Akiko eyed Wayra when she offered a trade. On one hand it would mean giving up the one she rightfully took but on the other it meant information. That and both Elafi and Azrael told her to give it back so no one got into trouble. The kitsune sat there in thought for a few moments. She had to smile at the wyvern and fu dog's antics though when they showed up.
She looked from Irisa to the human female offering the trade then shrugged and got up. It looked like they were leaving so she would have to do this fast. She moved over to the woman and held up the camera in offering with a grin. {You said you would trade? Information?} The red head chirruped questioningly and tilted her head.

Fu-ren wagged and smiled, leaning up into the hand that placed itself upon his head. But as the male pulled his hand away and began to move from him, the fu dog's expression became saddened that the two-legger was leaving. OH BAD DAY! The canid gave a whimper and watched the two-leggers move away and get into a big rock.
Irisa kept quiet as she saw more and more humans coming, but then they were also leaving just as quickly. She turns her head to watch Akiko hand over the little box thing of reflections before she finally stood and moves back towards Elafi.
Sitting down, she peeks a look up at the centarus as she pouts {Think they will leave now? I do hope so, I don't want anymore attention. There is just too many of them now} she looks back around as she curls her tail around her legs.
As she saw the one who called her unicorn looks toward her. She gives the human a smile before lifting her hand to wave at him.
{Bye, hopefully you will never call another Kirin a unicorn.}
With a chuckle that sounded much like a couple of coos, she glance towards Akiko as she move closer tot he human offering a trade. Her ears folded back a little. She was a tad worried about Akiko.

Wayra watched the other creatures with a content smile on her face, occasionally reaching up to scratch the wyvern's chin, when a man came barreling out of the woods. He walked over to Steve and asked about food. Just as the question was asked, a woman from what Wayra assumed was Steve's group called for them to leave. Steve got up, gave the wyvern and fu dog one last pet, then crawled into their SUV and waved a farewell from the window.
"Take care, enjoy your meal!", she called, waving her hand towards him before his SUV pulled away. "Guess it's just you and me now, little guy", she commented softly to the wyvern.
She didn't have long to ponder her solitude before the sound of something rushing up to her caught her attention. To her surprise, the kitsune was standing there, offering the camera. "Oh wow, thank you so much!", she gasped happily, taking the offered camera. Putting it into her bag to give back to Steve later, she pulled out her own and showed it to the kitsune.
"Ok, here's how it works. You hold it like this and press this red button here to turn it on and off", she said, holding the camera with one hand on each side and pressing the small red power button with her finger, causing the camera's screen to flash on. "Then you point it at something you want to take a picture of and press this button up here", she continued, pointing the camera towards the kirin that the kitsune had been sitting with, then pressing the small button on the top right side of the camera. "And there's your picture", she finished, showing the kitsune the picture of her friend.
"You can also take pictures of yourself by holding this lens towards you and pressing this same button", Wayra added, pointing to the extended lens on the front and aiming it at herself and the kitsune before pressing the top button. Wayra turned it around and showed the kitsune the picture that she just took. It was a little blurry, but the images were still clear enough to make out. "And finally, the blue button and arrow buttons let you see all the pictures you took", she finished, pressing the small blue button in between two arrow buttons, bringing up the self photo. Making sure the kitsune was watching, she pressed an arrow button to cycle through the two images she'd taken. "When you want to take more pictures, just press this blue button again."
Finished with her explanation, she handed the camera off to the kitsune like she'd promised. "Just make sure not to use it around water or get it wet, or else it might stop working. Make sure to share that information with your friend, she looks curious too", Wayra said, having noticed for some time that the kirin had been showing interest in what they were doing.
Wayra vaguely knew how silly she probably looked explaining to a bipedal fox how to work a camera while a small wyvern sat atop her head, but she could care less. The kitsune had responded to her feelings and she was grateful for it, so a little silliness could be handled.

{Of course I'll share.} Akiko promised with a chirrup when Irisa spoke up. Her attention was very quickly taken by the woman as she explained how to use the reflection box. The kitsune watched in fascination as it was explained how to work it and once she had in in her hands she tried it out by capturing the wyvern's reflection and checking on it. When she had it committed to memory she grinned and licked Wayra's cheek in thanks before scurrying over to Irisa.
{It works!} She cheered and started to show her friend what she just learned. {Look it IS at treasure!}

Hearing how the Wayra human had seen it Azrael considered taking cover in a tree but since no one else seemed to be able to see it it stayed were it was.
But, Oh, the FACE of the man when told about the dragon hiding in the shadows... priceless. Too bad it was leaving.
He could understand Algie's and Wayra's feelings. They didn't even have to say anything. It was clear from the way they were acting that they weren't at ease. He had felt the same way, before hearing Kiera's explanation. "Oh, I see." She worked here with these creatures, so she was the expert. He didn't have any reason to doubt her.
"Thanks for the answer, Keira." He swapped out the camera for the pad and pen to take note that this was called a fu dog. "That makes perfect sense. No one wants to go to a haunted restaurant. Right? I mean, I know I wouldn't. I'd be all there enjoying myself, having dinner with my co-workers, and then, bam!" He punched his palm with his fist. "Ghosts."

Then, he switched those for the camera again. He was definitely going to take another picture of the fu dog performing. "Who's the good boy? You are. Yes, you are." Maybe he could even sneak in the ever aloof Neala in the background too. It'd be a twofer. When the picture was taken, it turned out the fu dog was photogenic. Neala not so much. She looked worse than the classic Nessie photo.
In any case, this was much more fun than taking photos of toxic waste. I mean, he knew it needed to be done, but come on, toxic waste? That's all sorts of wrong. And the defendants always deny its existence, even with the photos. Like saying no enough times will make it disappear.
After he saw how Wayra handled the kitsune, his jaw dropped. "Damn, you're good at this."

Nyanin had been sulking. Friend was leaving! So sad. He missed Friend with the wrinkly fruit. HeadPetFriend was still here, but she didn't seem to have any fruits, and that was sad. She gave lots of chinscratches, which was good, but Nyanin missed Friend.
He snapped to attention at the foxy creature who HeadPetFriend was showing a clickbox to. It seemed interesting. Maybe... seemed fun? Foxy pointed the clickbox at him, and seemed happy. Must be fun!
He whirred, chewed affectionately on HeadPetFriend's headnest, and launched off HeadPetFriend's head to investigate Foxy and the Clickbox. He soared into the bushes where Foxy had gone. {FoxyFriend? What is clickbox? Does make fruits? Is fun?} He touched down, scrabbling to get his wings properly under him. He froze again - another creature! Big! Maybe scary? But bigger than Nyanin, so maybe notFriend!

After tinkering with the camera for a few seconds, the kitsune turned to lick Wayra on the face before dashing off towards the kirin, yipping happily all the way. "You're welcome", she laughed, watching as it sat down next to the kirin and started showing off her new toy. Suddenly, the wyvern that had been sitting on top of her head leaped off and glided over to where the kitsune and kirin were playing with the camera. She guessed it had gotten curious about the camera as well.
She jumped slightly at the sound of Adam's voice, having been lost in thought, then blushed brightly at the compliment. "What can I say, years of work has taught me that most animals respond well to kindness and respect. You treat them kindly, more often than not, they will respond to that kindness", the vet replied before continuing, "These creatures appear to be very similar in that respect, they just need to be given the chance."
Wayra couldn't help but smile from ear to ear as she stood there, taking in her surroundings. The creatures here looked so happy, so full of life. A stark contrast of the group's previous encounter on the mountain. She only hoped more areas were happy and peaceful like this. Everything was better when there was harmony. And these creatures proved they were capable of maintaining that harmony.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her stomach growling. Her blush from before returned as her hands absently went to her stomach. It was starting to get towards that time, wasn't it? Looking around, she quickly spotted their guide. "How much longer do we have before we have to leave? It's getting close to dinnertime, isn't it?"

Kiera had decided to stand back and allow Mermaid group some extra time with the creatures while she drank some more water. She'd said her piece about the protection against violent outbursts, and it was not on her to stuff that information again and again down their throats. At the least they looked to be enjoying themselves for the most part now, what with Wayra going and showing the kitsune how the camera worked. The lab tech allowed herself a little smile before wiping it away because professionalism.
"I see we're getting to know the wildlife here, but we're at a crossroads. I've been informed," she said, wiggling her cellphone, "that the dining hall is now open. We can continue to one more area, or if you're famished we can stop the tour for now so you can grab some grub. Which would you prefer?"
"And that..." Adam pointed with both of his fingers for emphasis. "...is why you get the big bucks." To be honest, he wasn't sure what veterinarians made. But he knew it didn't feel right to him, if the zoo she worked at wasn't slapping her with a pile of twenties.
"I'd be fine with heading to dinner. All of this adventuring does work up an appetite." He welcomed the change of scenery too. He assumed dinner would be held in a dining room or cafeteria and not another doggone forest. If it was in a forest, he would scream.

Wayra chuckled at Adam's reply, not sure how much fifty thousand dollars a year equated to 'big bucks'. She did her job more for the animals, the money was just a perk that she got to maintain a decent standard of living.
Turning her thoughts to the guide's question, Wayra thought for a moment, but was once again interrupted by her stomach growling. "I think my stomach's trying to say it wants to take a break", she chuckled nervously before clearing her throat. "In any case, this looks like a good stopping point since the creatures look like they're starting to wind down and do their own thing. So I vote for the dining hall", she decided with a nod of her head.

Lydia had remained unnaturaly silent on the ride over to their next destination. She had sat in the SUV, staring pointedly down at her notebook with all of the various things she had written, while holding old black and white photographs in her right hand. When the car stopped, she looked out of the window, squinted at the various blurred shapes of creatures and people alike, but made no move to emerge from the vehicle and interact with anyone or anything herself.
Like the others, a bad feeling had tightly wound itself up in the pit of her stomach, and that feeling would not ease up, but instead got worse as the day went on.
She shoved the notebook and pictures back into her bag, and huffed out a sigh, before closing her eyes and resting her head on the top of the seat. She was probably just tired after the long trip, jet lagged, grumpy, overwhelmed....a good meal and a full nights sleep, if she even could sleep, was likely just what she needed.
She quietly waited for the others to finish, ready to leave as soon as they were.

Wayra gave a stretch and gave one last look at the surrounding area. The kitsune, kirin, and mini wyvern all playing with the camera. The dragon lazing in the shadows of the trees. The fu dog strutting around like it was a show dog. The calm and happy atmosphere. A small smile played on her face as she watched them interact and frolic without a care.
She spent a moment imprinting that scene in her mind, hoping that she would find something just as good, if not better, once they set out exploring again. Making sure Steve's camera was safely tucked away in her messenger bag, Wayra turned and got into the SUV that would take her to the dining hall.

It's the very early morning, the dawn just a little bit away, when the power goes out. For the creatures of the Park, it brings an astonishing change, one they've never really experienced before. The spot in their body where their chip resides is now motionless and silent. For some it's a bit alarming, as if a piece of them is dead. Then they notice other creature crossing the boundaries between zones by themselves. By now their dinner is wearing off, and without the sedatives they find themselves more aware and energetic than usual, not to mention worried about being fed.
To the south, they can feel something powerful growing, something wonderful and tempting. Something that's ushered along by the sounds of human screams. This is how the guests and staff of Wonder Park begin their second of the visit. Where yesterday majestic creatures of legend and myth roamed, living nightmares now stalk. And they are hungry.
