Whimpering pitifully, the pup crawled back to his feet and started to trudge off into a back corner of the cave.

"Then start acting in a respectable manner and you wont." He paused, was Smith really that heartless to treat a small little pup like this? ...yeah he was. "Now go find someone to join us, I don't care who, just do it and do it before tomorrow comes."

Stopping his trek towards a back corner, the pup whimpered and headed off outside.
"Yes sir......."
Trudging off into the grass, Cypher made a promise to himself. The next Tala he came in contact with, was coming back to that cave whether they wanted to or not.
Annnnd...they did. A while later, Cypher trotted back into Smith's cave, totting along another Tala by the scruff of his neck. A....very tiny Tala...
"Let me go!!"
Lunaris squirmed in Cypher's grasp, batting at the larger pup with his paws.

Smith stared...Cypher had brought...SOMETHING...back, but what the hell was it? It looked like some kind of giant rat or just a very very small Tala.
"Cypher...just what the hell is that thing?"

For someone so tiny, Lunaris sure did have a huge temper.
Cypher trotted over to Smith, dropping the pup at his feet so he could talk.
"I brought someone back!!"
Cyper grinned up at Smith, tail wagging. Praise was sure to follow this time!

"So you did Cypher, so you did. And it looks like this tiny Talaye has some fight in him. Good work." Smith gave Cypher a nod and then directed his attention to Lunaris. "You, little rat, what is your name?"

Cypher beamed, tail wagging furiously. It had been a long time coming, but the praise was certainly worth it.
Now if only he could get Smith to give him some steak or something....
"I am NOT a rat!"
Despite the obvious size difference, Lunaris marched right up to Smith and snarled up at him.
"My name is Lunaris, call me anything else and you'll have hell to pay."

Smith glared down at Lunaris, "Alright, RAT, I'm going to say this once and only once, you may have whatever you wish if you join me. If you don't join me however, I think I'll just kill you where you stand for that attitude you're giving me." He spread his tentacles menicingly and raised his tail ready to slaughter the tiny Tala. "Any objections?"

Lunaris quieted down at the obvious show of force, though the promise of anything he wanted had already caught his interest.
"........I'll stay............if you stop calling me rat."
Cypher instinctively shrunk away from Smith, even if the tentacle raising wasn't aimed at him.

"Good, that's what I wanted to hear. Now then Lunaris, you'll be Cypher's assistant on all his missions, understood?" Smith had clearly won this one over without a fight, and having Lunaris serve under Cypher should boost his morality and loyalty.

Lunaris didn't quite like the idea, but he knew if he spoke up he'd get killed... In time he could off the other pup and take his job...oh yes.
"....fine by me."
Feeling the danger was over, Cypher trotted back over to his master.
"I get an assistant?"

Smith looked to Cypher, and with an all knowing tone he spoke, "Of course Cypher, I did say there were perks to following me didn't I? Lets say this is one of them."

Lunaris eyed the other pup, snorting at the chain around his neck.
"What the hell is up with the stupid bike chain?"
Cypher snarled at his new assistant.
"Shut it, I wear it because I want to. If you have a problem with that....I just don't care."
Funny how he went from being incredibly timid towards Smith to being totally in charge when dealing with Lunaris.
Lunaris however, just snarled back, fur bristling.

"SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!" Smith didn't like the two acting so childish, plus it wore on his nerves, it was quite annoying having two seemingly adult acting Tala quickly turn into children.
