Phaenna whinced. What were they dancing? It was like she had never heard of it before. Mother was really reaching here. Phaenna started to feel awkward, like she was given two left feet all of a sudden. This wasn't good. She frowned. Keep it together Phaenna. You can get through this. Just keep trying your best. If only she believed her own words.

Minuette blinked as the next dance was called and she shrugged to her partner. She watched the other couples and did her best to mimic them...Only to fail horribly. Oh boy. This just wasn't her day.

Pothos + Apple Bloom = 1 Dylo + Parvana = 6 Hymnaios + Naomi = 2 Iordanes + Minuette = 10 Aglaia + Kratos = 6 Euphrosyne + Lucius = 7 Phaenna + Hiroki = 5
*********************
Voluptas had come to the conclusion that some of the people she were watching were just terrible at dancing, no matter what it was. Other times, they were just mediocre at dancing. This particular Dancing with the Erotes seemed to be a combination of the two.
When Pothos and Apple Bloom attempted the Argentine Tango, her brow quirked slightly, a small, "Hm," sound making it out of her mouth. Watching Pothos attempt a sexy dance--well, she was almost embarrassed for him. She honestly didn't want to watch it anymore. Just so she could look away, she gave them a horrific score of 1 and moved on to watch something else.
Hedylogos and Parvana performed the dance fairly well. It made sense, considering how charming Hedylogos was--he could make a dance which was meant to be seductive and alluring seem very appealing. Somehow, though, it did not feel as good as it should have been. Perhaps it was because he was no Himeros? A 6 would suit here.
It looked like Naomi understood the Tango. A mortal, so good at the tango? It was exhilarating! Well... that was until she saw her partner dance with her. That was awful. There was ... no repairing that. She would give the mortal credit, but an awful Erote performance could not make up for an amazing mortal performance. 2 was all they got.
Iordanes and Minuette seemed to be in perfect sync with each other, which was absolutely necessary for the Argentine Tango to work. Their steps were captivating, their moves were in sync, and she believed she finally saw a couple in this contest who could pull this dance off. It was a pleasant reprieve to be able to offer a 10 instead of more abysmal scores.
Kratos and Aglaia seemed to be good at delivering consistency. It was not necessarily always consistently great, but it was consistently good. It seemed that Venus had taught Aglaia well in this past year--Voluptas had to think that it was certainly nice to see her aunt blossoming again. Perhaps Kratos was just a good dancer, too. This wasn't as good as some previous dances, though, so she gave a 6.
Euphrosyne and Lucius appeared to be in a fair amount of sync as well. Their steps were not as good as prior steps she had seen, but it was enough to catch Voluptas' easily wandering attention. She scooped her hands under her chin and watched with attentive eyes, careful to note when their moves did not quite match up. This dance wasn't as boring as some others had been, at least--some of the dances this round were actually worth continuing to judge this competition. A 7 was well-deserved here.
Finally, there was Phaenna and Hiroki, a couple that seemed to be in surprising sync and surprising ability throughout the whole competition. Apparently the Argentine Tango wasn't their strong point, because their performance this round was mediocre at best. 5 was all she could manage.

The final tally for Day 5 is as follows:
Euphrosyne + Lucius = 38 Dylo + Parvana = 34 Phaenna + Hiroki = 30 Iordanes + Minuette = 29 Pothos + Apple Bloom = 29 Aglaia + Kratos = 28 Hymnaios + Naomi = 27
Day 5 Winner is Euphrosyne and Lucius! Good job my beautiful daughter, but it still was not a very good dance.
And the pair with the lowest score is Hymnaios and Naomi. I'm sorry dears, of the terrible Argentine Tangos, yours was sadly the worst. But don't feel bad, no one really danced well today. I am disappoint. Time to leave the dance floor. Don't forget to come to my engagement party! Presents are encouraged!
============
The dance for Day 6 is the Salsa! Hey, cherub! Bring me some chips.

She blushed a bit, but grinned at him at some of the more daring moves 'required' by the Tango. Okay, so some of that she did because she wanted to see his reactions. What? He was adorable! She squeaked cutely when he picked her up for a lift and twirl, then giggled. "That was fun!" she said and smiled at him.
Almost too soon, their turn was over and the judges gave their scores. Whoo~ Not too bad! They were still in the contest, anyway! She grinned a bit when Venus announced the next dance. She'd never done the salsa before, but she knew what it was like. Sort of like the cha cha, but more swishy skirts! Which her dress was perfect for! Whoohoo~ She grinned and got into the salsa, swinging her hips and having way too much fun swishing her skirts. Wait, did she just flash Pothos? Oops. Ignore it, maybe he didn't notice. Riiiiiiight.

Still...in this thing... but Applebloom seemed to be really enjoying herself. And so far she had yet to burst into flames. This was good.... no this was excellent. Maybe all the craziness had finally been put behind him? Boy he could only hope...
"The...Salsa...." he said and sighed. Not as close as the tango but more swishing and hips and twirling... ohboy. Taking a deep breath, he started twisting his hips and legs and whatever else was required for the saaaaaaaaaaaa-a-a-a........
Yep. Yep.... that was a doozy of a view....
Look away, look awwwaaaaaaay!
