[ Outside Caves ]

Al startled awake, puzzle pieces glued to his cheek with drool. A few fell off with gravity, leaving strange red marks in their place. He looked around in a quiet daze. Alarms were wailing and people were running. He was still mostly asleep as he stumbled into the crowd and followed. It felt like forever and he woke up more and more the further he went until he found himself at a cave entrance where people seemed to be gathering. "Uhh... what's going on?"

[North]

Waking up to alarms wasn't usually very good. It usually signaled that something was wrong, and that something had to be taken care of. Pausing to thing, Marcus realized-

Oh be sure to flex. Flexing after you wake up, show off all those fine muscles- Mmm so nice. I'm sure someone will appreciate them.

He stretched out of habit, but with Dis chiming in, Marcus locked down. Unmoving. Or rather, unwilling to give Dis a sort of satisfaction.

Looking up and around, followed by noticing that indeed, this wasn't some mistake, A heavy sigh escaped him. Something doubtless was going to happen.

Edith told them to hold position, which was comforting but...not. At the very least there was a familiar face.

"'Hey Wash." He gave a small wave.
All the good boys taken... The vampire began his grumbling.
"So when do you expect the horsemen to show up and s**t all over everything?"

Marcus, ever the optimist.

[Outside Caves]

Jordan gave Rep a level look, keeping his expression calm, though he wanted to laugh at the startled look on Rep's face. They hadn't been able to summon weapons in that other world; it occurred to him that Rep wouldn't know how to summon Tracey yet, and the thought of the Blue Queen carrying the huge battleaxe wiped all the amusement right out of his mood. He'd better stay close to Rep, just in case. He had no idea how helpful Tracey was going to be, or what form that helpfulness would take.

Ferros stirred in his thoughts, shades of concern and distress leaking into his presence. Jordan shared a moment of irritation/reassurance/worry/affection with his weapon. He hadn't known to miss Ferros while he was still remembering himself, but he had missed his weapon, aware on some fundamental level that he wasn't complete without something.

"We need to find out if the defenses are down, and if so, where we need to be patrolling. Suns and Moons should be out checking directly, Life and Death finding out where we need to be and in what kind of numbers," he said, thinking aloud. s**t. He hated having to ask Sasha for anything, but he needed to treat this as a mission until he knew if the island itself was safe. "Sasha," he said. "Would you return to the labs and start checking on the status of the defenses and how much power the installation as a whole has lost? If they're gone, things are going to start failing, and I don't doubt Life's working on rerouting power to the absolute necessities. I need to know where the perimeter is, if there's a safe perimeter. We'll be most vulnerable from the coast, so I'm heading in that direction to see what the situation is. Jerry, Rep, I want you two to help me. Harrison, stay with Rep, he's offense and you're defense." He didn't know how much or what Harrison had forgotten, but a brief summary couldn't hurt.

[Outside Caves]

Rep was used to giving orders. When he got orders from Jordan it was usually in line with his own plans and typically sanctioned by The Boss implicitly. There was no Boss here. Only a Jordan much younger than he recognised and a Boss who was for want of a kinder term, completely batshit insane.

the deadpan voice stated, and he really wanted to wring her scrawny neck.

"Can't I go with her?" he asked, pointing at Sasha. "She's totally ******** game for it. I'd check her labs out all right."

"Yes. Can't he come with me?" Sasha's smile was growing broader by the second. "I think you should come with me," she directed at Rep, lips pursed just slightly, "to check out the labs."

[outside Caves]

Jerry's brows raised as he looked from Harrison to Rep and back again. Alright, Rep he could almost comprehend what might have happened, but Harrison was a different story altogether. Just what was he remembering?

He did recall that Sasha and Rep were not a good mix, though, and was quick to add, "I could give a hand if you need backup- otherwise Jordan's right, we should check the perimeters... if you ah... wanted to talk to Harrison, I could... aid his highness," By aid, he meant babysit.

At least Jordan sounded like himself. It was relieving to have at least someone people would listen to who was together enough to herd these cats.

[Outside Caves]

Too many things going on at once, and too many versions of reality to keep track of. "Illusion," Jordan told Harrison shortly. "It's not prudent to wander around this area with a mark showing." Close enough, and he wasn't going to try to argue with the delusions now. He had no idea how to reverse this, and the thought that he was going to have to keep this up for an indefinite amount of time made him feel preemptively exhausted.

"I appreciate the offer," he said to Jerry. "I think we should get moving now." He yanked Ferros's spike out of the ground and swung the hammer to rest over his shoulder, then stalked over to Rep, reaching up to take hold of his chin and stare into his eyes coldly. "No," he said.

"Ow, hey, cut it out-" Harrison scowled, leaning back from Rep and still looking at his hand in dismay.

He looked infinitely relieved at the illusions.

He rubbed his ear.

"Oh."

Illusions, he could work with.

"And of course he's jacking around here somewhere. Can't you hear him? Uh. He says you can't. And sup. But his speakers are fine, keep your volume set. And also that...I'm not repeating that."
