"Well, dunno 'bout the inside, but the outside seems intact," Ed interjected helpfully.
Kyo then proceeded to return to cute-little-nine-tailed-fox-kit form, though the cuteness effect was somewhat ruined by the fact that he was still gnawing on the human foot he'd taken as spoils of war.

Kyo yipped in confirmation before resuming gnawing on the foot, tails wagging even as Kurama came over and began sniffing at Kyo's gruesome new chew-toy curiously.
Ed shrugged as well. "Right then, better get going. I gen'rally show up a couple days before drinking night, let Kyo in on things he ought to know - in this case, that one of those anti-demon angels managed to escape from where they were sealed away." He then proceeded to hop off in the general direction of Diana's bookstore, oblivious to Sam rapidly paling at that little bit of news.

Sam sighed. "Depends on which angel escaped; some of them are more rational than others," he answered, though he was obviously worried.
Kyo blinked and shifted back to humanoid form, allowing Kurama to have the foot for the moment as he smiled brightly to the rabbit. "Hiya Ed! Is it Gruesday already?"
Ed rolled his eyes in exasperated amusement even as he began shifting and changing; soon a white-haired, red-eyed young man with rabbit ears and a matching tail was standing in front of them, dressed in a white muscle shirt and blood-red baggy pants. "Nay, mate, just got some info that's a wee bit concerning; I reckon you ought to know." He then turned a little more serious. "Luxiel's escaped from the seal."
Kyo paused and tilted his head. "Luxiel... angel, about yea high, has ten wings and a hatred of anything even remotely demon-related? Same guy who captured me a while back, restrained me, and force-fed me toxic waste until I became what I look like today? That Luxiel?" The eerie calm in his voice and expression was rather unnerving.
"That's the one," Ed confirmed, eying his friend warily.

(Well, if you want to get technical, Ed's only one-quarter demon - just enough to get some abilities, but he doesn't have a mating mark of his own and can't travel between the demon realm and the human realm. xd )

"Well, hopefully, it ISN'T one of the overly irrational ones - at least then your safety is guaranteed, if nothing else," Samuke answered. "At the moment, though, we don't even know this angel's name, so we can't do anything."

Almost immediately Ed's eyes glazed over as he felt the girl's hand on his ear - his leg even began thumping the ground like a normal rabbit's. "Oh, crikey, that hits the spot," he mumbled, obviously a little out of it.
Kyo, meanwhile, calmly pulled out a cell phone and spoke into it. "Boys, drinking night is canceled. Luxiel's escaped - initiate Code Black protocol."
Cue the blue box from earlier appearing in the middle of the store, the brown pony from earlier exiting with a strange being in tow, the being saying with unholy glee, "Ooh, Code Black! I LOVE Code Black, so chaotic!"
The pony rolled his eyes. "You and your chaos, Discord."
Similarly, a familiar skeleton in a black cloak appeared, saying, "IDO HOPE THIS CAN BE RESOLVED QUICKLY - I HAVE A JOB TO DO, YOU KNOW."
Meanwhile, a strange demonic being rose up out of a pitch-black portal, joining everyone else and waving to the others.
And finally, Count Porcula entered the store, immediately trying to get into the fridge like the vampire pig he was and completing the disturbing group of misfits.

Samuke paused, turning to stare in the general direction of Diana's bookstore. "...Strange... I'm getting a sinking feeling, as if all hell is about to break loose and my remaining sanity is in danger of being brutally slaughtered..." he mumbled.

(So, just to summarize, Kyo just called his drinking buddies over, which are: a vampire pig, the Easter Bunny, the incarnation of chaos from a series that happens to be one of my few guilty pleasures, Doctor Whooves, Death as portrayed in the Discworld series, and Cthulhu. twisted If you have any objections to my lack of sanity and my determination to completely obliterate the fourth wall, speak now or forever hold your tongue... or have your cat hold onto it, I don't really care which. 3nodding )

Kyo, however, was muttering to himself, a gleam in his eyes indicating that he was currently both oblivious to his surroundings and acting even crazier than usual.
Ed, however, answered for the insane kitsune. "That's right, you wouldn't know, would you sheila? Basically, Kyo and Luxiel have a bit of a history - their hatred of each other is known throughout both Heaven and Hell. Don't get me wrong, normally Kyo's actually a bit of a softy, not countin' the complete and utter insanity, but when it comes to Luxiel... well, he tends to be even more irrational than usual, not that I can really blame him. Long story short, Luxiel captured him when he was younger and force-fed him toxic waste 'til his mind and body broke down, turning the poor bloke into... well, what he is today." Ed motioned to the mutated fox demon, whose three eyes were darting around wildly as his mismatched tails swayed around. "Once the war between Hell and the anti-demon faction of angels broke out, Kyo returned the favor by tearin' off one of Luxiel's wings and maimin' him beyond repair. However, before Kyo could do anything else, the higher-ups in Hell took Luxiel to seal him away with the rest of the rogue angels... but Kyo wasn't quite satisfied with that. Instead, he started preparing in case Luxiel ever escaped the seal. Code Black Protocol is basic'ly him declaring war on Luxiel," Ed finished, glancing over at Kyo with a worried look.
"KILL LUXIEL! KILL! KIIIIILLLLL!" Kyo shouted out, obviously more than a little deranged at the moment as the others tried to get him to calm down enough to think at least somewhat rationally.
"Sounds like a good idea," Samuke agreed, trying to ignore the steadily growing sense of impending insanity as he began leading Kimera home.

"Nay, only until we get him calmed down. Might backslide a bit if Luxiel shows his face, though," Ed assured her.
Fortunately, Cthulhu eventually managed to calm Kyo down by smacking him upside the head with a guitar.
Kyo blinked as sanity returned to him (what little he had left, anyway) before snapping his fingers, his disturbing little messenger-creature - the same one that Kyo used to contact Sam and Kimera the first time around - coming out of a dark portal and landing on his shoulder. Kyo then wrote a quick note before giving it to the creature, which promptly ate it before vanishing.
Kurama, meanwhile, sniffed Ed's leg curiously... and then promptly began gnawing on the part-demon's ankle, automatically assuming that since he smelled like a rabbit he was food. Fortunately, the little guy was still rather small, and the teeth didn't break the skin.

Sam shrugged helplessly, only for the messenger-creature to promptly appear in the living room, chittering up at them before pooping out the message Kyo had given it and scurrying off, Kenji staring after it in puzzlement.

Sam gingerly took the letter and gave it a quick read. "...Well, Kyo has apparently declared war on an anti-demon cult led by his angelic arch-nemesis Luxiel, and this is a warning to either join the fight or stay out of his way, lest we get slaughtered," he answered after a moment. "That would certainly explain why it feels like my remaining sanity's in imminent danger of vanishing... what little sanity he has left tends to go out the window when Luxiel is involved."

Unfortunately, they made a very, VERY big mistake: anyone with even the slightest knowledge of demons and half a brain knew not to harm a demon's mate, doubly so with Kitsune triply so when said Kitsune was a nine-tails, and quadruply so when said nine-tailed Kitsune was as insane and potentially ruthless as Kyo. And outright taunting him about it, not only angering him further but leaving him a scent with which to track them down... well, it would've been much, much easier and quicker to just gulp down a gallon of bleach - far less painful, too. As such, when Kyo came over to Diana's house in response to the voices in his head telling him to check on her NOW, the first thing he did upon seeing the note was to have his little mutant messenger-thing grab the note to deliver it to Samuke's and Kimera's house as a warning about the cult's plans. The second thing he did was shift into the form of a fair-sized, grotesquely mutated nine-tailed fox, seemingly vanishing into thin air as he took off after the man who had his mate, planning very painful and disturbing deaths for the poor saps who had taken Diana.
