She had really just been minding her business, playing the game slow and steady - it was all fun and whatnot for her by now. That is, until the little fandangled little machine in her pocket went off, showing her that she had successfully cleared level 25 at least, which meant a new job.
As she was transported to the island, she took a look around, noticing the little temple off to the distance, followed by a rather vast pool of water. Incidentally, it reminded her of the two dumb quests that she took with Mengyao, Lan, Shaheen and Lady Cymbeline recnetly, and that made her shudder just a smidge.
But, it beckoned, and she would follow it.
Going to dip her feet on to the water, the first few steps were rather comfortable, the water was not too cold and it didn't seem to soak through as quickly as usual. It was only then that everything went foggy, and she almost fell backwards, slowly sinking in to her mind.
It was a familiar feeling, a strange comfortable strength that came in with having power over other people. Opening her eyes, she was back in her kingdom - the Queen ruling over those, along side the Emperor. They had deemed him fake from the beginning, and thus, it was up to the Queen to rule those who were lucid.
They would tear these walls down.
It was a quick memory, and snapping back, she blinked feeling a warmth radiating in her hands. With a quick pat pat of the jewel, she felt the sudden changes of a job up.

After all the quests he'd gone through lately, needless to say, Blindseer was more than a little apprehensive of going to the place his pocket card notified him of. But UT had reached level 25 and upgraded her job class, so... No, he shouldn't be worried. Still, though, he was cautious as he approached the temple stairs and climbed them.
All he had to do was walk through the pool and touch the orb? That didn't sound difficult. And he didn't see any cookies, flowers, cakes or candies to go after him, either. Absently, one finger rubbed against the band on his left hand. She did this and hadn't said anything bad about it, so it'd be fine. Ready to get this over with, he waded into the water and started making his way across.
His pace grew slower as visions of power started to wash over him. It was something he'd never wanted, ever. Power was responsibility, fame. It spread envy and keeping it was a hell of a lot harder than getting it. But this didn't feel quite like that. This was strength, steel to his backbone. The ability to really look anyone and everyone in the face and say, "******** you." The strength, skill, and resources to keep and protect what was precious to him. This thrill lengthened his strides until he was across the pool and touching the orb.

Bronze strode through the clear water, waiting for something to appear and do something weird. It was very beautiful here, lovely and as he approached the orb, he was dazzled by the lovely gleam. The fresh water smelled so amazing, if he were home, he would have ducked under and swam in the refreshing coolness. Here, he was sure if he did, something totally unexpected and a bit crazy would happen and he was getting tired of expecting the unexpected... As he waded, he felt something he'd felt before, but this was so much more real... He was the swiftest and strongest of his herd. His magic excelled him beyond any hopes he'd ever had of being great and famous. People everywhere would know his name, and he could go anywhere he wished without worrying about knowing anyone- they would all want to know him... He would never be alone- afraid of what would happen if he was alone for too long. It was a heady rush and he thrilled in the feeling, almost dizzy with glory. He caught himself, splashing in the water loudly. When his vision cleared and the images faded, he was standing in front of the orb. Reaching out, he touched the smooth surface.

This temple was in surprisingly good condition for being lost, JK observed, taking a step into the pool. Since the orb had pride of place at the top of the fountain, he assumed he was to go to it. It seemed a simple enough task.
However, as he waded through the waters, his thoughts became increasingly distracted. Instead of the temple, he began to see the Auditorium at Amityville, seats filled to bursting with students. They were all wearing graduation outfits, and as he walked forward JK realized he was also wearing one, and he was headed for the stage.
That's right, he was here to accept his diploma. It had been a long journey, but he was finally ready to graduate and gain access to the human world! Instinctively, he straightened his back, and did his utmost to look dignified as he ascended the steps.
At the podium, Headmaster Hellma was saying something,
"And now, Valedictorian Johan Klarstein will deliver a short speech."
Johan stepped up to the podium and-
He was back in the temple, standing right in front of the orb. Huh. JK reached out and touched the glowing sphere. With a whoosh, his uniform changed. His pocket card pinged that he was now a Cheshire Cat Wraith.

Grey was just walking around again looking for some new interesting looking places when she found the temple on her pocket card. She was really sure it wasn't there before so she decided to go there and see what was going on.
She was now somewhere else on an island it seemed and on it a temple. She found it to look interesting indeed. She also saw all the water and jumped into it wading to the temple.
She went all the way to the temple and found the orb. Without thinking she touched the orb and felt something strange. She changed now, she was more powerful now and smarter too. This made her feel wonderful and she was smiling wide when she was wading to the exit.
She was going to leave a little better than she was before. Knowledge was important to Grey so feeling smarter or wiser as she was before made her feel she just won a huge prize. And maybe that was what it was as it really was a prize to her. Becoming stronger wasn't as important to her but she did like that too. Maybe she was better at healing now too? More knowledge counted the most still.
She could see herself being really really wise with alot of creeple respecting her for it. She saw creeple around her that admired her in her mind. She would so love that. She was sure it would be true one day.
As she finally got out of the water and to the exit she left feeling proud of herself.
