Basket Case Insanity Huhu. Also, goddammit gaia for being dumb.  Artie Hopper
"G-Good.." Artie replied, his face becoming a little paler when her eyes opened, she had then quickly jumped off of him and dusted herself off without looking at him. If she were to look again, she would see he had ran from the spot where he was and was now currently hiding behind a nearby tree. "W-Why d-d-did you follow m-me..?" He asked, his mind racing, his voice shaky and was fully wary of her as he peeked around the tree to look at her. There really shouldn't have been any reason for her to follow him, though that was what he thought, in reality she easily had a few but his fear was partially clouding his judgement. "S-So, w-what i-i-is it..?" He asked her with his oddly cute stuttering voice.

 (( It was awful. ))"I didn't follow you. You ran off, how was I to know you went this way ?" Korosu replied quickly, her voice like a knife. "It was an accident, that's all." She noticed the boy moved and inched a bit closer. "But I am curious on that creature. The one that came from your shadow." Korosu tried to change the topic. "I'd wish to know more about it. If you're willing to tell me more." The girl moved a little closer, trying not to make him panic. Her voice was more calm, but still had a hint of a harsh attitude.

"I-I s-see.." Artie replied as he continued to peek out from around the tree and watched as she seemed to come closer and closer. He blinked a bit though about her request, "..Creature..? A-Ah.. you m-mean Tau.." He replied, understanding what she meant. "Umm.. w-well he's part o-of m-my ability.. B-But, I don't m-mind t-talking about it.." He stated, wondering why she was so curious. He also had seen her come a bit closer, her voice was clearly more calm. "U-Um.. what d-do you want t-to know..?" He asked her as he watched her, remaining still behind that tree as he peeked around it, still fairly unsure on why she wanted to know about his ability or why she was coming slowly closer like some kind of predator creeping up on their prey, at least from his point of view.

(( I thought I was hacked in all honesty. I woke up to it since I check my phone in the morning before I get out of bed and I couldn't get back to sleep. I was too paranoid. ))She was finally the opposite side of the tree, this time she was peaking over at the cowering boy. He's like a scared little bunny. She giggled deviously and a little smirk appeared upon her lips. "Look at you, you're shaking. Are you alright ?" She asked a bit concerned. "Oh, yes, regarding your, ability you said ? What is it and how does it work ? What do you use it for ?" Korosu bombarded him with questions. Korosu's covered hand moved and accidently touched Artie, she didn't realize it. Her curiosity was getting the better of her. "Tell me everything about it." The curiosity was painted clear on her face.

Artie tensed up visibly as he heard her giggle and saw her smirk as he peeked at her. "I-I-I'm o-o-okay.." He replied, his stuttering quickly getting worse as he shook a little. He became silent as she started to bombard him with questions about his ability like what is it and how it works and what does he use it for, in general she wanted to know everything about it. The curiosity was obvious by the look of her face, but his focus had gone to her hand that had moved and touched him, sending a shiver down his spine. Within moments, he had ran to another nearby tree and hid behind it, peeking out at her. "W-Well.. M-m-my ability is c-called Legion of Hungry Wolves... T-Though it is called t-that.. m-my wolves w-were the ones who h-had n-named it. I-It l-lets me summon u-up to 20 wolves l-like Tau and they c-can d-do stuff like n-normal wolves can do.. F-For example s-scent tracking, g-group combat, p-play p-poker, a-and so o-on.. They c-can a-appear as long a-as t-there is a s-shadow s-somewhere.. n-no matter how s-small.." He explained with his stuttering voice as he watched her, though there were some weird things added into that explanation of what they were able to do. He still had no idea what her intentions were, especially after hearing that giggle and seeing that smirk along with her touching him

(( Ah, scared bunnies. Basket's favorite. >:3 ))She moved to the tree he was hiding behind. "Why are you running away ? Do I frighten you ?" She asked, her voice completely calm now. Why am I so interested in the boy ? I want to go home but I can't just leave. What is overpowering me to stay ? She pondered as she moved closer. "That's an amazing power. Though I can say I've never seen wolves play poker." She giggled as she was at the same tree as Artie yet again. "I wish I had something as cool as that." She complimented the boy. She hoped he didn't find her sudden interest off-putting. Yes she was a closed book, but this interested her to no end. She's never seen something like it. His power was completely new to her.

Artie tensed up at her question about why he was running away and if she frightened him. "N-nooooo... J-Just r-really uncomfortable.." He lied poorly as he looked away a bit as she came to the tree he was hiding behind. He was surprised at her compliment about his power and stated how it cool it was, "A-Ah t-thanks.. I consider t-them my f-family.. A-And it is k-kinda w-weird see t-them play poker.." He replied with a light happy smile on his face as he thought about his wolves. It was the kind of smile that looked really good on him, though his scared face wasn't that bad either. The talk about his wolves was really nice distraction for him despite the current situation of why she kept coming towards him. His smile was gone as quick gone as it had shown up as he peeked at her again, "A-Anyway, a-anything else y-you would like t-to know..?" He asked her curiously as he watched her.

(( We'll see. We'll see. ))She giggled at the thought of wolves playing poker. That had to be such a sight. "I'd pay to see that." Korosu registered what he said and immediately backed up far from Artie. "My apologies. I had no idea." She rubbed the back of her head and looked away. She had to think if she had anymore questions. "I think all questions I could think of have been answered. Thank you." She bowed at the boy before turning away to leave. You've stayed here long enough. It's time to retreat home and cool off from this weather. Korosu didn't expect Artie to continue the conversation, therefore she began her trip home, walking the way she had followed Artie in the first place.

Artie seemed to relax a bit when she immediately backed away from him and apologized to him, "I-It's.. It's alright... it's n-not your fault.." He replied with a wry smile as he looked at her. He waited as she started to think about questions but was met with a reply that she had run out of questions and had turned to leave. It was at that moment Artie eyes widened a bit as he heard something in his head. "U-Umm.. Tau s-said it would b-be fine if t-they played poker now and t-that you are welcome t-to join them.." He said to her as she started to walk away from him. He had slowly come out from behind the tree, Tau already at his side.

Korosu stopped in her tracks and turned around. "Could I just watch instead ? Would that be alright ?" She asked Tau more than Artie. She walked a little closer, but not too close to make him uncomfortable. "I've always preferred watching when others interact in activities." She explained and added a little smile. I guess I could stick around. This boy is interesting to me. I need to understand why... She thought to herself and lightly flopped down, sitting nearby. Korosu put the silver ball in her lap and loosened her scarf a bit.

Tau tilted his head a bit as she made the question towards him and as he thought on it for a moment before silently looking at Artie. "U-Umm.. H-He says it's fine.." Artie said, translating Tau's silence like it was the simplest thing. Moments after, 3 other shadowy wolves who looked perfectly identical to Tau came out of Artie's shadow as he pulled out the deck of cards and gave it to Tau. "T-This is Sigma, Delta, and Rho.." He introduced the three new wolves from left to right. The four wolves then moved a bit towards Korosu so that she could see cards a bit better, the wolves were followed the wolves and sat by Tau and Delta, directly opposite side from Korosu, it seemed he was joining the game as well. The deck was shuffled and the game had started and the 5 started to play. The surprising thing to note was, despite the wolves having paws, they could easily pick up cards and move them around with them without any trouble. They played though the first game rather quick with Delta being the first winner, the second game Artie had won, and the third game Tau had won. Smiling lightly, he looked over at Korosu after the three games, "S-So.. h-how was it?" He asked as he looked at her.

Korosu was intrigued by the game they played. How do they grip the cards without thumbs ? Mighty interesting... She thought and rubbed her chin as the games continued. Wow. These wolves are better than I thought, and he wasn't lying. They could play poker, and it was a bit weird to watch. She snap out of her trance once she heard his question. She nodded and responded with, "It was... Strange, but a nice strange. Interesting is the right word to use."

Basket Case Insanity Oh my god, I just had a great idea. Muahahahahahaha She wouldn't leave a guy unconscious would she? Especially one who gained her interest~? Artie Hopper
Artie smiled lightly again as he looked at his wolves. He had finally calmed down to a more normal level an wasn't that scared any more, at least for the moment. "That's g-good.. They've d-definitely have b-been practising playing it.." He replied with a light nod. He blinked a bit as for some reason his vision went a bit blurry for a moment and his wolves also seemed to become blurry as well. "H-Huh..?" He questioned as his vision blurred once again which caused him to realize what was happening. "Ah! I-I forgo-" He was cut off by falling unconscious and falling onto his side on the ground, his wolves instantly disappearing as he fell unconscious.

(( Though she'd want to, she wouldn't. ))Korosu stared, confused on why the kid fell unconscious. She crawled over to him and lightly shook him, attempting to wake him up. "Kid ?" She kept shaking him. She sighed and looked around. Korosu couldn't just leave him here. She stood up and sighed. Unsure of what to do, she decided taking him to her house was the best idea she could come up with. "Damnit kid..." She sighed and picked him up, slinging him over her shoulder. He was kinda heavy. "Xo, hold." Her scarf came to life and wrapped itself around the boy, holding him within its grasp. The thing slithered like a snake as it followed Korosu back to her house. Once she arrived back to her home, she laid him on her bed and sat downstairs until the boy awoke.

 It was a rather nice day out, least the large furry looking man though. He yawned lazily as his tail swayed behind him. Arms folded behind his head as he looked around with his odd shades over his red and pink eyes. He'd just come to town and was a bit nervous about being out in the open. Most of his life he'd spent it on the run from hunters and slavers. He looked around and noticed the large trees and found them fun. Walking over to one, he climbed up it with his massive paw-like feet and laid on the lowest branch. He purred softly as he laid there, relaxed and at ease as he laid there on his back. His long ears shifted through his messy forest green hair, never letting his guard down as a habit from his many years. He wiggled his large toes, starting to nod off from the warm sun hitting him between the leaves. He couldn't remember the last time it was so peaceful, least for him anyway. Soon his odd snore-purring could be heard coming from him as he slept up in the tree.
