[ Area 6 ] [Event 2]
The wall was still cold under her fingers, and she was trying in vain to get her bearings straight. The voices weren't helping. Something, someone, bumped into her. Another familiar voice, clear, thank goodness. "Jake?" She gripped him tighter than ever. "I was worried I'd lost you." The voices seemed to laugh, and the darkness seemed thicker. At least Jake was warm, something normal she could cling to. "Come...come on. We should keep moving." Even if she didn't want to. More whispers followed her as she stepped forward. Another voice. A familiar voice. A voice that couldn't be there, any more than her mother's could have. Stupid, she said. Stupid and worthless. I thought you had a better head on your shoulders. I guess not. He's not worth keeping. None of them are. You waste your life here. Sherry gripped Jake tighter, and tried to trudge on.

Space 14 (nothing) -> Space 17 (event 5)Mmur was still rushing ahead when a very familiar voice made him stop short. Mmur.He turned, truly unnerved for the first time since hearing from his sister. That was his voice. "This has really gone too far. I demand to..."You demand. What are you even doing here, you pathetic, directionless husk. If you don't move along, I will...Even though it was what he wanted, Mmur didn't stand his ground. He had to find Nkosazana and get out of here as quickly as he could. Quote: EVENT 5: You hear a voice and it sounds exactly like someone you are afraid of. They begin to threaten you. The jests get worse the longer you linger in the room. Only you can hear them (though you may not realize it). Please do rp it out. This effect persists as long as you are in this corridor.

[Area 3 -> Area 6] (Event 2)
As Darren made his way around the maze, he began to doubt this was the best decision he'd ever made. Maybe he should have tried a different hallway, instead of the one that was a freaking maze. He hated mazes.
"No the worst decision you made was allowing that demon chick to talk you into working off that damn bracelet..." Simply's voice teased in his ear.
Darren growled and kept walking, trying to drown out the voices.
He would not succumb to this.

Lex finally made it out, a small light guiding his way out. The other voice in his head slowly faded out, became nothing like the others. He was still worn from the experience, and decided a small rest was completely necessary.
<< Regal, did you mean what you said in there? >>
< What? Of course not, whelp. I just wanted to get out of that damn place. >[
<< Riiiight... >>

Evan pushed on. He grew used to the sound of his own voice berating him as he wandered through the halls. After a while, it became almost easy to shrug off--after all, it wasn't telling him anything he didn't already tell himself.

Her fingers traced a skimming line along the wall, bumping over each uneven nook and cranny. The Corridor of Dreams had switched from unsettling to enjoyable rapidly. The Corridor of Ancients exerted way too much control over Hanna's ability to make logical choices, which bothered her. The Corridor of Madness? It was kind of awesome, actually.
We're all mad here.
Perhaps it should have concerned Hanna that she felt happiness sneaking through a pitch black maze with potential dangers at every turn, but Hanna saw this as one big puzzle. She stayed calm and focused. She moved efficiently. She did not panic or let the whispering overwhelm her. If Deus ever held an Olympic competition, clearly Hanna should be the representative for navigating in total darkness through a ******** maze. It was her secret super power or something.
When the exit came near, it was also as if Hanna sensed it. She straightened up, smoothing out the creases in her coat. Her steps were careful but quick. As her hand fell on the handle out, a grin crossed her chapped lips. "Gotcha," she whispered -- the first sound she had made in maybe an hour.
The door opened, bathing the area briefly in light, and then Hanna passed out through it.
Another corridor completed.
Now... where was Medea?

Having someone squeeze him so tight when he wasn't expecting it had knocked the wind out of him, but he let out a relieved chuckle and hugged Sherry back, glad to have found her again.
"So was I, but it seems we managed to find each other again." 'But for how long? Will you not lose her again?'
Jake frowned, wishing that the voices would just go away. 'You know it'll happen. That, or she'll leave you. You're not good enough for her anyways.'
He froze, partially out of fear, and partially because... he knew there was some truth behind those words. What if... she did come to realize that he wasn't good enough for her? What if one day, she decided she'd had enough. The thought terrified him, and made him lose Sherry in the process.
"Sherry?" He wandered aimlessly. "... Sherry??"GrnGriff Feel free to move on without him!

The air was cooler here. Fresher. And the sound of his own voice had faded away behind him. Mmur almost stopped to steady himself, but he kept moving instead. The sooner he got out of here, the better.

Darren was glad that he was once again plunged into silence. He sighed weakly as he trudged along, trying to figure out this damn maze as blind as he was.
He was not a puzzle solver in the least. He knew he was not the smartest boil ever but really, this was getting to be too jacking much.

Evan didn't know why or how, but one minute he was stumbling in the dark and the next he was back in the hall he had started in, squinting at the sudden brightness while his eyes adjusted. It was quiet, too, thankfully. He moved on, eager to get away from this place.

Darren felt like he was making good time. He was getting hopeful that maybe, just maybe, he could get out of this place with what small amount of his sanity was intact.
"You're the worst thing mother ever birthed," He heard himself say. "You can't make friends, you can't fight and you certainly can't think for anything... You should have let mother kill you when you failed Rosy the first time...
Darren clamped his hands over his ears, and ran int he darkness - no longer caring about who he might run into, only caring to get out of there and no longer hear his worst thoughts made real.

Space 19 (nothing) -> Space 20 (EXIT!)Mmur rushed ahead, trying to and succeeding at keeping himself to a quick walk rather than a more desperate jog or run. He was still a horseman, after all. He was still strong and proud, even if the absence of a more physical way to defend himself from the maze had put him on edge. He smiled at the tall priestess as he found the exit and saw she had beaten him there, stifling his mirth slightly when he realized they weren't yet at the top. "It is good to see you have made it through as well. And much faster than I did."

{Enter} {Area 1 - Event 1}
Rosy kept running until she was suddenly blinded once again. Having just left one corridor, she instantly came to a stop as she balls her fist up. This was jacking nuts! How was she suppose to get out of this tower, if they were going to keep blinding her? Carefully moving, she reach out to brush her fingers over the stone wall.
She felt a strange pattern, unsure of what it was.
"You'll never figure it out...."
The voice made her duck her head, cringing as she shakes a little.
Of all the whisper....why her mother.
She growls as she bites her tongue for a brief second "We'll see about that..." keeping her hand on the wall as best as she could, she starts to walk.

((Shaheen Enter))
Area 1 - Area 4 Darkness is what greeted her next. A darkness so absolute she thought that perhaps she had gone blind. Had she? It wouldn't surprise her. She had gone blind, and deaf, and mute, in a tower once before. A tower of endless stairs. Was this to be the tower of endless rooms?
With a huffing sound that was somewhere between a sigh and a sound of annoyance, Shaheen began to walk. It didn't take her long to realize that she was trapped between two stone walls, but she meandered from side to side, reaching for each, until she found a turn, an opening of some kind.
Following it, she continued to place her hand on the wall to her right, following it a long, further, further still until...
Thunk.
She ran straight into a wall to her front. A dead end, then? She followed the wall around, until she was facing back the way she came when suddenly....
Voices. Or a singular voice, at least. It was jabbering at her, in a way that she couldn't understand. "Stop it." She hissed, at whoever it was, but the voice continued on, louder, more menacing in it's tone.
It was almost reminiscent of the whispers in her head, only much more obnoxious, if that were even possible.
