Vremea had gotten so busy dressing up her gerbils she didn't get the chance to actually make them do something. She sighed deeply, then patted her babes softly. She rubbed their heads. "Okay now. Listen to me, please." She didn't know if they could understand what she was saying, but to help with it, she would tell them anyways. "I know we may have the short end of the stick, but that is no reason to let you two down. We can do this if we try. Yes, there is nothing to worry." She slid her hand through Donna Elisee's fur, then smiled softly. "And even if we cannot do this, which is the more probable answer, although I do believe in the two of you..." She paused, pulling them close— "I do not care. You two are my gerbabbies through and through." She made up that word. And usually she hated abbreviations or mixing words together. But this was a special exception. "Go out there and do what you two can!"

Primped and perfect! Troll: Nervit! Entry:  Nervit hadn't gone for race-ready for Chamomile's style. No, instead she had gone for the time-honored style of cute. A tiny flower, slyly snipped from a passing bouquet had been placed on the gerbils head, attached with a tiny bobby-pin (made from a larger one she'd clipped down to size) to chamomile's fluffy head-tuft, and a large (in comparison to the gerb, at least) pale pink bow had been tied round her neck. Embroidered on said ribbon was the imperial crest and "glory to the empress" in gold - a lovely touch, Nervit thought. Then, ever-so-carefully Nervit had attached tiny bows to each of the gerbil's feet, carefully above the ankle so they wouldn't restrict movement. The only thing that ruined the whole thing was the gerbils tendency to try and eat the flower. ..was that a leaf hanging from her mouth?

Primped and perfect!Troll: Atiqua Entry: Now, Atiqua was a scavenger and a pirate. She had an idea on how to just go with what she had but for her lil buddy? She didn't have much. So she went with what she did have on hand. She stuck a tiny captains hat on Elcapn and when presenting him made sure to play some good jams. Yes. Perfect.

Yes, the upgrade had only spelled bad luck for Nervit and Chamomile, but it was worth a try! Chamomile actually moved a round a little this time instead of staying stock still, so that was progress...kinda.

DAY 5 OF RACE PREPARATION!
The final volunteering results have been posted, and gerbils are refreshed and ready to train!
Today is the last day to participate in Athletics Training! Contests and the CYOA are now closed; the results have been posted in today's and previous tasks as usual. The purchase of corporate sponsorships is also closed!
Tonight is the GERBIL SHOW! It starts at 7 PM PST. The game mechanics have been posted under a spoiler on the events thread, for those who want a sneak peek!

Mili was dressing her little gerbils up very dapper. Mercedes has a little toga, just like the troll greek goddess. Apollo was getting a bow tie and a little cape that looked like a tuxedo. She supposed they both could have been troll gods but that was boring!
