He was stronger than this. Ouroboros was full of humans, and Kostya knew exactly what to do with those.

They prowled on up the path. It explained a lot. How they were killing experienced hunters. Technology to cut through shields. It meant him and Rep weren't afforded much leeway, but he had spent a lot of his life minus a fear shield, and it didn't make either of them less dangerous. Everything was on the line.

America knocked the gun clean out of the a*****e's hand, and Peyton could feel the corners of her lips tugging up in an unfriendly smile. it was unfortunately short lived. As the Sun darted in, the grey coat dropped to his knees, diving for his lost weapon, and Peyton's swing went over his head. She cursed, soundly, but a look at America had features twisting in concern. "Stay with me," she urged, following her line of vision and catching sight of the Russian as he took on his own foe. Just hearing Mimsy's voice, not far behind him, urged Robert forward. For a big guy, he was doing a good job of running out of the line of incoming sentries - but he hadn't realized why. His mind had gone into auto-drive, as if he was back on the field. Those sentries were the other team, and he had the ball.
The sound of teammates falling or engaging in battle was easier to tolerate, when his mind tricked him into believing it was all part of the game.

Her next strike didn't miss. She came back around with the one of her blades, and she sank it through the man's back until the side of her hand smacked into his ribcage. He shuddered, coughed, and dropped to his knees at their feet, and there wasn't any time for Peyton to really think about the fact that she had just killed someone because they had to keep moving. So she flicked her hand, sending blood in a wide arch at the ground to get the majority of it off Warrick's blade, and she nodded ahead to America for them to keep moving. HP: 47 DMG: Enough, he dead. CHG: 2/3 Roll: 1/3

They were on the last stretch of road.
The knowledge of what waited for them was somebody else's division. Harrison refused to go over regrets or what-ifs or bucket lists. He didn't even think on them- not even the wedding. He wouldn't.
He hadn't known about Charlotte.

Deryk continued to make his way through with Tooley summoned. If someone came at him with a gun, he might have some trouble given how short of a range she was. He hoped he wouldn't have to fight anyone, though.

They were forging through and he was eager to move ahead because the sooner they got this over with, the faster they could get everyone out of here, and to safety. With Quinn and Ian moving behind him, he pressed on.
