The nearest senshi with a Dark Mirror aura had turned out to be a pink-haired senshi clad in black, fushia and green (Amytis). Falias' eyes narrowed, unlike Al-Janah who had been a Super to his rather green Page, the senshi was the same rank as himself and by virtue of being in his line of sight had just made herself his target for the evening.

Some on WP's side may have chosen to announce their presence by calling out to those they were engaging, but Falias didn't bother opting instead to dash in the shorter senshi's direction his aim to try for the element of surprise.

Nor did he bother to pull out his weapon from where it sat tucked in his the right-hand pocket of his top - after all a sprig of mistletoe was not exactly intimidating. Instead when he got close enough he balled a fist and tried to swing out at the senshi.

He wasn't usually into hitting women and generally tended not to be the type to attack first, but Falias was willing to make tonight the exception - given that the pink-haired senshi was part of a faction full of Knight-attackers, killers and worse.

Tsui? What was she doing here? Dodging an incoming kick and trying to shield herself from the weapons and magic flying every which way, Kallichore shot forward to intercept the tiger senshi. "What are you doing here? It's dangerous, it's an all-out bloodbath!"

A shriek rose to her ears and the eternal whirled around, keeping herself between Tsui and the ensuing Chaos. Kallichore had not attacked anyone - instead she was simply defending the White Moon and begrudgingly, the Negaverse against the Dark Mirror onslaught. It was much too confusing to see exactly what was going on. Europa and Leto were locked in combat - something Kallichore knew was going to happen sooner or later. But Leto was royal. Did this mean they'd lose Europa?

"...this is insane..." she muttered.

Leto was sure that Europa was still talking after she had called her attack- but in that moment... Well, nothing that she was saying meant a damn thing. Her dark red eyes widened and her entire expression turned to one of horror. She took a step back from whatever it was she was convinced she was seeing. Suddenly the entire room was dark, and she definitely just saw something out of the corner of her eye, right? She spun in a half-turn to face the enormous creature that she was sure was going to kill her, and when Europa kicked her Leto screamed- loud and high pitched, as if the deep sea monster was the one to do it.

Taking another few steps backwards, her eyes clamped shut. Leto shook her head violently to try and shake away the hallucination to no avail. She had been lucky in her years as a Senshi that she had never encountered any magic that really got into your head- but on the other hand, she had zero experience in trying to get rid of it.

Negaverse agents and Knights were easy- they weilded weapons that were avoidable if you knew what you were doing. Senshi on the other hand, had magic that Leto clearly could not fight.

Leto swallowed hard and yelled at WP as he continued to speak through Europa's hallucination. "We got want we wanted- or do you forget Dioptase?" She let out a yelp as she spun again to avoid the giant creature she saw in her peripherals. "Tanzanite and the rest got what they deserved!" She shrieked as the monster came upon her. Her entire body was trembling and she was doing everything she possibly could from allowing herself to go into a full-blown panic attack.

The chaos in the warehouse meant that Athene ended up losing track of first Tsui and then Ida fairly quickly. Not that it mattered, the PSSG as a team had already agreed that they would do their best to do their best to intervene against what looked like an attempt to wholesale slaughter the Dark Mirror Court gatecrashed senshi and knight meeting style.

Although Athene agreed with Ida that they shouldn't, couldn't attack their own side in order to meet that goal, he was perfectly willing to try using his senshi magic if it came to it given that the most his magic would do (should it both decide to co-operate and actually connect) would be to keep the target trapped for a little bit.

It still didn't explain why after being chaos pals together that the Negaverse were suddenly attacking their supposed allies. A dark mirror aura, a corrupt senshi aura and a sound that sounded suspiciously like a giggle drew his attention towards a white-haired corrupt senshi (Azurite) who appeared to be heading towards the source of the dark mirror aura and Athene moved quickly to intercept, shifting to firmly place himself in the taller corrupt senshi's path. "I wouldn't if I were you," he warned quietly.

And although attacking his own side in this mess was out, had to stay out, the corrupt senshi was Negaverse and (if it came down to it) therefore fair game.

Bischofite smiled darkly at the blonde senshi's mention of those interested in his death, but offered no further comment. Sonant unnecessary; rather than press the issue with more half-measures and empty speeches, he simply reached toward Ganymede with his uninjured hand and forced her off the narrow rafters. "Stop floundering in inactivity, Ganymede. What good is bitterness wis'out motivation?" While he intended to follow her shortly, a recognizably pressing call drifted from below - beyond the cacophony.

Words old, well-known, spoken from a senshi with an American accent. The only senshi to address him in his native tongue. Freezing in place, a slight smile curled his lips - nostalgia maybe, a taste of pleasure. Small gifts among the massive boon of utter chaos below. And why should he leave his prime viewing angle for his executioner, who demanded so obstinately to control Bischofite's fate? "Sraen," he called in turn, hands cupped around lips to better direct sound. "Gott hat es dir verraten!" For one possessed of the hubris required to manipulate fate, he himself nearly succumbed to one beneath him in rank.

How quaint.

The feathered general stepped from the rafters briskly, cape and coat a blur of feathers in motion as he shot toward the ground only to light without incident. Now immersed in the tumultuous flood of activity, he spent a moment searching for the owner of the beleaguered call. Surely enough, Thraen narrowly maintained his balance while under siege. The blood offered testament to his injuries - already it soaked through pale blonde hair, and likely matted into place. But lacking his own weapons for the moment (along with the use of his other arm), had Thraen truly expected him to mete out kill shots with any manner of efficiency? Sawdust littered the floor, but lighting it proved a far slower spread than accelerants like gasoline.

No immediate makeshift weapons lay at his disposal either. He could kick the page, but to what effect? Fists and boots felt far too clumsy in comparison to the chakrams he normally wielded. Otherwise, usurping the assailant's weapon would work, provided he had the opening to do so. However, said assailant intended to kill him, by the looks of her continued blows to the skull.

Well. Thraen wanted starseeds out of chests, didn't he? To call for help from Bischofite of all people entailed an embrace of the risks involved. Not even his subordinates flagged him down for his assistance, knowing what might come of it.

Perhaps it was time for the blonde to find out.

In a deft leap, Bischofite crested over a roiling mass of limbs closing in on his location, thus narrowing the distance between his adopted charge and himself. With the page at work, she offered no vigilance toward those approaching her from behind. Bischofite doubted she even sensed him, given the ubiquitous mixture of auric energy choking each of them. Sliding between the two in one fluid motion, his practiced hand passed through chest to steal away the warm, pulsing starseed therein. It felt hot, searing in his palm - fresh.

It was Thraen's.

"Leaf', Knight," he commanded in an acerbic tone. Admonishing gold eyes settled on the figure looming over the Garden Senshi's inert form. "Or do you enjoy defacing ze dead?" Afterward he brandished the still vibrant starseed between his index and thumb.

"A minute!" Europa called to Wolframite over Leto's shrieks. Maybe it was a dirty conscience that made her attack so effective against the dark mirror senshi - or was that reading too much into her cries about Dioptase and Tanzanite and the rest? Whatever it was, it was working. "It's safe for you to approach!" For a certain value of safe, of course. "It's not contagious!"

Europa didn't know what Leto saw. No one had ever fully articulated to her what it was her attack did - she'd mostly only used it against youma and one unfortunate captain, and they were in no condition to speak. What she did know was that the next however long she had before the magic ran out would be her and Wolframite's best opportunity to get Leto on the ropes.

"Attack!" she hollered to the general, and fell in, aiming a punch for the side of Leto's head. Strike the temple, she thought. That's the best place to hit. Get her down. Get her starseed. Get her throat. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else in this entire battle mattered if Leto did not fall. She threw her other fist, again for the same target.

She could taste bloodlust in her mouth. Or maybe that was just the molar Leto's earlier punch had jarred.

Tantalus gave Ida a weak smile in return. "He shouldn't be too hard to find. Tall, with long blonde hair, dressed in blue and green and gold," he described, "and probably putting himself in danger for someone else." If he knew Damocles, he knew that much was true.

"Back into the fray, I suppose," he said, and then, carefully gauging his landing so he didn't end up on top of anyone, he dropped out of the rafters and back to the ground.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The warehouse was chaos, certainly but so far no one had come for Amytis. She was mostly trying to spot Chariklo or Tantalus or Damocles or Remarque or Leto, and try to decide to help them, but instead she was surprised by a punch, connecting with her back, to which she spun to meet.

"Hey, what the hell?" She snapped. This wasn't even a Nega, it was a Knight - and her one other encounter with a Knight had gone so well. Goddamnit, what was it about the Court that made everyone hate them?

She swung a fist in return, aiming for the Page's face. "I've never done anything to you, what is your problem?"

The General's answer came to his ears, language making it distinct where the din of the conflict drowned out much else. God doesn't usually come through.

His attention went full on the page and order senshi he was faced with. They sided with the Mirror, claimed brotherhood. The nickname was juvenile, but what else could be expected of the young partaking in the general expectations of bravado in battle?

Then Bischofite appeared, pushing past them. He hadn't expected the General to actually make an appearance on any behalf. Why is he pushing past-

Pain.

Nothing.

His body fell to the dust, strings of will neat-cut, throwing the cat on his shoulders likewise to the ground.

"I should be the one asking you that. You alright? Injured anywhere?" Catching hold of the blonde's arms without permission, she checked him over for wounds. Despite the gnawing ruins of skin left behind by braided rope, he appeared relatively intact. "This place is a bit of a hellhole, isn't it? Care to explain what's going on here? It looks to me like everyone's fighting everyone else for no goddamned reason at all..."

And in knowing she stood as an enemy to his court, the blonde still inquired about her well-being. Thus, she suspected he had some idea to this blatant cacophony.
"Maybe while you fill me in, we can fight our way out of this bloody mess, eh? My magic would do a spot of good here, but I don't even know who to target..." Or if she should even start pissing off anyone around her when she had the good fortune to be overlooked for the moment.

Really, Astarte stood far removed from her element. Haunted, foreboding atmospheres? No problem. Giant battle royales without the damnedest clue of who to fight? Not so much.

"Oh bullocks, let's just get you out of here before someone decides to take the both of us hostage." Still holding onto the boy's forearms, Astarte began dragging him in the direction of the double doors she used not long ago. However, the seething mass of battles erupting around her prevented a straight shot to the door. And who knew if they'd meet with opposition on the way out?

The general appeared to Acubens in stunning clarity. It shot through Acubens like a lightning bolt, searing her limbs numb. She'd trained her body, without meaning to do so, to be perfectly still, like monsters could only see her if she moved. Like when she was a little girl and she pulled the cover up over her head and pretended to be a pile of blankets. From her first meeting with him to the last she'd been struck dumb and rigid by his presence, something about the way he carried himself or the way he talked to her. What he showed her. Like now with his hand in someone else's chest.

Someone else's chest...

Something inside Acubens snarled, dripping acid that ate at her stomach lining making her sick. It should have been her. Bischofite should be targeting her -- she was the one he wanted. She was the one he hunted. That should be her starseed in his hands and her body lying limp on the ground. It was like seeing a parent kissing another sibling before her, like seeing a lover in bed with someone else.

She stopped again. A lover...

"Baby," Acubens muttered to her new Page. "I know I told you to fight but what I want you to do now is run. You run so far. You leave if you can, honey, and I will find you when this is over. This just rose way above your pay grade." She smoothed down her friend's hair with a warm smile.

"I will find you," she finished before turning back to Bischofite.

"And here I thought I was special. Turns out you touch all the pretty senshi that way, huh, Bish-oh-fyte." She pronounced each syllable of his name like it was a new word rolling around on her tongue.

"Your entire Court is the problem" Falias retorted, shifting in an attempt to avoid the senshi's return punch. He was partially successful in that it was not a full on face shot, but it still managed to smash into painfully into his cheek.

He winced but the pain wasn't enough to stop him swinging back at her, eyes narrowed as he added "Given that your Court that thinks it's okay to target Knights and kill them for the sole reason of them being Knights. Not that I'm the only one here with a grudge against your Court."

Falias had never forgotten or forgiven the humiliation from his one and only encounter with Al-Janah nor the fear as the red-haired senshi had casually tried to strangle him and it had sunk in with cold clarity that the super senshi fully intended to kill him and he had heard enough from the meeting that WP had organised where they had planned how to set up the ambush to put together that Al-Janah wasn't the only member of the Court who went about trying to kill Knights - it had after all been mentioned more than once that their Princess was a known Knight killer and that members of the Court had stooped to worse.

When Turquoise recited his 'orders' to her, he wore the biggest smile, as though a father listening to a child say his 'daddy' for the very first time. Of course, it wasn't necessarily orders, but a strong suggestion, and it wasn't because he didn't want her to have fun or clip those wings of hers. There'd be a day he'd love to see her take to the skies and soar, reign death and destruction to their enemies and he's say he was the one that guided her like this. But today wasn't that day. Today, he just wanted to keep her safe, even if it looked like he was borderline coddling her. "Good, good. And I see you're doing a wonderful job of that, too! I am a very proud man..."

He almost forgot about his hat! How silly of him! With all the fighting and fuss, he hardly noticed he felt naked on the top of his head, and yet, it was just like her to reign him back in. He watched with glee as Cora retrieved his beloved hat, and the moment it was within his hands, he practically cradled it like a child. "Ohhhh, daddy missed you. I feel so naked without you..."

He wished to thank the cat in person, but she was already bounding off into the fray, and so it was up to Turquoise to take all of his praise. Or would have, had his gaze not caught a rather troubling sight, and he let out a groan. The fight between Lellouch and Natron wasn't going quite as he was hoping and he definitely didn't like where that fist was going. "Hm, one second, my dear- don't engage, and do NOT do what I'm about to do!"

Which was something rather foolish and stupid, but he was certain that some would consider it heroic. It wasn't just Lellouch's life he was looking to save, but Natron's as well- sure, attacking, hurting and maiming your fellow officers was one thing, but taking their starseeds? That wouldn't fly, and besides, if someone saw him do nothing, he'd figure he'd be a whole heap of trouble.

"HAT AT YOU!" Buddingtonite shouted, using the only item he had in his hand and hurling it at the general. Yes, he knew it was a bad pun. Yes, he was smiling for managing to make it sound rather dashing, despite its corniness. Yes, he knew he was assaulting a man, whose weapon was a kusarigama, with his hat that he just welcomed back into his hand. But did Buddingtonite have any regrets?

Not a single one. Yet.

She noticed the power signature entirely too late. She stared at the sudden General, wide eyed and very confused as to where he was coming from. The senshi went down and the general was speaking with an accent.

And then a very shiny diamond was pointing at her between his fingers.

What... what... what had he done to the poor man?! Just because he was beating on someone didn't mean they had to... had to... do what exactly? "The f--- you do to him?! And what is---" She snapped at the General, blood hot in her veins in anger, not terror. This man was going to get it now; she may not have liked the now dead? senshi, but didn't think that was the answer.

Andronicus was cut off by Acubens whispering to her. She cocked an ear to her, eyes trained on the General. For a moment she couldn't quite grasp what she was telling her. Run? But her family was still in dan-. Something in the way the senshi looked at her sent a rush of "I'll tell you later, go now" through her and Andronicus nodded.

"I'll be waiting." The Page gave them one last look and slipped into the crowd. Running involved space. She needed space first.

Strange gave way to stranger still when the incredulous page capitulated to the wad of nerves and emotion known to him as Acubens. A crooked smile marred his features, eyes alight with quiet mirth in sighting an old friend. Of course she's here. "Haf' you met wis' an answer?" He asked aloud, words meant for the Raptor Senshi alone. And who else would hear them now? The crowd of bodies reenacting their own sordid battles? The inert body at his feet. The page who, back turned, left them both?

Am I your religion?

"Everyone is special, Acubens," came measured words as he busied himself with returning starseed to chest - a simple drop above the sternum and the seed melted into its owner without harm. So he lived. If nothing else, this revelation met with tepid excitement. "Everyone can suffer. Everyone can mete out suffering. But..." Drawing a breath, the feathered general cast a sidelong glance toward the blonde at his feet. "Some ha'f more propensity toward it zan ozzers. Acubens, you are but a toy in comparison. A petulant child. A hollow, atrophied husk in comparison to his drif'e. But... Even zose immolated by zeir own passions grow still under ze weight of fate.

"No matter how deeply I affect you, he affects me, we are but tawdry dolls dancing to a toneless cacophony." He gestured toward the throng of infighting surrounding them.

"You don't know how to proof' conviction like he can, because you haf' none of your own. You haf' nossing but ze borrowed notion of family, of friends, of helpless, nameless entities zat somehow rely on you for protection. You're clinging to half-measures for support, because you don't haf' legs to stand on and you can't look down to confirm it. You need me, Acubens, because you're a parasite. Because you need somesing to propel you forward. I am your only inertia, because I can make you suffer. And what haf' you done in return?

"You'f failed." Turning on his heel, he stepped over Thraen's form. Burning in the back of his mind was the hope that he might feel her fists against his back, the culmination of a rancorous rage festering within her form - proof of suffering, etched and cemented into his bones.

Validation.

"Don't call me twice, Sraen - you won't wake up ze second time."

The deep gouges that mirrored one another hurt less than what Bischofite hurled at her so carelessly. He didn't even know her, but then he proved time and time again that he knew her so intimately and she couldn't figure out how. There was only one other person who saw through her so completely, but he had a far softer hand with her. But then that was the problem wasn't it? The softness she'd always been treated with. What good did that ever do? Sure it smoothed down her nerves for a while but then what? What happened after that? Someone else would come along and treat her roughly, the way everyone else was treated. She'd get her feathers pushed the wrong way, get riled up and then burn out. Bischofite was right. He was absolutely right.

"No." It was decisive. It rang like she didn't know her voice could. It forced her shoulders back and her chest out. It left her feeling fuller than it had when it was still inside her. "Do not walk away from me."

And instead of waiting for him to come to her, Acubens took the first step. That one was the hardest but the rest flowed like water. She moved over the garden senshi like he might not have been there at all. She stood half of a head shorter than Bischofite right in front of him, closer than she'd ever been before. Electricity buzzed from each nerve certain to create palpable static. And if that didn't tip Bischofite off, she was sure she wreaked of fear. But who wouldn't? She didn't even bother to hide it.

"Infuriatingly enigmatic. Pretentious. Pious to a fault, in this case to your own misplaced enlightenment. You seem to fit the definition of religion pretty perfectly. But are you my religion, I have no idea. The fact of the matter is I haven't learned one damn thing from you except that you have some deep seeded aversion to straight answers." She looked him up and down, fear abating just a little for the time being.

"You seem so obsessed with the question. How about you figure it out. Are you my religion?"
