I looked up at the man who approached the gravid elf on whose hand I sat. He had long black hair and piercing yellow eyes, though his features seemed to soften when looking at me.

I mewed, before accepting the piece of Jerky. I was very hungry-- couldn't tell you the last time I ate, infact. Probably one of the reasons why I was currently stuck as a kitten.

I took the piece of Jerky and bent over it protectively as I started to chew through the tough flesh. After some work I tore off a smaller piece and nearly swallowed it whole.

A few more moments of chewing and I had eaten the entire thing. I felt a little better... but I needed more food. That tiny bit of Jerky wasn't going to cut it... He did mention milk, right? I looked up at him with my big leaf-rgreen eyes.

Mew!

Tearing off another piece of jerky Grex softly offered it to the cat. Tempting to scratch behind one of it's ears he softly lowered his hand towards it's face. One had to gain an animal's trust before petting it after all. Plus he wondered if the kitten would burn him?

"What is it little one?" he asked kindly. He did mention milk perhaps that's what got it so excited. "Hold on a second..."

Walking off, he began to search through some of the supplies until he found some milk and a bowl. Hopefully him holding a bottle of milk wouldn't set the cow woman off oddly. Just where did she run off to anyway? Pouring the contents into the bowl Grex softly holds it out towards the fire kitten.

"Eat..gather your strength. You'll probably need it little one. You're safe, we won't hurt you." he stated with a gentle smile. Most of the time he appeared cold, but there were only a few times Grex showed the man behind his cold mask. Growing up he loved cats, so it was only natural for him to show this one kindness. Even if he did find a kitten made of fire odd somewhat.

Stella cocked an eyebrow at the clueless minotaur. Realizing she was serious, Stella facepalmed herself.

"He's slightly traumatized from being flung across the street by your chest." Stella answered.

Grex smiled happily. Now petting the kitten gently he could feel heat yet it was still furry like a cat. The poor little thing must be starving, seeing as it completely slurped up the milk. Thinking for a moment the warrior scratches behind one of the kittens ears. Maybe there was some meat in the supplies? Jerky wasn't cutting it.

"My you are hungry little one." he commented softly. Taking the empty bowl he began to search through the bags until he found some chunks of ham. Dumping them into the bowl he returned to the kitten carrying two bowls. One of them filled with milk and the other with the ham chunks.

"Sorry there isn't much. Perhaps later I can cook you something proper." Grex stated offering the bowls to the kitten, holding them and allowing it to eat if it was still hungry.

Grex chuckled softly. "You're welcome little one." he stated scratching behind one of the fire kitten's ears. It looked healthier, which was a good thing. After a while of petting he stopped and softly patted it's head. "Well I've got some things to do little one. You rest and save your strength."

With that he collected the bowls and began to search through the bags to make sure everyone had enough supplies. If they were going to be traveling, everyone would be needing enough rations for the journey ahead.
