any humiliation. She was somewhat glad to have rid of her sweaty work-out clothes even if they were replaced with baggy and unkempt loose clothing. She glanced over at Alec next to her, surprised to find that he was actually a red-head. "Hey Green," She dubbed him without giving him any clue as to why he was nicknamed so, "I found your eyeballs in my cleavage earlier, aren't you going to undress?" Neera gave him a hard time before he started to undress, not because he had actually eyeballed her but because Neera is just terrible at striking conversation. She just so happened to notice him momentarily glance over in her direction it was just coincidental that Alec was right next to her when she took off her clothes.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer
Pierson closed her eyes as her old friend spoke in the only way she could now. Batty obviously meant Aali, "blind as a bat" she supposed. "Pearce doesn't need to like the fact that you are out, but she needs your help." It was a dangerous thing, to play along with the insane woman's games, but it was the only way she could get her to cooperate anymore. "No, I'm not here to play Jin... Batty is hurt and he needs your help." She reached up and took the child-minded woman's hand and squeezed it. It hurt Pierson to see Jin like this, and though she could be very annoying and uncontrollable to the point where needed to be locked down here for the rest of her life, Pierson missed her friend. The way she used to be before everything that happened to her. "When you're done helping, maybe I can take you outside for a little bit. It's gotta be awfully stuffy in here." The psychiatrist looked around the room at the portraits and drawings she had made; many of them Pierson recognized, and most, if not all of them, were people she hadn't met. It seemed her old friend had a fixation on her life, and was seeing what would happen to her rather than focus on herself. Though what more could she see for herself other than what there was in the present. Pierson had tried to help Jin time and time again, but whatever happened to her had permanently broken her. There was nothing more she could do for her other than make her comfortable in her isolation.

Zack Hoyt
”Ha ha. Very funny…” Zack retorted in response to Charlie’s first statement after he had shown her the keys to the Jeep. Did these two think he was useless to them? Or, was Charlie trying to give him a compliment, or was she trying to throw in a subtle insult? The other part about Blink making sure Zack didn’t kill them while they were driving ticked him off too. By all rights, Zack was an excellent driver. Otherwise, Corry’s sister would never let him drive her car. Hell, she wouldn’t even let Corry drive it! She trusted Zack with her car more than her own brother, which was saying a lot. And would these two stop acting so freaking… mushy? They were going to rescue hostages, not go out on a hot date! Under normal circumstances, he would tell them to get room for that kind of s**t. But right now, Zack didn’t care too much about the comments Matthias and Charlie made about him. He was focused on saving his best friend. He headed straight for the car, unlocked the doors and climbed into the driver’s seat. ”Will you two shut up and get in the car already?” Zack growled as he turned the keys in the ignition. Some music, one of his band’s demo CDs, played loudly from the speakers in the car when the engine turned on.
When Matthias started commenting on the stuff about that Pierson-lady being interested in recruiting him, Zack scoffed and narrowed his eyes. The only person Zack felt he had to impress or prove himself to was himself. Not the PCI, not his family, not anyone really. He shifted the Jeep into reverse and pulled out of the parking spot faster than most people which caused the cabin of the car to wobble a little bit. All of that without hitting other cars too. Once out of the parking space, Zack expertly shifted the Jeep into drive before pressing the gas pedal and pealing out of the parking lot of the bar, heading out onto the road with a shriek of the tires. Despite how fast the speed of the car was, well over the speed limit actually, Zack was still a very good driver. Usually he pet the car closer to the speed limit but still over it, but this situation was an extenuating circumstance. He just had to be extra careful and not damage the Jeep in any way because if he did he was sure that Corry’s sister would never let him touch her car again.
Soon enough, Zack pulled the Jeep out onto I90, still going well over the speed limit. ”Hey! Aren’t one of you supposed to be giving me directions?” he asked, keeping his eyes focused on the road and serving around a couple of cars who were most definitely going slower than the Jeep was. This, of course, earned Zack a couple of loud and wailing horns from the other drivers. He didn’t care though because all that mattered was finding those kidnappers and rescuing the hostages.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Matthias leaned forward a bit narrowing his eyes as the gang traveled quickly down the street. The smell of air freshener was coating the victims scent. "Things have gotten a bit blurry since we've left the bar. It looks like they're trying to cover up there tracks with an air freshener of sorts." Blink laughed brushing the point of his nose and sitting back in his seat. "These guys are very strategic, but they'll need to do a bit better than that if they hoped to detour us. Slow down a bit as we approach this light. The scent has become much stronger now." Blink said unfastening his seatbelt as the car continued to roll. He didn't have a firearm at his hip if another gunfight erupted. Blink knew it would most likely be these terrorists first resort. But if more bloodshed could be avoided, that would be ideal. "I'd really hate to show up to the party empty handed...being uninvited and all. Hey Charlie..? Isn't there a PCI Arms Unit somewhere nearby? I could use the guns." Blink removed his phone from his pocket. All of his com signals were failing as the group grew closer.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .Charlie's hands moved erratically as she searched through the data streams, opening and closing items as she needed them. She was monitoring traffic cams along the route, listening to police chatter for an indication of where the vans had gone as well, and looking up the nearest locations of PCI store houses and armed units. "Arms Unit is too far." Charlie muttered, her hands still flying in the back seat of the Jeep. "Zack, when Blink's done his thing, turn left at the light. There's a weapons locker of sorts nearby." Charlie smirked, remembering her first visit to this weapons locker, but it quickly turned into a frown. "These guys are certainly prepared for us. There aren't any towers near the warehouse they seemed to have set up camp in, and they've dismantled everyone's phones. Alec's tracer is still operational and his vitals are steady. I tracked the GPS's in the vans... Looks like they arrived there about ten minutes ago, which means the timing will work out perfectly for us. Zack, if you could please, pull into the driveway of the last house on the left." Before the Jeep rolled to a stop, Charlie pulled up various local news feeds to keep tabs on whether or not the rebel groups made any demands. Everything seemed quiet on that front, which was also good news for the PCI agents.
They had pulled into the driveway, illuminated by the porch light shining brightly in the semi-dark night. Charlie hopped out of the back of the vehicle, and made sure the guys exited the Jeep as well. The house they were currently visiting was straight out of one of those "community" magazines, just one of many identical houses in identical rows stretching back for miles, except this one stood slightly on its own, further away from the others on the street. Charlie walked up to the front door and rang the bell, with Zack and Matthais falling in beside her. The door swung open to reveal a little old lady with beautiful ebony skin, wearing a scowl and pointing the business end of a double barrel shotgun directly between Zack's eyes. "Kage, Blink," The woman said in her unwavering grandma voice, never removing her eye from the sight of the barrel or her target. "Good ta see ya, as always. But who's this one with ya? No one told me y'all were comin'." A deep chuckle sounded from inside the house, and a huge paw of a hand came to rest on the old woman's shoulder. "Now you be nice, Maw Maw." A deep voice rumbled from inside the house. "Kage sent me a text message and let me know she'd be comin' and bringin' along an unfamiliar face. He's got the all clear." The old woman lowered her shotgun, eyeing Zack suspiciously before turning away and mumbling to herself. "These new fangled devices I'll never understand..." "She's in a good mood." Charlie laughed and stepped across the threshold, blinking in the sudden bright light. The house looked like any other in the subdivision - a small dining room to the left, with a kitchen tucked in behind, and a living room to the right. Directly across from the front door were two sets of stairs, one going up and the other heading down. "Bear, this is Zack. We're looking to recruit him into PCI, but there are some extenuating circumstances, and well...consider him a friendly, and please speak freely." "Nice to meet you, Zack." The man called Bear stepped forward, extending his hand for a shake, and the origin of his code name was immediately apparent. Bear stood a hulking 7 and a half feet tall, and was wide enough that most grown men couldn't fit their arms around him. He had the same beautiful ebony skin his grandmother did, but his most startling feature was the cold, bright, ice blue eyes that peered back at you. Even relaxed, it was hard not to get the distinct impression that the man could snap you like a twig should the mood strike him. He nodded a greeting to Blink as well. "We need weapons, Bear. And a change of clothes for me please." Charlie said, reaching up as he bent down to give her a gentle hug. Bear turned and motioned them to follow him, leading them down the stairs into the basement. "There's been a bit of a hostage situation. Zack's best friend Corry was taken, a few locals and...they got Alec." Bear turned sharply to look at Charlie, his eyes blazing briefly before flicking on the light in the basement. "I better give you the whole outfit then." Bear flicked another switch, and all of the furniture in the room flipped to reveal weapons of all types - a selection that had made Charlie's jaw drop the first time she'd seen it. To be honest, it still made her drool a little, every time. Bear chuckled at her and inclined his head. "I'll go get ya a uniform. Anything else y'all need, just holler." Leaving the boys to their own devices, Charlie set across the room, admiring the weapons and testing out the various fits in her hands. She found two sais that fit perfectly, and a hand gun for each hip, plus lots of extra rounds. She grabbed a small blade as well, coated with a paralytic for close range fights. Charlie missed her own weapons, but these would do in the mean time. Bear took excellent care of all of them, ensuring they were in perfect working condition. He handed her a clean PCI uniform, and then turned to a wall where Blink was admiring something. Charlie changed quickly, sliding weapons into holsters and any other place she could possibly fit them. When she was finished, she folded her dress in her hands and said "Alright, it's time to work. Thanks for your help, as always, Bear." The huge man nodded and smiled, revealing fangs as long as Charlie's middle finger. "If you need any back up, you know how to reach me." Charlie grinned and waved, leading the guys back up the stairs and out to the Jeep. "Head back to the set of lights and go straight through. Follow the road for about two miles and we'll come up to the building. Pierson's orders were to get in and get out as quickly as possible with the hostages. Use of lethal force is authorized, so long as it's in self defense. Let's go, boys." Charlie smiled at them as she hopped back into the back seat of the Jeep. "It's time to rescue us some hostages."

Alec Braely"Damn Doctor" Alec wasnt aware he was staring at the fiery red head until she snapped at him and he looked down at his own jumpers. she was... spirited, a lot like Charlie but... with no restraint it seemed. Charlie at least had some sense of self preservation when it came to standing up to the enemy. "im... sorry?' the question in his voice was more from his own confusion, he was a doctor, so why did he feel the need to apologize. She had called him Mr Green he noted, he had not heard anyone call him that in some time. He began to take off his shirt after she spoke, starting to see a patern in her behavior as he pulled it off and looked down at his chest to rub the bruise, the swelling now gone due to his "super" healing, but it was still tender even thought the fracture was fixed. "you can just call me doctor, i am a medical professional, the coat isn't just for looks, you could also ust call me Alec" he chuckled, she was trying to find her own way of coping for this rather unsettling situation, he could see that. A blonde suddenly fell into him, the young man looking very pale stammered an apology and looked very confused by his surroundings. Bumping lightly into Neera the only thing that distracted him was the whimpering coming from the kid on the floor. "Are you... are you alright?" he crouched down to check on the boy, the tattoo on his right shoulder reminded him of the drummer from the band that night. A friend of Zack's he figured as he recalled what Pierson had said about them. "Hey, relax, im not going to hurt you" Corry "Drummer"Things went south for the poor seer as he was tossed into the van with the bag over his head. A laitent ability began to explode in his head while he paniced and whimpered in the car. There was a lot of pain involved, possibly from someone hitting him over the head while he was dragged away kicking and screaming. the man with the mask, the many diffrent masks he would wear through out hte course of events cycled through his head like a warning, makign him sick to his stomach. once they stopped he was half dragged and shoved down the stairs to the room where they would be held, he could taste blood on his palate even though he was uninjured and he knew there was more danger to come. Jin Melatix"Panic""why call it play then? you want me to play with my paitent? that doesn't sound like you Pearce" she giggles as she takes her hand, practically skipping down the hall and glancing at random spots around the room, her eyes flickering from time to time as if she were focusing on different visions, she would smile and laugh as though she saw something funny. As they moved from the holding cell halls and into the main office building agian it was apparant that she was not going to cause Pierson trouble for now. The appointed guards for the ward made sure to scan Piersons hand again for credentials and a signature at the end of the hall to make sure she was still the same, last of all a retnal scan to make sure Jin was not using one of her tricks and they were released. "i never do get to feel the wind on my face anymore... the smell of trees... kids runing arround... funny, all i remember of the world was dead cats and the smell of trash" her voice fades slightly as she stops and the smile vanishes.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Upon stepping out of the jeep and onto the porch, Blink watched, gazing from the corner of his eye, as the double barreled shotgun stared down Zack. He smiled, holding back laughs looking the other way. Maw Maw always did make lasting first impressions, but this woman grew on you the more you saw her. Blink lowered himself to her level, wrapping his arms around her and giving her a bit of a hug. "Hey, Maw Maw! Long time no see.. You look wonderful and the house is spotless like always." He said making his way inside. Bear stood a few feet behind her, easily towering over Matthias who stood in front of him. Being 6'4, Matthias had never felt shorter. Blink approached the large man as if to intimidate him. "Have you gotten smaller, Bear? I think I can see your ribs through that shirt of yours.." The agent said, poking fun at him as he looked him up and down. "I hope your eyes work as well as that nose of yours" said Bear as he poked Blink's nose. Blink playfully smacked Bear's hand away, brushing his nose off. "Yea yea yea...." said the hound.
The group made they're way into the room full of weaponry, where small and large firearms were plentiful. Blink stood in front a couch that mounted a large mini gun within. He pondered the thought of bringing it for a long time before he came to the realization that the overwhelming smell of gunpowder would make him feel sick. Projectile knives were his go to. He stumbled upon a gauntlet case where his favorite toys were housed. Two silver and black gauntlets sporting hidden blades and projectile knives, capable of returning to the gauntlet through magnetism. There were 3 blades in each gauntlet, but who would need many more when they were like dogs on a leash? He quickly put them on, replacing his other ones. He also grabbed two desert eagles and a sniper he holstered on his back. Although not as good a shot as Pierson, Blink knew how to handle himself downrange.
He nodded towards the two making his way back to the Jeep. "Until next time, you two.. Thanks for the 'goodies', again." He fastened his seat belt and readied himself for tonights events.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer
Pierson sighed as they stepped out of the holding facility and into the elevator, Jin stopping and her usual demeanor falling. "I know that's not true Jin, you remember Vahlen and me don't you?" Pierson truly did wonder sometimes if there was anything left of her old friend inside Jin's head. She liked to believe there was, but by all accounts from the way she acted, there was not. Giving a sigh she placed her hand on Jin's shoulder and squeezed lightly, more for her own benefit than Jin's. She hated seeing the girl like this. She used to be so different, so fun and... sane. The elevator stopped at the floor where Aali was being kept in the infirmary. Before they left the elevator, Pierson grabbed Jin's arm and watched her for a moment. "I need you to fix him, not play with him. Please Jin, keep the distractions to a minimum." Pierson may have been asking the impossible of the Seer-Surgeon, but she knew that Jin was once an even more talented surgeon than Alec, and an even more powerful Seer than Aali, it was that power that likely drove her insane. She let go of her arm but still led her to the infirmary and to Aali. Closing the door behind her, she nodded to the nurse who stood up when they entered. The nurse had seen Jin's work before, and knew what she was capable of, which made her more worried than relieved that Aali would have his face fixed.

Jin Melatix"Panic"the hospital was more quiet than she was ready for, Pierson's hand on her shoulder made her jump slightly as she was startled by the sudden gesture, she flinched and pulled away from the woman with an accusing glare. She didn't want to hear that name, but couldn't tell her to shut up where she was. someone might over hear her. Then she giggled if someone did hear her it wasn't like the pink elephant would know. even if he did know... or was it the yellow cow? Pierson stopped her mid thought to speak, there was... regret in her eyes, and she suddenly knew exactly what happened to the man she would be working on. "he cant see!" She gave a loud shout of joy as she now discovered the answer to her most perplexing question. there on the bed was the man she could never picture, never notice, never see. "how long now bat?" she stated as she passed the rather uneasy nurse to hover over the mans face.

The nurse had changed Aali to a hospital gown and been hurried to clean up his face, and his lower back. The bullet wound had been patched up with bandaging which now went around his torso, and his broken nose had a bandaid on it to cover what could be seen of the injury. He had been taught to behave well when under care, but this time he lacked even the energy to try otherwise. The ringing in his ears had stopped, but he felt limp and looked pale. Though Aali was worn, the drip attached to his arm let him stay at certain strength now.
Aali paid little heed when people entered the room, but being addressed had his head turn. Milky eyes stared through Jin and Pierson. "Phone," he said stubbornly, and held out his hand over the edge of the bed. "Bop was supposed to visit. I can't hear the echo of the cafeteria machinery anymore." Meaning it was late in the day, and certain, mostly unnoticeable background noise always found in the building during the day was not present.

Zack Hoyt
That old woman really had been intending to shoot him. Zack wasn’t afraid of death though, as he had already faced it once before. Looking into the jaws of an angry fighting dog and nearly having your every limb torn up by them gave that impression. As such, Zack hadn’t even flinched really.
When the big man Charlie and Blink called ‘Bear’ extended a hand for him to shake, Zack didn’t return the favor to actually return the handshake. It wasn’t that he didn’t like Bear, it was that Zack wasn’t really one to give handshakes. He merely gave a light ‘humph’ in greeting. Fortunately, he wouldn’t have to explain himself as Charlie immediately grabbed Bear’s attention towards what the three of them had come here for: weapons and stuff. As the furniture in the room moved around to reveal the hidden arsenal that Bear and the old woman kept stashed here, Zack wasn’t too surprised given the existence of the rather hefty shotgun the old woman had pointed at him earlier. It was all just a very unexpected occurrence to see a whole living room turn upside-down like that.
He followed Charlie and Blink’s example and went around to look at the various weapons to see if there was anything he would like to use on this mission of theirs. Even though he wasn’t entirely sure that he could use them, he figured it would be okay to take one or two since both Charlie and Matthias had already chosen their own. He had his own trusty gun and a pair of knives in the glove compartment of the Jeep too, so maybe one or two more weapons would be okay. He didn’t know how to use most of the weapons that were shown, but he grabbed another gun, a pair of gauntlets on his forearms. He shoved a couple more rounds for both the guns into his pockets too. He was good at fighting hand to hand, he was also good with a gun too. Granted, he was better with the more widely-known weapons since Zack wasn’t in any sort of military or the PCI, but right now all that mattered was saving the hostages right?
It wasn’t long after he and the two agents had picked out their weapons that Charlie thanked Bear and the old woman before heading back outside to the Jeep, followed closely by Matthias. Zack followed after them and climbed back into the driver’s seat of the Jeep, starting the engine and pulled back out on the road. He followed Charlie’s directions closely, all while keeping the same racing speed as before. She didn’t need to tell him twice what they needed to do in terms of saving these people and his best friend.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .With a quick flick through the final pages before the internet signal faded out, Charlie nodded to herself. "Alright, I have a pretty good idea of the layout of the building they're in. Thank god for municipal building departments with a budget to go digital." The Jeep rolled to the stop in a wooded area Charlie had indicated to Zack. She hopped out of the Jeep and re-checked her weapons and ammo. As the guys did the same, Charlie scanned the building in the distance, mentally calculating the layout and the success rates of various entry options. She'd been chewing it over since the visit to Maw Maw's place. No matter which way she looked at it, Charlie kept coming back to the same conclusion. "Blink, Zack, come here a second. I want to go over the plan." Charlie motioned the guys to gather around a small dirt section in the immediate area. "As far as I can tell, these guys know they're going to be dealing with PCI agents, so Blink, you and I are going to go through the main entrance and meet them head on. We'll see if we can talk our way in, but if not, we'll be able to fight our way in. Which means, Zack, you're really not going to like me." Charlie looked up and locked gazes with Zack. "Are you afraid of heights?" Without waiting for an answer, Charlie rushed on. "Blink and I are going through the front doors, because they're expecting us. They're not expecting you, so we have the element of surprise there, and I want to hold on to that advantage for as long as possible. That means...you're going through the roof. I snagged a harness from Maw Maw's place, and I can show you how to rappel safely through a skylight in the ceiling on the second floor, which is adjacent to the room I think they're holding the hostages in. At least, it's the room I'd be holding the hostages in. I can't get any sort of visual - the cameras are on a closed circuit. Either way, you'll know Blink and I are in when you hear the shots. I'm hoping one of us will be able to get directly under your position to give you the signal to descend. Then the three of us can go into the room with the hostages and bring those people home. Now, come here, I'll show you how to harness up and work the pulleys." About 15 minutes later, Charlie had made Zack run through getting into and out of the harness, as well as the rappelling system twice. Knowing wishing for more time wouldn't do any good, Charlie nodded to Zack. "You got this." Charlie led the guys around the back of the building, and pointed up to the fire escape. "We can boost you up to there, then we'll head in the doors, and it'll shake out." With a quick nod to Matthias, Charlie sank into her knees and laced her fingers together, offering Zack a foothold. The harness and ropes were slung across Zack's back, freeing up his hands to allow him to climb the ladder. "Set your watch for 20 minutes. If you haven't seen one of us by then, head in."
