Nuke shoots up to his feet, shouting down at the ref who immediately made a point of asking him how he's not injured. Grabbing his neck from the earlier Jacknife Powerbomb, Fusion pushed the ref away and turned towards Jarel.
He leaned down, attempting to press his knee in to the side of his neck and cut off the blood supply to his head.

what exactly is Nuke's problem with the Dragon's breathing? Jarel finds his air cut off again as Nuke's knee presses down on his neck and he scrambles to find a way out. With no other option, he swings his good leg up and attempts to kick the Nuclear God in the side of the head.

Nuke is pressing hard in to Jarel's neck as the ref comes in to try and stop him, being an illegal chokehold. But it wasn't that which stopped Fusion, as a hard boot hit him in the side of the head, knocking him to the side.

Jarel sits up as a reflex, letting out one last cough while reaching forward to grab the ropes. A combination of severe oxygen deficiency over the past couple of minutes and a leg nowhere near 100 percent makes it quite difficult for the Dragon to stand on his own, so he pulls himself up with the ropes and then falls against the turnbuckle. And he'd failed to notice is earlier but he's cut open on the side of his head from the shot with the brass knucks earlier

The crowd were loving this all, a match that should clearly have been the main event of the PPV.
Nuke shook his head and grimaced as his neck was still playing up from earlier. Rolling up towards his feet again, he looked over at Jarel on the opposite turnbuckle.
Running at him, he attempted his own splash!

Jarel is not quite able to dodge the incoming attack, and is splashed against the turnbuckle. He remains standing by hanging onto the top rope, but he can't depend on that too much longer

Nuke punched the air and shouted out at the crowd, as the arena started a loud jeer. Bouncing on the bottom rope, Fusion was getting pumped up and readying himself for something big.
Moving to Jarel, he attempted to pull him away from the turnbuckle and turn him around.. before attempting to hit the Deific Effect!

Jarel is pulled away from the turnbuckle as Nuke is about to attempt his finishing manuever. However, the Dragon will not be put away yet. Showing some fight left in him, he throws some elbows at Nuke's abdomen, trying to get the smaller man to release him. Should this happen, he'd attempt to drop him with a falling clothesline

Nuke is readying himself for his big finish maneuver.. right before Jarel instinctively throws elbows hard in to his abdomen. Following up, the Nuclear God finds himself planted down on the mat by a clothesline.
He makes his way back up to his feet, dazed a little.

Jarel also pushes himself back to his feet, his bum leg bothering him but not willing to cease his attack. once nuke is to his feet, Jarel would attempt to grab him by the throat once again and plant him with a chokeslam

Still dazed, Nuke is holding the back of his neck as he unknowingly turns to face Jarel. A hard grip on his neck, that's where he feels his feet rushed off the ground.. as Jarel hits a vicious chokeslam!
Nuke was planted on the mat but rolled away, under the bottom rope, as the crowd's initial burst of cheers turned in to a chorus of jeers and whistles at Nuke's instinctive move to get away.

well damn it. Jarel just hates when he chokeslams a guy so hard they bounce out of the ring. maybe he should hold back a bit.
anyway, the Dragon takes only a second to lean on the ropes before exiting the ring. He has dark things in mind for Nuke, dark things indeed as he begins clearing off the announcer's table. With that done, he goes after Nuke, attempting to pull him up and toss him onto the table

Nuke is picked up by Jarel and thrown on top of the announcer's table. There was clearly dark intentions from Jarel towards Nuke, but he was in no way able in that moment to work that out.

Jarel now looks under the ring apron, and to the cheers of the crowd pulls out a 16 foot high ladder. the referee pleads with Jarel as he sets up the ladder in front of the table and Jarel quickly rolls into the ring, then back out again to break up the count. Walking back to the table, he quickly attempts to plant his fist in Nuke's face repeatedly, trying to make sure he stays on the table for what he has in mind

Nuke just didn't know what was going on, as he felt a grip on his head again. Forcefully, he felt his skull repeatedly slammed against the wood, as he slumped across the table, coughing every couple of moments.
