Eun-Ho Joong Haneul sat on the guest bed in his towel, wet hair plastered to the sides of his face and clothing laid out beside him. Now that he smelled better and felt more human, he could think more clearly, although his thoughts centered one male: that stupid, uptight butler. It was that face he made that did it for the Korean, that sweet smile that hid behind the disapproving frown. Although Heinrich was harsh, Haneul could see how cute he really was, and he wanted to wrap his arms around him and hear him say something nice for once. Haneul opened the book he held in his hands, flipping through the well-loved book he'd only read the once and never looked at again. So this was Heinrich's favorite book... With one more sigh, he started at the front page and started to read, not looking up until Eun-Ho entered the room. " Hey, man! You should wear this." The blonde tossed a dark green tie at the man, who caught it with ease and stood. Throwing his own clothes onto the bed, the two started to dress, staying in a comfortable silence. At one point, Haneul finally spoke, buttoning the buttons of his black shirt. " What do you think of Heinrich?" he asked, lifting up the collar. " I guess he's okay," shrugged Eun-Ho as he zipped up his black skinny jeans. Tugging a white t-shirt over his body, he frowned a little. " What kind of question is that?" " Just curious, man," replied Haneul nonchalantly. He knotted the tie, stuffing in the pockets of his blue jeans. " I mean, he's kinda cool. Stuffy, but cool." The dancer buttoned his black vest, wrapping a light blue scarf around his neck loosely. " Don't tell me you're crushing on him!" he laughed, grabbing Haneul's black bowler hat and slamming it on his brown-haired head. " Dude, you don't stand a damn chance. He's wound tighter than your Aunt Gladys' a**. Besides, he hates you." " For now," was his chilled answer, taking off the hat momentarily to tie his hair back into a ponytail and put his hoops into his ears. Sliding his glasses on, the man stuffed his hands back into his pockets and nodded to the door. " Come on, I'm starving." " Roger that," nodded Eun-Ho after spraying on a bit of cologne. He gestured to the bottle, silently asking if Haneul wanted any. A shaken head was his reply, and the two handsome young men started down the hall. " Are we good enough for your table now, Heiny?" chuckled the brunette as he sat at the table on one side of the king, shaking his head as Eun-Ho moved his own chair beside the king as close as he could without practically sitting on him. " What do you think, Bal?" he asked, eyes wide and sparkling. Haneul rolled his eyes.

King Balthazar ________________________________________________
Heinrich was pouring Balthazar a glass of wine when he heard the other two walk in. He turned to look at them, stiffening and tightly gripping the neck of the bottle when he heard the question. "Call me that one more time and the only thing you will eat will be a bar of soap!" he seethed. Quickly calming down for the king's sake, he stood a couple feet behind his chair, one arm held up and holding a towel much like a waiter would. He held a blank face and kept his eyes away from the table respectively, refusing to eat at the same time as royalty, even if Balthazar insisted. All three plates on the table were already filled with food from each dish. Having long given up on trying to get the butler to eat, Balthazar sipped his wine before looking at Eun-Ho. "You look remarkable." he complimented and smiled down at him. "I almost mistook you for one of the dishes." The butler's blank face twitched with a frown for a split second as hearts popped out from between the two once again.

Eun-Ho Joong " You so sexy when you're angry, Heiny~" purred the brunette as he winked at the butler and picked up a tartlet. Placing it in his mouth, he chewed slowly, savoring the taste and deciding if he liked it or not. The tartlet was adequate, considering how little there was int he apartment to make it, and he definitely enjoyed the texture. He rated it quietly in his head before moving on to the pasta, which he immediately fell in love with. Wow, gorgeous, feisty, and a great cook, too? Heinrich was becoming more delicious by the second. Eun-Ho blushed under the king's gaze, ducking his head in embarrassment. " Bal, you're making me nervous," he giggled, licking his lips and attempting to focus on his food. He couldn't focus for long, though, soon looking up at his lover biting his lip. " At this rate, Chuseok is going to be a nightmare." " You're going this year?" asked Haneul, reaching for his own wine and lifting the glass. " Is your family flocking to Damyang again?" Eun-Ho nodded cheerfully, clearly excited. " Yep! We're going to stay at Uncle's farm until the end of the week. What about you? Is your family returning to Hokkaido?" " No, we've decided to take a small vacation to Kyoto. Mom wants to experiment with ancient recipes that they have in some of the family-owned restaurants. I figure I'll just go to the main city and check out the temples." Eun-Ho returned his attention to Bal with a proud grin. " Haneul's a Zainichi! Well, he was born a Zainichi. Then his family migrated back to Korea, where they live now." He clasped his hands, as if excited simply by the fact that he knew such a strange person. " That's why he's so popular with the fans. He's worldly." " Or boring," he replied coolly, raising a forkful of pasta to his mouth. " No one here cares about my heritage." " I do!" " Well, you're stupid." " And you've got no patriotism!" Haneul set down his fork with a clatter. " Eun-Ho, I'm Korean. Stop making a big deal out of my birthplace. You're pissing me off." " But it's-" " Ib dagchyeo!" he shouted, pushing his seat back and standing. " Please excuse me. I'll be back shortly." Haneul stormed out, leaving a dejected Eun-Ho behind. " Why's he always got to be so mean about it?" he murmured, staring at his lap and pursing his lips.

King Balthazar ________________________________________________
The butler hardly did anything in reaction, though he did clench his fist tightly when he heard that nickname once more. This man was trying his patience...! Balthazar gave Eun-Ho a curious look. What was this talk about family and Chuseok? Was it a friend of Eun-Ho's? A friend that apparently deserved more attention than he? The king silently ate his food, an aura of darkness surrounding him like it did back at the police station. It stopped when Haneul snapped at the other Korean and stormed off. Green eyes watched him leave before going to Eun-Ho. "Perhaps he has a bitter past involving his family?" he mused then looked over his shoulder to the silent butler. "Heinrich, could you see if he's fine?" Heinrich hesitated. Why him? He didn't want to talk to that man, he was sure he would barely listen! Nevertheless, the king wanted him to check, and so he shall. "Of course, Your Highness." he answered and, after bowing, strode in the direction Haneul had run off to.

Eun-Ho Joong Eun-Ho shook his head, looking down to his food as Heinrich left. " No, he's got a pretty good relationship with his family. His mom's a chef and his dad's a writer, and his sisters are in high school, and they all get on well. Ever since I've known him, though, he's always had a problem during Chuseok, even when we were in school. I remember when I went to his family's celebration last year. He spent the whole time staring at his food and shrugging off his sisters when they came near. I swear, it makes the entire holiday so uncomfortable. He even gave me the dumbest present!" Eun-Ho looked up at the king, eyes gloomy. " Just wish he'd tell me what was so wrong. Chuseok is the holiday of family and giving, not being angry." Inside the bedroom, Haneul sat on his armchair, legs crossed and right arm lying on the armrest. His left arm was set by its elbow on the other armrest, his hand on his mouth as he glared forward. Stupid blonde, talking about his ethnicity like that. He didn't like acknowledging it, ever, but that idiot always had to bring it up. " F-ck," he cursed under his breath, remarkably tempted to throw something at the wall.

King Balthazar ________________________________________________
A holiday... Chuseok was a holiday. Balthazar let out a long sigh of relief. Thank goodness. The last thing he needed was anymore competition. Still, he didn't like the thought of not having his precious Eun-Ho by his side, if even for a few days. Suddenly remembering the conversation, the king blinked back into reality and looked down at his lover. "There are all sorts of people out there." he said. "It could be that he just does not like celebrating holidays. Maybe it would be best to leave him to himself during this time?" he suggested.
"Are you done throwing your tantrum?" the butler's arrogant voice came. He entered the room, having followed the sound of the uttered curse. He stood at the center of the room, arms crossed and disapproving glare shot to the pop star on the chair. "I've no idea why you stormed off, but it's made His Majesty and your friend uncomfortable. Please go back to your seat and finish your dinner." he said, almost sounding like a scolding parent.

Eun-Ho Joong Eun-Ho shrugged, spearing a tartlet with his fork and biting the inside of his cheek. " I've known him for so long now, yet it feels like we barely know each other. Best friends shouldn't be like this." With a sigh, he set down the tartlet and stood, moving to Balthazar's seat. It took effort, but the star managed to pull the king's chair back enough to sit on his lap, not caring now that the butler was gone. " I'm feeling upset. You should comfort me." Eun-Ho smiled cheekily. " Get out," was the dancer's steely reply, not even bothering to look up at the butler. " I said I would return soon. Just tell them I'll be out in a little bit. Have your precious king start telling a story to delight and charm the pants off Eun-Ho, get the attention off Chuseok." The man stood, long legs moving quickly as he stood at the window, crossing his arms in frustration. " And stop scolding me. You sound like an old woman."

King Balthazar ________________________________________________
I wouldn't know, Balthazar said mentally. Now that he mentioned it, he didn't have many friends, having been a frog most of his life. There was that one fellow he had a strong connection with, but it's been a long time since they contacted each other. Bal blinked when he felt movement and looked to see his chair moved. When he looked forward, he saw Eun-Ho sitting atop him and giving him a suggestive smile. "Hmm? What would you have me do?" he asked, too dazed from his thoughts to understand the Korean's motives.
"I'm sorry but I cannot do that." Heinrich said stubbornly, showing no intent of moving, no matter how angry Haneul got. "His Majesty told me to make sure you are fine, and you are far from it. Now enough moping and tell me the reasons you are upset. If I recall, Chuseok is an important day in Asia, correct?" He had traveled the world to search for three generations' worth of kings, he had learned a few things about different cultures, especially holidays. There was always a strong chance his king would be celebrating somewhere around the world, after all.

Eun-Ho Joong The blonde tapped his chin in thought, thinking of ways to have the king make him feel better. " Well, you could kiss me," he started, counting on his fingers. " Or you could tell me a story, or tell a joke, or make a silly face. The little things work." He leaned closer, whispering now. " But I really, really like your kisses." " Chuseok is a half-week to a full-week celebration that's basically a Korean Thanksgiving," he explained quietly, turning back to the butler with the same chilled anger that he usually gave Eun-Ho. " I'm angry because every chance that idiot has to remind me that I'm not a natural-born Korean, he takes it. It's a perfectly valid reason. Now go. Your precious king must need you to wipe his a** or something," he sneered, shoving his hands into his back pockets.

King Balthazar ________________________________________________
A joke or a silly face? Balthazar didn't enjoy either option, but he would gladly do it if Eun-Ho wanted it to be done. He was thinking of stories he had been told himself when he was a child when he was suggested a third option. The king blinked up and stared at the smile that shortly followed a suggestive whisper. Balthazar gave Eun-Ho a blank look. His eyes went to the hallway, where there seemed to be no sign of movement, then back to Eun-Ho. "As long as it will cheer you up." he smiled and, resting one hand to the Korean's cheek, gently pulled him down for a loving kiss.
Heinrich seemed unfazed by the sinister glare directed at him, or by the mock order, though the fidget of one of his clenched fists revealed the anger he was restraining. "You're upset because you feel you don't have a right to celebrate this Thanksgiving of yours?" he snorted. "That's hardly a reason to be upset. Just because you weren't born in a certain country doesn't mean you aren't part of its culture. You know far more about Korea than any of us in this room, even your dear friend."

Eun-Ho Joong The blonde almost giggled as he was given what he wanted, thinking in the back of his mind that he was more than happy about everything that was happening, and that he could definitely get used to this sort of treatment. As lips met his own, the dancer immediately welcomed the contact, his lips parting in reception to the king. This time, they were getting right down to business. " I'm just as deserving as Eun-Ho is, and I know that I have the right," was his fast retort, irritation building. " But I would have you explain that little speech of yours to the children I went to school with, or met when visiting Japan. I was ridiculed for being Korean when in Japan, whenever I returned to Korea, I was ridiculed for being born Japanese and speaking with an accent. It took years to get rid of it, even longer to learn how to speak with absolutely no accent. By then, I had already finished school and was in BLAckJAck with Eun-Ho and the others." He moved to the side to lean on the wall, choosing to keep his hands in his pockets and let his bowler hat fall to the ground. " So excuse me for still being sensitive to the taunting I endured as a child, but I'm afraid that psychology rules that I'll always be a little tender about the subject of my nationality and birthplace."

Feeling the mouth against him already open, Balthazar smiled lightly to himself and parted his own lips. His tongue stretched out to join his beloved's, tasting their combined dinner along with their natural flavors. It was far better than anything Heinrich could cook.
"There's a difference between being tender on a subject and holding a grudge." the butler said as he made his way to the other male. "Despite your childhood, you're in much better company now. You have a very good job, and I am sure nearly every single person that ever ridiculed you is now a fan of... whatever it is you do. You have friends that care deeply about you and will not hesitate to defend you if this problem happens again." He bent down to pick the hat up off the ground. "You may have an occasional person bring you your nationality, yes, but for every one of those people there are others that focus on your skills and talents. It's time to stop living in the past, Haneul. Enjoy what you have now and don't let memories get in the way." he said. He pat his hand against the hat to get dust off, then, with the tiniest of smiles, set it on top of the star's head.

Eun-Ho Joong Inside, Eun-Ho heart fluttered, the butterflies in his stomach chasing each other around the small space. How was it so quickly possible for him to become this man's lapdog? Well, he definitely couldn't complain about the perks, and this king was hot as Hell itself, but this was all going so incredibly fast! His doubts were silenced by a tongue in his mouth that wasn't his own, and the Korean's heart began to beat rapidly at the taste that was becoming addictive. In the blink of an eye, two hands slammed against the wall on either side of the butler, the cool brunette, despite their shared height, looming over the other male. One corner of his mouth rose in a smirk, and those blue, blue eyes flashed. " My job, Heinrich, is very easy. You see, I keep all that anger of my past deep inside and create a cold exterior, my eyes containing nothing but ice as I glare down those who dare to come near me. That is the part I play in my little group." He moved down closer to the butler, his smirk as chilled as his tone. " It's quite simple, actually. Sang-Min is the leader, strong and confident. Bae is beauiful, but in deep pain, which makes him the bad boy. Ellery is cute and sweet, the 'baby' of the group. Eun-Ho is stupid, but earnest, and handsome enough to make up for his lack of brains. As for me," he stopped, licking his lips in hunger. " I'm the arrogant, cool type who likes to play with his food." The air hung heavy as his words remained, but just as soon as he'd been there, Haneul was gone, hands back in his pockets as he started out the door. " I hope dinner's not cold," mused the star as he strut out the door, not even giving a second glance to the butler.

Heinrich blinked as he found himself suddenly pinned against the wall. He pressed the palms of his hands against the wall and tried to maintain his glare at the man that towered over him, but it faltered. As Haneul began getting closer, the butler winced and pressed himself tightly at the wall, even turning his head away to make as much distance as possible. Wh-What did all this talk about positions in that band have to do with Chuseok? Did he just spend his time listening to some backstory for an actor?! And what on earth did Haneul mean by 'play with his food'? Soon the other male moved away to walk back to dinner, leaving the confused butler to his thoughts. He quickly got off the wall and splayed fingers over his heaving chest, glad to get some air back in his personal bubble. Bewildered blue eyes never left the spot Haneul was. "What on earth...?" he mumbled, staring at the empty doorway with a mystified expression.
"Ah... E-Eh..." Heinrich stood at the junction between the hallway and the dining room. The entire upper half of his face was drowned in a shameful shade of blue that was so deep that it hid even his eyes; random strands of his hair curled outwards in an obvious sign of stress; his mouth was an open, squiggled frown that uttered croaked out noises that voiced his pure shock; he stood relatively straight albeit the one hand that was lifted to point to the table, though his index finger was nothing more than a downward curve now that he was faced with true horror. "Erm... You two were taking a long time." Balthazar tried to defend while innocently scratching his cheek with his index finger, the other hand still resting against Eun-Ho's back. Suddenly, the butler reanimated once more. "You!" he cried out and pointed accusingly at Haneul. "You planned this, didn't you?! You lured me out to play therapist with you so His Majesty could be tempted by your friend!!"

Eun-Ho Joong Haneul paid no attention to the shamed couple and sat down in his seat without a word, eyes glancing to shocked butler with a not-so-hidden smirk. While he certainly hadn't expected to come back out to a make-out session, Heinrich was making this to be much more devious than it really was. That, and Eun-Ho was on the verge of tears at the notion of even being so mischievous. " Oh please," drawled the brunette as he lifted his fork and set one elbow on the table, resting his chin on his fist. " You despise me, Heinrich. Like I would expect you, of all people to come chasing after me. In truth, I fully anticipated you asking the king to carry on with his dinner and attempt to command Eun-Ho to come and fix me." The smirk in his eyes spread to his lips, and a taunting laugh could be heard in his tone. " Besides, they've just gotten together. You can't really expect them to keep their paws off of each other so early in their relationship. It's just the way things go. Unless, of course, you'd like to order your king to keep his mitts off his lady." At this insult, the king's new lover regained control over his limbs and frowned at his friend, clenching a fist. " And what makes you assume I'm the lady, huh? Got something to say, bub? Go on, say it!" The other dancer merely shrugged, lifting a piece of the dessert to his mouth. " Well, you're about half a foot shorter than him, and you're sitting in his lap." The food was placed in his mouth, and once he'd chewed and swallowed, the man looked to the butler and winked. " These pears are pretty good, Heiny. A little heavy on the peach, but overall, not bad. Six out of ten stars." He then returned his attentiont o the pasta, ignoring the angered blonde in the king's lap who was already desperate to smack the hell out of the arrogant a-s.
