Vermin? Sera thought, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion as he took in Sage's appearance. This was strange -- not only was this the first time since gradeschool that Sage had approached Sera, the girl seemed strangely demure. Maybe it had to do with the injuries she was sporting, but Sera felt like he had reason to doubt that. Injuries had never once stopped Sage's temper before.
There was silence for a moment, and Sera watched as Sage's eyes darted somewhere next to him. Sera followed her gaze, eyebrows raising slightly when he realized Sage was looking at his locker. Blue scribbles were everywhere over the metal front, a feeble attempt at hiding the various slurs that had been slapped onto his locker by other students. Sera made a noise of recognition.
