~Skye Walker~ Skye shook her head. "Not really. I was awake thinking about the arrangement my father made. Apparently, he was going to engage me to another knight a year ago, but something bad happened to the knight and he couldn't do so," she explained, hoping he could tell that she was talking about him. "I hope you rest well tonight."

 William • Yates William looked shocked. "W-wait! You were the lady they were trying to marry me off to? I remember that before I was sent to battle a man with a long beard told me he had a pretty daughter, that he described just like you look, who he wanted me to marry." William had basically just confirmed that what Skye's father had told her was true. Had William not died, they would be married already now.

~Skye Walker~ "Well, my father never told me about it until I got back home right now," Skye said. She felt pretty happy that she would have married him if he had not died, but was still sad that her father never told her anything. "My father hardly tells me anything at all even if it has to deal with me."

~Skye Walker~ Skye tried to muster up enough strength to tell him. "I-I-I.....I-I-I-I don't want to marry Nick," she confessed, hiding her face with her hair. She felt ashamed for being selfish and wanting to go against her father's wishes. She wasn't attached to Nick as much as she was with William.

William • Yates It was terrible that Skye was going to be forced into a marriage she did not wish, but that was just the way things worked in their time. Even William was going to be forced into a marriage when he was alive. Plus, more than likely, William, if he had ever had kids, would have forced his children into marriages as well. That was just the medieval way of marriage in some, most, cases. He looked down first and then slowly turned around to look at Skye...He was in for a surprise.

William • Yates Upon turning around both of them at the same time, William and Skye's lips touched in a brushing manner, however, some sort of impulse inside William pushed him to kiss Skye. Part of him was expecting Skye to push him away and maybe even run away from him since they were only friends, but another part of him wanted her to kiss him back. What was all this...?

~Skye Walker~ Just as Skye had turned to him, her lips had touched his, him kissing her. She had no idea why this made her heart skip a beat. Something inside made her kiss him back even though she didn't want to. half of her was confused, yet, another half wanted him to kiss her some more.

William • Yates And so the kissing persisted for a while longer until sense came back to William and he had a conscious mind to pull away. "I-I I'm sorry. I do not know what came to me. You are an engaged woman I am sorry malady." he bowed to her. He felt ashamed of himself.

~Skye Walker~ Skye wanted their kiss to last longer than it did, but was immediately saddened when they separated. She shook her head when he pardoned himself of his action. "I-i-it is my fault. I had no right to kiss back," she said, even though her body wanted him to continue kissing her. She hid her face in her hair and was glad for the darkness, for it covered the fact that she was blushing massively. She felt horrible for kissing someone she wasn't engaged to yet enjoying it, making her feel worse since she felt disgrace if her father or anyone found out about what they had done.

William • Yates William placed one hand under Skye's chin to lift her face up so that the moonlight could lit it and with his other hand he moved away her hair from her face and placed it behind her ear. For some reason he was getting a rush feeling of confidence. Something was yelling at him and it said, "Kiss her again! She likes you!" and so in an impulse he kissed her again on purpose. If she kisses me back this time then... we share feelings... he thought.

~Skye Walker~ Skye gasped a bit as he lifted her head up to look at him. She closed her eyes when he kissed her again and something in her kept saying "Kiss him back, you fool! You love him and you know it!" She gave in to the thought and kissed him back, placing her hand on his chest as if by instinct, as if trying to feel the masculine body she had seen before underneath all the armor.
