"Ah, what do they know, anyway." Crow said to Liam, a bit of fondness in her voice. She stood and laughed a little. "I swear, one of these days when we get together it's going to be normal."
Julian snorted.
"Yeah right."
"All a bunch of idiots. Sadako hates all of you."
"DAKO!"
"Oh, all know it. Not going to sugar-coat."
Len gave the dolll a poisonous look before turning back to Malachi.
"You got it. I could use some normal time. Melodrama makes me feel icky," she said in an undertone, grinning. "See you later, then."

The loud clattering of trays and chatting could be heard all over the hospital cafeteria. Joe made his way down the buffet line, looking over the various concoctions laying before him. He ended up grabbing some toast, rice, cauliflower, a glass of milk and his favorite, Deep-fried Sole. He made his way over to the table most commonly occupied by his fellow pediatricians and took a seat.

After a little friendly banter, Joe was just about to consume his deep-fried Sole. However, the intercom blipped on with a loud buzz and announced...
"Dr. Tooke? Dr. Tooke. Calling Dr. Tooke. Dr. Tooke. Dr. Tooke, You have a call now."
"Argh... blast. Better hurry up then," He said before grabbing the Sole with his hand and gorging it down his throat while running off to the front desk.
-Meanwhile, at the front desk-
"Yes sir, I've just paged the doctor, he should be arriving shortly," chirped the young secretary.

Joe came screeching, almost going into a drift, around the corner. He dashed through the crowded hallway, weaving back and forth between patients and doctors before vaulting over the water cooler to get to the front desk. He finally arrived, panting and short of breath.
"I'm here," He weezed out.
"Ah, here you go Dr. Tooke," she said, handing him the phone.
"Dr. Tooke, how can I help you?"

"Oh. Well, then. Alright."
Damn.
"Nothing. Nothing's up. Just looking for some social interaction that isn't uner the age of five or passed out 20 hours a day. Have any time for a..err...'house call'?"

"Sure, I don't see why not. I'll get Dr. Kiris to cover my shift, he owes me. I'll be there soon, ok?" He said while jotting down a message on scrap paper for Dr. Kiris.

"Alright, I'll see you in a few," He handed the phone back to the secretary, as well as the note. "See Dr. Kiris gets this as soon as possible."
"Yes, Doctor," She replied.
With that, Joe went off to his locker, changed into his casual wear, grabbed the portal and input the settings before laying it on the floor and walking through.
